The food here is always good, we come here 3 times a year but especially for the red host steak, highly recommended!!!

What a fantastic experience at Loetje! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. The ambiance is stylish and warm, but the absolute highlight was the food. The food is good. The option to fill the plate with gravy isn't to everyone's taste. It's better served on the side, but that's just my opinion.

All of the above is fine, but the prices on the menu are very misleading and antisocial. I'm happy to pay €40 for a steak, but having to buy €5 worth of mushrooms and another €5 worth of onions is ridiculous! Oh yeah... I also have to pay an extra €7 for some fries. It was good, but I'll never go there again. In short... fine dining prices, but it's just not quite right.

The food was delicious, but the ambiance was a bit disappointing. On December 14th, we had lunch and had meatballs with bread. The meatballs were dry and the gravy was burnt. It's a shame.

We've eaten at this Zwolle location several times for over a year now. Unfortunately, the quality isn't the same as in the rest of the Netherlands (or at least much of it). The meat is dry, and the Beef Bali, which we always love, isn't prepared the same way either. Often, there's too little sambal and it's overcooked, so it's more like "well done" than "medium rare." Unfortunately... we like Loetje, and it's close by, but when we feel like it again, we'd rather drive to another location where the quality is good.

It's so beautiful inside now. Nice atmosphere. The food isn't particularly good.

My wife and I always loved going to Loetje, and we've also been there quite a few times in Zwolle/Arnhem/Gorssel. After a very bad experience with Loetje Gorssel, we'd practically given this chain up. (We wrote an extensive review about it at their location. BIZARRE!) Today we gave it another try in Zwolle. We'd had delicious meals there in the past, and they can't help Gorssel's mistakes. We're so happy with Loetje Zwolle! They won us back. We were a bit early but were seated right away. Within 10 minutes, we had our drinks and our order taken. After 20 minutes, we had our food, and it was a real treat. The steaks were a bit crispier than we're used to, but I personally liked that. Actually, there's nothing else to complain about, because everything went exactly as you'd expect! Our waitress was extremely helpful, very polite and clear, and also very quick when we had a question. The food, as I said, was truly delicious. We finished with a delicious dessert and left with a smile on our faces. Loetje Zwolle; Thank you! We would love to come back again (to your location!)

The food was delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. We were shown to a table by the window. Fine, you might think. But it was incredibly drafty, and the neighbors had already complained. The staff told us that unfortunately, nothing could be done about it. That was a bit disappointing. I was cold all evening. When we finished and walked to the exit, we thought, "Wow, it's nice and warm here." So, for future diners, I advise against sitting by the window, especially in the fall/winter. I highly recommend Loetje have someone check it out!

Yesterday, eight colleagues and I dined at Loetje. It was excellent. We all agreed. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and the food was delicious. The restaurant was almost full, especially on a Wednesday evening. A good choice.

Just delicious, what you'd expect. Professional service, nice product... but don't order the 0.0 wine... it's not worth drinking.

I've been there twice. Honestly? The tenderloin steak is fantastically tender. It's simply a good product. But the Bali sauce or onion and liver with sauce is just a plate of grease with waaaaay too much salt. The Bali was, in my opinion, inedible. My body protested strongly after the first bite. Luckily, the wine recommendation was excellent, and I was able to finish it off. All in all, my unvarnished summary is a meat-eating den without any inspiration. If I try to think differently, it's a cafeteria with steak on the menu. I'll definitely never go back. Think before you leap. But give it a try if you have to... We wanted to grab a sandwich. The service was friendly. The food took a very long time to arrive. After a cup of tea and a coffee, I asked when it would be coming. In total, we waited about 40 minutes for two sandwiches (tuna and chicken). I barely ate the chicken. It didn't seem cooked through. But okay, that's my own choice. For what I paid, I wasn't satisfied with the experience. I mentioned this to the staff when I paid. But hey, the damage is already done. So, it's useless. It wasn't busy at all (12-1 p.m.). Maybe the kitchen wasn't open yet, but let me know. If there's one thing I hate, it's waiting without knowing how much longer. The kitchen was playing music, so I was hearing two things at once.

Unfortunately, this evening didn't quite live up to our expectations. The risotto was a bit too salty for my taste and was mostly vegetables and sauce, so I missed the typical creamy risotto flavor. The service was otherwise friendly. The carpaccio appetizer was also delicious.

The 300g steak was probably the weight before it was dry-fried. They don't even ask how you want it cooked (I like it rare to medium-rare), and then that piece of meat arrives bathed in a watery but salty gravy with a very faint hint of garlic. Fries were served as specified (the server asked about them), but not a trace of vegetables. When someone finally came to answer my question, it turned out you have to order those separately. Apparently, the restaurant assumes people can live on overcooked meat, cheap white bread, and fries. Even a small bowl of coleslaw isn't included as standard. Pro: there's plenty of sauce with the fries. Con: no mayonnaise, but fries sauce. This remains a one-time visit to Loetje.

