Had a delicious meal, a Bali steak. With wonderful gravy and white bread. And a delicious Loetje white beer on tap. Truly delicious. Loetje dessert was also delicious. Plus very friendly staff and a super beautiful location. Will definitely come back again.

A very nice place in a former warehouse. If you like a rustic atmosphere, this is the place for you. Large selection of steaks, plus burgers. I recommend the Texel beer.

Enjoyed it immensely, everything was perfect, the homemade lemonade is the icing on the cake!

We ate vegetarian beef, it was super delicious. People were nice and kind, and the atmosphere was amazing. However, I think the hiring manager should employ more people because the wait time was so long. The existing staff is lovely and welcoming, but they are clearly understaffed for this crowd. Even so, they are doing their best.

Loetje is going downhill! Very high prices, meager portions. Caesar salad with ingredients that don't belong in it. Especially the excessive price-quality ratio. I'm quitting. You guys are "sticking around," they'll come anyway... So not anymore. The formula of restaurants Bouillon proves that it can be done differently... Your "captain's dinner" had to go too... why?

The food was good. It is just quite pricey. And it remains a bit of a large space.

The food was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken satay and the risotto, and both were really good. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. A couple of our orders were forgotten, so we had to order them again. We also found it very strange that we weren’t allowed to take the leftover risotto home, even though almost a full portion was left. It’s a shame because the food itself was excellent, but the service made the overall experience less enjoyable.

26 euros for a veggie steak is a bit crazy, and it's also really, really small.

We really enjoyed the steaks — they were excellent and definitely the highlight of our meal. One suggestion we would really appreciate is having the option to choose between white and whole-wheat bread with the steak. We were disappointed that only white bread was offered, as we believe a whole-wheat option would be a great addition and would give guests a healthier choice. It would also be nice if the quality of the fries could be improved, as they tasted like frozen, pre-prepared fries. Overall, we really enjoyed the steaks and would definitely come back.

Went out for dinner on Saturday, August 29th, with my daughters and my grandson, who is almost 2. I can only say what a beautiful building, very atmospheric, super friendly staff, and delicious food! Highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Thank you for this fantastic evening. ❤️

A stunning Loetje location with a terrace by the water. We have had delicious meals here several times, and every time the service has been impeccable. Here, you are still treated with old-fashioned hospitality as a guest. The manager also always makes time for a chat.

We had a super beef captio and a delicious XXL Bali steak with all the trimmings; truly top-notch. Compliments to the chef, wait staff, and management Mr. F Fluit. We were received and served wonderfully, and this is highly recommended for enjoying delicious food made with passion and love. Thank you, and until the next round, we say. 👍👍👍👍.

We arrived an hour before closing time and they weren't exactly eager to help us, repeating every time that "yes, you only have an hour," even though we didn't want to sit down for a long time; we just wanted to eat a quick steak, nothing more. The waiters really wanted to go home...

Beautiful historic place, delicious food, and good portions. Unfortunately, my son suddenly fell ill, which is completely unrelated to the food. The way the staff reacted was so sweet and understanding. I found that truly exceptional. Thank you for that.

Loetje is of course known for its steak, so as a vegetarian I was a bit hesitant. Unjustifiably so, because I ate one of the best veggie burgers ever at Loetje Delft! Hats off to them!

Great restaurant in Delft, conveniently located near the city center and the Town Hall. The beautiful canal-side setting makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The portions are very generous and absolutely delicious, and the staff are polite, attentive, and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a pleasant lunch in Delft.

I really like the sauces with the steaks. Unfortunately, it took longer than an hour to receive them. After just over half an hour, our server had already noticed this herself, after the tables around us (who had arrived/ordered later) received their food earlier. She indicated that the order hadn't come through properly, took it back, and said she would pass this on to the kitchen urgently. After about another half hour, it turned out that the kitchen had ignored the urgency to avoid confusion, which resulted in us ending up at the back of the queue. When paying, I mentioned this, to which the server replied that she was aware of the situation and would remove 2 ice teas from the bill. It is up to you whether you find this reasonable; personally, I found it very sloppy, and I didn't think the compensation was actually very reasonable considering the price of the food and how long we had to wait. The food itself wasn't very special. Basic ingredients and preparation method, though super tasty, so I would have found it worth the money without this situation.

