Lodge at the Lake in Rokkeveen

Nicely decorated restaurant. Spacious tables and comfortable chairs. The service is friendly and professional. Children can play nearby in a play area. The food is good. The wine too.

It's a dump; the pizza tastes like pre-made tomato sauce, and the meat is almost raw. It has absolutely nothing to do with Italian food! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Very small portions and the coffee was weak in the latte macchiato (made stingily). After reporting it, I received a new one that was also weak. No fries with the meal, and they didn't ask if we wanted anything else to drink. A shame.

A wonderfully relaxing lunch with perfect service from Finn. We'd love to come back.

Lunch generally lacks substance. It's like appetizers. The more Japanese-inspired menu has its pros and cons. Chiabata chicken is delicious, but the comfort food with cuagomolo is simply not enough. It leaves a nasty aftertaste. We won't be back until they have a different menu.

The food order had already been placed during bowling. Still, we had to wait more than an hour for food. My brother-in-law's burger was still raw despite this. My veggie burger was hard, chewy and tasteless and looked like it was made of rubber. For dessert, despite specified dietary requirements, I initially received a regular Dame Blanche, but it was returned after I indicated that I had a lactose intolerance. For this I received something else. My lactose-free dessert consisted of frozen sorbet balls with strawberries with the crown still on and a sprig of red currants added to it. And then afterwards ask for extra drinks after this culinary failure.

I'm still waiting for the food and it's already been 45 minutes

Last Saturday, my wife and I had a delicious meal at Restaurant Lodge at The Lake. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Absolute recommendations (besides everything being delicious) include the prawns in garlic oil as a starter (Gambas al Ajillo). 12 prawns!! The sea bass and the "Moulin Rouge" dessert. If you'd like a non-alcoholic cocktail, I highly recommend the Martini. A solid 5+ stars for this restaurant.

Nice informal atmosphere in this business. Excellent snacks and drinks and plenty of friendly staff who took care of the evening. Ample parking and the outdoor terraces are a beautiful place to gaze over the lake when the weather is nice.

Beautiful place, nice playground. B Service could have been much better. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. We arrived and weren't greeted by the three people behind the bar/reception. Not a big deal, but also not polite. We were asked to find a seat, and the woman asked what we wanted to drink. We wanted to see the drinks menu, and she immediately went to get it. After more than half an hour and a lot of waving, we ordered at the bar. The children's drinks arrived after about fifteen minutes. After an hour, we still hadn't received any cocktails (we'd ordered two different ones). Quite angrily, I told the bar that we thought this was unusual. They were ready on the bar, though. I explained that simply saying "cocktails can take a very long time" when ordering would alleviate some of the frustration. Although I find an hour really bizarre. Also, someone had joined us and wasn't noticed. The young man, quite irritated, said he understood my point. Oh well, he couldn't offer an apology. The young lady who was making the schedule, however, did. After that, they did come to the table a lot, but that didn't really make up for it. The drink attendants were very friendly. It was noticeable that other tables weren't helped either. I'm happy to pay 12 euros for my drink, but waiting an hour for it when the place isn't completely full and there are plenty of staff is absolutely outrageous. The children enjoyed the indoor and outdoor playground, but next time we'll go somewhere else.

It's such a shame the service is so bad at this place. It's a great place to take kids for a drink or a meal. There's a beach and a playground. Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. After 15 minutes, I went to the bar to ask if I could order something. Then, they brought the wrong drink twice (not what we ordered). And it would be nice if you order bittergarnituur (a type of Dutch snack) and they'd provide napkins with it. Too bad! Hopefully, they'll improve the service soon, because it's a lovely place in nice weather!

We came here with a deal package that offered a 3 course arrangement. For starter, we choose the beef tacos and the chef’s special which was just a sushi crab roll. The beef taco was actually tartare in a crispy pastry but it was not clear at the menu that beef will be rare. The sushi was really of mediocre quality. As for the main dishes, we chose the beef steak with asparagus and the burger. We asked for a medium-well burger and we got medium-rare instead. The first burger came in a nice bread and with fresh vegetables. I complained for the burger and they brought me a new one after 35 min . My partner had already eaten with difficulty a rare steak ( blue steak) and not even medium rare. The burger comes in a different type of bread and with not really fresh vegetables. The meat was so cooked that it was like rubber. The desserts were tasty but not really special. We ate the ice cream with white chocolate and red fruits and the lemon pie. In general the atmosphere was ok and the service was friendly but not really helpful. I wouldn’t come back again for a dinner!

You really feel like a welcome guest here! I was somewhat bothered by the noise from those present, possibly due to the pointed roof. Very nice here! It's a pity that public transport is difficult to reach this location...

Atmosphereless, even on a weekend day there is no one there. Food nevertheless took a very long time. Burger was okay. Miso eggplant was half raw eggplant with curry, very dirty. With another beer and a starter for 2 people we paid 100 euros. Total waste of money, don't go.

Such a shame, since corona there has been a significant shortage of (good) staff and that is noticeable. They are only open on weekend evenings. On Friday evening there were two of the staff and we were the second table occupied, so it was very quiet. After half an hour we got the card ourselves, because they had 'forgotten' us. The other table had also just brought in their own drinks and there were uncleaned tables outside. After fifteen minutes I walked back in to ask if they could still come by for the order, 'oh yes'. Order fresh orange juice as stated on the menu for €4.70, but then you get Appelsientje. I said something about this and got the response: 'oh yes, that's what we call it here, no, I cannot adjust the price'. Later ordered a burrata salad with watermelon; got a small ball of mozzarella with three squares of watermelon. It's a shame that this restaurant has deteriorated so much, it was a nice place.

