Poor acoustics (poor intelligibility). Loetje has become expensive.

Food delicious, service great. We had reserved for 5:45 PM. From around 7:00 PM, there was a very long line of people waiting for a table. This affected the atmosphere. People were standing all the way outside. The door was therefore left open. As a result, the children ate with their coats on. It also meant that we didn't linger after dinner. We got the feeling that we had to make room. Despite the enormous crowds, the service was quick, friendly, and stress-free.

We hadn't been to Loetje Bergen yet. We received a nice and friendly welcome. We ordered delicious food which was also ready quickly, and they regularly asked if everything was to our liking, which I really appreciate. The food was a real treat!!! So we will definitely be back again.

We went there to eat steak. When the order arrived, they had a 0% steak for me, which I hadn't ordered. So it went back. I had to wait 8 minutes for my steak to arrive. My husband had already finished eating. They apologized, because you go out to eat together, not one after the other. We got a free dessert, but the fun was already gone. I think this is such a shame. I won't be going there again.

Very disappointing – Loetje, this really needs to improve! We visit Loetje regularly, but to be honest, we are increasingly wondering where the quality and hospitality have gone. The steak, for which Loetje is so well known, is of quite inconsistent quality. One time delicious, the next downright disappointing. For a restaurant that brands itself on its steak, you would expect the quality to be consistent. Last Sunday, we all wanted to enjoy a steak together. Upon entering, we saw plenty of empty tables, even between tables where other guests were simply eating. To our surprise, we were not allowed to sit anywhere because there was supposedly a shortage of staff. Of course, we understand that a staff shortage can be difficult. But turning guests away when there are visibly enough tables available is hard to understand. As a regular guest, it certainly does not give you the feeling that you are welcome. Apparently, an empty table is no guarantee that you are welcome at Loetje. Loetje may have made a name for itself with steak, but you cannot keep relying on that reputation. Consistent quality, good organization, and hospitality are at least as important. A missed opportunity and, above all, a major disappointment for guests who particularly like to return.

On October 9th, we had dinner at Loetje with our neighbors. We had been looking forward to the "De Roode Waard" tenderloin steak with chicken livers, bacon, and onion... but the chicken livers were sold out.... at least we had it with bacon and onion... and it was delicious. Next time we'll order it with the livers again, but it was super tasty, and not to forget the fries, which were very tasty again too. So you can expect us back in a while. Not to forget the super friendly staff, which makes for a very pleasant experience... see you soon.

A cozy terrace where we had a drink on one of these last beautiful days of September. Corine, the site manager, in particular, made our stay very enjoyable and pleasant.

We went out to eat at Loetje Bergen with a group of 7 people.

Loetje has become a vast, noisy dining hall where the cacophony drowns out whatever quality the food has to offer. The steak is perfectly decent, I’ll give them that, but it’s nothing more than that, and it’s overpriced. What little charm the place still has comes from the friendliness of the staff.

Great food, service okay, nice atmosphere but very loud, more like a canteen as it's always very crowded, reservations are a must.

I found it very crowded inside; the tables are so close together that people keep bumping into you when they walk past. I sat there for just one minute and already three people were right up against me. I asked for another table and it was better there. But the same problem occurred next to us: it was too narrow to stand up without the neighbor behind you having their stomach hanging into their plate. The food was fine and tasty, and the staff was friendly.

The food and service are very good, the atmosphere is cozy, but the general noise level of the other patrons makes it unsuitable for a quiet dinner. Reserving a table is recommended.

Today we had a delicious meal at Loetje in Bergen. The service was quick and friendly, and the location is beautiful! We both enjoyed the famous steak. Unfortunately, we completely forgot to take a picture of it. 😄 We finished the afternoon with a delicious cup of coffee. All in all, we had a successful afternoon. Definitely worth repeating!

We only had two cocktails. First, we stood at an unreserved table for about three minutes, as every other table we saw had a reservation (sign on the table). Then, since no one approached us, we just sat down. As no one came to our table after that, we ordered using the QR code sticker on the table. Several tables were empty. It wasn't particularly busy. Shortly after, the cocktails arrived. We were served a really good, large mojito and a good, half-sized Moscow Mule, which could have used a bit more sweetness. The prices were reasonable for the location. You should expect to pay between 10 and 12 euros. You're practically in the center, even if that doesn't add any real value. Many locals say you can probably eat well here too.

