A nice place with delicious Indonesian food, halal and super tasty too, authentic Indonesian food, super friendly owner, nice and accommodating. Saw the advertisements on Instagram and thought I have to try this. It was definitely worth it, ordered a 50 euro rijsttafel for 2 people and couldn't finish it, but was allowed to take the leftovers home. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back.

Lovely lady at the place. Unfortunately, I really didn't like the food. I missed the spicy flavor of Asian food. It was actually just hot. So, a different experience than the writers of the other reviews.

Vegan food here is absolutely incredible. The spicy tempeh was delicious and the green beans cooked perfectly with crunch!

We ordered our food and while sitting down, one of the ladies working there came in from the street, removed her coat and started handling food without washing her hands. When she touched the noodles with her hands while preparing the soup bowl we got up, paid and left. The food did not look fresh. Very disappointing!

Lontong sayur was fine, but I can’t say the same for the bakso - I ordered takeaway through thuisbezorgd - because the noodle and soup were mixed in one container, by the time the food reached me, the noodle was really soggy and swollen, and there’s barely any soup left from the bakso, furthermore the taste was underwhelming.

I've found a little gem in Haarlem—Little Jakarta is exactly the cozy spot I've been craving. I actually went twice in one week because their food tastes so much better than other Indonesian places around here. It's that warm, comforting flavor that keeps pulling me back. The noodles were a pleasant surprise— simple but full of character, and definitely deserving of a thumbs up. Bakwan Malang hit the spot for a snack; it's not mind-blowing but absolutely good enough to satisfy my cravings. Cireng felt like a little piece of home-crispy on the outside, soft and familiar on the inside. Gado-gado was decent, though l'd love to see slightly fresher or more varied ingredients next time to make it perfect. The team is friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience relaxing. Great service and an easygoing vibe-highly recommend for anyone wanting honest Indonesian food in Haarlem.

This is one of my favorite Indonesian restaurant in Haarlem, it’s also the closest to my house. I usually bought Nasi Kapau to take away and eat it at home. The food still hot, I like the sambal, telur balado, the meats and all the things in there. Heel lekker!

Had it delivered, the delivery person arrived exactly on time. Hats off! - Emping (peeled nutty seeds from the melindjoe tree), cassava crackers, mie bakso (enak sekali!), soto ayam (chicken), kue lapis, and spekkoek! Nothing beats Indonesian/Indian cuisine! 😋

Was looking forward to eat here, but we left very disappointed, and my wife even got diarrea. - Found a hair in the cendol. - Bakso was doubtful if cooked enough. - Bami seemed boiled noodles and then placed in bowl, rather than pan/stir fried. - Overpriced..? €39 for 2 small portions and drinks It’s too bad, because menu looks promising.

G E W E L D I G!!!!!!!!!!! So tasty!!!! We "discovered" Little Jakarta during the last Christmas market and have eaten there a number of times. Definitely worth walking around for. The ladies behind the counter are super nice and willing to give you advice and if you are still unsure about a particular dish, you can taste it to put together a good plate. My advice: L A N G S G A A N!!!!!

Delicious food. A rice table for eight people. One of our guests has to eat gluten-free and Little Jakarta had marked all dishes that contain gluten. Ordered in advance and it was ready on time. Everything was well packaged.

Today I got a chicken curry sandwich for 6 euros. It was really impossible. Took 1 bite then immediately threw it away. The baguette was not baked properly, looked like baked bread from the supermarket. Chicken curry was still cold and too much sweet and sour on the bun. I'm in the kitchen myself, so I know how to make a good sandwich, but this isn't it.

I like to have some Indonesian food when I visit Haarlem.

It attracted me to try a sandwich here. Unfortunately first and last time. Very small sandwiches, you can get there in 2/3 bites and the price is not worth it. In addition, the sandwiches were old/chewy. Eaten on the spot. When paying, there was no interest from staff as to whether it had tasted good and no need to worry about half the sandwich that was still there.

