Little Saigon Restaurant in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

It was okay, I guess. It's been a long time since I've had pho. The restaurant is quite clean and has a variety of dishes, but it can't compare to or even be compared to a pho restaurant in Europe that cooks as well as the one back home.

As a regular customer i got the lemongrass chicken for take out. But now the bread was soft and very dry. Not tasteful. I asked about it, they said we have new fresh bread. Response was that they could warm again(microwave) no thanks The worst was the “i really dont care attitude)

Nice small Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food and fast service.

Although I am not a big fan of Vietnamese food, I was positively impressed by this restaurant. The food was nice and quickly prepared. Themed music contributed even more to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the restaurant is small and has not that many of seats. Recommended.

I came to the restaurant now and apparently they have a break until 17:00. It’s okay that they have a break but where does it say on Google maps? The waiter was also on his phone while talking to me which is not a good level of hospitality.

It was a bit crowded, but their special pho was excellent. If you order pho, add basil; it makes it even better.

My mother and I went while we were traveling in Amsterdam. The spring rolls were good, but we didn't like the rice at all. We ordered a hot pot-type soup that was very average.

Pho no is flavourful but somehow they undercooked the rice noodles which is hard to achieve, can’t get more than 3/5 for that reason

Bahn mi and pho with pork belly: sounds normal at first, but tastes heavenly. The cooks in this little restaurant know how to create such masterpieces with a taste that seemed like heaven had just opened its gates for me. In fact, I’m recommending this from above the clouds 😘👍🏼.

A fav of locals. Breads are pretty good. For banh mi’s Shrimp is bland, go for chicken or pork.

Bún Nem Nướng is surprisingly good. The portion was Big and a lot of Meat and the best part is the fish sauce which was really well-made!

The bánh mì bread wasn’t fresh at all, which was a big downside. They only accept cash, too. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We have been here three times!!!! The serving sizes here are HUGEEEE which I love! The only thing id say is that the meat is a little bit on the dryer side the amount of food you get and flavour makes up for it!!!! first time we came we ordered the pork and rice and the bun thit nuong with summer rolls but it was waaaayy to much food so the second time we didnt order the summer rolls but lowkey I still couldn’t finish it!!! Will definitely be coming again when im in Amsterdam for the next festival 😈

We were one of the first customers of the day and the food definitely did not seem fresh. My friends had "bun bo hue" and they said the meat tasted old and smelly.They would not let us split check either; one check per table. I don't recommend their 3 color dessert either, taste nothing like the ones I had before.

As a Vietnamese tourist, I thoroughly enjoyed the grilled pork rice, finding it authentically Saigon-style, despite a slight resemblance to Vietnamese braised pork. The rice was flavorful, and the generous portion of meat was exceptionally satisfying.The strawberry iced tea is yummy. Cảm ơn. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Taiwanese people, please don't come here!!! The soup for the rice noodles is practically instant noodle soup, and it's awful! 😍 The lemongrass tea is just Nestlé lemon tea! And it costs 5 euros! 😇

We stopped here by chance and was really blown away by how they cooked their meat. It's all really tender and soft. We got the pork, pho and a beef dish. The price is reasonable and the quality of food is delicious.

We ordered Beef Pho and Roast duck with rice. The Pho was medioca and the roast duck was microwave heated with sweet watery sauce . Not enjoyed at all.

I visited this restaurant twice. The first time I had phở gà and it was very tasty, no cons. The second time I had bún and it had a sour smell and taste. The noodles themselves were a bit hard. I think they were old noodles. I don't recommend it; there are other restaurants nearby. The waitress was nice.

Small Vietnamese restaurant in the city center. I went here for Pho bo. The food was delivered quickly, the meat was of good quality, the broth I've had tastier. It was missing coriander and more green side dishes. Overall the food was okay, it was good after a full-day marathon around Amsterdam. Ordered Bahn mi beef. It just wasn't tasty, and because of that, the price-quality ratio is really not great... the bun was veeeery dry and stale, the meat dry, a bit soggy too, and not well-seasoned, the vegetables were okay I guess, but totally not worth the €8. There isn't really any atmosphere, so yeah, this was a one-time thing and never again. Unless they do something with this review (and especially the food), of course...

The worst spicy Hue noodle in life I have ever tasted ! Skip this by all mean its not even Vietnamese noodle

i was really looking forward to having spicy noodle soup, so i ordered the bun bo hue (my go-to at viet restaurants). unfortunately there was NO SPICE IN THE SOUP AT ALL. i thought i had accidentally ordered a normal pho but nope, this is their “bun bo hue”. incredibly bland. very embarrassing to serve this as if it’s bun bo hue. additionally, to get tap water, you are required to order a drink (€3-5). then, the water they give you is in the smallest cup ever. i’m sure there are better vietnamese restaurants in amsterdam. the worst “bun bo hue” i’ve ever had.

5/5 PRICE/QUALITY The chicken curry sandwich was delicious for 7 euros. And a small beer was 3.5 euros. I also tried a rice dish with pork and chicken, which was also good. What I didn't like was that we ordered water and they brought a 200ml bottle for 3 euros. The place itself was pretty average, but it was worth it.

We were at Little Saigon ten years ago and went back again today – and it was just as perfect as before. We both had the Pho Bo, as well as summer rolls and Vietnamese spring rolls as appetizers. Everything was delicious and arrived incredibly quickly. You order via QR code, so there's minimal interaction with the staff, and the atmosphere is rather simple. Perfect if you like Vietnamese food and don't want to wait long. We'll definitely be back.

