Toko Nur in Oude Stad

Incredible gem of a restaurant in the heart of Harleem. The food is succulent and vibrant, it doesn’t get any more genuine than this. The service is outstanding too. Greetings from The Basque Country.

Delicious Indonesian food! So many healthy vegetarian options and clearly shown in the menu. Tempeh was my favourite. The staff was very friendly and took time to patiently explain all the options and made recommendations as well. Very good portion sizes for the price. A good balance of vegetables, protein and rice. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try out something different :)

The food was solid (7/10-quality, maybe higher). But the fundamental duty of a restaurant is to cook its food to order—otherwise, why not just go to a grocery store? Therein lies the problem: Toko Nur serves its food (for walk-in orders, at least) cold and premade—you have to take it home and reheat it yourself. If I have to cook anyway, why would I ever order from a restaurant? I could save money—and get a better meal!—with only marginally more time spent. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that their food is standard, uncreative Indonesian/Asian fare; the vast majority of the menu is very simple to make for those who have cooking experience and access to a grocery store.

We had such a delicious rijsttafel on Thursday night, each dish with its own distinct flavor, a true delight for the taste buds. And for dessert, the spekkoek: it melted in my mouth; I couldn't put it down. Our daughter picked up the food and received very friendly help and advice on her choice, despite it being a busy time. Thank you, dear people!

Absolutely loved this Indonesian restaurant! The flavors were rich, authentic, and incredibly satisfying. As a vegetarian, I was so impressed by the wide variety of plant-based options — from tempeh dishes to veggie curries, everything was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. A true gem for anyone who loves bold, vibrant food — especially vegetarians!

Best indonesian food ive ever tasted. I would recommend it. People are amazing and so sweet. They made me feel welcome and safe. Good food even better people.

Every thing I tried here was excellent. Coconut beef, spicy chicken, tofu, and more. We got the green sponge cake dessert - excellence. There is not much room to sit, but, all that matters is the food.

Good choice! Delicious flavors, plenty of choice, large portions and fair prices. Friendly people. We have been here a number of times now and have been completely satisfied every time.

Excellent food and what deserves 5 stars for me is that with my bami rames last afternoon, a separate spoon was used for each side dish. Not seen anywhere yet.

As far as I'm concerned, it's the best shop in the center of Haarlem! The food is delicious and the service is always very friendly and quick.

Excellent shop in the heart of Haarlem with many dishes that you also see at other shops, but with a Sumatran slant. Very tasty, large portions and friendly service. Mainly intended for takeaway, but if you can no longer postpone your cravings, you can also have a drink on the spot at the one table by the window. Enjoy a lychee drink and go!

Heerlijke toko, kom er graag. Alleen stond ik zondag 24 september voor de deur om 13.30 en jullie waren dicht terwijl je zegt om 13.00 te openen.

Ik heb een heel aantal Toko's in Haarlem geprobeerd, ik vind dit veruit de lekkerste. Vooral de pittige kip met de heerlijke smaak van citroengras is het omfietsen meer dan waard!

Catering voor 30 man geregeld via toko Nur. Ze kwamen op tijd, het eten was heerlijk! Iedereen heeft ervan genoten! De prijs (optie 2 vlees 2 groentes) was incl pittig ei per persoon, krupuk en atjar en de shaving dishes. Ook ophalen van de shaving dishes ging soepel. Aanrader dus!

1 van de beste toko’s in Haarlem. Misschien wel in Nederland. Je krijgt hier tenminste een goede portie groente bij je rijst en het is lekker op smaak. Betaalbaar en makkelijk.

Eigenlijk is het alleen afhalen het eten. Maar mijn moeder was moeilijk ter been. Weinig parkeerplaatsen, moet lopen naar de toko. Gelukkig konden we daar gaan zitten om te eten.

Indonesian food at a reasonable price. There is no English menu, it's quite hard and stressful having to order the food right away in front of the counter. Some foods are not displayed at the counter.

Heerlijke toko.met prachtige serviezen, prima boodschappen, leuke kaarten. Ook heerlijke afhaal en bezorg maaltijden. Super vriendelijke mensen! Ik kom hier heel graag. Ga altijd met zalige dingen en een gelukkig gevoel de winkel uit.
