Had coffee and cake, simple restaurant in a beautiful location in the beautiful Zutphen.

We arrived a bit late for lunch, around 3:30 pm, but we were welcomed without any issue. Our order was taken very quickly. The menu is simple and appealing; we only had croquettes and fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. Simple dishes, but extremely well prepared, using fresh products. A real pleasure. Very warm welcome, and a beautiful view with the sunset as a bonus. Highly recommended.

Nice place for coffee. The weather was gloomy here, but in summer you'd probably have a beautiful view of the IJssel River. The cake was delicious, by the way, and the coffee was okay.

We sat down to eat. After a very long wait, someone came to ask if we wanted to order. After even longer, we finally got our drinks and a menu. They have a sort of open kitchen concept, where a young man was pouring drinks on the left. It was scorching hot, and this young man was constantly wiping his sweaty face with his hands and styling his sweaty hair, then constantly grabbing nuts from the storage bin there. If you ordered a snack, you got a handful of sweaty face nuts with it. So incredibly disgusting, and no one said anything. Although they could have, because the staff were more likely to be chatting at the drinks counter than taking orders. To top it all off, the filthy man went to the restroom WITH his phone. With hygiene being such a low priority, you can't imagine us eating here.

Had a delicious double espresso with monchou cake with a view over the IJssel.

Had delicious coffee and pastries with a beautiful view. The staff was also super friendly.

We stopped by here with Smakaverkenners and had a wonderful time. The cake and coffee were delicious, and the service was very friendly. And a beautiful view too! A wonderful way to start the day.

Lovely place on the Ijselkade in Zutphen, recently renovated, relaxed atmosphere.

We (two people) went there on a Saturday morning. Even though it wasn't really busy, we weren't helped. After fifteen minutes, we decided to leave and find a terrace in town.

Very nice with a view of the water, you can sit and have a bite to eat.

Last week we visited Lekker aan de IJssel three times. One day for wine and snacks, once for lunch, and once for dinner. A fantastic location, very friendly, welcoming, and cheerful staff, and the food was excellent. We had a wonderful time, and if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

Delicious iced coffee! The only minor drawback is that racing bikes have to be stored (too) far away, out of sight; at the owner's request.

What a disgrace. Lunch was just put on the plate without any decoration. It looked awful. Cold and obviously from yesterday. The staff was incompetent and unfriendly. And what a waste of money for this poor quality. Never go back to this restaurant. Oh yeah, and clean your toilet.

The toasted sandwich had very little pulled chicken on it. Glasses weren't clean, the teaspoons were dirty and brown, as was the lemon pestle in the ideal tea.

We had to wait a long time for our food, which tasted good, but the portions were absurd for the price, in our opinion. You get more for your money next door.

It was wonderful to be there with our two grandchildren. Lots of fun playing in the water. A cup of coffee and apple juice, one pastry, and cookies for the grandchildren. Friendly service 👍

Sat outside and had a lovely drink. After visiting Zutphen town center, we went back for lunch.

Enjoying a glass of wine in such a beautiful spot at the end of the afternoon is, of course, fantastic. The "Cava" on the menu wasn't available, and the "Grüner Veltliner" took ages to arrive. And the requested lemon with the sparkling water wasn't delivered. Luckily, a young waitress came to the rescue. This really has to improve...! In such a beautiful spot, on such a beautiful day, things simply have to run smoothly.

Went here for a drink on a summer evening. It wasn't even finished before someone came by (8:15 PM) or wanted another drink. It was the last round. There were no set closing times. According to the server, the manager decided when they closed. A shame for the group of 11 and 4 people who had come in and wanted a drink. Personally, set closing times seem more practical to me. The drinks were fine. However, several of the chair seats were secured with cable ties.

Had a delicious sundae. Nice patio and beautiful location. There's also a fun water playground for the little ones.

