We were supposed to have dinner with the family (11 people) today. We ordered in October 2025 for today (January 17th). This morning at 12:00 PM, the order taker called to ask if we could please be aware that we were leaving at 8:00 PM because of a private party!??? Uh... what? Excuse me? You couldn't have told us this earlier, but we couldn't until the morning itself. It's outrageous that people come from far away, considering we live all over the Netherlands. I find this absolutely outrageous and incredibly unfriendly. This company doesn't care about customer service! Where else can you find a place to dine with 11 people on the same day these days?! Thanks, Robuust, for ruining our family visit. You won't see us again (yes, we've eaten here before, but we've never been treated like this).

We've been eating here as a group on Wednesday nights for four months now. Unfortunately, we've noticed the price-quality ratio deteriorating rapidly. Where we used to struggle to finish the chicken parlor, we now get a half-empty plate with fries and cheese and a stray piece of chicken. Colleagues also skipped their steak. It's a real shame that things are deteriorating so rapidly. I certainly won't be eating there again.

We waited 40 minutes for our food. The portions were also way too small.

We had lunch at Robuust today. We got a great deal through Social Deal. The deal included a cocktail or cocktail and a drinks platter with delicious lunch snacks. We also ordered a cup of tea and a cappuccino. In total, we spent €41. The lunch was absolutely worth it. We sat there for two hours and left with a full stomach. The dishes were presented attractively. Regarding the noise: If you're bothered by ambient noise/stimuli... I would only go here for lunch during the week and ask for a quieter table. It gets quite noisy on weekends. If that's not a problem, you can go any day. I personally don't dine here because it's so busy.

Had a lovely lunch with my client today. We received friendly service. It was nice to sit there, nice and warm. You can park your car easily. One downside: the restrooms are very dirty.

I eat here regularly. Unfortunately, I've had two disappointing experiences this time. Two weeks ago, I ate here with a colleague, and the main courses were delivered—one of which (steak) was completely cold inside. After over 10 minutes, we received a new main course, so we ate separately. Very unsociable! The main course also came without fries, which were cold by then. I didn't receive any new fries; they said, "She ate them anyway." I don't think you fully understand... All in all, I'm dissatisfied with how this went. I tried to contact them by email (twice), but no response!

We ate at Robuust in IJsselstein last week, and it was highly recommended. We hadn't actually made a reservation and called around 4:30 pm, even though they were already full. Still, they quickly found a table for us—superb service! The food was very good, and we especially enjoyed the herbs on the fries; surprisingly delicious. The restaurant is also beautifully and robustly decorated, just as you'd expect from the name. We didn't have to wait long at all, and the three of us ate for a very reasonable price. In short: a great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. Definitely a place we'd love to return to!

No vegetarian options except for the tomato soup. It was difficult to have a conversation because of the loud noise around you and the close-packed tables, so there was no privacy. The service was very friendly.

The triple smash burger was very meager. The pulled check had no flavor, and despite my warning, nothing was done about it! This wasn't worth our money, and we even overpaid when we calculated it later. Terrible!

We had a fantastic lunch here at Robuust! It's a bit off-centre, but it's perfect if you don't necessarily want to go downtown. And lots of free parking! They have a very extensive lunch menu with some unusual items. Well worth it!

We were looking forward to a lovely, more enjoyable evening with the family. Unfortunately, things turned out differently... the starter arrived quickly, but unfortunately, our main course hadn't arrived after 1.5 hours. Not ideal with small children... we asked again, and luckily the children's dish arrived. We had to cancel our main course. We still paid 65 euros (including the receipt) without having a main course and ended up getting a hamburger from the McDonald's drive-thru... not quite what we had in mind...

Amazing food, huge portions, very kid-friendly, and top-notch service! It's definitely our go-to place in IJsselstein.

My wife and I enjoyed a quiet dinner at Robuust. What stood out positively was that there was no music!! Wonderful! A really quiet restaurant is so difficult to find these days. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the grilled salmon and spare ribs - very nice! Definitely worth another visit!

The food was very good quality, but the portions were pitifully small. They're probably getting smaller, but the price isn't. After lunch, we all went to the Plus because we were hungry. Update in response to a comment: We had a carpaccio sandwich where you could see more bread than filling. And a sloppy joe sandwich. A very meager sandwich on a large board with absolutely nothing else. More of a side dish than a lunch dish. The duo of steamy buns were also very small and, despite there being three of them, not a complete lunch dish. A compliment to the service, though. They're always excellent!

Quite a nice place with a patio. Unfortunately, the patio chairs aren't very comfortable. The service is friendly, but sometimes you're overlooked.

We arrived to eat, and every time, the delicious dishes on the menu were removed! The table next to us had the same experience.

