Just got 2 pastrami sandwiches. The staff is friendly but it was simply inedible. I asked for extra sauce even though there wasn't even any sauce on the sandwich. 30 euros straight into the bin, never again for us.

Unfortunately, I feel the service is declining. We were not allowed to eat on the terrace, and otherwise everything was reasonable, but nothing special for the price you pay.

Had a really delicious and fun meal here. The service was top-notch. A nice introduction to Loetje. Had a lovely steak lunch using an AH voucher. This Loetje is highly recommended.

I had heard a lot about Loetje. Now I finally went to eat there. And it was delicious. I have never eaten such a tasty steak. This is definitely worth repeating.

The food is very tasty, but that is about it. The place feels like a crowded dining hall with very small tables and staff that are unfriendly and constantly walk past you. Zero peace.

We ate a very tasty beef fillet. Butter-tender, perfectly cooked, and with a delicious classic gravy. Unfortunately, my wife's risotto was so dry you could turn it into a rice cracker. The desserts, however, made up for it.

After having eaten so deliciously at various Loetje locations, you assume it would be the same again. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Steaks completely overcooked; mine had a hard, black edge. Loetje de Waard had 1.5 chicken livers, 2 slices of bacon, and some undercooked onions. Just like the small bowl of fried onions that was ordered separately. All in all, incredibly disappointing!!! Which has led us to decide never to go to Loetje Zeist again.

After years of being "influenced," we went to Loetje Zeist. To try the famous steak with gravy and bread there. But we were sorely disappointed. The steak itself was okay, but I’ve made better steak at home. The gravy was simply greasy and tasteless, and on top of that, you get white bread to soak up the fat. For us, this was the first and also the last time at Loetje.

What a perfect terrace by Zeist standards. Fast service and I ate a perfect, delicious risotto! I will be back...

Loetje. A Dutch comfort food. Great service, and very good as usual. I cannot give 5 star only because the portion are very small for the price and the 1.5 size steak (tha costs more than 30 Euro) was really a beef mignon and 1/2 (2 pieces… very small). BTW no doubt on the quality except that the meat was slightly overcooked while the liver a bit undercooked (blood trace that for liver in not really desirable). BTW I’ll return. Loetje will never disappoint.

We went to eat at your restaurant full of anticipation, but we were so disappointed. We ate a small steak and mussels. Both the steak and the mussels were tasteless; the steak was tender, but that is about all there is to say about it. They sell the same ones at Aldi. The mussels were served in the cooking liquid, which was also quite tasteless—the waitress called it the sauce—but there was nothing else with it, not a nice dipping sauce. We used the mayonnaise from the fries to try and add some flavor. It was a huge disappointment for us. Moreover, a couple sitting next to us was smoking the place out. A designated smoking area would be a solution here as well.

Once again, good and well-presented food. Friendly service. In short, highly recommended.

Nice to see this fairly new location for a change, for which I always handle the orders at work (FTG). Extremely friendly staff and, as always at Loetje, delicious food.

It looked just like a waitress was running a race, even though it wasn't even that busy. She ran through the restaurant; power walking was nothing compared to it. Very unpleasant, and it gave us a rushed feeling. We asked for a straw, waited 10 minutes for it, and eventually just got one ourselves. The steak was tasty, but the salad was swimming in sauce. Loetje Zeist did not meet our expectations. The price-quality ratio is disproportionate. Very disappointing… Normally we never write a review, but this was worth one.

The service was dramatic. They forgot Loetje's iced tea. The tomato soup was just like ice lemonade and the wrong steak.

The Garlic Gravy could be more garlicky. Other than that, very good steak!

The difference between Loetje in different cities is huge. My advice to Loetje Zeist... call your colleagues from other branches to learn how to deal with customers. Apparently, it is only allowed to use a two-person table for two people, even though the place is practically empty and hardly any new guests are arriving... consequently, you end up sitting at a small table piled high with side dishes you can't fit... no next time.

This is a great place for a nice dinner, and you certainly won't go home hungry. Naturally, the dishes aren't exciting, but straightforward and of high quality. We indicated in advance that we needed to leave on time for our next place, and this was taken into account perfectly. The service was top-notch and delivered with a smile.

