Extremely rude staff. (One girl specifically) . We were here at 6pm, I asked for a soup, she said she can't serve me because the table is booked at 7pm, as if 1h isn't enough to eat the soup?

We opened on Saturday afternoon so it was very quiet. The staff are welcoming and friendly. We were served very quickly. The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are well seasoned. The menu is varied and everything tempts you!

Delicious pho. The broth was just as I expected. I suggest getting the small bowl because the large is really huge. We couldn’t finish it.

We recently visited this spot, and while the Vietnamese girl who served us was very friendly and welcoming, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. The bread was nothing special, and we felt it would have been better with homemade pâté instead of the spread that tasted like Unox liver pâté. The bò tái chanh (Vietnamese beef carpaccio) was disappointing. It lacked flavor and had some unexpected ingredients, like chopped lemongrass, which didn’t seem to fit. It also had vinegar onions instead of fresh raw onions, and we missed the usual fresh herbs like cilantro or mint that typically add so much to the dish. The phở was eetbaar but the stew meat we got had a strange texture, which was a bit off-putting. While we appreciated the kind service, the food didn’t quite match our expectations, and we wouldn’t return or recommend it.

Very good seasoning in the Pho I ordered. I accompanied it with a Vietnamese 🍺 beer. Good service price - good quality. Recommended .

Friendly staff and very considerate of my sisters gluten allergy!! Non-gluten and vegetarian options for her were great. My vermicelli salad was a very generous portion for a perfectly reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!

UPDATE: I can’t fully support with only using takeaway/thuisbezorg as a delivery service as they are awful every time I’ve ordered. Why not use Ubereats or another service?? Please fix this. Hu Tieu (with soup or on the side), rice plates, springs rolls, and dessert are delicious! I do think they shouldn’t cut the noodles so short for the Hu Tieu as it makes it difficult to eat. Limited menu but definitely fixes my craving as a Vietnamese American.

Haven’t tried the bahn mi yet, but the pho soups are to die for! Very flavorful and you get a big bowl! Will definitely come back.

Great, but the taste is not the same as the traditional flavor in Vietnam, and I think that's very delicious, the broth is delicious, a small portion of pho here is filling, the toppings are delicious. . Spacious restaurant, enthusiastic staff

Wow. I’m not sure why isn’t this place prebooked months in advance and people are not queuing in front of doors. It has to be only because it’s somehow hidden and not shouting how amazing are they. I can’t explain it why but - I will do this service for them. I do like Thai food and have it several times a week. Now - without any question this is the place with the best Pho I ever had. It’s always good sign they bring you condiments with fresh herbs and lemon, but Thai was topped by pentagram of holy sauces. Show can start. You smell the souce when it’s not even on your table. All the right herbs and strong and bold soup.. ah. My heart is melting. I didn’t even took enough pictures to document it - I just jumped straight to it. I had a massive bad fresh summer rolls with options of three amazing sauces- no pre made staff that is just a starter- proper well made food. Overall I can’t recommend this place enough- I’m sure whene this become more apparent on Google Maps this place will be packed. I hope I will be able to make it here again soon. There are quite a lot of people. The soup of the pho is not hot enough. It should be a hot spot in winter. The shrimp rolls are good and taste good. They suit the appetite of Chinese people.

Food was not good, I got the Chicken Pho and partner got the vegetarian pho. We both didn't like the taste and ended up throwing it up later. It was not a good experience. During our dine in experience, we had to ask the waiter for anything and they didn't bring us water. They did package the food to go for us which was nice but we had to throw it out. It felt like food poisoning.

The food has been really nice here, especially the noodle soups. It's as good as I remember having it in Vietnam! I keep cooking back. The staff are very polite and nice. The drink pricing is extortionate. 4 euros for 200ml of soft drink or 250ml of water.