Yesterday afternoon, my wife and I went to lunch at Lekker aan de IJssel. Beautiful weather, a lovely location, and an excellent menu, including vegetarian options. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience. The main course—ravioli with mozzarella for me and the veggie burger for my wife—was barely cold! It was a shame, as it lost most of the flavor. The service, too, left a lot to be desired. I was already halfway through my main course before my glass of wine was finally brought, after having to ask for it repeatedly. I ultimately decided to skip my second glass of wine, as it had been conveniently forgotten. It's a real shame; with a little more attention to detail and serving hot dishes that should be hot, things might have improved. But for us, this was the last time. Giddie Ritzerveld.

A great place for lunch. I recommend trying the delicious focaccia! Lovely atmosphere, right on the IJssel River, and friendly service!

The staff was constantly busy with each other and paid little attention to the guests. Normally a pleasant experience, but this time it was a bad one. The carpaccio was also watery. We left after the appetizer and found another restaurant to continue our meal.

The terrace is a lovely spot for a delicious lunch, and there's also a surprising vegetarian option, which is great!

What a disappointment this place was... a long wait for your order to be taken... a long wait for your order to arrive at your table even though it wasn't busy... a clumsily put-together "toastie" with far too little mackerel and a lot of soggy stuff... 3 mini croquettes with bread... the price and quality were completely out of proportion... the studenty waiter simply waved away our comment about the above... ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I've never been here before, so I can't say much about the quality of the food. I can say, however, that the interaction with the often young staff could be a lot better. I've heard several stories now, and I think it's a shame that young people are often exploited or receive completely baseless criticism. Working far too much and being asked to work too much is never good. As a company, you should be protecting your young staff from burnout. It's a shame that little attention is paid to this. I'd say, if you ever eat here, give your waitress a little extra tip. That might even things out a bit. They work (sometimes too) hard, and they deserve it! :)

Not really good value for money. Portions are small (you're meant to take 2-3 per person) but the price was high per portion. Also some dishes have a much larger portion size than others. Nice location and the food was quite alright in terms of taste, but don't be surprised by the high price.

Sitting outside is not really atmospheric. Inside it is. The waiters walk around a bit 'student'.

Too bad! Fries were full of grease and inedible, when confronted she said something like unfortunately I am not allowed to taste, I am not allowed to eat during my work. Staff at the moment bad for the business and owner if you have to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the table to order.

Just a bit too windy for the terrace so enjoyed the sun from behind the glass. Varied snack platter and tasty drinks, friendly service.

We had to wait almost 20 minutes before we were helped and it wasn't even very busy. Not much choice on the menu, unless you are vegetarian or vegan.

Worth one more star in itself. But closing the kitchen between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. (it is stated) is not convenient. Certainly not with the nice weather. You put another staff member in the kitchen. Had enough staff. Everything else looks neat. Nice location.

Half portions, whole prices. The place is fantastic, but stick to a drink. We ordered a salad with mozzorela and nuts. Desert plate with lots of green and zero nut. Oh wait, that faint white stuff is slivered almond, it was explained to us. And that for the price of a meal salad.

What a wonderful place to stay after visiting the city. A very full terrace and yet we still got a nice spot to enjoy the view! Nice and friendly staff! And a nice glass of wine!

After a walk through beautiful Zutphen, had lunch here. Great experience, cheerful service. The curry soup and mackerel toast were both well received, although a bit on the high price. There was also a live band playing for the ambiance.

After a long walk from Deventer. Settled down at Lekker aan de IJssel with the dog. We received a warm welcome and our dog a cookie and water. Then enjoyed a beer, salmon tompouce and tunamelt. The dishes were tasty and good portions. Because of the sun, the view of the Ijssel made it complete.

Hans and his team serve a delicious drink and a snack in their own atmosphere at a top location.

The IJssel Borrelplank is surprisingly generous and complete. Recommended.

