Great food. Local friends took us there last night and we returned for lunch today. My Singaporean wife really like it.

We were almost dreading our quest for a proper lunch and we had almost settled for one of the never-ending bread roll variations offered inside the international borders. Fortunately and by sheer luck we came across this establishment and we were absolutely delighted. Delicious food served on real plates for lunch! What a treat.

Delicious authentic Indonesian food.

Discovered by chance, this little restaurant is definitely worth a visit! They offer different set menus so you can customize your plate. Everything we ordered was delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable. Highly recommended!

Good and hearty meal at a good price. I chose a huge plate of noodles with beef and meatballs (and hard-boiled egg) and I was very satisfied. In fact, it is the best tiberi I have had in this sad gastronomic circle that is Holland, big point for that. Warning, they do not serve beer.

Told me the box was 7 euros but charged me 10 euros

This place really brings you back to indonesia, the warung decor, tiny window seats, exotic drinks choices, feels just like home. Really tasty food with LOTS of choices, warm friendly service from the owner, also providing krupuk on table. The freshly squeezed orange juice - not usually offered at other take away place - is greatly appreciated. Amazing little place. Will be back.

I went here and asked which dishes were vegan. The server didn't seem to understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian and asked the chef to come out. I asked her for any vegetarian dishes without egg and dairy and she told me that they all had either shrimp paste or fish sauce in them. I told her that vegetarians also don't eat fish products. My final question was: "So you don't have anything vegetarian either?" and she replied "No" despite clearly offering vegetarian options on the menu and presumably serving animal products to vegetarians and vegans for years now. Even if she truly didn't understand that fish products aren't vegetarian, as an owner of a business that serves food, it is her responsibility to find out. There are people with fish and seafood allergies that could be affected too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Warung Pojok Sari was one of the best Indonesian restaurants we visited during our trip. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and cooked to perfection. Every dish was so tasty that we kept wanting more! The spices were rich and balanced, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. It truly brought back the taste of authentic Indonesian cuisine. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Delicious authentic Indonesian food!

After a long time, we visited Warung Pojok Sari in Haarlem again. The experience was generally positive, but not without a few caveats. Let's start with the food. We ordered two rolls and two pastries. The rolls were truly excellent. Well-filled, full of flavor, and the combination with the delicious fried onions and fresh herbs made them particularly special. Those extras ensure that authentic Indonesian experience and give the rolls exactly the right balance between savory, fresh, and spicy. You can taste that attention has been paid to this. Unfortunately, the pastries were slightly less convincing. The filling was fine, but they struck me as a bit dry and lacked just that little bit of extra flavor that would really get you excited. Not bad, but compared to the quality of the rolls, they paled somewhat. What is worth noting, however, are the prices. For two rolls and two pastries, we spent well over twenty euros. Given the quality of the rolls, I understand that good ingredients cost money, but the total amount still felt on the steep side for a relatively simple lunch. The place itself has a pleasant, authentic feel. No trendy gimmicks or overly modern concept, just a place where the focus is clearly on the food. That has its charm too. The staff was friendly and the service was efficient. Pros: Fantastic sandwiches with lots of flavor Delicious fried onions and fresh herbs Authentic Indonesian atmosphere Friendly service Good quality ingredients Cons: Pastries were a bit dry Pastries could have had a bit more flavor Price level is quite high for a quick lunch Conclusion: Warung Pojok Sari remains a place to go for delicious Indonesian sandwiches. The combination of fresh herbs, fried onions, and well-prepared fillings is particularly impressive. The pastries were less successful for me and the prices are steep, but the quality of the sandwiches ensures that I would gladly return again. Worth a solid 4 stars.

Indonesian food store with a very fine flavor. The counter is varied and well-stocked. The staff is young and pleasant. Everything looks clean. This also applies to the few dining tables that have been added. We had a delicious meal with my husband after a day trip to Haarlem.

Came here to try as there were many good reviews and I wanted to see for my self. I am glad for those customers who enjoyed their food. SERVICE-5/5 staff were friendly,smiling and accommodating ATMOSPHERE- 4/5 local Indonesian Warung vibes as I have been to Indonesia a lot. Toilet was also very clean and dry. FOOD- It is probably the SWEETEST Indonesian dish I have ever tasted despite travelling to Indonesia many times. Perhaps this is how Dutch people like it, so they have to adapt to local taste. But I would personally say it is far from real Indonesian taste. All I can taste was sweetness, from the roti to the potatoes to the green beans and to the ayam kare. not to mention that even their kerupuk (crackers on the table) is sweet too!! I added lots of sambal from the table, but sweetness still prevailed and over powering😰😭 Overall, I am happy for the restaurant owners that locals and other tourist appreciate their dishes.