I ate here a few years ago and I didn't think the food was that good. But now I was pleasantly surprised. I have to say that it has become very expensive and the eggplant dish we got was very little. Especially for the money. But it was tasty. Friendly service. And the cocktail I had was tasty too. Location is always very nice!

We had our wedding at Lodge at the Lake. It really is a fantastic place to celebrate your wedding. Ibiza and botanical style. We were able to do the ceremony outside, but if it had been inside, the wedding would be just as beautiful. Everything is tastefully decorated. The food, drinks and service were good. We were looking for a party location. The day we had an appointment to view the rooms there were meetings and we could only view the rooms from around a corner. Then it was said that there was no room available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the next three months (it would have been more convenient to say that on the phone when making the appointment) and after our conversation (in a very noisy room without a cup). coffee), the employee would email us the possible dates on Thursday. We never heard anything about that again. So we went for nothing, a waste of time and not customer friendly.

Recently opened again and chose this location because of the children's play area. No menu on the website, but upon arrival there was no choice but only shared dining. But there too no choice of dishes but a predetermined menu. This turned out to be really not worth the money and there is nothing to come back for or recommend. Nice place for children and that's it.

Baby shower organized with high tea. That was very disappointing. The location was great...but wouldn't have high tea there again. The receptionist Rosita was very rude and not helpful at all!!!! wait staff were very friendly

Shows as open but is closed. When you call Dekker, they indicate that you have to make a reservation via the website, I tell them that that is not possible and only then is it said that they are closed for the time being. I suggested that they at least indicate on the website that they are closed and say that they will consider it.

It says open from 10, but is not yet open at 1300. So we go again. Unfortunately there is very little vegetarian choice outside of that. Too bad, because for the location we would like to come here much more often.

Hmm, somewhat limited menu in a somewhat boring setting. The food was just okay and served by friendly staff. Prices are reasonable.

Was quite disappointing. It started well, a delicious carpaccio. But something went wrong when serving the main course. A tablemate got chicken satay instead of the daily menu. First taken back without apologies, which followed later, but didn't really sound right. Felt like we were complaining for no reason. We ordered 3 entrecotes. 2 of them were very tough. A sirloin steak also arrived much later than the others. Two people ordered fries instead of a Hasback potato. The third also got fries for convenience. Finally, there was rhubarb done through the cream. Shame, I don't like it. But that was mentioned on the menu, so of course the restaurant cannot be blamed for that.

Unfortunately, special requirements that were indicated in advance when booking were not taken into account. The food was also bland and of mediocre quality.

Maybe we weren't at the right time but the service was slow. I had the impression that people were running the catering business with minimal effort. Upon entry we were checked for a QR code. The accommodation is beautiful. Sitting outside with the view of the lake is excellent. There is a play area for the children. After bowling we had dinner with the group of 16 people. The cuisine is rated differently. Eating fish on that day was not a good idea, unfortunately. Overall it's pricey for what you get.

Really, really bad. Ordered blueberry / banana pancakes today with white chocolate. The pancakes didn't taste like anything and there was way too much chocolate on them, it made me feel nauseous. There were 3 berries on it (cut in half) and some banana slices. And that for 12.50... and then you report this to the waiter and you are told: oh, how annoying, we will pass it on to the chef. What's in it for me? The only thing that was good was the wine and that was also too expensive. Conclusion: way too expensive for very bad food. So don't go there as a waste of your money.

Super nice terrace Ibiza style, the restaurant also very stylish. Unfortunately for me the menu is small and not as much as Sweet Lake Italy which is in the same building. Very nice staff and also for the little ones to play outside or inside in the play paradise.

I celebrated my birthday with some friends, Lodge at the lake seemed like a nice restaurant to do so there. Well in advance I had had email contact with one of the employees because I would bring my own cake and wanted to decorate the table in advance. Once I arrived at the restaurant (with the cake in my arms) I heard one employee say to the other 'we can't do anything with that, we don't have room for that'. While I had clearly asked if it was a problem. I was then asked if I wanted to eat the cake beforehand, my answer was 'no' because I wanted it afterwards. I was taken to the table (still with the cake in my arms) and discovered that two people had to sit 1.5 meters apart. It would have been nice if this had been indicated in advance. There was such a distance between the first and the last table that we could not even hear each other. And since our tables were in the middle of the restaurant (between the running children) instead of somewhere in a quieter corner, it was not really pleasant. Also, ten minutes after I had said that I would like to have the cake afterwards, dishes with forks were suddenly brought 'for the cake', the employee said. The service was also not very friendly. My friend asked for truffle mayonnaise instead of normal mayonnaise and the lady said that was no longer possible and walked away very rudely. One of my friends who was leaving early and therefore had to pay earlier was also rudely asked, "Yes, and who is going to pay the dish costs?" Even though I had already clearly agreed to this. All in all a fairly bad experience, location is great, but that's the only thing.

We had a delicious meal. The shared starter was well filled. The bavette was well cooked and wonderfully tender. The location of the business is beautiful and the space inside is very good. Worth repeating.

The 'healthy&veggie' shared starter contained beef broth and pork bacon. Then the main courses. The bavette was tough, the cod dry. Served with chewy fries from a warming container and sweet potatoes, for which an unmentioned surcharge was charged. The red wine was served at about 7°C. In short, a hitherto unseen accumulation of very basic errors! Only I didn't say anything about the extra cost - by that time I wanted to leave quickly to eat a decent dessert somewhere else. With the slow service, over two hours had already passed! Fortunately the company was good. All other matters were kindly reported, of course, but unfortunately they were not dealt with adequately. A shame, because the location is simply great.
