Terrible service, we reserved for a large group and were given 2 four tops where people had to sit with their backs together. When we asked to turn the tables (since we were in a corner with no one next to us but the staff cleaning station) the server only agreed with an eye roll and a sigh. It was hard to get the server’s attention all night so in 3 hours we only ordered 3 rounds of drinks. The food is all frozen stuff that they hide in a bunch of cheap sauces to make it seem edible. None of our large group will be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

The atmosphere is good, and the interior is very nice. The service was okay, but the English-speaking staff reacted a bit irritated when Dutch was spoken. And I was given red wine in a water glass.

A truly beautiful place, superbly decorated, great selection, and excellent service. The milkshakes are fantastic, they're worth their weight in gold! And a fantastic pinball machine!

The tables are dirty, and the ashtrays are full. If you ask her to wipe the table or empty the ashtray, the waitress becomes irritable. The food, drinks, and ambiance are nice. You should still try; you'll likely find another waiter.

A homemade lemonade is really nice! But for €4.95, you'd expect more than just three sips and a glass full of ice...

Last night's waiter handed us our two drinks—he had to sneeze. Didn't he tilt his head to the side or something, and actually sneeze INTO our drinks?! I gave him a side-eye look like, "Um, I hope we get new cocktails..."? He just gave us the drinks we sneezed into. So much and so disrespectful, YUCK!!!

A nice, central spot for a drink. You can also grab a bite to eat, but be sure to try some very simple pub grub. Or, as others have described it: a bit bland and very salty. And yes, the music is set to "table companion unintelligible" (even on Wednesday evenings before eight o'clock ;-)

The waitress was very rude about the tip and then got angry about the offensive language, while everyone on the terrace agreed that this never happened.

We stopped here right after completing our visit to the nearby Dom Tower (Domtoren). Arriving around 12:00 🕛, we sat down at one of the outdoor tables. From the first glance 👀, we immediately appreciated the unique and alternative style of the decor and, more generally, the theming of the establishment. The reference to "The Big Lebowski" (the famous Coen brothers' film 🎬) is obvious, starting from the name of the place itself. In any case, we ordered some cold drinks given the heat 🌡🥵 outside. The staff were friendly and the prices were generally reasonable. The bathrooms 🚾🚽 were generally tidy 🧻🧴. The location is obviously strategic. I recommend it 👍. Bad quality in food, the patty of their best seller burger was tasteless and the bun distasteful. Would surely not recommend this pub for food.

My favorite bar in Utrecht! The food is average (Hello The Netherlands) but the drinks are good, the atmosphere and decor are great and the prices are affordable.

I’ve been here a few times with friends, but I would not recommend this place. Very expensive, service is bad and the drinks sizes (cocktails and wine) are definitely getting smaller.

I didn't get my money back after being refused service because I didn't have an ID. It's perfectly understandable that I wouldn't be served alcohol (even though I'm 25+) if I didn't have an ID, but it's strange that you don't get your money back...

Food is trash. Menu SEEMS appealing, but they really tart it up with nice words (and very high prices). “Nashville hot chicken” ended up being three tiny frozen chicken tenders from the super market with a bit of seasoning.

Nice place for a drink, but the food is really awful; a student makes it even better. The Nashville hot chicken was literally three chicken nuggets and a pickle.

The food is a plate-service affair. Delicious and well-prepared, but just enough. Service is fast, and keep in mind that almost everything is in English. The menu too! The atmosphere is cozy with a mix of furniture, so nice!

Very bad service. I had to stand up to call the waiter to order our food, then he brought us 4 out of 5 burgers. Also, didn’t have a fork, had to stand up again to go ask. Burgers were dry and simple, bread of Albertijn. No separate bills. Two stars because the fries were good.

Of the four staff members we dealt with, three were unmotivated. Find another job if you don't like it. The fourth was friendly. The apple pie was too dry.

Incredibly rude waitress. It's a nice place, by the way, but when a waitress doesn't know which beer to serve to whom and you try to help, you get yelled at.

At first glance, this seemed like a nice place to meet up with a group of friends. We sat inside, but didn't really get served… we had to keep going to the bartender, and then someone from the waitstaff would be sent over. The patio took priority. The food was okay, but not great.