When we are in the area we always go here. Lunch, dinner, always so delicious!! Nice service. This time only coffee with delicious apple strudel, but we saw delicious lunches again. Highly recommended!

A little more attention to the terrace and inside is welcome. Lots of sloppily cleared tables outside, napkins lying around and food on the floor. Many stains on the benches and garden chair cushions across the scaffolding wooden benches. Especially young staff, there is no room for small talk.

Didn't order anything in the end. We like to smoke a cigar outside, but that is not allowed on this terrace. We were allowed to order and then sit outside the terrace. Well, then a bottle of coke from the supermarket is a lot cheaper.

Nice place on the IJssel. Terrace is non-smoking. Food difficult to estimate. Kitchen was not open yet.

I ordered 2 skewers of chicken satay, but that was about it. 2 Small skewers topped with a satay sauce that is too thin and a forkful of carrot salad as a plate decoration. Furthermore, on the flat plate, 3 pieces of "sloppy" casave prawn crackers. The napkin was missing when serving and the cutlery on the table was not clean. At Euro 13.75 this is too brief and far too expensive. Also amateurish service without knowledge of what is offered. To ease the suffering a bit, 2 stars. But not actually deserved.

Friendly service, beautiful location. Bread with dip and wine were good. However, the zucchini soup was watery, so we didn't order anything else. Gave feedback to the waitress about the soup, also about the dirty tin containing the cutlery. I hope they do something about it.

We sat here for lunch. After half an hour of asking where our food was, it would arrive shortly. Left after an hour because there was no food yet. Location very beautiful.

My husband and I bought an ice cream for 1.75 per person. 1 ball each on a cone like that.... I call that a curl of 1 bite!? Not even a real scoop of ice cream!!?? We will never get ice cream here again!!!! Scandalous, that's how you get your profit for a while, but not in the long run, it seems to me.....really bad!!

Arrived around 7pm, were not greeted when we arrived, were not given a menu card for something to eat or a snack, when we asked for it later (7:30pm) they no longer accepted food. Empty glasses were taken away without offering new drinks, staff audibly urged each other to work harder because it was busy, super derogatory. Top tent.

All the reviews you read about this establishment are correct. Both positive and negative. Let me limit myself to the absolute plus: the location and the view. Everything else will be fine...

At the collection point: We ate 3 fries with sauce. Very expensive! 15.75! The fries were very salty! The cone was only half full! Many fries were not cooked enough! Didn't get a fork or napkin! In short, worthless, never buy anything here again!

Update: today we went out for dinner in honor of his successful son. Tables on the beautiful IJssel side were set for a group of (successful) students. After the group entered, the atmosphere had taken over and normal conversation at the table was hardly possible anymore. I think you should close the rest of the tent. Shame. Nice meal in honor of my birthday, small portions; tapas concept. Very friendly service who is also up for a joke. Glad that we can now enjoy a delicious meal at this top location.

The place is great, but I miss the cozy atmosphere of the owner and staff. There is hardly any contact made, there is hardly a smile. And the sun was still shining so cheerfully!

We were kindly received. Beautiful place to look out over the river. But the experience was disappointing for us. The coffee tasted fine. But the tompouce was tough. Someone slapped a card on the table without greeting. No one came to us anymore. Staff walked by. But they made no contact. We didn't feel wanted, paid and left. Wasn't that nice on the IJssel, unfortunately.

We politely asked if we could sit on the terrace, there were about 10 tables full. After 25 minutes we left, no one came to ask if we wanted something to drink or something. While the girls who worked there were having a nice chat with each other.

Nice place. But we were less happy about the portions. Tasty but small for what you pay. . A little celeriac fries and some fish. Tasty but not Haute cuisine. Just fine diner food, but not enough.

I think it's great when the menu says something different than usual. In this case it was the celeriac fries, which was a tasty change for me. The dishes were nicely prepared. The staff was friendly and the prices were absolutely okay. Nice view from inside and outside from the terrace.
