Amazing Pho, a bit strong of anis taste but very yummy! A very nice portion for a person.

Saturday 18-7 I wanted pho for lunch and the website said they'd open at 12 noon, but when I arrived around 12:25 PM the place was still closed.

Authentic Vietnamese food and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

The pho was delicious, with a very flavorful broth. The owner was also very enthusiastic and hospitable.

If you ever get the chance to visit the Netherlands, I think you should try this restaurant. The owner is lovely, and the pho is especially delicious. Absolutely delicious.

We were shown to our seats, given menus (we got our own drinks from the refrigerator), and ordered and paid at the counter inside. They only have beef pho. There are no toppings, it's already served, but the soup isn't too hot and the toppings stay crisp. The soup is delicious. The service is fast. An interesting aroma wafts from the neighboring restaurants.

Great hole in the wall place. Pho is authentic and flavorful. It's literally a kitchen with a few tables outdoors and maybe counter seating for 2 people indoors. Limited capacity aside, I will stress again that the food is great!

I specifically looked up the restaurant and traveled there based on the posted opening time of 1:00 PM. However, when I arrived, I was told they would not open until 2:00 PM. Following the staff’s instructions, I came back at 1:50 PM, only to find that the restaurant was already full and customers were already being served. Since there were no available seats, I had to go for a long walk and return again at around 3:00 PM before finally getting a table. The food itself was excellent. We ordered two Pho Dac Biet with extra meat, which came to around €50 in total. The pho was very tasty, authentic, and definitely one of the better Vietnamese dining experiences I’ve had. Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by the confusion regarding opening hours and the service. It was disappointing to be told to come back at 2:00 PM, only to find the restaurant already operating and fully occupied before then. Great food and authentic flavors, but the wait time and lack of clear communication left us somewhat disappointed.

When me and my boyfriend arrived to this restaurant, there were already 2 people in front of us queuing up. We were quickly seated and we ordered two very delicious bowls of Pho King noodles. I really recommend this! The broth was very savoury and delicious and the Vietnamese egg roll came out piping hot and delicious also. 10/10 would visit again :)

Delicious Vietnamese pho Unfortunately, they only have beef broth pho; there's no chicken broth option. However, they do have chicken/pork Bun/Vietnamese rice noodles.

The food was delicious; I got a really big portion. I am a big eater and I couldn't finish it. When I arrived it was busy, there was only one table left outside, but luckily we didn't have to wait in line. The atmosphere is great, the staff are very sweet, and the food was ready quickly. I will definitely be back!

Though the main speciality of this place is Pho, they also offer vermicelli salad bowls (Bun). I had the Bun Bo (beef) which was a bit odd. The salad greens seemed limp and there were not many fresh herbs. The beef itself, though flavourful, was a bit grey and wet. There was also no Nuoc Cham dressing. A boiled egg made a strange addition. Huge serving size! Just a note - it seems the side street is occasionally (improperly) used as a shortcut for motorbikes. Stay aware!

I've tried it many times and the service quality is always the same. The portions are incredibly filling and the flavors make me want to come back again and again. I highly recommend it for both the excellent service and the delicious food.

You enter, order, and your food is ready before you blink. The speed does't hamper the quality though, both the beef slice pho and cooked shrimp rolls were great👍. Nice street food vibe!

Highly recommend. Out of all the food I've ever had in my life, this is top three. I expected it to be revolutionary and I was still shocked. We had to wait for about 5 minutes for a seat, but when we were seated, we were immediately presented with a menu and a warm welcome. Naturally, trying out this restaurant for the first time ordains the trial of its signature dish, aptly titled "the pho king". Along with it, I got a side of vietnamese iced coffee, which was also revolutionary in its bittersweet decadence - layers upon layers of flavour, which paired exquisitely with the warm broth in the pho. Upon arrival of the pho, which took about 4 minutes, I was left mesmerised with the rich broth, perfectly braised, juicy beef, and the range of toppings (coriander, spring onions, taugeh, optional sriracha and hoisin sauce on the side). Worth the wait. Tipped ten euros. Would definitely go again. Life changing.

This is a great choice for Asian food when you're traveling. The broth is delicious and the ingredients are plentiful – it's really fantastic! The shop isn't big, and there aren't many seats, but the food is highly recommended. The rice noodles are especially delicious!