Tasty, but slightly less impressive compared to Loetje Binckhorst. The fries weren't that good and the juice was gone after just one slice of bread. The location is magnificent.

Thoroughly enjoyed a perfect steak (better than at other locations) on the wooden deck terrace by the canal. Friendly service and the weather was perfect as well. Definitely worth repeating on a future visit to Delft.

The food is delicious, quite expensive though, but it is well worth it; I have never eaten such a tasty steak anywhere else. It is just always a shame when you are sitting comfortably on the terrace and your appetite is ruined by people who start smoking.

The food it’s good in general, portions are good, the waitress was nice, but it took way long between meals to arrive, we also waited long to get the dessert menu and even more to receive it. One of the waitress drop some drinks next to us and they didn’t clean it the whole couple hours we were there. Bit pricy for the type of food you’re getting.

We ate here for the second time, and for the second time, the reception was quite peculiar. The first time, on a stunningly beautiful sunny evening, I decided to go to Loetje with the kids to eat on the terrace… We were informed, indifferently, that it turned out to be closed. So there we sat in a dark corner on a sunny evening. There was absolutely no empathy whatsoever. The second time, we were “allowed” (forced) to take a seat at a sort of bar table. There were plenty of nicer, empty tables with upholstered benches. After politely asking if we couldn't sit there, we were told no because they were “reserved.” No one came. Of course, a spot might not be available, but what bothers me most is that there is absolutely no willingness to try and find a suitable table; you just get a notification and a mandatory table. We were also often asked if we wanted another drink while our glasses were still full, which was also quite remarkable. The food is always tasty, but the service is simply not warm at all.

We had dinner at Loetje Delft and it was a great experience. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was served reasonably quickly and the famous steak was nice and tender. The fries and salad completed the dish. The restaurant was busy, which made it a bit noisy at times, but that is part of the experience. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality is good. All in all, a nice place to go out for dinner. We would definitely come back again if we are in Delft.

A very nice place, contemporary and minimalist. The service was attentive and adequate. We asked for sauce on the side, but this wasn't honored. The salad was a bit disappointing: oxidized carrots and very little salmon. Not entirely convinced, but acceptable.

Such a shame, June 19, 2026, we were at Hotel Arsenaal, a wedding the day after. We thought we'd give Loetje a try. We're crazy about tenderloin ourselves. Anyway, we were standing there waiting for someone to show us to a table, eventually walking inside after 10 minutes until we saw the staff. Okay, that can happen when it's busy. My husband ordered the classic tenderloin, 195 grams, I ordered the "regular tenderloin." My husband received two small, ping-pong-sized balls of tenderloin, completely cooked through; mine was medium-rare but so tough!!! And believe me, we know what tenderloin is! We both ordered fries; the waiter asked if it could be in one portion, fine, but then don't put it on top of the mayonnaise 🙈. The vegetables consisted of green bell pepper and the occasional zucchini. The waiter asked if everything was to our liking, well, no, the solution was to put my husband's tenderloin back in the pan! Well no, he had been lying in there for too long. We wanted to pay, but the gentleman was irritated because we didn't want to order dessert. So all in all, not recommended.

The best steak ever in a restaurant. No regrets that I had the smallest one, because the fries, salad with bacon bits, and white bread for the tasty gravy were also superb. Nice terrace too. It was an Albert Heijn deal.

On Father's Day, my daughters took me to Loetje Delft. The service was a bit slow regarding drinks, so I ordered De Roode Waard together with one of my daughters; the other had chicken satay. It tasted fine. But then it happened; we were home and the misery began. I had a massive stomach ache and spent the whole night on the toilet, so I couldn't go to work. When I called my other daughter the next day, who had eaten the same thing, she also had severe stomach pain and had to take stomach protectors. Not good, is it? I just got food poisoning there. You won't see me there anytime soon.

The food was tasty, as is well known, but not top-notch. The service, especially upon arrival, was extremely unfriendly. Moving a table to seat our kids together turned out to be impossible. The people inside were nice, though. Incredibly beautiful location, just a shame that Loetje is there.

