Just good food in a cozy atmosphere

Delicious food. Service was well thought out and gave advice regarding portion sizes. The tournedos is highly recommended! The sweet white wine was also very tasty.

Loft 88 is highly recommended! The atmosphere is always pleasant, the team is always cheerful and the food is also tasty.

Nicely decorated restaurant and good atmosphere. The map is clear and there is a bit of everything. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavors. The tuna tartare and gnochi were very tasty. The service was very good. They regularly came to ask if everything was okay or to request drinks.

Too bad it has become so expensive in just a few months. Too expensive! Also takes a very long time for the food to arrive.

When it is busy it is very noisy. You have to talk very loudly to understand each other. Reserved via website and indicated where we want to sit (3 weeks in advance) When you arrive you will be told that we do not reserve tables. So we were in the middle of all the noise. Very unfortunate!!!

You can alway surprise the birthday child with a cake featuring a magical "candle"in a whipped cream! The majority of the staff members are friendly and attentive. The honesty of the establishment in terms of billing and their commitment to returning lost items is exceptional. I once left my Gucci sunglasses at the restaurant, returned the next day, and was able to retrieve them from the lost-and-found basket within minutes. The values of the restaurant and its staff are truly commendable! 👍 It's always a pleasure to return here, whether for a snack and a cup of tea or for a meal with friends and family. ✨

Food is good. Service is not very fast, when we were put at our table we had to ask for the menu ourselves after fifteen minutes. I have often noticed that there are a lot of staff walking around, but they also often stand in groups chatting while people wait.

My first impression is that it has a homely, atmospheric atmosphere. It was nice to have lunch there, friendly service. You can be served attractively inside as well as outside on the spacious terrace. I will definitely come back here👋🏾

A great restaurant with delicious food!

Stopped for a coffee which was small but worse lukewarm (ditch water). Nice view of the mill.

Waited 32 minutes for coffee and cake. Ridiculous! In addition, we received NO milk, sugar or spoons. The apple pie was stone cold and of poor quality. We received a spoon instead of a fork. What a terrible tent! They clearly can't handle the crowds. And bring a big wallet, because it's not cheap!

Great location, delicious food, absolutely great

We stopped during a business trip and it was a really pleasant break. Friendly and always smiling staff (they speak English), really excellent food, relaxing environment. We also stayed to work with the PC. Really recommended

Beautiful restaurant where you can enjoy a meal indoors and outdoors. This was a little different for us... We had ordered a 'delicious' sandwich with dip in advance. After my first bite of the sandwich, my main course was already next to it. The advantage is that the service could immediately take the bread away again. We had a pizza and a hamburger and from hear say the pizza was very tasty (highly recommended the gorgonzola e pera) the Loft burger, on the other hand, still had a heartbeat. After the staff decided that the heart rate was still a bit too high, new ones would be prepared. There was the LOFT BURGER, finally, the tension was high... I cut the loft burger in half... I immediately regretted giving the bread back to the waiter. The burger looked very tasty but the heartbeat was there again. The service was very good, but the kitchen was a lot less pleasant for me, so I unfortunately walked out hungry.

Lovely place to sit inside or outside! The food is a great price and really good choice and flavour! We went for the lunch menu! The sandwiches were very nice, we do wish that there was the option for the bread to be toasted as well. The burger was also very good and juicy. We sat outside on the terrace and dogs are allowed, we had a beautiful sofa spot by the water. We sat in a table that was free that did have drinks still there, no one removed these, we ordered drinks and they were mentioned but still not removed. The drinks did not turn up, everyone else was ordering and drinks were coming out fast! We ordered food, and asked again for the leftover glasses to be taken and still not. We received our food but still not the drinks, they said that the machine was not working, we then later got our drinks and got a wrong beer, but we were okay with just keeping it and changing the bill for the wrong one. The food overall was really nice, fresh, the time frame of not having drinks for so long was not as great. But we would still come back again!

At first it was 4 stars! See review below. Now they have also replaced the Bundaberg ginger beer with Fever-Tree. Also tasty but a very small bottle 😒 Three⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lovely terrace for a drink and more. Pity that they don't have Ginger Beer ZERO sugar, that would certainly yield a fifth ⭐️.