I give this restaurant 5 stars because the food was really delicious! The pho was well-seasoned; you can really taste the spices and that the broth is fresh and homemade. It is also a generous portion. The only downside is that it is very small. There are only 8 seats and you sit very close together. Inside, everything is foggy and the smell clings to your clothes and hair. Apart from that, I would come back for the food.

For anyone looking for a simple, quick, and reliable lunch — especially Asians who don’t want to feel like they’ve wasted their money — this place is a solid choice. The pho comes with a very generous portion of noodles, definitely filling. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the beef is tender and well-cooked. A small downside is the lack of the usual fresh herb platter (mint, cilantro, lettuce), which would have made the dish feel more complete. Condiments are also quite limited — only sriracha and hoisin sauce are available on the table. The shrimp fresh spring rolls were rather forgettable — they lacked the usual herbs and fillings, and only came with basic lettuce. The restaurant itself is quite small with limited seating, so it’s not ideal for larger groups. Overall, still a satisfying and enjoyable meal 👍

The pho was truly excellent: super rich broth, well-seasoned, and deliciously fresh with herbs like coriander, red onion, and chili. The addition of lime gave it exactly that fresh kick you expect from a good Vietnamese soup. The portions are also generous, so you certainly won't leave here hungry. The atmosphere is cozy and informal, with a snug setting both inside and out. You can tell it's a popular spot, but the service remains friendly and fast. Perfect for a quick, flavorful meal in Amsterdam. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for authentic pho!

I really like Pho soup with beef. It is slightly spicy. When I visit on cold days it usually warms me up. The restaurant is very popular and often there are no seats. I usually eat on the street - it is very cozy inside. In March 2026, Pho soup costs 18e.

Tight space but one of the best Vietnamese food I had in Europe! Highly recommend Vietnamese iced coffee and bun bo.

I've tried Pho at many places over Europe, but this one still literally is the King. I've only had to wait like once, besides that it's usually quick service and delicious food. My SO, who is vietnamese, also says this is the closest you can get to the original in Vietnam, at least for the places in the Netherlands. Edit: Years later, still as good.

My girlfriend and I went there twice. Both times we ordered the "Pho King," and both times it was the best pho we've ever had. The authentic food and atmosphere made the visit unforgettable. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also delicious and highly recommended alongside a hot meal. The pho portions are very generous and will satisfy even a big appetite.

Not only is everything ridiculously delicious, it's the little touches that make it perfect - like immediately being handed a menu even though they're super busy, like being given a spoon for the sauce that comes with the summer rolls etc etc. Will def be back 🫶✨

As soon as I got off at the central station, I was craving soup, so I looked around. It felt like fake ramen was out of the question, so I found this place. The warm sunlight and the cold wind seemed to be at odds, playing off each other, and it felt like Korean fine dust had followed me here. I finally managed to find it, ordered without waiting, and paid in advance. 18 euros isn't cheap, but the cilantro was piled high like shabu-shabu water parsley, and there was a decent amount of meat. The bowl was small, so the portion seemed small, but it actually felt generous. I ate so quickly that I almost burned the roof of my mouth. It felt like a proper meal, as I slurped down the soaking soup-soaked rice into my mouth like a spoonful. Without the cilantro, the feeling would have been less intense. I kept listening to a young Vietnamese singer in her 20s singing along to the karaoke-like accompaniment, and I found myself humming along on the street.

Everything you hope for in a small hidden gem of a restaurant. The folks word diligently, pumping out bowl after bowl of amazing food. Very much worth the wait if there is one. Not to be missed- that first slurp of broth is like a hug from a loved one…

They're very nice, and the place is nice and simple, just like in Vietnam. But it's a real shame that we waited outside in the cold for an hour, and they didn't have any vegetarian pho in the end. There were three of us vegetarians :')

Best place for hangover treatment 👌 Rich broth, super authentic taste. Place itself is super small, expect 6 people waiting in line to be seated, while most of the tables haven't been served food yet. And yet, one feels rewarded with the first slurp. The only reason I would not like you to come - not to take the sit that potentially could be mine. From the bottom of the bowl - thank you. And for owners: please take a look at the place that could accommodate more guests 😅 Though, there's a charm to it being so busy.