We had made a reservation and were given a table by the water. A nice spot, we were satisfied. We sat there for a while when she came to tell us we had to move; the seats we were offered were not nice, so we went inside. There, we were shown to another seat that did not appeal to us. The food is good, but the staff does not think along with the customer.

The food was not bad, but the service was the worst. The weather was hot and I was kind of suffering, I requested to sit inside, however, I was denied saying that area was closed. It was ok till then. The lady who was supposed to be helping the table showed us another area which was open which was even warmer as it had glass ceiling and had a green house effect. When I mentioned that this area is even warmer all of a sudden the staff said, "I cant do anything about it, I cant change the weather". As much as the comment was true, it was the absolutely uncalled for. I didnt even nag to give me a seat in the closed area and was walking out. She chose to be mean unnecessarily and the way she spoke was extremely demeaning. It was absolutely unnecessary and I felt so unwelcomed that I wanted to walk out. Given the fact that I had already placed the order and the fact that I have my manners and decency in place, I chose to sit and finish my meal. Due to this bitter experience I couldn't even enjoy the meal. It's sad that for few rude employees the whole review gets bad and they end up losing customers. I must end the review by saying each of the remaining staff were excellent and friendly. It was one rotten apple which was spoiling the whole basket. Unfortunately I couldn’t catch her name to be specific.

You go to Loetje to eat a delicious steak, even at lunch. The Bali steak was perfect, just a little spicy without being over the top. The side dish of fries was a generous portion made from real potatoes, delicious. The XL steak is quite pricey, though. My table companions ate bread dipped in the gravy from their steak. I think an option for healthier bread, a nice whole wheat instead of slices of standard white bread, would be an area for improvement.

We were looking forward to a nice evening. Instead, there was an animal crawling on my food. Even more infuriating, however, was the service. The plate was cleared away with an "Oh," there was no apology, no one came to the table to ask if I wanted something else... when we asked for the bill, the server said: "We've removed the dish with the animal from the bill." That was it. Never again.

Lived across this place for years, finally tried it, and it did not disappoint! First of all, the interior of this particular Loetje location is fabulous, it used to be an old weapons/munition storage unit.The service is quick and friendly, and the steak was amazing (as expected). For any vegetarians/vegans I would also highly recommend the beyond steak, Would definitely come back here!

A delicious treat Loetje Delft is a very nice restaurant. A fantastic location. In good weather, you can enjoy sitting outside, but it is also pleasant to be inside the old Arsenal. The service is very friendly and efficient. And the food is top-notch. We both had the meatball with a delicious gravy that paired very well with the beautiful brown bread. We were served mayonnaise and mustard, but the meatball didn't need them. We sat in the covered section. It wasn't full, but when it is, the acoustics are such that you have to speak loudly. In the other part of the interior, that seems less the case to me. I don't consider this a downside.

Really good steak, a bit of a shame that it was preheated in the oven earlier; you can definitely taste that. But the gravy is tasty, the bread on the side is fine, absolutely recommended. Tip: if you are with 2 or 3 people, 1 portion of fries is more than enough. The same goes for the salad.

The tall bald server was incredibly rude. We went by on our first night in delft and he laughed at us when we asked for a table (then said only reservations were being seated). We made reservations for the next evening on the water and was hoping to enjoy the lovely weather outside. The same server shrugged and said the inside was busy and they wouldn’t be opening the outside. His rudeness spoiled the evening.

Had a lovely dinner for my birthday, delicious steaks as always. The only downside was the drinks not flowing properly, which the waiter had to chase up every time.

I arrived on a lovely sunny afternoon at 4:00 PM, and then the manager came in and said he was closing the terrace at 4:00 PM. His reason: we are open all day. As if I'm going to drink beers on the terrace at 10:00 in the morning. Worthless place.

Had a delicious steak; found it a bit pricey, but that's just how it is these days. We only had one drink per person and steak with some fries and salad for €35 per person.