Dirty things in the kitchen. Boxes everywhere in the restaurant. Old, Thai basil as in rot. Heard a lot of good things about it, but downright bad. The Banh Mi was also very mediocre. Too bad, but never again

Terrible service. I’ve been here multiple times to give them a chance and have failed. One time the waitress was just plain rude. A friend of mine asked nicely a question and the waitress gave a snarky response. No hospitality feeling. At least the food is good but still, if you go out you want the full experience! And then this evening we had to switch from our first table because the guests next to us slurped so loud. I understand it’s normal in the culture especially when eating noodles but when you are sitting super close to another guests it’s just rude. So I asked a team member can I switch to another table. Then we sat and it was all fine. Just until another waitress made us move again. Then I asked for takeaway. We asked how long it will take, 15 mins, I came back. And they said we didn’t make your food because you didn’t pay first. And I also asked for ice coffee and they say we can’t do it. Which they clearly didn’t explain it before I left. Overall the communication needs improvement and staff needs training how to communicate to guests.

We live in the street, come here more often, made a reservation, terrible table 10 cm away of a person that was slurping and burping, we asked for another table, really kind they gave it to us, when we want to order they ask us to move to another table to make place for a larger group….no joke, not even an apology or anything. Then we asked if we can pick up the order, they said 15-20 min, coming back, they didn’t put the order in…. Left hungry and very disappointed

Amazing food, especially the pho and banh mi’s! Can really recommend. Our waiter was friendly, just some of the other staff acted pretty careless for some reason, that’s the only reason for -1 star unfortunately Revisit: Food: Original banh mi as good as it was and can be. The nr 16 (pork sausage) very disappointing on the other hand: lacking filling & flavour, rock solid avocado. Go for the original! Service: friendly, only this time again one of the waitress very arrogant impression unfortunately.

I went for dinner with a friend and even though the place was quite loud, I really enjoyed it. The Staff are very nice and attentive, they are able to recommend things to you based on your preferences. I had a small beef Pho and it was incredibly filling, there was so much meat and noodles I had to eat a bit to fit in my veggies, basil and chilli. You can use the extra spices to get the right flavor. We also had a fresh chicken spring roll to share. It’s really big and comes with 3 sauces. It was a perfect snack for the two of us. Also tried the Vietnamese beer and it was nice. Overall highly recommend, will definitely come back!

Not so good Pho Soup is lacking punch and the meatballs are frozen ones and meat is not cut thin enough that allows it getting cooked in the hot broth soup! Didn’t like it at all :( Summer roll on the other hand was superb!

I think it's quite pricey compared to what you get, 3 stars because I've eaten better Pho elsewhere for the same price with more meat, more noodles, etc. And I think a glass of coconut water for €4.50 is absurdly expensive. Was fine for lunch but won't be back anytime soon because I just know better.

We got in and the moment we walked in we felt really rushed and pushed out. The pho I got was really oily and I did not finish it. After we made a reservation and we’re just chatting after finishing our meal, the waiter came to us 1 hour (!) after our dinner with the bill (we didn’t ask for it) saying: ‘can you pay because we need this table’. I said that the service was really not nice and we felt pushed during the night. There wasn’t even a response. Won’t come back! Except the guy who got us our drinks was really nice and friendly. Nothing bad about him.

Cozy place with attentive staff. Food arrives at the table very quickly. I didn't think they stood out in terms of taste. Vietnamese is often simple, but unfortunately I have had better. Tried their summer rolls with shrimp and bahn mi with spicy pork. They just don't reach four stars in terms of taste. The sandwich could be more filling and summer rolls lacked something. The presentation was great. Also plenty of lettuce and coriander as garnish.

The worst pho I have ever tried. We desired something warm and good because of high recommendation on google but extremely disappointed. Pho is flavorless and too cold. Bad services and uneducated staff. My husband’s Pho was completely raw and bloody even he tried to put it in the broth. We asked them warm it up and make it less bloody but it seemed they just took it into the kitchen and forgot. They only brought it back to our table when I almost finished mine. Besides one of the staffs talked about another customer with bad words (in Vietnamese). No one who are educated and civilized would like to say that word.

