The most delicious iced matcha in Amsterdam! I chose the "Passion" flavor, and the proportions were perfect; not too sweet, and the matcha itself wasn't bitter. The staff was also incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was very cozy. There was also a wide selection of pastries; I chose the pistachio croissant, and it was incredibly fresh. I'll definitely be back!

Since you only sell coffee and pastries i would expect a better coffee. I was surprised that the coffee is served with 2 shots as a standard which is too much caffeine for me so i asked for 1 shot latte, but the coffee was too watery/milky then with no taste. Milk was too hot. Girl that worked was nice. But in general one the worst lattes i had in amsterdam

The milk was too hot, the coffee felt burnt. Definetely that s not a specialty coffee and not worth the money. There are a lot of other cafes where they offer specialty coffee for the same money. And they don t clean the tables fast enough and u stay with the garbage from other customers.

Nice place overall. Patries pretty good, the cappuccino was quite bitter for my taste and I think double shot as I felt quite jittery a few hours later. I wish they served some tap water with the coffee as it is customary, and bring along some sugar.

Best café in De Pijp! Since I discovered Liev, I've loved coming here. The atmosphere is so relaxed, like dropping in on friends. The staff is always friendly and genuinely welcoming; you immediately feel at ease. The coffee and drinks are excellent, but what makes it special for me is simply how comfortable it is there. Whether I'm having a coffee alone or with friends, it always feels good. A place you really have to visit once (and probably more often after that).

I usually expect more from a specialty coffee shop, but this visit was very disappointing. The milk was scorched, which overpowered the cup, and the coffee itself lacked flavor and character. Overall, it just didn’t live up to the hype.

The place is nice, coffee and smoothies were good, not exceptional. We had a few pastries. The croissant was okay, the apple cake really good and the cinnamon muffin was quite dry. The service was a bit dry, we didn’t feel really welcome.

Disappointing Experience Dropped in on a Sunday afternoon after a light bite and a drink. We walked 15 mins for the 4.6 rating. Unfortunately, the visit didn’t live up to expectations. They had already run out of their “all day” cheese toasties—hard to understand how you run out of bread and cheese. The chai was poorly prepared, with unfiltered spices floating throughout. It was almost undrinkable without constantly spitting out bits. We had to follow up on our pastry order, as the server had forgotten it—despite ours being the only order he was handling at the time. There was only one other person in the cafe who was there before us... so it's not like they were distracted with other orders. When the pastries finally arrived, the pistachio croissant was stale and oddly gelatinous.

Stopped by this afternoon with my family and had a really lovely visit. The barista was extremely nice and welcoming—he even offered our dog a treat, which was such a thoughtful touch. The coffee was amazing, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. We’ll be coming back for sure!

Quite a nice atmosphere, coffee tasted like it came from a machine and was burnt... Pistachio croissant tasted like the day before, cream had little pistachio flavor. Thanks, but no thanks.

Cute place and the matcha was just okay, maybe a bit too milky. Flavor was lacking. Pastry selection isn’t anything special and it’s obvious everything is delivered frozen. Store employee sitting outside and took a while to attend to us and when she did she looked like we were bothering her. Won’t be returning

I tryed a cappucino with oatmeal. Don't like a quality and taste was quite flat, i didn't feel aftertaste or acidity. My personal opinion that coffee there is quite basic not a "real" specialty place. Also i was suprised that barista didn't know which beans she was using.

Refreshing to find a quieter coffee shop in the busy Pijp. Nice interior and friendly staff. Great coffee if you want the beans a little more 'fruity' in taste. The (quite pricey) cakes were a bit on the dry side, but the taste made up for that. -update: a year later we tried the cinnamon bun and it tasted fantastic. The bun is warmed up briefly and the cream cheese icing goes very well with the creamy dough. The panini are also tasty.

Also had the sticky bun, lemon poppy cake and croissant but ate them so quickly! Highly recommend!!

The place is very nice and welcoming as the staff also is very kind. I went there to take two croissant for takeaway which i paid 12 euros, very very overpriced for the product it was. I don’t think I ever paid so much for something like that.

A beautifully decorated café, with a calm atmosphere and a very nice barista on site. There are large latte macchiatos, which I didn't expect - so great. You can usually get much smaller ones in cafes. There is also free water, non-dairy milk and the toilet is period friendly. All in all a nice experience.

This was a wonderful breakfast stop during a very busy holiday. It was hard to decide which piece of baking to dive into, but both my partner and I were very pleased with our choices. The coffee was excellent, and led to a second. I was captivated by the calm efficiency of the young woman who was working that Sunday morning, and she had a smile for every customer who came in. I had to tell her that this was the most relaxed I'd been in the last three weeks, and I could just sit there all day! However there were museums, markets and a city to explore. If ever back in Amsterdam, I'd seek out this little oasis. Thank you.

Just good coffee ☕️ - maybe the best cup of chino in De Pijp 😉🧡. But there's also range of teas, macha's, sticky chai, U name it, etc... with milk from oats, soya beans, almonds enz., as well as from cows. Relaxed, efficient personal service. Great little coffee place becoming increasingly popular with laptop jockeys (& has Super-fast Wifi 🤩), with miscellaneous locals (+ their dogs, & doggie-treats behind the counter 🐶), and it's a magnet for expats😬. Nice one. 👍🏻

We had flat white for take away, but it didn’t taste good. We also tried chocolate bun and chocolate croissant, but it was dry. The service wasn’t friendly either :(

i used to come to this cafe often before it was renovated and staff was changed. now the experience is different from time to time depending on the barista. one does really great coffee and nice in communication and not the other - coffee is just impossible to drink (too bitter and also recently he was rude in communication.

Ordered flat white, seems like the shots were under extracted, milk foam was all bubbly not smooth at all. Matcha latte, no matcha taste plus milk was just barely warm. Lemon poppy cake has bland taste and dry. A bit disappointing, plus the cafe wasn't busy at all, and there were two staff there not cleaning table.

Decent coffee, don’t really think the place has a cosy or welcoming atmosphere and when I was there the barista was not very friendly. Also seemed a bit annoyed I was there with my laptop on a Thursday morning even though I had two drinks and wasn’t just there to mooch on the wi-if.

Today I worked for the first time in this cafe that I encountered on the way to the OBA. Super nice service, relaxing setting and nice, neat guys who work there! Update: resolved to your satisfaction. I was always a fan, but today I got a cinnamon roll and it wasn't fresh. €5.50 for some water, flour, butter and sugar is a bit crazy anyway, but if it's old (freezer?), then I just don't think it's okay.