It took a long time today before we could order our first drink; it wasn't necessary! New price list with 3 versions of steak size, with the XL Bali for a whopping €38.50. I think that's quite pricey. But ........... the steak was really very good again 👌 April 2026: fortunately the price has gone up again. Just check the online price list because it is quite large. 2-5-24: well, I already thought the price was quite high, but now even €39.50 for an XL Bali is really getting crazy! I don't know if I think it's worth it ‼️

Tasty steaks, fish, and side dishes. Not amazing, but just good. Tip: order the sauce separately so you can choose how much sauce your steak swims in, as it is a lot by default.

On March 14, we dined at Loetje Delft with two couples. We did not like the table we were offered. Another table was offered without any problems. Anne, our waitress, did a great job; she was cheerful and professional. Part of our party had grown up where Anne was also from. Because of this, we clicked very well. We will definitely be back. The food was exquisite.

We visited Loetje in Delft on Saturday evenings for the last 2 weekends: The food was delicious, the staff friendly, but serving the main course took a very long time, namely 1 hour and 15 minutes. The long wait has ensured that we will not be dining at Loetje again for the time being.

The food is delicious. The only difference is that the main course was very long; we've already been waiting an hour after our starter.

Had dinner in Delft with my son. Unfortunately, we had a very long wait for dinner. We were seated at 5:45 PM and the appetizer arrived immediately, but the food didn't arrive until around 7:30 PM. The waitress asked us if we wanted a drink because it was taking so long, but in the end, the drinks were included on the bill, even though we had already waited so long for our food. There was also a hair in the fries, which even ended up in my son's mouth. That was, of course, very annoying. All in all, a disappointment, especially since the restaurant offered no compensation whatsoever. I don't know if I'll eat here again.

The food was great, but unfortunately, we found a hair in the sauce. The waitress went to get help, but after waiting 10 minutes, it still didn't arrive. Finally, they offered us a drink back. A rather meager solution, I said... Instead of a drink, a bottle of water was taken off the bill. I never give bad reviews, but this treatment really upset me. Definitely not the kind of service you'd expect when dining with your whole family.

Great Loetje. Service, food, everything top class

Hospitality: there's still a lot of room for improvement. The waiter who first served us wasn't exactly the face you'd expect. Disinterested, curt, and unclear. We weren't even given the right thing (the wrong drink and the wrong juice). Towards the end of the evening, during dinner, we were already asked if we wanted to order dessert, and 10 minutes later, the bill was already next to our plate. This could certainly have been done differently. Then the food. The beef carpaccio was served too cold. A shame, but otherwise good. The steak with juice was delicious. Nothing to complain about. I understand that's why people go to Loetje. But for the experience, hospitality, and conviviality, I recommend everyone to look elsewhere. For us, this visit to Loetje was a one-off.

I came for the steak. I've chosen the spicy one medium rare. Steak was perfectly prepared and tasty, but when arrived to my table, steak was a bit colder than I expected it to be.

The food itself was delicious... We had a reservation for 8:15 PM and waited about half an hour before we could order. This isn't a big deal, but when you get the bill at 10:10 PM, you have to pay because we're closing in 5 minutes, that's not okay! The wine wasn't even finished yet, and we had to order coffee (the bar's last round). Loetje Delft, we're not used to this at other Loetje restaurants.

After a movie at the Pathé cinema, it was just a short walk to Loetje. You'll be welcomed in the historic building, the former Delft armory. The building has been carefully restored and tastefully decorated. The acoustics are good, and the chairs and benches are comfortable. After a starter, we enjoyed the classic steak with bread and gravy. The chicken liver and vegetables were a delicious accompaniment. A fitting wine recommendation rounded out the meal. In short, good food.

Too expensive for what you get. Lots of fat, lots of salt, and it's absolutely ridiculous that there are no vegetables or potatoes with the main course. For two, three courses for 155 euros.

We had to wait briefly at the entrance to be shown to our table, and then we were completely pampered. All the wait staff, including the kitchen crew, made our stay enjoyable and delicious!

The food was delicious. I made an online reservation for four people in the afternoon for an 8:15 PM table. At 9:30 PM, we were asked if we wanted dessert because the kitchen was closing. Very strange, because the last reservation you can make on a weekday is 9:15 PM. It was all very rushed. A shame. And then the waitress asked, "Do you want your change back?" If I want to tip you, I'll give it myself.