I hadn't made a reservation and I was alone. Often, you get stared at when the terrace is full. Not at Loetje. I was warmly welcomed and a table was prepared for me. I didn't feel like I was being stared at. I had a delicious meal and was helped/served in a friendly manner by the staff.

I didn't think the soaking was all that great, but that might just be me; I don't like my steak having to swim for its life, and then having to be cut into pieces as well. But tastes differ, of course. It's a matter of taste.

What I liked less was that we were asked to leave a five-person table under a parasol where we often sit and have sat, because there were only three of us. Sitting in the full sun, we saw another party of three looking for a spot, and the same waitress pointed us to the spot where we had sat first. Not exactly inviting to sit here next time; I understand that you want to keep the table free for a larger party, but if it goes like it did for us, I don't understand it—I wasn't used to this from Loetje. Maybe a different manager, but still, this doesn't create an inviting atmosphere.

Super cozy terrace, incredibly friendly staff and, not unimportant, delicious food too.

We ate here tonight with a group of people and it was fantastic! The terrace was packed, yet we were still addressed in a friendly and professional manner by a waiter. We were shown to a table, which was then given an extra clean just for us. The drinks arrived quickly and were exactly as expected. For starters, we had the chicken avocado, and I had a carpaccio with toast. The entire table gave the starter an average score of 9. For the main course, a schnitzel, and I understood that the chicken satay, as well as a steak ordered by the others, was excellent. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely go back here. Highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere, but the value for money leaves something to be desired. Loetje in Bergen scores points with its great interior design, a lovely outdoor area, and very clean restrooms. The staff was also exceptionally friendly. The food is okay, but the concept could be improved: No side dishes like fries or salad are served with the main courses. Since you have to order everything separately, the price-performance ratio unfortunately doesn't quite add up in the end. 🧐👎

This restaurant doesn't live up to its good reviews. We paid €23 for a simple deep-fried schnitzel (like a chip shop), plus a salad and fries for €6.75 each. Two stars only for the fries and salad; otherwise, it deserves one star. A bottle of water cost €6.75. 👍 I would never eat there again. For me, it was one of the worst schnitzels ever.

The service is always good, no matter when you come. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait when we are at our busiest, and that is perfectly logical. We have been coming for a number of years and this is our favorite Loetje!

Besides the excellent steak, I found the 0.0% alcohol coffees among the desserts remarkable and worthwhile. Highly recommended.

Sat for an hour and a half, and the previous guest's glasses were not cleared, the table was not cleaned, and the staff is absolutely not paying attention to the guests. A shame and a missed opportunity.

It is always nice to eat at Loetje. They even have delicious sandwiches for lunch. Although, in hindsight, choosing the steak with that amazing gravy was a good choice too. That should be allowed for lunch, right? 😉

Quite a tasty steak, but: reasonably expensive, long wait, lots of smokers on the terrace (on a beautiful day we just sat inside). Just ban it, because when you are sitting down to your delicious steak costing over 35 EUR (without fries or a drink), that experience is completely ruined by puffing paupers. And in response to your comment: of course you have influence. You can have a smoke-free terrace, can't you? Not allow smoking?

It was my first time at Loetje; I was already looking forward to it. I had accidentally reserved for Saturday and arrived on Friday. All the way from Rotterdam and it was packed! I hadn't mentioned that I was coming from far away, just that it was my first time. Regardless of how full it was, she gave my son and me the best spot. We spontaneously decided to have dinner here as a couple. We hadn't made a reservation but still got a table. My burger (with the fries we ordered separately) was very good. The two dips were a perfect complement. My wife's risotto, unfortunately, wasn't very hot and the flavor could have been improved. Both dishes were beautifully presented 👍🏻 The staff were quick and very friendly.

The staff were well coordinated, everything ran smoothly. However, it was very busy; a table that became empty was immediately filled again. Once again, the staff did a fine job, but for me, it was a bit too massive and noisy.

Went there on a Thursday. Very good service and food. What you would expect from Loetje. I think that meat could have been a little bit less cooked. Hence my score. Otherwise all good. Not cheap, you pay for service and food quality.