Portions are extremely small. Soto soup is a real disgrace—no flavor, too many vegetables, no chicken, and the amount fits in a thimble. I also had a spring roll there. It wasn't hot enough; the taste was good. Overall: not recommended!

I'm a fan of Indonesian food and this warung. What you taste is the best of the island, but especially of the family. Grandma and Mom are often sources of inspiration, and that's what you taste here.

Best beef rendang I’ve ever had!!! You can pick how many meats and veggies you want, and they charge you based on that. Nice cozy place that’s no fuss to get a nice lunch or dinner. Also free shrimp chips at the table!

Excellent food, my first time here. Generous portions. We ate inside, it was pleasantly crowded, and we took a seat wherever there was a place, and the service was friendly.

Dear lady who helped me, The food was delicious, especially for a Sunday 😄, but I unfortunately found the portion a bit small for the price. I got about eight pieces of potato (about one small potato, chopped) and six pieces of chicken. For €13, I think that's quite small. The potatoes were gone quickly, while there was still a lot of long beans left. I'll mention this next time, because I noticed this happens at several Asian supermarkets. Perhaps it would be an idea to make the dish a bit more expensive, but with a slightly fuller container that really fills you up. Personally, I'd prefer that to a half-full portion for €13. The portion isn't enough for two people.

Nice, cozy takeaway with a seating area. Friendly staff, very wide selection of food. Everything looked delicious. Meat, fish, shrimp, vegetables, tofu, tempeh, snacks. From sweet, mildly spicy to spicy. Something for everyone. Reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

Delicious, authentic food with a great atmosphere in the shop and service. The warung is small, and it gets very busy with takeout orders during rainy mealtimes. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but manageable. I'll definitely be back.

I doubt the freshness. It didn't taste very good, in my opinion. Just to be safe, I left it. The people were nice, though.

I love this warung's atmosphere. You shouldn't go here if you're looking for a fancy or sophisticated meal, but if you love authentic Javanese flavors, you absolutely must go. Fresh every day! You can eat in or take it home. The drinks cabinet is also stocked with delicious drinks, like the famous "teh botol."

If you're in the area, you gotta eat here! Such a delectable variety of Indonesian dishes! The "general" and roti meals were fantastic! Such a depth of flavour and perfect combo of spices, in various sweet and savoury marinades! Fun selection of Indonesian (and other) cold drinks! I had the ginger beer! Met the Dutch-Indonesian owner who shared how he learned the recipes by helping his grandparents run the place while growing up, and how he took over the place upon their request. No wonder it tastes so authentic! Several decades of food and love poured into this place!

The people are very friendly and the food is delicious, you can tell it's homemade 🥰🙌

When the younger ladies are working the service is poor

Very good food, stopped by on my way to the station, ordered a sandwich to go, the one with spicy meat, it was delicious. Prices are very convenient and the sandwich wasn´t small at all, it was 7 euros. The place is nice but simple, you can eat there, or order take away, great option.

Very authentic with very good prices

This is a small place with no frills... We were rushing to a museum and trying to see 2museums close to each other before they closed at 17.00. Hubby was hungry, it was 13.30 & as we walked past I realised I'd never tried Indonesian food before and I love trying the cuisine of different countries. We opted for rice with vegetable side dishes as I'm a vegetarian and after my first bite I was in awe of the wonderful flavours!! Amazing food and we were served by a lovely young man who was managing the till and other orders at the same time. Took time to explain what was in each dish. Even hubby who had meat dishes and some veg said it was the best indonesian food he'd tasted outside of Indonesia, which is very high praise coming from him. We were so blown away, we got a take away for later and regretted the fact that we couldn't go back here because we were only in Haarlem for the day! Deceptively simple looking food, I tried to recreate one of the dishes with a recipe off Google, it was just not the same!