We reserved a table for eight. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of the room, which was quite noisy. Two of us can't handle so much stimulation. We asked if we could sit somewhere quieter. That wasn't a problem and was very well taken care of. It was definitely appreciated. The food and drinks were delicious and well-prepared. We did have to ask for extra serving spoons/forks for the side dishes, but that was also quickly taken care of. We will definitely be back! Fam.Biljard.

This isn't Loetje as it used to be. The original Loetje was exceptional. This one only bears the name... It's not above and beyond your average restaurant.

We dined at Loetje in Zwolle for the second time. This time, the steak was rare instead of medium rare, although we weren't entirely sure at first. When we pointed this out, they confirmed it was indeed a bit too red. Furthermore, the fries came with mayonnaise, even though we'd told them we didn't want it. Unfortunately, there was also a hair in the steak. We didn't mention this until later, because we didn't want to complain, but we finally mentioned it (otherwise, we would have ordered medium next time). The waiter handled it very politely and offered a suitable solution by waiving the dessert charge. Perfect solution!

I had a delicious classic steak tonight – truly divine! It reminded me of the old days, when I used to clean the pan with a slice of bread. It was so delicious here, too. Oh yeah, and the service: such friendly and efficient people. Daniel, in particular, stood out for me. ;)

After our mother's funeral, we had drinks with a group of about 40 people. The discussion itself was already a disaster. If we hadn't double-checked, it would have gone wrong. Nothing was noted. Normally, you cancel, which is anything but professional. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option for us, as it was already printed in the announcement. The drinks themselves were also a disaster. You expect drinks to be ready, as discussed, and to be offered repeatedly. The snacks arrived after half an hour, not after a good hour when several guests had already left. Loetje, or the team on those days, didn't understand, didn't get it, and didn't sense it. Being busy is no excuse. There were no other guests. Such a shame!

The steak at Loetje is always delicious! And that's also true in Zwolle. The restaurant is located in the building of the former Urbana restaurant, just outside Zwolle's city center. Both the decor and location are fine, but they're not among the Loetje brand's top-tier locations. The quality of the food and the service are what you'd expect from Loetje (we had a delicious steak).

The signature dish – the steak in gravy – was truly perfectly prepared: tender, juicy, and exactly as you'd expect at Loetje. The side dishes were also fresh and flavorful. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently high. The service also deserves a compliment. The staff is friendly, attentive, and happy to help. Despite the restaurant being busy, they really took the time to talk to us. Furthermore, the location in Zwolle is ideal: easily accessible, with parking nearby, and close to the city center.

We had a wonderful meal on the terrace! The staff were very friendly. My vegetarian steak (similar to a nice piece of beef stew) was delicious. My partner wanted the gravy on the side, not on the plate. He thought his steak was perfect. He ordered fries, vegetables, and fried onions, which was quite a bit for a picky eater. The mango and passion fruit dessert was more than enough. The service was quick and friendly.

I had a wonderful meal with my 8-year-old son on Saturday night. He was very enthusiastic and enjoyed the delicious steak 🥩 gravy from Loetje, of course. I already knew what to expect because I'd eaten there before with friends. The service was also really good. Usually, I get annoyed by their work ethic or lack of understanding of their guests. The ladies working outside were very attentive to their guests and responded well to their needs. My compliments to the girls 👌 See you next time!

Luckily, we were able to sit outside. Despite the rain, we stayed dry under the umbrella. There were plenty of guests inside, which is already too noisy for me (due to my health). The service was good, and the food, of course, was delicious.

The food was great, even though it's not Loetje in Oud-Zuid. Unfortunately, the waiter dumped a full plate of gravy on my clothes. It happens, of course, but I didn't find it so annoying that they offered me a cup of coffee or something similar for the inconvenience. If I really couldn't get it out, I could fill out a form for the dry-cleaning costs.

U maar iets wat moet lukken de Hamburger! Beste Loetje ook dit krijgen jullie koks “zijn het wel koks” niet voor elkaar. Een vreselijk broodje met droog taai vlees en veel te veel zout (dit maakt jullie een bijzonder ongezond restaurant, zout lees je overal in de reviews. Naast het zout kaal en minimaal opgemaakt maar wel een achterlijke prijs van boven de €19,00. Voor alles wat je extra wil fors bijbetalen. LOETJE SCHAAM JE. Het is simpelweg ruk bij jullie. Veel te duur voor hetgeen jullie serveren, bij de MAC. waren we beter af geweest. Jullie krijgen het maar niet op orde daar in Zwolle. Vanaf nu is er echt niemand meer die mij bij jullie nog over de drempel weet te krijgen.

