What a lovely restaurant in a beautiful location! We had a company outing. Great service and delicious snacks 😋

Had a delicious 5-course meal. The food and service were excellent. The only downside was that someone in the open kitchen was wearing fake nails and multiple rings, without gloves or a food bar. I think this is absolutely unacceptable.

After a walk in the neighborhood, we had lunch at Rivers. We had a table overlooking the water and enjoyed a delicious sandwich (the flatbread was delicious!).

I've been there twice now and each time, I've been unlucky enough to find that they couldn't order anything. Half an hour before closing, they only offered a bowl of nuts. Otherwise, it's a great place, especially in sunny weather.

Great deal. The food is well-prepared and delicious. There's no rush. We can enjoy a leisurely, leisurely meal. They also offer a wine pairing, of course. A designated driver (DBO) package is also available. Wines complement the dishes.

We asked at lunchtime if we could come for dinner, which they agreed. They should have told us that it would be better to make a reservation in advance. We went right there at 6 p.m., just before opening time, and at least we got the last available table; all the other tables were already reserved, even though there was only one couple there at that time. Instead of being able to order a set menu from the menu, we were told that there was only one set menu available for all guests until the end of October. They couldn't explain why. The website still doesn't mention this! Bad! The meal itself was good, though not warm, and very well-arranged. It was noticeable that, as non-Dutch residents, we were served politely, but when it comes to a restaurant with upscale standards, I have a different idea of ​​courteous service. We were able to order one drink, but we didn't get a second one because the waitresses were constantly busy. Overall, the value for money wasn't there, and the enthusiasm for their work wasn't evident, which is a shame. We won't eat here again.

Celebrated a staff association party there, top location and service, wonderfully spoiled with snacks and drinks

We arrived on what was probably the busiest day of the year during Parada Aqua Musica, and the dishes were served in record time. While the drinks were being taken, it was still a relaxed atmosphere, but when the four-course dinner was served, we got the feeling they wanted us out as quickly as possible. A shame. But again, the dishes were good. The hospitality, however, was a big let-down.

We had a truly delicious meal. The food not only looks beautiful, but tastes fantastic too. Beautiful view of the marina. Friendly, personal service. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Six staff members were eating out of their noses, completely oblivious to the people sitting on the patio. Waited fifteen minutes and still no help. Very poor.

We ate at Dock19. First impression: the staff were constantly looking at their phones, poor service. The food is decent, but the drinks are way overpriced. €41 for a bottle of rosé, at a brasserie. Not good. Eating by the harbor is nice. Eating next to a music box, not so much.

What a terrible experience we had here yesterday. It started with a very disinterested waiter who didn't seem to enjoy his job at all. There was no hospitality or a warm welcome. Luckily, a woman with short blond hair helped us to a nice table outside (we sat in the full sun behind a glass wall). Then we ordered the sandwich with spreads, which I wouldn't recommend... a large, dry roll of brown bread with standard spreads. Nothing special. Then came the real deal... a piece of salmon weighing less than 100 grams, a few fries, and a ridiculous bowl of salad for 27.50 is absolutely ridiculous! The satay was decent, but not worth coming back for. A real schnitzel is, of course, made from veal... here, they use a piece of pork that they cook thoroughly. Pretty tasteless. After our dinner, the table was cleared, and that was it?!?!?! No question if it was good, no question if we wanted dessert or a nice cup of coffee?!?! Not even when I asked for the bill... This is a lesson to future visitors and a call to the lady with the short blond hair: pay attention to your guests, teach your staff that hospitality is paramount, and let the chef put a little more love into his work. We'll never be back.