Sorry, it really wasn't good tonight. Due to the Bad Summer party it was very busy, too busy. Although the staff did their best, it all took a very long time, the hamburger was not well done and the guests, with many children, were very noisy. More like a pancake restaurant. Tip, you can prevent this by limiting the number of guests if there are fewer staff. Now everyone is dissatisfied. Very unfortunate.

Nice restaurant, but terrible chairs. You can't keep that up all evening. As a guest you want to sit comfortably and not on bamboo chairs. Please do something about that.

Super cozy Italian-oriented restaurant with terrace on the water. Had a lovely chat with an old colleague while enjoying a drink and a delicious, well-filled carpassio sandwich.

Orphaned lunch. Bread with croquette was nothing more than that. Two buns with two croquettes and some mustard. No butter, no extra garnish. Delicious, but not a party on your plate. That also applied to the bouncer. Straightforward. Not nicely laid out either. How much effort it takes to make something fun out of it. The eye wants something too!!

Great terrace on the water. It's just a pity that you order an (expensive) specialty beer and they don't even bother to pour it into the glass of that beer!!

Nice tent. We often come here for lunch or just a drink. Had dinner for the first time tonight. And the food was more than good. I had a tournedos and to be honest; Loetje just can't compete with that. Accidentally added the wrong sauce. Can happen and as compensation, a nice cup of coffee. Can I give one point of criticism? Start with a sandwich with some spread and less than 10 minutes later the main course. That's a bit too fast for me. I also saw that at several tables. I like to take the time for a good dinner. For the rest, Toptent!

Had dinner at Loft88 last Monday. The service was nice, we had a lovely seat on the terrace by the water and the food was delicious. The whipped Feta in particular was fantastic, highly recommended.

Amazing place, food and service! After having tasted burgers in several places, I can easily say that this the best one by far!

We ended up here during a bike ride and had a lovely sandwich in the sun on the beautiful terrace. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly. Recommended!

By chance we ended up at their beautiful terrace for lunch. Just on the edge of the old center, in the sun... that's already a big plus. Despite the sudden rush (from the theater), we were quickly provided with a drink. The menu offers a good diversity for every taste, and there is an adapted menu for children. And everything tasted great to us. If the weather is bad there is plenty of room inside, so highly recommended.

Had reserved a table for 7 people. At the window. But we didn't get this because a large group of 26 people came. So we could sit at a high table with high stools. The group of 26 people did not come. But the table remained empty and later other people were seated but not a large group. The food was good, but they don't have a desert menu, but a platter with desserts that you had to choose from, but they don't have ice cream, such as a sorbet. Then we wanted to split the bill, but they couldn't or didn't want to do that because they had had problems with turnover in the past ???. Too bad all this spoils your evening out. Although we had read good reports about Loft 88 here (AD 8.2), the service was very disappointing.

I can't judge the food, but I asked for a menu 3 times and didn't receive it. Furthermore, we sat for 15 minutes without service. Then indicated that we have been waiting for some time and still do not receive a card when we want to get it ourselves. The answer was: yes, we are busy. Then just don't take on new customers. It's a shame that customers are treated this way.

I've eaten here before, but I won't be going again for a while. It is very pleasant for a drink. But you pay restaurant prices for nothing more than cafe quality. The burger is nothing more than a burger on a plate with half a bowl of fries. No lettuce involved. That should be okay for that price. The tuna salad is large but tasteless. Lots of lettuce and ingredients on it but no taste at all. Everything is extremely expensive for what you get. Shame.

Nice and spacious restaurant in an industrial rural atmosphere where we had lunch. The club Loft sandwich was made on country bread and tasted great. However, there was no choice for white or brown bread, which we expected. The rest of the lunch menu we saw passing also looked good.

Simple but good (bistro) menu. Unfortunately, on the Sunday evening (starting at 6:30 PM) that we were there, several main courses were gone. An alternative dish was offered for the same price, if more expensive. Very neat. For dessert, the waiter came by with a large platter, where you could choose from one of the desserts. Nice option. The service is young and enthusiastic, but clearly has no catering training. Loses attention to the table after taking out the main course. We still had a few drinks. As a beer lover, I found the beer list quite boring. A few well-known names, such as Brewdog and 't IJ, but miss nice local beers. Even if there are only 1 or 2, there is still a lot of beauty to be found around IJsselstein, which is not in the hands of a macro brewery. Otherwise a really nice place, with a good kitchen. Avoid 'no-sales' as much as possible and then add an extra star.

