I've been coming here for years! Very good French bakery of top quality. All sandwiches and treats are authentically French. Also has one of the best croissants in the Netherlands!

You can taste real craftsmanship here.

Nice little french style bakery with a large range of pastries, cakes, tarts, and bread. Very well priced and great staff who seem to manage the line of waiting customers well. A small sign says that they don't accept cash. The pastry presentation and flake was excellent, though we would have liked to have had slightly more filling inside the chausson aux pommes and pain au chocolat. Will definitely be back to try the amazing looking bread which you can see the bakers putting in the oven.

Best bakery in the area. The baguettes are great but the cakes and parties are incredible! Always friendly service but the small confined shop space means that the queuing is sometimes a mess and you need to jump in when it's your turn as many people seem to struggle with the concept of queues. Also families seem to enjoy visiting this small shop and you'll often seen parents with 3-4 kids shoving to get inside together when only one person is actually choosing and buying anything...not on the shop, just unfortunate that the space and layout plus the crowd make it chaotic at times. Still worth the wait as the produce is amazing!

We drive regularly about 100km round trip just to shop here. It is, hands down, the best french bakery in the Netherlands. We have origins in the south of France and Le Fournil is sometimes much better than the bakeries in France (they are masters of canelé and rhubarb taartjes ). The only negative is that they are not in Den Haag yet. Otherwise, just perfection.

loved the chausson aux pommes, bauguette there, choissant is hit or miss now and then, sometimes the choissant served is not fresh one.

We bought 2 tartatelle, one with strawberries and one with lime, and they were really good (though not exceptional). However, we also bought some bread, and I have the feeling it has been frozen and defrosted that same morning, making it a bit chewy and cold on the inside.

Good bakery with good quality food and original options. Prices are lower compared to Amsterdam bakeries (especially in the city center). Staff was kind and friendly! The atmosphere is that of a typical bakery, with little space inside but it’s okay! I recommend having something to eat and then go for a walk in Amsterdamse Bos, just a few meters behind the place!

Delicious French bread, tasty sandwiches, tasty snacks and pastries. Our daughter and my husband love the madeleines. I love the canelés, nut bread and cigalou. The bread doesn't need any toppings, it's that tasty! We always buy something for the weekend, unfortunately the stock never makes it to the end of the weekend, but we enjoy it!

Le Fournil is a French Bakery delivering quality breads, rolls and baguettes as well as tarts and other sweet bread. The prefou is wonderful and if a baguette is too much they also carry a smaller ficel. On Saturday and in the morning you can expect queuing. They are simply that good.

It’s always tasty, sometimes a bit crowded but mainly since it’s so good. Staff are friendly and the prices totally worth what they’re offering.

This bakery is a gem! The bread is always fresh and delicious, no wonder there is almost always a long line but it is worth the wait. I really like they have a good variety and can also find tasty gluten free bread. Staff is always nice and friendly. My kids love going there. Even when some people find it annoying we love that you can be address both in Dutch or English. The best is the taste of real butter!!!

Perfect croissants and pain au chocolat!

Really sad to see the quality go down so much! We got the citroen pie which is one of my favourites from here but was sad to see that the pie crust over super overbaked and hard it was difficult to even cut! I am surprised that they are even selling such pies when the store always had such good quality. It’s a bit unfair that you would sell it to customers when it’s clearly visible the product didn’t meet your own quality standards.

Le Fournil de Sébastien is exactly what you would expect from a French bakery. The Chausson aux pommes are highly recommended, they make the most delicious Brioche and the baguettes are always fresh and crispy. They also have delicious little Michettes with different flavors. The service is sublime. The best (French) bakery in Amstelveen.

I applaud the artisan baker (entrepreneur) back in the shopping street. And the products are good. I just get the impression that this entrepreneur has mainly established himself for the large group of expats. I am referring to the inability to pay with cash and the foreign staff. You will often be addressed directly in English. I will ignore the pricing for the moment, because everything is more expensive. But I wonder whether this bakery still serves the old residents and is therefore a real asset to the neighborhood.

The thin garlic bread is legendary. It’s always busy for a reason. All in all a really tasty French bakery.

Went last Friday sooooo that was just as nice. As a foodie, I got the tastiest sandwich of my life there (the one with salmon and such) and some really great types of bread. It's out of the way, but I'm happy to drive around here and the staff was also great, very friendly girls.

Great products, everything super fresh and pure taste! We come from Rotterdam especially for this bakery. Because we come from further away, we also store the bread in the freezer, so the bread stays fresh and this is also a clear difference from other bakers.

Raised a big finger to those banks that want to gain complete control because everything has to become digital according to the agenda. Look at China, this is how you want to run your business... Bought 4 croissants and 4 petit pain this morning. The crossaints were very nice, also cracked very nicely, but were not very special in terms of structure and taste, but tasty and certainly worth the money, but this bakery is so hyped that I really expected more, I can get better ones at another bakery in the neighborhood (also really French) The Petit pains were a completely different story, these were just undercooked, the dough inside was still very moist and it looked more like a gumball than a sandwich. What a shame, this must have been a mistake, because I can't imagine that this bread can get such good reviews. Please take this review for what it is, the opinion of 1 person and also a snapshot. I really believe that things can be better than what I've experienced, but I'm not going to make a detour for it anymore.

This is a true and authentic french bakery. The breads and pastry is as good as you get in Paris. Oh my my one of our favorite places. My partner works near by so can always stop and get fresh buttery treats.

I have been following this bakery on Facebook for years. Their products always look delicious. Since I don't live nearby, I decided to order cake for my birthday. The lemon tarts, raspberry tarts and the rhubarb pistachio crumble were disappointing. I would describe the bottom of the tarts as too hard butter cake, the cream of the lemon tarts was very thick and too sweet. The freshness I expected was not there. The combination of pistachio cream with rhubarb is not tasty and the crumb was dry. Who knows, their bread might be delicious, but I won't return for pastries.

What a breath of fresh air this real French bakery is, here you get real baguette as it should be and very friendly staff