We celebrated our wedding day at Rivers Marnemoende and can only say it was a fantastic experience. Everything was perfectly arranged, and the venue offered exactly the atmosphere we were looking for on this special day. A special compliment goes to the staff – friendly, professional, and always attentive. Thanks to them and the entire Marnemoende team, we were able to enjoy an unforgettable day without any worries. This is a review of Rivers Restaurant. We were really looking forward to dinner, as we had guests from South Africa with us and the restaurant had been recommended by friends. The evening got off to a bad start when we arrived and had reserved a specific table. It turned out there were other people there who hadn't ordered yet, so we expected the waiter to quickly switch the table. The waiter acknowledged the mistake but then did nothing to rectify the situation. Only menus were served, and for the first course, a tuna carpaccio was served, which most of our guests didn't want. We asked if it could be exchanged for something else and asked what it was. The waiter literally said "something else." A rather bizarre answer, considering that a waiter is supposed to be aware of what's being served that evening. For the second course, we all had a tenderloin. We had specifically requested it medium rare. The tenderloins arrived and were all far too raw, so we sent them back. Meanwhile, we were hungry and had finished the fries. Finally, the tenderloins returned (which took a long time!!), this time well-cooked. Two extra portions of fries also arrived (which we hadn't asked for). We assumed these extra portions were free to make up for the mistake with the tenderloins. In the end, we found one of those extra portions of fries on the bill. Not nice... After the tenderloins came out raw, the waiter didn't ask if they were to our liking. Very strange... In any other restaurant, they'd want to know if the customer was satisfied with their new food. The friendliness of the service was also lacking. Definitely not recommended for the high price you pay at Rivers Restaurant. There, I expect good, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Definitely not recommended. We will never return.

Great place to relax and enjoy the environment

Baby shower at Rivers Marnemoende for €35.00 per person. We ordered gluten-free and pregnancy-safe food. For 16 people. Each person received a wine glass filled with soup, followed by a gluten-free piece of bread with tomatoes, onions, cured ham (not pregnancy-safe), some mozzarella, etc. Finally, a small portion of risotto with a small piece of salmon. There was also a pot of coffee, two bottles of sparkling water, and two bottles of sparkling water. Ugh, what a disappointment! Rivers Marnemoende cost €525.00.

What a surprise this beautiful spot near the city is. Views of the harbor, boats coming and going, and despite the hustle and bustle, there's a tranquility. The food is delicious, the service is top-notch, and after a lunch like this, you really feel like you've been on vacation.

A great place to eat or drink. Pleasant atmosphere and delicious dishes. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.

The staff is so rude, sighing when you ask if it contains gluten or meat, it's almost comical. The selection is limited, and some of it is out of stock. It took a very long time to get our food. After that, the kitchen was closed, and most desserts were unavailable. We were laughing our heads off, what a farce. Or was it a hidden camera after all?

The restaurant, with its terrace, is located on the marina, but they don't work together. Their website states that reservations aren't possible on the marina terrace. We had two boats and booked for two nights. Later in the afternoon, we went to the terrace and were told there was no room; they were full.🤔 So, reservations had indeed been made! When we asked how this was possible, they looked at a broken alarm clock like a monkey and couldn't answer. So, you can't just pop over to another restaurant because you're in the middle of nowhere... We stayed one night and left the next day. They didn't serve dinner on Sundays, and lunch was already fully booked.😝 Extremely customer-unfriendly. As water sports enthusiasts, we'll never come here again; terrible amateurs.

We made a reservation for a four-course dinner for two at a top restaurant and paid €162. The timing of the service was very poor. The food was good, but some of it was cold, which was very disappointing. In short, there's much room for improvement, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. It's a shame about the reservation and the €162.

Saturday, July 12th, I dined at Dock 19. A great spot on the terrace in front of the bar and the harbor opening, with a lovely view. After booking a table, the service proved to be very disappointing. A mix of young and senior staff, with only the senior staff member actively serving and attentive to empty glasses, guests wanting to order, and an understanding of hospitality. The other staff primarily responds to instructions and directions. The meat of the day—tournedos, max. 120g—is disproportionate to the price: €28.50 with a portion of fries and salad, which you have to share between two people for two people. Conclusion: You can earn much more by paying attention to empty glasses, approaching the restaurant commercially, and actively serving your guests. I wouldn't recommend Dock 19 for a good bite to eat and a drink, but purely for a necessary dinner while moored in the harbor.