The menu of Little Jakarta has quite a few options that you don't find in every toko. That is one BIG plus for me. Authenticity of the food is good, not excellent so therefore the 4* of the food. However, if you are already there but you check out the reviews because you are not sure, just give it a try. You won't be disapointed.

Had a fantastic lunch here. Just love the fact it’s all so home made and authentic. Delicious flavours, reminded me of when I lived in Malaysia. It’s no frills, high quality food at a fair price. Love it!

Laksa was lekker en vers maar andere stijl dan eet in bijvoorbeeld Singapore. Dunner mer weinig kokos en chili. Ga andere gerechten ook proberen !

Op zich een goed klein eet restaurant met goede authentieke smaken uit de indonesische keuken moet wel helaas lang wachten o je eten .

Gelunchd bij Little Jakarta. Gezellige sfeer, schone ruimte. Best veel keuze. Vriendelijke medewerker. Wij hebben lontong sayur en soto betawi besteld, allebei was lekker.

3x geweest uit nieuwsgierigheid. Helaas, gisteren 5 mei voor de laatste keer. Gegeten ( mie ayam, bakso bakwan en cendol ). Duur voor zo een klein portie mie ayam ( 15,50 €) met 2 bakso, dawet ook niet lekker, smaak naar vette santan. Teleurstelling, prijzig, geen kwaliteit. Nooit meer!

The food is very very nice and the price is reasonable. Though the service attitude was not quite friendly, I came here to eat, so it's not too important to me. I will keep coming back! :)

Hier wil ik elke dag eten. Even weg uit de drukte van de stad stap je "Littke Djakarta" binnen en je bent weer senang sekali. Het eten is heerlijk en enak. Een aanrader en super lief en attent personeel.

Gezellig restaurant waar je ongedwongen heerlijk Indonesisch kunt eten. Ook meenemen is mogelijk.

Hier een lekkere lunch gehad met oa Rendang, rijst. Heerlijke Indonesische gerechtjes waar ik van hou. De specifieke kruiden en bereiding zorgden voor een heerlijke en betaalbare lunch!

Vandaag voor de 1e x geweest, had het nog nooit gezien dus even testen. We hadden een menutje van €16,50 mee naar huis genomen. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, ik ben bang dat het een blijvertje is.

Tasty foods.Been here many times. My favorites are Soto betawi,nasi uduk, bubur ayam, bakso malang & es cendol. Echt lekker.

Voor een helle groep eten besteld. Allemaal heerlijk. Ik schrijf nooit een review maar voor Little Jakarta maak ik een uitzondering: meer mensen moeten hiervan genieten!!

Whilst visiting Haarlem from the UK we stumbled across this little gem. It is fairly basic inside, but clean and tidy and the staff were super friendly and assisted in helping us choose from the menu. Service was good and prompt. Food was simple and served in one bowl, but really tasty, well presented and we were not disappointed. Menu available in English which really helped and we had the chicken Char Siu and Chicken satay with peanut sauce and a first with "rice cubes", all delicious. If we lived in Haarlem, this would become a regular haunt. If you want an authentic, basic, good value restaurant with good tasty food .....walk this way !!

Ik heb hier nu een aantal keer gegeten en ook echt heerlijk gegeten. Dit is echt zo'n restaurant waarvoor je speciaal die kant op gaat als je niet in de buurt woont zoals ik.

Nice, tasty comfort food. Bakso Soup is flavorful, I wished there were more noodles than beansprouts :D Chendol tastes rich and so refreshing.

Op aanraden van onze Indonesische schoondochter een menu gehaald. Het was heerlijk! Zit nu uit te buiken op de bank. Een aanrader als je van echt Indonesisch eten houdt.

Super lekker en vers eten, met liefde gemaakt. Leuke kaart met veel variatie en niet alleen de standaard Indonesische gerechten. Bediening super vriendelijk, kortom een absolute aanrader!
