A fine restaurant, nothing special, but the service is very slow and you're practically forgotten. It's not unusual to have to wait a very long time for service.

The staff is super friendly and great! Beautiful restaurant. But the food... The rib fingers are just absolutely terrible... they're just soggy sparerib leftovers. The hamburger is just as bad as McDonald's... the burgers are really thin and there's a sticky, stray piece of lettuce on top. The dessert was okay... nothing special. De Beren was great years ago, but not anymore.

Worst quality spareribs ever. It's clear that this store sources its meat as cheaply as possible. It's truly inhumane to dare to charge €30 for this, shame 👎.

Friendly service and delicious food!

We had a wonderful meal last Friday. The spicy (not really spicy, more like sweet and sour) chicken thigh fillet was delicious! I just tried to recreate it. It was also good, but not as good as at De Beren. We sat at a table for two in a row with four other tables. We thought the tables were too close together. We could hear the conversation from the table next to us. My tip is to have four tables in a row instead of five.

A wonderful evening at De Beren Zwolle! Yesterday I went to De Beren Zwolle with my two children and took advantage of the Kruidvat offer: two three-course dinners for the price of one. Highly recommended! From the moment we walked in, we received a warm welcome. Host and owner Erik was incredibly enthusiastic and engaged with his guests, which immediately created a cozy atmosphere. Chef Tijn even came to personally serve the plates – that makes a dinner extra special. The food was delicious and everything was perfectly prepared. We really enjoyed the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It's clear that they work with passion here. In short: a fantastic experience for all ages, with delicious food and top-notch service. You can eat well, the staff is nice

We used to go to Barend en Brutus Beer—back when each restaurant still had its own name and the meat was served on a wooden platter. The name has changed slightly, the tableware has become a bit more conventional... but the meat is still just as delicious! And when we asked for a piece to be cooked "extra rare," something some restaurants find difficult, it was prepared absolutely deliciously.

Nice restaurant, good food and affordable

The food isn't anything special; it's fine, but a bit standard. On the other hand, it tastes great, and the delivery was quick. The somewhat industrial atmosphere is nice, perhaps a bit outdated, but oh well, silly trends, I like going there. Apparently, I always run into a franchisee, Baas, at "the bears," and I enjoy that, a quick chat... the staff is almost always calm and friendly... sometimes, as an older person, I don't feel quite at home with all the young people, but it's not a trendy place for young people to eat, so that's also nice.

The steak wasn't cooked properly; we asked for medium-well, but it was too rare. It was taken away and returned after we'd all finished. It was annoying, and the staff showed little empathy.

We dined with friends and children at De Beren in Zwolle. The food and portions were good, but the service was disappointing. We had to ask several times where our food was, and it took quite a while for everything to arrive. The table also remained littered with empty glasses because few dishes were cleared. It's a shame, because with a little more attention, the evening could have been much more enjoyable.

It was a nice restaurant but you need patience, we had to wait 1 hour for our food and there was no salt on the fries, the food was okay.

We ate here when it was 28 degrees outside. There was no outdoor seating, so we sat inside! Not recommended when it's this hot; it was almost unbearable inside, and I felt sick from the heat! (No air conditioning.) The food was decent, the service could be better; they should have come to the tables more often for drinks. Otherwise, the interior looks good. We wouldn't rush back.

I thought the atmospheer of the restaurant was really fun and beautiful. I was looking around the whole time to see all the decorations there haahahah. We didn’t have a reservation but that is definitely not a problem and this lovely lady lead us to our table. The wait was not long at all, and the food was amazing. The chicken was nice and crispy, the fries were great and the service great also. Overall, very great experience, the chairs were comfortable :) would come again 👍

Just had dinner there. Allowing myself to be tempted by the 3-hang menu. This is because there were different choices in the starters compared to the alla carte menu. However, it was nothing special. The food was tasty, but nothing special. Portions were small/normal. Wouldn't eat there again.

Every time I meet up with my girlfriend in Zwolle (because she lives in Drenthe and I live in Brabant) we don't have to hesitate about where we are going to have dinner. Have had several dishes and everything tastes great. The Goat Cheese Croquettes as a starter are both our favorites!

Deze plek is zeer geschikt om lekker te eten voor een schappelijke prijs. We maakten gebruik van een aanbieding. We hadden vooraf gehoord dat de ervaringen niet zo positief zijn dus waren erg benieuwd. We waren er met 8 personen en alle 8 hebben we erg lekker gegeten. De porties waren groot genoeg en erg lekker. Ook de bediening was goed en prettig in de omgang. Kortom: een prima ervaring en voor herhaling vatbaar.

Stoelen (de meeste) die compleet versleten zijn, eten geserveerd en er word gezegd”eet smakelijk “ terwijl er geen bestek op tafel ligt en vlees wat lauw geserveerd wordt, en patat wat echt niet vers was maar gewoon taai. Have a nice and fun evening out! Very attentive and friendly staff. We asked for another table and got one right away, we were helped quickly, we didn't have to wait long for food or drinks. The food was delicious. The apple crumble is especially recommended! And to top it all off, we had a nice move from the Bears.

Ordered 84 platter, it was ok until we got to the ribs. That was actually disgusting. The flavor wasn't the worst but the ribs had a horrible consistency, like they were boiler or pre frozen. For 45 euros that was honestly horrible.

Friendly and smooth service. Nice meal. The raw vegetable salad with the burger and spareribs had no sauce or dressing, so it was a bit dry and felt a bit cheap. The only pity is that we came especially for the play corner in the restaurant for our children. When I order spicy spare ribs from the charcoal grill, I do not expect cooked spare ribs that are only brushed with chili sauce just before serving. The crispy crust and flavor were missed. The small bowl of tasteless salad was also sad. Delicious food. Due to a GBP, I like to go here because they have dishes to share. This way I don't have to worry about not being able to finish it and 2 dishes are enough. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff is very friendly. Plus nice to combine with a video afterwards because the pathé is next to it.

Didn't get any cutlery. We also had to wait at least 50 minutes before we got food. We ran out of drinks after the starter and were not asked again if we wanted anything else to drink. Waitresses were very rude. The food was tasty, unfortunately I had a bad experience here.

We moesten zelf vragen of we iets mochten drinken na een tijdje gezeten te hebben. Toen het eten kwam was de zalm bruin op de bovenkant gebakken en droog, de snitzel was niet door te komen met een mes. Geen groente erbij die wel op de kaart stond en de patat was taai en allemaal kleine harde stukjes. Toen ik aangaf dat mijn snitzel niet door te komen was kreeg ik een nieuwe van de overigens erg aardige bediening. Helaas was deze niet heel veel beter. Als compensatie hoefde ik deze niet af te rekenen. Dat we erg aardige dames als bediening hadden maakte het veelste dure eten voor deze kwaliteit wel iets goed. Voor ons geen de Beeren Zwolle meer.

Wat slecht. Ze laten je rustig een half uur zitten en komen niet vragen of je nog wat na wilt. Ondertussen die ik mensen uit de bediening voor het raam weglopen naar huis. Is niet de eerste keer dat dit gebeurd. Wat slecht.