As good, new neighbors, we decided to go eat at Loetje. Full of anticipation, we sat down at a {too} small table and were greeted kindly by the staff. We ordered, among other things, 2x Tenderloin Steak {without gravy} at € 26.- each.... If this is supposed to be Tenderloin Steak........., it is simply Bullet...... The quality is absolutely not in proportion to what is offered. Upon inquiring with the staff, I was told that there was a new supplier for the meat........ My advice is to go back to the old supplier very quickly, because with this quality, Loetje in Zeist will not last much longer, and that is a shame because it is a beautiful, atmospheric establishment with an equally beautiful terrace. It is the same here as with so many establishments nowadays: lower quality for a much too high price. So this was our first and also our last visit to a restaurant that has completely lost sight of quality........

The food was exquisite. All five of us enjoyed the steak with salad. The staff were attentive and helpful. Advice regarding no-smoking agreements on the terrace in 2026. We were smoked out by someone sitting next to us who was vaping. A lot of smoke. We were moved, as were two other couples. Unfortunately, the staff were not allowed to say anything about it. After that, we had a delicious meal.

We entered and were helped in a friendly manner. The starter was tasty. We aren't from around here; we go to Loetje often, but this was really so much less than what we are used to. My friend's steak was good, but mine was raw on the inside and had nerves in it. The wait staff didn't come by in between courses to ask how it tasted. Afterwards, I indicated that I had only eaten the edges, which were fine. Then it was passed on, and someone else came by to ask if everything was to our liking, to which I indicated the same thing again. The response was: "Oh, then you should have said that a little earlier, then we could have taken it back." I only wanted to point it out, but the way it was handled afterwards... I know you can't do anything about nerves in a steak. But if you expect/pay for good meat, you are supposed to resolve it properly instead of giving a petty sneer.

Friendly staff, small tables, and mediocre food

This was truly the last time at Loetje ever! So impersonal, so arrogant, and expensive! We ate there with our family and two children; the kids ordered the kids' menu. Literally 14 sticks of fries, a chopped frikandel, three cherry tomatoes, and a small bowl of applesauce for 13 euros! The tuna steak and beef steak Bali were good, but upselling at its finest; the price on the menu was 26 euros. They immediately ask if you want a medium, even though the price on the menu is for a small one. I wanted fries with it, my girlfriend wanted salad, but you get fries and salad for two people. This was truly the last time!

The regular staff were very nice (younger people), but the older managers working there are incredibly mean and bitchy. When I asked for ketchup, the guy with the earring just sighed in response. Sure, Loetje serves fine food, but I have never experienced staff being so rude! We spent at least 400 euros on food, but the man with the earring didn't feel like taking our dessert order—scandalous!

You can tell you're in a 'concept'; in principle, there is absolutely nothing to criticize, yet somehow it feels a bit like fast food plus. But again, basically everything was good. In terms of price, I personally thought it was at the top end of the range. I was there with my children, aged 9 and 13.

We went there for dinner, just the two of us. We both ordered the same thing. For starters, we ended up having the cappuccino. Well, the one from the supermarket is tastier. I also mentioned that it tasted like it had been out of the freezer for an hour prior. After that, steak with fries. You pay extra for the fries. Not the best steak, but a lot better, though a lot of money for such a small piece. Afterwards, we had dessert. That one was actually tasty. Even before we left, we had to go to the toilet. No suspicion, it happens. Driving home was like a rally because we had to make it to the toilet on time. I had stomach pain for days afterwards and the toilet paper went through extra fast. I informed the restaurant and they said we would be called back. I am still waiting for it. You pay a lot of money for not much food, and we were both sick. Never again Loetje for me. Terrible place.

Just had a lovely dinner at Loetje with the family. It was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday evening, but despite that, we were served incredibly well, friendly, and quickly by Mireille. She was cheerful, attentive, and thought along with us where necessary. Very nice. The dishes were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The chicken, a special, deserves a permanent spot on the menu; it was so good. I had the classic steak myself, and that was a real treat too. But good service is what really completes an evening like this, and that is exactly what we got.