The best and my fav Pho spot! The first time I was here I was shocked by the amount of flavors in the Pho, and since then I always come back here from time to time for a warm bowl of delicious pho. It is a small shop in a small alley way around center Amsterdam, and that’s how you know the food there is truly authentic and tasty!

What an experience! After a long cold rainy day, I went to this place with a friend and it definitely didn’t disappoint. 18€ per a bowl of pho is a but expensive but it’s Amsterdam. It was very very good. Definitely hit the spot. Also tried their egg rolls but they weren’t as good as i expected. would still go back for pho.

I don't often leave negative reviews, but my experience here tonight was so disappointing... Showed up at 7:55pm, at first they didn't want to seat me inside as they close at 8:30pm and suggested I sit and eat outside (bearing in mind, it's 2 degrees celsius outside!). I promise that I will be done by 8:30pm, the server reluctantly takes my order, and when I try to order spring rolls, he says no, we don't serve them anymore after 8pm... Good to know that cold spring rolls that don't require any cooking are taken off of the menu 30 mins before official closing time! During my entire meal, the server would bring food outside but would always leave the door open once he was back in the restaurant... being in the doorway, I got up 5 times to close the door behind him because, again... its 2 degrees outside!!! At 8:30pm on the dot, I put my spoon down for a second and without asking me if I'm finished, he comes and takes my bowl away. Never ever coming back, have never had service like this anywhere. Such a disappointment.

This place is such a hidden gem. We stumbled across it, and decided to try it. We’ve never had Pho like this. It’s so good, authentic food. Good service. There was a little bit of a queue, but went down quickly and we didn’t mind. We had Beef pho €18 each which isn’t bad at all, good size portions. Can’t wait to come back again!

I recently visited Pho King, and it truly exceeded my expectations. I ordered the beef pho, and the portion size was huge definitely enough for two people to share, especially if you’d like to try some snacks on the side. The broth was rich, flavorful, and well-seasoned, which really surprised me considering how mild some dishes in the Netherlands can be. The noodles were soft and satisfying, and the spices gave the soup a deep, authentic taste. The only thing I didn’t love was the texture of the meatballs they were a bit chewy, possibly overcooked but overall, the dish was still delicious. The restaurant’s interior deserves a mention too; the décor and table setup instantly transport you to Vietnam or somewhere in Southeast Asia. It feels cozy, warm, and intimate perfect for both casual outings with friends or even a nice date. The staff were incredibly kind and understanding, and they even packed up my leftovers so I could take them home. While the prices are slightly on the higher side (around €18 for a bowl of pho), the quality and portion size make it worthwhile especially if you share. I’ll definitely be coming back for another visit.

This is the only decent bowl of pho I've had in this city. Used to be better. Used to have tripe available but that doesn't sell here. Last visit the broth was a bit too salty but I prefer that over under-seasoned as most of the other pho in the city is. There's just no amazing pho in Amsterdam, or I haven't found it yet. This is the best we have.

My first ever pho! I loved it, it was really good, the broth too. Everything was perfect, with the sauces you could want on the side (for my sriracha and oyster sauce fans) 🙈 The spring rolls were very good as well. There's a coffee shop 🍃 right next door, which might be a bit inconvenient if you're with children, it's not ideal... but otherwise, it's nice even if the place is quite small and cramped.

It feels illegal to say this bowl of pho tasted *better* than some pho I’ve had in Vietnam… First sip of the broth- eyes widened, then the world stopped. Am I being dramatic? Nope! Genuinely the warmest most flavourful broth, perfect for today’s rainy cold day. Generous portions of noodles and beef slices. (Bonus points for the Lee Kum Kee hoisin sauce) Limited seating area but we secured an outside table at 6:45pm, service was fast, no more than 10 minute. Left very full, happy, and warm.

🌟Pho King 18€ Super delicious! It's loaded with beef slices, beef balls, and thick beef. This bowl of pho is the perfect treat for Asian stomachs~ The portion is also quite generous; after finishing a whole bowl, you'll feel incredibly full. You might have to wait a bit during meal times, but it's worth the wait.

A tiny spot located in an alley. Only a few tables inside. Service was quick. Food was delicious. Really really good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars because their bathroom had no sink. Not sure if the Netherlands has a health board, but can’t imagine they would approve. Hoping the cooks have somewhere to wash up!

The food is not good enough for me to tolerate your bad attitude. The noodles in Bun are like leftover.