Op deze plek ben je niet welkom, met 2 stellen op een boot binnengevaren.. voor 2 nachten geboekt en de bedoeling was om hier onze dochter en schoonzoon te ontvangen en op een diner te trakteren. Maar dat pakte anders uit. Op hun website staat dat je niet kunt reserveren, oke prima dan kijken wij ter plekke wel. Op het terras aangekomen zagen wij al op verschillende tafels gereserveerd staan???? De bediening aangesproken dat wij graag een hapje wilde eten, zegt meneer: heeft u gereserveerd? Nee dat hebben wij niet want op uw website staat dat je niet kan reserveren!!!! Hij ruggespraak met de keuken en nee hoor wij zitten vol! Wij hadden voor 2 nachten gereserveerd, maar hebben besloten morgen door te varen naar Montfoort, misschien dat wij daar iets beter terecht kunnen! Marnemoende zullen wij in de toekomst overslaan en iedere watersporter informeren over de gang van zaken alhier! Als het de laatste haven in dit land zou zijn, verkocht ik mijn boot! Nooit maar dan ook nooit geen Marnemoende meer voor ons.

The website says you can't make reservations for the terrace. Because I didn't want to sit inside, I didn't make a reservation, and by 5:15 I was already standing on an empty terrace because we wanted a six-course meal. I was told I should have made a reservation for inside, and that we could have sat outside. But in the past, I've made reservations for inside, and we weren't allowed outside. I find it very unclear, and now everything was full despite the empty terrace. So I'm quite disappointed and would have liked to write a positive review about the undoubtedly delicious food.

The service asks afterwards how the food was, I tell them it wasn't a highlight. The service will pass it on to the kitchen. With the message, better luck next time, ma'am. What?? On warmer days, the top restaurant is closed and you will be seated downstairs in a serre. Okay but not as great.

Had a delicious 5 course surprise dinner. The weather was nice, so all doors were open. Unfortunately, smoking is still allowed on the terrace, so we spent most of the evening indoors in the smoke smell. Very dirty and a shame about the delicious food experience. And another tip for the restaurant: take down the Christmas decorations, we are already in May 😅

A hidden gem in the countryside behind Nieuwegein/IJsselstein: Rivers Manemoende is located next to the Marnemoende marina. From the slightly higher restaurant you have a fantastic view over the water and the farmlands. That alone makes it worthwhile to have a drink or a bite to eat there. The food is of good quality and the choice is wide. Nice service too!

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. Overall sloppy service, but okay food. We have previously had a 'gluten-free' drink made for us where nuts were presented with a coating. Recently gave the place a second chance, but again very sloppy service with many mistakes. The soup of the day was supposed to be sweet potato, but turned out to be something completely different upon arrival. By the way, it tasted good, so that was totally fine. There was supposed to be gluten-free bread, but when it came to the table it turned out that it had run out and was replaced by some lettuce without further consultation. Also received the wrong version of the dish which was cheaper. Immediately said that it was okay, but it would be nice if it was adjusted on the bill. This was not done and was dismissed as that she had looked and that it was just as expensive, which was incorrect after checking after paying. Ultimately the money was 'transferred' back, because it felt nice in principle to solve the matter and leave with an okay feeling. Funnily enough, the transfer was changed to paying extra money. When I called about it, I thought the solution focus was poor. All in all, it's a shame, because the location and the food are really great.

The lunch menu (Brasserie) is diverse. However, the dishes were mediocre. The croquettes were fried (too) dark, the fish salad consisted of a deepened plate of lettuce with some slices of smoked salmon on top, crayfish and 2 fried prawns. There was no coherence in the dish and it was the fat of the fried prawns that still gave it some flavor. The white wines were served too cold and lacked flavour. We sat there for 3 hours, didn't smell anything there, but when we got home there was a baking smell in the clothes (we were upstairs). So there is something wrong with the ventilation.

Doc 19!!! Top restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is actually great! BUT the toilets are terrible!!! Nan shares a toilet in a urinal in the men's room with dozens of boaters and c2 restaurants. Although there is still a toilet inside, it is only available to visitors to the River Restaurant. I could only rate the River Restaurant (1st floor) worse because the price/performance isn't right here. Rather chic.

Bad! Tonight we wanted to go out for dinner. It took more than half an hour before the 3 employees noticed us. They were busy with each other. There were only 3 tables occupied. Finally we could order a drink. And we got the menu, we ordered a starter and a main course. The fish salad was very tasty. The bread we ordered was very dry and seemed to have been reheated several times. Then nothing happened, the main course did not come, after waiting more than an hour, I asked when the main course would come... In the end the monkey got out of hand, they didn't report it to the kitchen. We just said we didn't want it anymore and paid. Behind us there was a table that had to wave to order something. There was also a tray full of drinks. It was great to get young people involved, but there was no direction at all. A shame about our evening, we were looking forward to it. Youth were only concerned with each other. Worrying!!