Great food. I especially loved my calf's liver with onions and bacon, something you rarely find on the menu at restaurants. My wife had the Loetje steak with gravy. I thought the gravy was a bit much, but the flavor was good. Perhaps you could serve that separately so you can decide how much gravy is enough for you, combined with offering other sauces. It's also great that you can order side dishes separately, rather than having them included as standard. This prevents waste.

Simply the best place for meat in Zeist. Perfect.

The food was on the pricey side, especially since you have to buy all sorts of extras like vegetables and fries. And I'm used to better food. I was asked twice for a dessert menu, which I accepted, but I didn't get. Sorry, but I won't be back.

We had a delicious meal, served by a very friendly and attentive young lady. Some people could learn a thing or two from this. The only minor drawback: the kitchen was a bit noisy. Thank you for the delicious food and the lovely evening.

Tuesday evening, after working out, a steak dinner with my brother seemed like an excellent plan. We arrived at 8:10 PM to a half-empty restaurant and were allowed to "pick our own table." We chose a cozy round table, but that pleasure lasted exactly one minute: it turned out to be a table for four and therefore off-limits. I glanced around—half empty, as mentioned—and asked if this was really a problem. The answer: "Yes, this is protocol." Further discussion was not welcome, empathy was nonexistent, and the conversation was abruptly cut off in public. We decided this was our cue to leave. As we left, we received an enthusiastic "See you later!" waved goodbye, in a tone that suggested otherwise. Immediately afterward, we called De Pandarve at 030 692 5466, where protocol thankfully takes a back seat to hospitality. The result: a delicious meal and a fantastic evening! A tip from a former hotelier: protect your manager—or let her go. This marriage is creaking at every turn, and unfortunately, several reviews confirm that impression. It's a shame, because it could have been so different.

Yesterday I was here with a friend who was visiting from abroad. I wanted to introduce her to the traditional drinks, something to drink, and some Dutch snacks. Upon arrival, I politely asked if we could sit at a high table because I had an online appointment after the drinks and needed some privacy. Naturally, we planned to stay for a drink. Unfortunately, the employee was very unfriendly. This isn't the first time I've had a negative experience here, but I hadn't filed a complaint before and decided to give the place another chance. Unfortunately, I noticed that the staff isn't well-trained in customer service. This was my last visit. I wanted to take my friend to a "good place," but we left disappointed by the poor treatment.

We went to this Loetje branch today. What a terrible experience! We walked in and asked if they had a table for us. The employee said, "Just find a spot" and pointed us in one direction. We found a spot, and then the lovely gentleman came back. "Would you like to sit at a table for two?" We wanted to sit next to each other instead of across from each other, even though the whole place was empty except for one person. What a terrible place, I walked out right away.

As always, we had a delicious steak. It was a huge success in Zeist too!

On Christmas Day, a bit of an unexpected disappointment. We had just been to this location. The place wasn't very warm upon arrival; I was glad I was still wearing a sweater. There wasn't much of an atmosphere and the music wasn't pleasant. The chairs were very uncomfortable, and the tables were barely as small as a tray. The service was very good and fast, although the food wasn't very warm. Ultimately, I went home with a somewhat so-so experience.

Last Christmas, we enjoyed it as a celebration, but this year it was a huge disappointment. It was more like a McDonald's, with tables crammed together to boost the profit model. It was so cramped that the waitress, with her chubby ass, almost fell on my plate. With knife and fork at the ready, I nearly got a steak to go with it. They didn't even ask how it was cooked. I wouldn't go back.

The tables were a bit too close together and lined up like a classroom. Perhaps this was to accommodate the Christmas Eve crowds, but it struck me.

We had a delicious meal: smoked salmon, tenderloin steak, and the snowball. I did have a stomach ache the rest of the evening, probably from the fat. We had a reservation at 7:45, but they didn't ask us what we wanted to eat until 7:30. There weren't enough staff, and around 9:30 he told us they were going to increase the pressure, so if we wanted one last drink, we could still do so now, as they were almost closing. 9:30 is really too early to close. We had a pleasant and delicious evening. It was quite pricey, though, and I've never experienced that before, and you have to pay extra for side dishes.

I've eaten here twice now. I made reservations twice, but they weren't seated. I had to wait over half an hour both times. The staff is a bit curt and seems in a hurry. I'd rather go to another location.