It didn't taste fresh; the bowl of herbs and bean sprouts for the pho soup didn't look fresh. The fried shrimp and spring rolls tasted like old frying grease. Not recommended.

Embarrassingly weak Soggy vegetables over all below average it seems their greed to make money and deliver food that is below quality is luck by the fouls that believe this is ok if you have average standards you won’t be happy if you wish for good food don’t do it

My favorite place to eat pho!! 😋😋 I always order the pho with beef meatballs, the chicken and shrimp spring rolls with lemongrass iced tea. It's so delicious, and the broth is truly flavorful. I come here often, and it's a 10/10 every time. The staff is also very friendly :))

Hủ tiếu can be served dry or with broth. Here, there is only a QR code menu to order and a note section. We clearly wrote in Vietnamese that we wanted dry hủ tiếu, but the staff brought hủ tiếu with broth. The waitress said that no one here, including in the kitchen, is Vietnamese, so they don’t understand what is written in the notes, also in the menu. If so, why didn’t she come and ask us in English what we meant? And why does the restaurant write “khô” or “nước” in Vietnamese on the menu if no one understands Vietnamese? Hủ tiếu should use thin rice noodles, but they served it with thick pho noodles instead. We also ordered bún bò Huế, but they added char siu pork to it. No one does that. The char siu pork and the pork sausage had a strange smell. Can not finish the bowl. The broth also did not have the correct, authentic flavor The waitress was cold and unwelcoming. She gave us sideways looks, ignored our notes, and didn’t bother to ask what we meant in note part

The Bánh Mí are good, but there are better ones; however, the Phó is not good: the meat is undercooked and tasteless. The service leaves much to be desired.

I ordered Phở gà. The broth and noodles were good. The chicken looked and tasted like processed chicken. It was an odd taste. I would not recommend this dish.

I’ve been here early of 2024 once compared to this time which I have tried to come twice this year end of 2025, I have experienced something has changed. The taste might be the same with the same potion, but the service makes me think it’s not my choice anymore. So sad to say this. Hope it got improved on the service. Smile and politeness would bring more customer this restaurant.

Perhaps it was wrong to order a main dish instead of a Pho, which seemed pretty decent… but we didn’t…beef was a disaster, not chewable, flavours somehow not adjusted.. second dish was consisting of 2! shrimps, 2 big pieces of tofu and few pieces of chicken on a pile of stir fried vermicelli with absolutely no flavour…

I'm a loyal customer because the food here is amazing no matter what you order! Friendly staff will always help you with whatever you need. I recommend the banh mi and goi cuon, and anything from their selection of homemade drinks.

Really good food and nice and quick service. We came at 5pm and didn't have to wait at all for our food. With two people we ordered spring rolls in veggie, Tofu with vegetables and vegan pho. Everything was really delicious, especially the pho!

Ordered the spicy pho( bun bo hue). A bit on the salty side and usually have shrimp taste but not for this case. Not authentic bun bo hue. More like pho with chilli. Price is reasonable. May come come back for other food to see whether is authentic or not.

Great place for some wholesome, flavorful south-east asian food. Loved the food especially the vermicelli noodles and Vietnamese iced coffee! A memorable way to mark your Amsterdam trip :) Good service was a lovely bonus.

We had two bowls of pho, which was delicious. The vegetables were decent, but they could have been a little more! We were both tired and groggy, but after eating the noodles, we felt completely refreshed. It tasted great! I highly recommend the raw beef pho, the beef is fragrant, and the broth is rich. :)

Ah, the joys of being famished in Amsterdam. After wandering this street of Asian restaurants—each packed to the brim with hungry diners—I thought I had struck gold when I spotted Little Saigon, the one place with open tables. A clear sign, I assumed, that fate had chosen me. Spoiler: fate clearly had other plans. With a respectable 4-star rating, I figured it couldn’t be that bad. I stepped in, noticed that practically everyone was slurping beef pho like it was the elixir of life, but of course I decided to be clever and order fried rice instead. Big mistake. Huge. The fried rice arrived, looking decent enough, but one bite told me all I needed to know: sticky, bland, and tragically uninspired. Let’s just say this rice was not auditioning for MasterChef anytime soon. As someone who has grown up eating rice (the right kind of rice), I can safely say this was the wrong grain for the job. I ended up begging for soy sauce and chili just to convince my taste buds they hadn’t died in vain. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine? Well, if authenticity tastes like disappointment, then sure. I can’t speak for the pho—it might well be the restaurant’s redemption arc—but that fried rice was a culinary plot twist I did not sign up for. Would I come back? Let’s just say hunger made me finish the plate, but curiosity will not bring me through these doors again. Unless, of course, I want another lesson in why sometimes following the crowd isn’t such a bad idea.

The place is over crowded, you might need to wait at least 30 mins to get table at dinner time. Table is very close to each other, the food is not authentic as per Vietnamese, we ordered Bun Bo Hue and it was quite disappointing, the taste is completely different, felt like they use Pho broth and added some spices to make it like Bun Bo. A small and cozy Vietnamese gem in the heart of Amsterdam! The service was quick, and the food absolutely delicious — just like in Vietnam. The pho bo was huge (tip: one portion is easily enough for two!), and they packed it perfectly for takeaway. Great location, too. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!
