De Oude Prins in Wijk 01 Bergen Binnen

Ate on the patio with my partner today. Pangsit didn't have a meatball in it. Just a few fried sheets—well, what?! And that for €5.50. The duck was dry, as I've read in reviews before, but here's the saddest part... if you choose bami or nasi with a dish instead of the standard (free) white rice, you have to pay €3.80 for a meager bowl. That's how a duck dish comes to €28.80! The service was chaotic, and we had to ask for drinks several times. Paying the bill with the grumpy owner was rushed and unfriendly. We'll never go back. Better with the neighbors across the street, LOETJE 🤣

We hebben hier mihoen Singapore en Peking eend besteld. De mihoen was niet geheel lekker op smaak. Het vlees van eend had een leversmaak. Al met al het was matig. De nagerechten scroppino en ijs met aardbeien en slagroom waren goed. De bediening was vriendelijk.

Beware of tourist naps!! Never had such bad and expensive Chinese food. The "Chicken Fried Rice" was boiled rice with bell peppers. Zero seasoning, zero fried food, no other vegetables in it, you had to hunt for the meat. My dish was "Chicken with Nuts." Completely unseasoned, lots of slimy sauce, and no rice. I had to order and pay for it separately. For these two measly dishes, I was charged €49. Unbelievable!!! Many dishes are just meat with sauce (no vegetables). If you want vegetables, you have to order them as an extra dish for €18(!). Poor value for money, and we didn't like the taste. We wouldn't recommend it!

A wonderful meal on a lovely terrace. It's a shame there was a band playing. But the seating is wonderful. The food is perfect, and the service is fantastic. Just like being at home.

A traditional Chinese-Indonesian restaurant in a surprising location, just what you'd expect. Excellent food, very friendly staff (a very friendly owner), and fast service. They also have a good takeout service: you can order online and pick it up there.

Sehr ansprechendes und stilvolles Ambiente mitten in Bergen. Dass Essen schmeckt hervorragend, wirkt frisch zubereitet, die Auswahl ist ausreichend: ein Punkt Abzug für das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, das aus unserer Sicht nicht angemessen ist.

The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right! Far too expensive for the quality. Crispy duck - yes, but with cartilage, no vegetables, just sauce and rice. My girlfriend had vegetables and chicken. Absolutely no seasoning and canned mushrooms. Mushrooms, awful. Sorry guys, giving out ready-made products for that much money is completely unacceptable. Any Asian restaurant in a small takeaway shop is better. Change the chef or make the menu smaller, but it's still good. We were annoyed. The presentation was also rather poor. It's a feast for the eyes.

Food was just/reasonable, but expensive for what you get. When our bill turned out to be incorrect, more was charged than we had ordered, we expected an apology, but we were met with an unfriendly, suspicious manager. In short: check your bill before you pay.

Yes, we vacation in Bergen once a year. It's the best Asian restaurant. Everything is always perfect, thank you so much.

This has to be the worst Chinese food that I’ve ever eaten in my life. Everything tasted off or just plain gross. Even the fried rice was bad, which is very impressive because it is the most simple dish. I used to order from here several years ago, and the food quality was definitely a lot better. I don’t know what happened, but it is simply inedible now

If you really want Chinese food, this is not the place for you. The portions are small and expensive, the nasi for which you pay 3.50 extra is simply white rice with a pea and a carrot stirred through it, the Chinese mushrooms in the vegetable dish were sometimes still hard so not properly soaked, the tjauw mein was just babipangang, the only tasty thing was the Chinese tea. The chef in this restaurant is definitely not Chinese or simply cannot cook. The service is very nice.

Best Chinese restaurant in the Netherlands and surrounding areas. Nothing is too crazy here. Especially when you order outside the menu, there will be surprise after surprise, and they also have a very extensive wine range. We will definitely come back here again. Highly recommended.

We have been coming to Bergen for many years. During this time, the Oude Prins has unfortunately continued to deteriorate. As the prices rose, the portions became smaller and the food overall became worse. The price-performance ratio is no longer right at all. It's a shame, but we probably won't eat at Oude Prins again in the future.

Both had a delicious tenderloin dish with crispy fresh vegetables, one with noodles and the other with red Thai sauce, and tomato soup beforehand. Soup as it should be, but could have been a little more. Sparse is not the right word, but measured. Scanty did apply to the nasi that I took (+ 3.50 extra compared to the standard rice that you otherwise get), the bowl was only 2/3 filled while the rice bowls were filled to the brim. All in all a delicious meal, but for those prices it could all be a little more.

My wife's family has been going here for over 30 years.. Unfortunately I have to agree with our neighbour's table (who complained to the chef). The flavors are wrong and the food is not at the level we were anticipating.. please read this team,you have something awesome,but we're only visiting the one time this Summer:(

Super delicious food, top restaurant!

Nice, clean place. Friendly service. Had some lunch. What a disappointment! Tomato soup delicious! Nasi tasteless, satay tasteless, fried too hard, didn't come off the stick, left it alone. Well, okay, mediocre. Chicken curry, with the 2nd bite a bone of more than a centimeter in my mouth. What do you mean, chicken fillet.....after that you won't be hungry anymore, you won't eat well. Excuse me, excuse me, but pay for everything. Offer something, but this is simply not possible. Won't be coming back, too bad.

Tastiest Babi Pangang in years!