If there needs to be a word after "O Mai" then it should be "God" because the food here is just OMG! We ordered the Bún chả with grilled chicken and the portion was HUGE. You could tell the grilled chicken was made to order because it did take a while for it to come out and honestly it was perfection. My husband got a small bowl of Phở and it was just as good. We recommend adding a few drops of their homemade red chilli oil for the extra kick! Only down side is that the drinks are really expensive. €5 for a small glass of Vietnamese coffee is sad, even if it's in the heart of Amsterdam. It was good, but I can't justify that price.

The pho dac biet is good. Great portion as well. Restaurant itself is quite dirty and has not really a nice atmosphere. The staff is something else. Talking so loud in Vietnamese and only busy with each other.

I will be coming back. I have been on a mission to find the best pho of Amsterdam and I found it here. The broth was great, the vegetables served with were perfect (no mint 🙌🏻), the meats were well cooked and in a generous amount. If the owner reads this, I only have one question : is the sriracha homemade ? It tasted different than usual ones.

Very nice food, and friendly staff, fast service. We tried the bah mi sandwich which was very good. Also a pho, small one. The food sizes are big, so if you are not big eaters, careful what you order. We’ll definitely go back there; highly recommended.

The produce they used in their dishes was so fresh!!! Small bowl was cheap and filling. The beef was tender. The atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting. Bathrooms were clean. Overall, great place for a quick bowl of pho!!!

I had a bitter experience at Pho King so decided to try this place instead. I had #51 (pho with a lot of beef) and wow, food was great. I was also very impressed with their exceptional service!

The pho broth, noodles, and crispy fried chicken wings are all too salty and do not have the cinnamon-anise scent of the typical pho flavor. Not a good experience

Standards for service in Amsterdam are pretty low, but this place is hands down the worst/slowest service I’ve ever experienced here. Took 15min to have our order taken. Another 20min to see the entree. After waiting well over an hour we gave up, were about to cancel our orders and leave when finally the bun cha arrived. No apology or explanation from the staff. We ordered beef summer rolls because the menu said they did not contain mint. They were the size of burritos and filled with about 30-40% mint!! The pork and prawns in the buncha did not taste fresh at all, did not look or taste like Vietnamese pork. The Pho was flavorless. The table next to us also seemed to wait over an hour though somehow they got their food first despite arriving later than us. Never ever again.

Amazing experience we had the owner cook us our dinner, and it was like were transported back to Asia. Absolutely wonderful!

Excellent Vietnamese food here on a weekday summer evening. The spring rolls are fresh and served with different sauces, so there is something for everyone. The pho is a good size and was served with three types of beef. The balls were very tasty, but one of the two types of meat was a bit tough. The broth tasted good, but could have used a little more salt. Service was friendly.

The food was very bland and boring. The service was slow and inattentive. The devil laughs Everytime someone gets suckered into eating at this restaurant. Your money is better spent elsewhere. Unless of course you are allergic to flavour.

The food was nice, but 30 minutes into food prep, they realized they ran out of ingredients for 2 dishes. The wait for food was 1 hour long and then they tried to charge us for the food we didn't get.

What an adorable little gem! It’s right by Rembrandtplein and the prices are very reasonable. The food is delicious, the staff friendly and the place is cute, with quiet music and a cozy atmosphere. Just beware: the summer rolls are huge and so is the “regular” pho portion - although neither of these is a bad thing! I’d also maybe reserve a table beforehand, it gets quite packed around dinner time.

Was craving Asian food after 10 days in Europe and this place hits the spot

Great food, good prices, but the service (though very friendly) was not great. No one came to our table to ask us for drinks or for us to order, or to ask us anything throughout the night. We had to grab their attention every time. And can we please stop with this trend of 'digital menus'? Menus where you have to use your phone to scan a code and look at the menu... I hate having to be on my phone to look at the menu. I come to a restaurant to get away from screens. I sound negative, but other than above, it was a great experience.

All staff have a bad attitude toward their job. They have absolutely no clue what industry they are in! The waitress with the glasses is the worst! She rolled her eyes in front of us and was super impatient with customers! She deserves to be fired for business's sake! The place was only half full, but we waited 30 mins for meals. My Pho was coming without the veg plate as usual. I had to request by myself. The waiter had no sense of sending the veg plate asap before the soup got cold! The broth of Pho was super oily. Who will want to return to this kinda place ever again?! Not me for sure!