My visit to Restaurant Rivers Marnemoende was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant is beautifully situated on the water, which immediately creates a serene and relaxed atmosphere. The decor is stylish and modern, yet warm and inviting. The menu offers a great selection of seasonal dishes, which have clearly been prepared with great care and attention. Every dish I tasted was a true taste sensation, from the refined starters to the delectable dessert. The presentation of the dishes was also of top quality, a real feast for the eyes! The service was friendly, attentive and very professional. The team made us feel really welcome and that we lacked nothing throughout the evening. Whether you come for an intimate dinner for two or a festive occasion with a larger group, Restaurant Rivers Marnemoende is the perfect choice. This is without a doubt a place I would love to return to. I can highly recommend it to everyone!

Nice place for a drink and bite

Lousy service, unfortunately every time. A young group of people do their best, but are not guided at all. Many tables that are completely impossible to serve. Cook is good and works really hard. In our opinion, owners should really start scratching their heads, or perhaps help out themselves, because this is really scandalous!!

Nice terrace with friendly service

We have a very bad experience with this restaurant. Rarely have I seen such a disorganized, unprofessional couple together. Incompetent staff and guests are not treated equally. You get the impression that guests, who are moored there with a boat, apparently receive preferential treatment over guests who simply think they are coming to eat at this location. We left before the food was served. And believe me, you won't do that easily when you're already sitting at the table with your first drink! For relaxed dining in a beautiful location. Definitely don't eat here!

Meerdere keren ervaren dat de bediening laat en vervolgens 2 keer komt vragen wat je wil drinken. Gerechten delen is overigens geen probleem. Voorgerecht met verse zalm en tonijn is prima. Hoofdgerecht komt uiteindelijk na meer dan een uur (Schnitzel van 360 gram) na het afruimen van het voorgerecht. Na 2 keer een opmerking dat het wel erg lang duurt (andere tafels krijgen het hoofdgerecht al terwijl deze het later besteld hebben). Dit wordt opgelost met een wijntje, prima. De kwaliteit van de schnitzel is belabberd. Buiten te vet, van binnen droog en smakeloos. Het is veel voor weinig en dan krijg je prut. De wijn is overigens ook niet geweldig. Jammer na een prima voorgerecht.

During our visit we enjoyed a great view over the harbor. The warm, sunny weather and a Chardonnay completed the picture. Although the main course took a little longer to arrive, it was good in the end. Dessert: apple pie with whipped cream and ice cream, initially missed the ice cream. After a comment this was quickly resolved. All in all it was a wonderful summer afternoon/evening. We will definitely come back!

We were the only 6 guests. Good food, friendly waitress. But it was very cold in terms of temperature and the atmosphere was not there.

Had a disappointing lunch last weekend. After entering we had to wait at least 20 minutes before we received the menu and the first drink was taken. This drink took quite a while to arrive, so we were able to indicate our choice from the menu as soon as it was served. After half an hour our host came to tell us that something had gone wrong in communication, that our order was only now being made, but that we were given a drink on the house with an apology. Neat and well... it can happen. When we finally got the food, which tasted delicious, it took a long time again for the table to be cleared. We wanted some chocolate milk to end the lunch, but after waiting another half hour, we decided to just pay the bill and leave the chocolate milk alone. We fully understand that something can go wrong, but having a customer wait another half hour for an ordered drink after apologizing is just very bad (especially when you find an offended lady behind the bar because she just brought it up). said to be busy). Wij, m’n lief en ik, hebben hier op een vrijdagavond gegeten. Wat een leuke locatie en bovendien leuk ingericht. De bediening was supervriendelijk, zeer attent en niet te beroerd om enige feedback aan de kok door te geven. Wij hadden een vijf gangen menu, iedere gang een lekkere verrassing. We komen hier graag nog eens terug!

Na heerlijke winterwandeling even bakkie koffie en bitterballetje bij Marnemoende. Het was rustig en bedienend personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en had tijd voor een gezellig praatje. Prima koffie en heerlijke bitterballen.