The steak was cooked well, furthermore I find the ratio for what you get too expensive. Steak swimming in a plate full of gravy with a few slices of casino bread served with it... All other dishes you pay extra. If you order a glass of wine, they ask if you want water with it, I thought that was thoughtful, then it turns out that you also have to pay for a glass of water, absurd. So I was disappointed with everything.

Had a great experience at Loetje Zwolle. The restaurant is spacious and modern, with a relaxed vibe and plenty of parking right outside—which already makes it super convenient. We were welcomed warmly, and our server was friendly, attentive, and spoke excellent English. I ordered the garlic steak (biefstuk Bali-style with garlic) and it was absolutely delicious—tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. That signature Loetje gravy, especially with the garlic twist, is seriously addictive. The bitterballen were a great starter, perfectly crispy and comforting. But the unexpected star? The sweet potato fries. Dip them in the steak sauce and you’ve got a combo that’s hard to beat. Big portions, great service, and a cozy setting. Whether you're here for lunch or dinner, Loetje is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to.

After many good experiences at Loetje in general, we were very disappointed with this lunch in Zwolle. We both ordered a medium (size) steak for which you now pay €29.75. After a long wait we got our food on the table and we almost searched for the piece of meat on our plate. After indicating that we both ordered medium and not small, the answer was short. This is medium. However, we doubted this because we regularly eat at Loetje. My husband's had to be medium/rare and was medium + blown out. Mine had to be medium + and was a well-done tough steak with a hard crust. We indicated this and nothing was done about it, unfortunately! Too bad we had to pay €85 for this. We hope that next time this will be the same as we are used to at the branches.

Voor het eerst bij Loetje Zwolle gedineerd, wij gingen meestal naar Loetje Gorssel maar vonden daar de laatste tijd de bediening niet vriendelijk en stond het eten te snel op tafel dus hadden wij geen uiteten gevoel. Dit was gisteravond een stuk beter werden vriendelijk bedient door Maxime en haar collega’s en hebben weer vertrouwen in Loetje door Loetje Zwolle en Maxime.

Meanwhile, people who came in after us got their food much sooner. We were also not asked what size we wanted, but we had to pay for the largest portion. We were not even asked how we wanted the steak cooked, something you would expect at Loetje. And when the food finally arrived, it was just cold. The fries too. I honestly had the feeling that the waitress did not like us, while she did not know me at all. That feeling made the whole experience even more unpleasant. I eat at Loetje several times a week, all over the Netherlands, and I am not someone who writes a review quickly, but I really wanted to get this off my chest. I have never had such a bad experience. This location? Never again!

Just Loetje as Loetje should be.

The weather was nice, we sat on the terrace. We were allowed to push the tables together. The service was good and the place was also very nice. Maybe 1 minus point for the disabled, it is a bit difficult to go to the toilet from the terrace. There are all stairs. (or I missed the other entrance)

Very mediocre food for the price and beware of Food Poisoning!!! We were anticipating something better as we came across the restaurant via the AMEX gold benefits site. Steaks are overpriced and look sad, drowned in gravy. Not sure if the g indication even matches, as my husband ordered a bigger one, which looked smaller than my regular one. Sides are extra charged, but ok, that was not the worst. At night I got terrible intestinal problems, including fainting and fevers. I suspect the added liver on my steak, since my husband ordered a plain steak and was fine. It was also the only meal we ate that day. Terrible experience, don’t recommend!

The 0.0 steak, which is not meat but vegetarian, is incredibly tasty! The real steaks were also good but that's not that special 😀 It's not clear to me why people like that puddle of gravy the meat is in (dab with white bread, yech haha), but that's personal. It's their trademark so it will be appreciated. Add lettuce and fries, delicious. The salad as a dish was also tasty and quite generous. Lots of beer types, including several 0.0. Fine. Nice sitting outside, large terrace.

The perfect steak, still congratulations

Unfortunately it is becoming less and less, the steak is overcooked, tough and unfortunately less and less than what it was. Loetje seems to be increasingly a victim of their own success and has become too big.

The concept is declining in value. It's starting to look more and more like a food shed. We ordered the Bali steak (without size) and were not asked how we wanted it cooked. We paid 30(!) euros for that, without fries, bizarre. A side of fries costs 7 euros. Extremely long waiting times. The price-quality ratio is starting to be skewed.

Slechte bediening, 30 minuten wachten op nagerechten, dame blanches met (inmiddels) koude chocoladesaus, klacht daarover niet serieus nemen en hautaine houding bij afrekenen (Niek).

Ordered a bouncer and then they indicate that there is no ham. Fine then an extra cheese... you expect it, the cheese is also gone. With a supermarket close by and for such a restaurant, I think this is very bad.

For us it was the first time we got to know 'Loetje'. The steak was very good, perfectly cooked and tender.. But.. Actually I am writing this review for a big 'shout out' to the staff. I rarely come to places where I meet such friendly, smooth, nice, attentive and good/skilled staff! You made our evening complete :)