Goats stole so gloriously. Cold food, apparently due to the steak being medium rare, according to the waitress. But I saw he was already waiting on the counter. This was then resolved by offering a free drink, but that didn't come either...

Heerlijke herte biefstuk gegeten... helaas waren ze allemaal koud bij serveren... maar dat werd perfect opgepakt door de bediening! Iedereen kreeg een nieuw bord met daarbij nieuwe warme bijgerechten

(IJsselstein, donderdag 2 oktober) Hier toevallig uitgekomen en echt ontzettend blij mee! Komt niet vaak voor dat je ergens spontaan binnenkomt en echt álles klopt. Hele leuke attente dames in de bediening, leuke gevarieerde menukaart en uitvoering en presentatie ook super smaakvol. Klap op de vuurpijl ook nog een super leuke “fysieke dessertkaart” met veel keuze! Onze pup was ook erg welkom. Komen 100% terug!

De lunch die we hebben genomen bestond uit 2 kroketten draadjes vlees niets van gemerkt saai gepresenteerd 2 dikke boterhammen zonder boter en geen garnituur kosten € 10.50 volgende keer toch maar weer naar Joris

Een hele slechte service vind ik het ontbreken van Wifi....overal elders in de restaurants hebben ze dat wel!!

Heerlijk gegeten, maar ook voor dit restaurant moet de muziek zo hard dat je naar elkaar moet schreeuwen? Zet de muziek gewoon als achtergrond aan, dat is voor iedereen voldoende.

We hebben hier alleen twee voorgerechtjes genomen vanwege theaterbezoek en de carpaccio en gambas zijn goed bevallen en zeer smaakvol de bediening was vlot en attent .mooie locatie een aanrader om te gaan eten of lunchen.

Great ambience, music and modern urban wooden, routan decor. Service is ok, however attentive. Tried the "Vis Duo, Angus Rundvlees Kroketten and Frietje Mayo". Nice and fresh presentation, however the duo sandwich is a little difficult to eat as served. Can't go wrong with the kroketten and the fries. Everything was very tasty and I loved the daily fresh bread offered. Vascobelo coffee is a great tasting brand. You have to try a piece of the apple/pear pie, the best one I have tried till now! This one is from a local bakery called "Peter bakt brood". Overall, worth another visit, which we already did, even if it was just for another piece of pie.

Had lunch with a friend and we enjoyed ourselfs sitting on the terras, the nice weather helped. Food / price balance is ok, but didn't pop. Nevertheless, would visit again.

Loft88 heeft een goede vibe. Goeie sfeer,vriendelijk personeel. Hoe het eten is niet ik nog mee gaan maken, maar dat snel beoordeeld kunnen worden.

Met goede vriend daar geluncht. Eten was heerlijk, personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en mooie locatie vlakbij het water. Zal er zeker vaker komen.

Eten was lekker. Toch jammer dat ik er een maar achter komt. Wij hadden het duurste gerecht dus best wel aan de prijs "maar" moesten voor een klein bakje salade €4,50 extra betalen. Doe dat er voortaan gewoon bij dat zijn de kosten niet en is het af.

Prima restaurant met terras buiten. Leuke gerechten ook voor lunch. S avonds ook leuk voor een borrel. Geen dessertkaart, komen langs met dienblad met hoofdzakelijk taart. Helaas geen ijs.

Heerlijk op het terras gezeten. Vriendelijke bediening, die zelf even de tijd nam om een praatje met ons te maken over ons verblijf in Ijsselstein. Eten is goed betaalbaar en erg smakelijk.

De sandwich geitenkaas 10 euro, was een zeer aangename verrassing. Erg lekker. Aanrader!

Personeel verzorgt n ontspannen sfeer en is super dienstverlenend. Eten was prima, drank was goed. Desert was perfect. Een aanrader !