Just keep it simple: a good old-fashioned Dutch steak, delicious with gravy and white bread. Nothing to complain about! I wouldn't go to Zoetje for lunch because it's not very busy and cozy. Delicious food, excellent service. Well worth it.

The food was excellent! Starter: shrimp croquettes, carpaccio with truffle sauce, and steak tartare. Main: Balinese steak, classic steak, and garlic steak. Sweet potato fries and regular fries. Dessert: coffee, crème brûlée, and passion fruit-mango dessert. Everything was at the perfect temperature, a good portion size, and very flavorful. I loved that I tasted the vanilla seeds in the crème brûlée! The service was good; they came by frequently to check on us. Fortunately, the music wasn't too loud, so we could hear each other without shouting. The only minor complaints were that we were a bit cramped and it took quite a while for our next course to arrive.

Lunch with a friend who ordered the "uitsmijter" (fried bread with fried eggs): preferably with a broken yolk. It came with whole yolks. I had the "12-o'clock snack." Cold soup that was quickly heated in the microwave: unpleasant, much too thick (due to flour slurry or something), a nasty mess. Country bread: worthless, thin "supermarket" slices. Lukewarm croquette. Not worth repeating.

Fantastic evening at Loetje Zeist with friends. High-quality food, warm service, and the eternally cheerful Angela keeping everything running smoothly (even with Princess Lucy the chow chow deciding the seating plan—slide in!). I had a chicken satay the size of a children's menu. The chicken was overcooked, making it less tender. It was a tough piece of meat. There was just enough satay sauce on the chicken. So you can forget about dipping the prawn crackers in the satay sauce. Price: €20. The carpaccio was a few slices of thinly sliced ​​meat with a small amount of salad and a tiny bit of dressing on top. The white edges were visible on the plate. Cost cutting? We therefore asked for extra olive oil just to be able to eat it. It looked rather sad and definitely not suitable if you're a carpaccio lover. Price: €15.50 When the food was served, we ordered a Coke. We still had to get one when we paid. The young man who helped us was correct, but the service was otherwise chaotic and lacked structure, with everyone busy with everything. If you want a steak, you'll have to pay around €40 (about 300g) if you're a foodie. Even if it were delicious, it's still just a regular steak. A steak costs about €25 to €29 for 150g. We went across the street for dessert. They have delicious homemade ice cream. A bowl of three flavors cost about €5 and made the evening even better. I don't think Loetje will see us here often.

Luckily, I had a good experience here. Loetje Houten is really bad, especially the service. But we were greeted warmly from the start. The lady clearly enjoyed her work, and the young man behind her was also cheerful. The food is okay, but it's really overpriced. It was okay, but I've seen enough of Loetje. The steak, in particular, is very expensive and truly subpar. If you want to eat good meat, I recommend Meat & More or Het Zuiden in Utrecht.

A nice, trendy place, but the food isn't worth the price. One person had already finished eating before the next person got theirs, the waitress was struggling to open a bottle of wine, and the so-called "loetje" bitterballen were lukewarm inside. It was all just not quite right. Not worth going back.

Just the way you want a steak to taste!

Made a reservation for 9:00 PM, kitchen open until 9:30 PM. Paid for parking. When we arrived, the kitchen had already been cleaned. Poor. They should have blocked the bookings. Loetjes in Amsterdam are more welcoming and accommodating. They could learn a thing or two in Zeist. It wasn't full at all; no, give us Amsterdam or Ouderkerk. Too bad. As a long-time Zeist resident, I should have known that hospitality isn't highly valued here.

The steak was covered in fat, and the lettuce was clearly from yesterday or even earlier, completely discolored. The waiter was nowhere to be seen; by the time he arrived, the rest of the table had finished eating. The steak and a drink were taken off the bill, but the lettuce wasn't, because they said it was delivered that way... I'll just have an egg fried at home, sigh.

Good food but the price was on the high side

Had a delicious lunch here with an Albert Heijn voucher. The steak was delicious, medium rare, with garlic jus. Friendly service. The interior looked nice and spacious. The outside was also neat, but I can't lie about the view. It's between apartment buildings at an intersection with rattling traffic lights. But it was delicious!