I'm surprised by all the positive reviews about this place. If you think you can expect good cocktails or food here, I have to disappoint you: that's absolutely not the case. We ordered a White Russian, and everyone knows it's served with cream, but here they just put milk in it. The wine was served in a glass that had clearly been through the dishwasher for years and was completely disgusting. It gives such a cheap impression. For these prices, you expect quality, but this was a disaster. Never again.

A busy establishment where, if you can find a seat, you can sample good food and drinks.

For a restaurant with this kind of pricing and being in the centre, you'd expect a perfect service. That is unfortunately not the case. Had to urge the order and even then we had to wait for additional 30 mins, while the place was almost empty. Cannot recommend, sorry. Improve your service, mates.

Places like Lebowski have much more importance to the city than we think. I feel like they change its vibe, make it better and more lively. I come here every now and then, sometimes to get a good meal, or to have some nice beer with friends. At every time of the day, this place is enjoyable. I’d surely recommend coming here at night too though :)

Food is good and service is decent. The only minus point for me was that the plate my food was served on was chipped at several places. Would have been 5 stars if the plate wasn't damaged.

Whatever you do, do not procure their house wine. It has a substantial undertone of brake fluid and a not so delicate note of old socks.

Nobody goes to a bar at 8pm for the music, but mainly to talk. The music got louder and louder, until at 9pm we had to shout to hear each other. Why is that? Nobody wants this. Nobody dances. This just seemed to stroke the DJ's ego. Just turn the music up to background music. Beer was nice though.

Delicious bar food in what feels like a mature dove bar. The portions were great, and the fire were perfectly soft on the inside with an outside shell. The pulled chicken taco was very good! If you wanted fries on the side that would be extra, but between the milkshake and the tacos, it’s was very filling!!

My rate 3/5. This is my 3rd times here. The last 2 times were better. Now the food quality was dropped. Before it was more like a restaurant now its more like a bar. We have leftover food but they don't have take away bag it was a shame. It was busy so it's hard to get their attention. It's a cool place hopefully it would be better next time!

My White Russian milkshake was really nice, but my friend had red wine and it was a bit strange that it was served in a regular glass. Apart from that, the staff was hard to reach most of the time :(

Bar for young people, excellent payment system at the table and quick service. Waiters sometimes clumsy, I often saw part of the glasses spilled. Food ok.

I decided to come back here again after a good experience, but this time I was not so satisfied. To start we ordered the pistachio milkshake as indicated, but unfortunately it was thin milk with a chocolate mint flavor. Fortunately, the service was quick to correct it and removed the milkshake from the bill, thank you. Then they disappeared for a long time so that we ended up having only one or two drinks per person in two and a half hours. My last drink never came. Then it took a while before we could pay. I don't understand how they make a profit... I was looking forward to trying the cocktails but there isn't much variety, everything is with lemon and lime. The food was okay for bar food, nothing special. Enjoyed the music!

Beautiful place to have a nice chat with friends. Great interior. But unfortunately the service was not attentive to the drinks and the food (vegan rendang Fries) was really salty. And I don't know if they do that so that you drink more or if the chef was over-the-top with the salt, but unfortunately these fries were not recommended.

Super cozy place for a drink in the evening! There is a very nice atmosphere, everyone is pleasant and not just tourists or young people but a good mix. We used the QR code on the table and that worked fine. Cocktails were not expensive and plenty of choice.

Nice speakeasy vibes in the bar at the back/top of Lebowski. You can sit comfortably there (the chairs were not necessarily very comfortable. But it does exude the retro/vintage atmosphere that suits such a bar. And the cocktails were excellent. I recommend that you reserve a spot to avoid disappointment.

Soggy, sweet roll with a greasy hunk of meat slapped on top… for 15 euros. You also get an orange-colored substance that looks a bit like cheese. The dude does not abide, I think.

Here you are not allowed to accidentally step on someone's foot, otherwise security will come after you, especially if you are 'non-Dutch'. We expect an apology.

Unfriendly staff. Couldn't take a seat with a group, even though there was room. Treated unfriendly, curt. When we ordered a bottle of fine, we received soft drink glasses. When asked if there were any wine glasses, the answer was a short “no”. In short, bad service, big mouth back and unfriendly staff.