Best bahn mi in Amsterdam, tried numerous places. This is the real deal; pickled carrot and daikon. Spring rolls and summer rolls are also delicious.

- staffs not friendly, we are a friend group of 2 asians and one dutch, the dutch one got treat normally but the 2 asians got treated in a weird and debatable way. - Messed up the order by forgetting 2 of the items we ordered - Got informed that their fry chicken machine is broken when we almost finished eating, while they still made mistake by charging us in the end.

Spring rolls were mid, dip sauces disappointing. The Bun was completely flavourless, quite an achievement. I threw in all the sauces on the table and it still tasted of nothing. Service non-existent. Staff didn't bother asking if I'd enjoyed my meal, I can see why.

Pho broth is rich, the meat (chicken / beef) tender, the service is super sweet. We sat here at recommendation of Pho King - which was already sold out at 7:30pm (why though?) and had a great night. Homemade ice tea was super refreshing, desserts are OK - like 3,5 out of 5, but we came for pho anyway.

A good Vietnamese restaurant. The food is authentic! The presentation of the dishes is kept rather simple. The location is right on a busy street and only offers beer benches and tables outside.

Came here as Pho King was too full to accept us, and was actually glad that happened, as this was up there with some of the better Pho I've eaten. Excellent service and amazing fresh food. Used the toilet, but no hand soap.. Also soft drinks and water a rip off, still Highly recommend!

I went with my husband for the first time to the restaurant. I didn't book a table, but luckily the female staff member helped me find a table. It's best to book a table in advance. I ordered the dry noodle soup, which was really delicious, while my husband ate rice. The grilled meat is also very delicious. And the staff here are very Gut

When we sat down, Pieter admitted that this was the first time he had tried Asian cuisine. After I recovered from this shock, I asked him if he really couldn't remember a time when he had eaten Asian food. “Yes, maybe when I was a child, I was Chinese with my parents.” Dismayed, I quickly opened the menu to put an end to this culinary poverty. Pieter's dish arrived more than 10 minutes earlier than mine, and I didn't hear him during that time. It was completely silent, but his face spoke volumes. I watched him eat his vegan tempeh with an intense yet blissful look, and I took the slurping for granted, haha. Satisfied, Pieter then leaned back. Do you also want the Pieter experience? Then I highly recommend this tent!

My rate: 2/5 I came here because of their Hu Tieu Nam Vang. I got the Hu Tieu Nam Vang Kho, it's was bland and I had to ask for extra soya sauce. My friend got the normal Hu Tieu Nam Vang, and it's a bit salty. Another friend of me got Bun Thit Nuong, the grilled Pork somewhat tasted weird like it's old meat. Fried Chicken wings was bad. It's overcooked and tasted burnt/bitter. Goi Ngo Sen was delicious. The staff here was noisy, gossiping, loud and having negative attitudes. They were shouting/yelling at each other often when we were there. They even talked bad behind our back although they knew that we could understand/hear what they said. We didn't want to pick a fight with them so we pretended we didn't hear their words. I came with a high expectation but left with disappointment.

The meat slices are tender and the ingredients are rich. Coffee with condensed milk tastes like chocolate. The spring rolls were delicious. I ordered 2 rounds. They were added with coriander and mint. They tasted very special. The noodle soup is boiled. It's cold and it's nice to drink hot soup. The store provides free wifi.

The beef noodle was great, always good to have a hot soup noodle in chilly day! We opted for summer roll though it’s chilly as it’s where we could taste the most out of the dipping sauce. This place open throughout the day and we were just checking to have a late lunch and they are still open at 3pm which majority of relatively small scale eatery may have been closed after lunch hour. Worth checking out if you crave for Vietnamese noodle soup when you are at the city centre.

The food was ok. I think they might have tried a bit too hard to be ‘low key’ so some of the foods became a bit ‘low’ 😅. Grilled chicken was great, the chicken salad itself heavily lacked veggies and sauce. Vietnamese coffee was not really Vietnamese when it comes to serving or the taste. People that are into chocolate and strong coffee might like it though.