We had waffles with caramel and whipped cream and coffee. Both were delicious on the terrace in the shade, right off the main road near the supermarkets.

Good service deserves a good review. Ordered spare ribs for our children. Despite the fact that the spare ribs were sweet in taste, they had a spicy aftertaste, which made the children not like the spare ribs. Contacted Robuust and they told us that this was their new taste. With this message the phone call ended without further expectations. A few minutes later we were called back by Robuust with the message that they were bringing us a new portion of spare ribs. What a sweet gesture! Thanks again Robuust! 🙏🏼

Enjoyed a delicious high tea. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere great. Definitely recommended.

Nice food nice people but slow service

Went last minute in a warm busy evening with no booking. There were tables outside so we were able to seat straight away, for us it was perfect on that day. As always, food is great and the staff are great! We had a burger each, short rib burger and double burger, that was great because it came with a mini burger on top. Portion in general is very good and can be a bit much, but you do elect quality and your money worth . The vibe is just great in general but the creativity of the dishes as-well are super nice. Would recommend this place and will come back. I would recommend the burgers if you are a burger lover!

Excellent quality of the card. We had spare ribs, delicious. The disadvantage is that the acoustics of the restaurant (inside) are terrible. If there is a reasonable occupation, you can hardly understand each other by the chatter of the other guests. Wrong materials have been used for the internal finishing. This is easy to solve, but unfortunately. Therefore only 3 stars.

I don't recommend the pastrami sandwich because the sandwich was tasty but the pastrami meat was very little I felt I eat without meat. But the holly Molly burger was very good.

We ordered the hamburger and pastrami sandwich. The hamburger was great, very juicy and tasty. But the pastrami sandwich was ok-ish, we gave them the feedback that they dont have enough pastrimi in the sandwich. We felt like it was mainly bread. They immediately confirmed with the kitchen and told us that indeed they put the wrong amount in the sandwich. It is a bit pity but I appreciate their customer focused approach. We will definitely come back to try other hamburgers.

A very lovely place. The service was great and the waitresses serving us that night were super friendly. The food came out fast, considering we were with a party of 6 people. The menu has quite a large selection of dishes to pick from. I would very much recommend.

The food was excellent, Anja de Gier had a steak, wonderfully tender and my friend Janco van den Berg had a crazy Robuust, this was a black Angus burger, and for dessert Anja had a coupe robust consisting of two scoops of vanilla ice cream. with whipped cream on top and my friend Janco has a cheese (board) consisting of old cheese, romero cheese and young cheese with herbs in it The service was very good, highly recommended to eat there

Thanks to the team who provided another fantastic evening tonight!! A good and professional approach by telephone and upon arrival, with room for a smile. Great that chef Robert had time to unleash his creative mind on my "surprise" question. Perfectly done. Nice to see that the assistant chef also made a passionate contribution. 100 points. The response from the entire team was spot on, as you would expect from a star team.

Ordered from robust-ribexpress last night and it was quite disappointing! For 80 euros you expect a little more. Three satay meals with only 1 skewer of satay per meal and a small amount of fries. No sauce or the prawn crackers that are described. The spareribs were also on the meager side. I think two small thin pieces without fries for 19 euros are a bit pricey! Unfortunately…

Had a nice meal here. It's a pity that here, just like in another branch, you have some inexperienced staff who stand aimlessly at the bar instead of visiting tables. This sometimes means you have to wait a very long time.

Paid 14 euros for almost 100 grams of weak fries and 1 chicken breast. Previously I got at least double for this, for the same price. This may be because I was told the last 3 times by the colleagues of the woman I spoke to on the phone.

The portions are on the large side, but delicious! We were even able to get a doggie bag. Super service and good service and very hospitable!

Didn't expect this Robuust to be completely different from Robuust Nieuwegein. Been twice now. Good atmosphere and staff who are busy. Top. Well worth the tip. I will come here more often.

Nice meal! For the first time in Ijsselstein....I thought the place in Nieuwegein was much more pleasant, we always had to wait a long time for drinks and food, but the weather was nice so it wasn't that bad.

Had a delicious meal at Robuust IJsselstein. Staff really a big 10. All hard workers with a smile on their faces. We had a nice sit on the terrace. Recommended if you are around here!

Nice place for a coffee in summer, will try their lunch menu. Was a regular customer at nieuwegein Robuust, too bad it got closed.

Good, knowledgeable people. You will immediately notice that they are real catering tigers. That is always a pleasure for me as a guest. The food is also excellent: no complicated dishes, but well prepared and good portions for good prices. Nothing but praise.

Well, you need a lot of patience here. I know, it's not fast food. You just need patience to order something to drink. There is so much more turnover to be achieved. A little bit of pace, and be busy with your guests. A simple question: "Is everything to your liking?"