Just ordered food for my colleague I often get something to eat here for my colleague every time I get the same a bami with sweet beef, satay (without sticks), balls and a sambal egg. The prices vary each time I come usually between 12 and 13 euros. Today I order the same again now only without a sambal egg. I had to pay a total of 18.43 euros I say to the lady behind the counter that I never spend more than 13 euros I get an argument that I could not even understand because of the crowd. I pay with disappointment my colleague looks at the food that I ordered and sees that it is not what was ordered, my colleague walks back to the Warung pojak sari and is told there that she did it right and that I am a liar while my colleague herself was there that I called and I ordered it right bad business this

this by far has been the best Nasi Padang/ indo food I have had in Europe. feels like I have been transported to the other side of the world! i totally recommend this rendang was soft and tender, not hard at all! rice was fluffy and sambal chilli hit the right spot (tho it is a little sweeter, it was definitely flavourful)

I don't recognize myself at all in a single negative review. This is really the best Indian store I know. I've been coming here for 20 years, delicious Indian food just like grandma made it.

Super geweldige zaak het personeel is heel klantvriendelijk en klantgericht, verder smaakt het eten ook altijd goed zou het aanbevelen.

Wat is het eten erg veranderd sinds de overname maar dat is niet zo erg aangezien iedereen een eigen hand heeft. Wat ik wel erg vond is dat de nasi/bruine rijst nog hard was en het eten zuur rook waarschijnlijk door de gehaktballetjes/rundvlballetjes. Het product is niet meer goed en dient verkocht te worden aan andere mensen. Helaas zijn ze telefonisch niet bereikbaar vandaar deze review. Het telefoonnummer van pojok sari staat overal maar wordt niet meer gebruikt.

Na een dagje Haarlem met de trein dachten wij ( mijn vrouw en ik ), laten wij op de terugweg naar het station, gezien de beoordelingen, bij Warung Pojok Sari wat gaan eten. Wij kozen voor de Roti kip. Wij kregen een plastic bordje geserveerd met wat stukjes kip in kerriesaus, wat boontjes ( denk kouseband) en een schep oude bijzonder droge gekookte stukjes aardappel en een gekookt ei dat n.m.m. al dagen in de koeling lag. Met veel te weinig eten voor het geld. Het geheel was een erg droge hap. Als eigenaar van deze toko zou ik mij schamen om zoiets te serveren. Wij wonen in de regio Den Haag en ik zou tegen de eigenaar willen zeggen. Ga eens Roti kip bestellen en eten bij Roti Palace Den Haag of bij Ruby in Dordrecht. Dan eet je pas Roti kip. Dit was één keer en nooit meer. Opwarmen in de magnetron wordt niet afgedekt met folie en daardoor wel warm maar uitgedroogd. De folie houdt n.l. het vocht in het gerecht. Doe er wat mee.

Food was spoiled, probably the meatballs/beef meatballs. The nasi goreng was also much too hard to eat. Because the food smelled and tasted sour, 3 quarters of the dish was not eaten. Since the takeover, the dishes have unfortunately deteriorated. I can also reach Pojok Sari by phone, unfortunately the number has been taken off the air.

Food poisoned here. A particular staff member was rude to us as well. Nothing special.

Delicious Indonesian food! I came two days in a row when I stayed in Haarlem. In my opinion it’s difficult to find good Indonesian food in the greater Amsterdam area, this place is a gem! I had the vegetarian plate and the vegetarian Roti. Both very delicious! The owner seems to be a younger guy, very welcoming! The place has various pictures and memorabilia from Indonesia. It looks (and surely is) a authentic place. With around 11-12€, the price is also very fair. Can recommend!

Very bad…. Reheated junk . Bad taste, possibly spoiled... never again. Don't understand the good reviews. I always love Indonesian food, but this place doesn't understand it at all! And then also a thumb in the plate when bragging! Then “chef Mic” heats it up, terribly

On 04/12/2024 I picked up a Rames Complete meal on the way home. When we arrived home, we were pleasantly surprised with the first bite: super delicious! Absolutely recommended. Unfortunately I don't live nearby :-(

Really good Indonesian restaurant in Haarlem! As a born and raised Indonesian currently residing in the NL, I can safely confirm that the food in warung pojok sari is pretty authentic! The prices are also very pocket friendly, and the people working there are all very warm and friendly (and some are Indonesians too, which definitely increases the feeling of being 'home' when eating here).

Delicious wide choice of different Indian dishes (Javanese). Vegetarian, fish and meat. You can pick up food or eat there. 5 minutes from Haarlem Central Station. Affordable prices. The food was fantastic, highly recommended.