I visited this establishment around 1:30 AM with my wife to purchase a Pepsi, as it was the only place open at that hour. While the bartender inside was friendly and provided good service, our experience was ruined by an aggressive staff member outside. After purchasing our Pepsi in a glass bottle and heading out, a staff member began shouting at us about taking glass outside. When I attempted to ask for clarification about whether this policy applied to sealed Pepsi bottles, he refused to let me speak and continued yelling aggressively. His behavior was extremely unprofessional and hostile, especially considering we were unaware of any such policy and had not been informed about it during our purchase. His aggressive demeanour and unwillingness to communicate properly made us feel discriminated against as non-Dutch customers. This type of treatment is unacceptable for any business. Due to this experience, neither we nor our friends will return to this establishment. I would strongly caution other potential customers about the hostile treatment they might encounter here, particularly if they are tourists or non-Dutch speakers.

It is a spacious pub with a pleasant atmosphere. In general, their music was also enjoyable. Their menus are sweet too.

We were here on a Monday evening with a group of colleagues for a drink. The decor and atmosphere is lovely, music is good, and there was a nice crowd even though it was a weekday. Unfortunately, the service was a bit disappointing. The staff was polite and friendly, but drinks took a while to arrive, and when they did, were served in random glasses because they didn’t have a lot of clean ones. A beer glass that doesn’t match the beer is maybe understandable, but drinking wine from a water glass is really quite a sad experience.

They don't understand hospitality here. When we took our seats, I had to take medication. Because we hadn't been helped yet, I quickly swallowed it down with some drink that I still had in my bag. The waitress immediately came rushing over to us to tell us that she was going to throw away the drink or that we could leave. I replied that I just had to take some medication and that we were simply planning to order properly. Then she threw the cutlery on the table without looking. After being treated in this way, we decided to leave. On the way out we were also called after because she wanted to discuss. Had a really bad experience here.

Made a reservation here for a drink with a group of colleagues. Unfortunately not worth repeating, despite positive experiences in the past. I was just really ashamed of my colleagues for the downright anti-social behavior of the lady serving. This concerned the person who was allowed to take the orders. From the very first moment, the response to everything was passive aggressive and extremely antisocial. Those who brought the drinks and snacks were friendly.

This was already on the radar before our arrival in Utrecht. It certainly didn't disappoint. Friendly, informed bar staff, quirky decor, and decent music made it more than cosy. So good, we visited twice. Check out the descent to the loos.

A little drink with friends in this magnificent place which deserves a stop! The decor is superb, as are the beers on offer! The only downside is a short wait to be served despite the off-peak hour in the bar... very good service though.

Bad service, firstly you have to order online. Then you give a note for, for example, honey with the mint tea. This is forgotten when serving. Then I immediately ask for it. Then I'm forgotten, so I have to ask again. The tea has now cooled down considerably and the honey is therefore not absorbed. We ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream, but it was hot milk with a faint chocolate flavor. I understand that Utrecht is a multicultural city, which is nice. But it's still in the Netherlands. Is it a small effort for the waiter to ask if it can be done in English? Hospitality business, where's the hospitality?!

An incredibly bad place, 15 people come in with 85 euros of beer and then order 50 snacks and after that we don't get any drinks and we are kicked out. Close to nothing because there are 15 of us, come on, nothing was done wrong, and then this

With a nice group of girls, just before twelve, asked if they were open.....answer...What do you think? In a very unfriendly tone. There was a broom blocking the entrance. Next to sit down (at badabing) two minutes later the broom disappeared......

Ordering takes forever, you order a bottle of prosecco, you get your drink without glasses, ask twice for glasses, after 30 minutes there is still no glass in sight, and the table is downright disgusting; see photo:

If you like fruity flavors in beers and you don’t used to drink,you should Liefmans fruitesse. Another order is x star martini. The alcohol rate was good enough. The location was so good. After visiting the Dom Tower, we had pleasant time!

We were trying to order from 20:50. We were avoided consistently. We were helped at 21:04 after the kitchen conveniently closed so we couldn't order what we wanted. Not angry, just disappointed.

We visited this bar, we just wanted to have a couple of drinks. We ordered a beer and a wine, finished them and for the bill. But when we were leaving, the waitress ran after us and told us that we left a mess.... The "mess" was a couple of napkins and beer coasters left by my baby. And my wife helped with cleaning it.... The behaviour of the waitress was so disrespectful and disgusting, I would never recommend visiting this place if you expect some respect and service.