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Eten is prima, ossenhaas en babi pangang, goed heet ook. Teveel keuze misschien.

Found it a bit disappointing dinner. Patties were laid out bare on a plate with sauce in a container, no further dressing. In my opinion, the Peking Duck was fried for too long and was on the tough side. The takeaway around the corner does it better and more beautifully presented. The most disappointing dish was the dessert. The menu says fruit compote, but what I got was not compote but regular pieces of fruit, which don't match, with whipped cream. Maybe the chef should google what exactly a compote is. The only real plus was the service, which was friendly and knowledgeable.

In januari een keer uitgeprobeerd. We hadden het verrassingsmenu. Vooraf werd gevraagd waar onze voorkeur naar uit ging en aan de hand daarvan kregen we een aantal gangen geserveerd met bami en nasi. Het eten was heerlijk en de bediening super. Maar ik ben eigenlijk best wel teleurgesteld. Het menu kost 52,50 pp. Je krijgt echt wel eten van een uitstekende kwaliteit, maar als er gevraagd wordt of je extra bami of nasi wil en je moet daar extra voor betalen vind ik jammer, is niet nodig. Een ster minder hiervoor.

Prettige bediening, ik vroeg de aardige man wat we moesten eten en hij gaf ons een paar tips. Peking eend vooraf en garnalen toast, heerlijk, Daarna hadden we 2 ossenhaas gerechten, ook verrukkelijk. Deserts ook prima. Al met al voor ons een 9. Een 10 geef ik nooit. Misschien 1 aandachtspuntje. De pekingeend flensjes hadden wat mij betreft wel iets gevulder mogen zijn. Maar al met al, voor herhaling vatbaar.

Zeer vriendelijke bediening, geen poeha en gewoon lekker eten. Van de voorgerechten vonden we de pannenkoekjes met Peking eend het allerlekkerst!

I ordered a vegetarian spring roll and my neighbor ordered a regular spring roll. After 3 bites I discovered that they had exchanged the spring rolls and so I was eating meat. Very annoying! After we reported this, there was little adequate response, very customer unfriendly! The food was also fine and pure in taste.

lange, lange, waren wir nicht mehr hier zum chinesischen essen. nachdem wir aber von vielen freunden und bekannten gesagt bekamen das der oude prince tolle authentische küche hätte it dim sum, wan tan und peking ente habe wir heute es ausprobiert. leider war es so sehr enttäuschend das ich auch zu dem kleinen chinesen in essen um die ecke gehen kann um das typisceh konvidiemz essen der chinesische küceh zu erbalten. garnelen wan tan aus der tüte tiefgefroren leider weder bastdampflorb noch eine altenative soße - sweet chilli sauce fast für jedes gericht. frühlingsrolle fritiert und auch konvidienc. aber das absolut schlechteste war die vom restaurant genannte peking ente. diese hat mit chinesischer oekingente mit blinies und gemüse süsser pflaumensauce nix zu tin. das war klassische chinesische einheitsente die ok war vom geschmack dazu gebratener reis der die bratpfanne kurz angetestet hat und weder gebraten noch schmackhaft war. schade es bleibt halt der chinese der er auch von 10 jahren war. ok der jamin tee war lecker. von 5 sternen gene ich einen halben für die nette bedineung. aber chinesisches essen was wir suchen authentisch und lecker lebevoll vorbereitet hat hier nix verloren. essen wiemimmer bei den meisten chinesen ….. entäuschend !

Een hele goede chinees , lekker eten kwaliteit is perfect eigenaar is top ik woon in Nijmegen maar als ik in noord holland ben eet ik hier het liefst iedere dag.

Keuze voor nasi ipv witte rijst bij een gerecht is 2,60 extra ....ik ben gewend aan 1 euro extra...eenvoudig plastic tasje kost ook 1 euro extra..

Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt, was uns ein gutes Gefühl gab. Jedoch kann ich für diesen Preis in unserem chinesischen Imbiss besser Essen. Der Geschmack vom Gemüse und Soße war okay , ...aber das Fleisch war so sehnig und Fett , dass ich es teilweise wieder auf den Teller zurückgeben musste.

The best Chinese restaurant experience

I don‘t want to be too critical, the athmosphere was nice and the service was good, but the food wasn‘t. The tomatosoup was very sweet, the crispy beef wasn‘t crispy and the the slices of duck in pancake was cold. Maybe they had a bad day.

Fijn gegeten en geweldige service

Te lekker! Geen babi pangang maar heerlijke hippe gerechten! Vlees en vis..super garnalen! Geweldige attente bediening! En eh...JUIST de babi pangang is superlekker kwam ik onlangs achter!

Lediglich Speisen abgeholt. Das machen wir bereits seit Jahren immer mal wieder, wenn wir in Nordholland Urlaub machen. Das Essen ist gut bis sehr gut und samt Service absolut empfehlenswert. Die Preise sind dazu noch in Ordnung. Parkmöglichkeiten gegen Bezahlung in der Nähe sind vorhanden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Laten bezorgen voor een verjaardag/ groot gezelschap. Echt heel erg lekker, keurig op tijd en goed geholpen met het kiezen van de gerechten!

Personal sprach fließend Deutsch, englisch und niederländisch. Die Speisekarte war auf deutsch und niederländisch. Die Speisekarte war etwas unübersichtlich. Das Personal war jedoch sehr hilfsbereit und wir haben am Ende gut und lecker gegessen.
