The speed was not there. Had to wait a long time for lunch.

Had a delicious 5 course surprise dinner. The weather was nice, so all doors were open. Unfortunately, smoking is still allowed on the terrace, so we spent most of the evening indoors in the smoke smell. Very dirty and a shame about the delicious food experience. And another tip for the restaurant: take down the Christmas decorations, we are already in May 😅

Especially when the weather is nice, a very nice location on the water, good service, food was tasty (fish salad). Really enjoyed it.

What poor service at @rivers_marnemoende First almost half an hour before we could order something. I'm coming, I'm coming. So not. Immediately ordered lunch, which we had not received half an hour later. Ask again. It will happen soon, as was said by several employees. After asking again fifteen minutes later, the answer was; something went wrong but they are working on it now. So not. After more than an hour and a half we received the order. Make sure that if you do something wrong, it is immediately given priority in the kitchen. We remained polite. Always saying sorry and making it up to you in your eyes by giving away another round of drinks at the end, that doesn't make it right

Drinking cappuccino upstairs with a beautiful view and pastries, very tasty. Relaxed service. Then took a nice walk to Montfoort and back via Hollandse IJssel.

Nice location and great cuisine. The lady and gentleman at the counter are friendly and you feel welcome. The dinner really surprised us, we would love to come back. Thanks team Rivers for the beautiful afternoon! 👌

A hidden gem in the countryside behind Nieuwegein/IJsselstein: Rivers Manemoende is located next to the Marnemoende marina. From the slightly higher restaurant you have a fantastic view over the water and the farmlands. That alone makes it worthwhile to have a drink or a bite to eat there. The food is of good quality and the choice is wide. Nice service too!

We had the chef's 5 course surprise menu. I couldn't have chosen better myself! Every dish is equally delicious 😋 A nice long meal in a nice atmosphere. Recommended!

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. Overall sloppy service, but okay food. We have previously had a 'gluten-free' drink made for us where nuts were presented with a coating. Recently gave the place a second chance, but again very sloppy service with many mistakes. The soup of the day was supposed to be sweet potato, but turned out to be something completely different upon arrival. By the way, it tasted good, so that was totally fine. There was supposed to be gluten-free bread, but when it came to the table it turned out that it had run out and was replaced by some lettuce without further consultation. Also received the wrong version of the dish which was cheaper. Immediately said that it was okay, but it would be nice if it was adjusted on the bill. This was not done and was dismissed as that she had looked and that it was just as expensive, which was incorrect after checking after paying. Ultimately the money was 'transferred' back, because it felt nice in principle to solve the matter and leave with an okay feeling. Funnily enough, the transfer was changed to paying extra money. When I called about it, I thought the solution focus was poor. All in all, it's a shame, because the location and the food are really great.

The lunch menu (Brasserie) is diverse. However, the dishes were mediocre. The croquettes were fried (too) dark, the fish salad consisted of a deepened plate of lettuce with some slices of smoked salmon on top, crayfish and 2 fried prawns. There was no coherence in the dish and it was the fat of the fried prawns that still gave it some flavor. The white wines were served too cold and lacked flavour. We sat there for 3 hours, didn't smell anything there, but when we got home there was a baking smell in the clothes (we were upstairs). So there is something wrong with the ventilation.

They were divided spaces, therefore it was unclear who was/wasn't there

Pleasant lunch at Marnemoende. Beautiful marina and nice, quiet surroundings. Marnemoende is a tasteful restaurant, stylishly blending into its surroundings. Lunch is fine. Come here often for business lunches, I really enjoy it. Modern decor. Service is okay.

The food is perfectly fine. For more culinary delights you have to go up one floor. Been here several times last summer. Is very hospitable, you can choose a place, but then there is no service :-( and you have to sit down and wave, etc. Otherwise fine, friendly, etc. Nice place on the harbour.

Doc 19!!! Top restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is actually great! BUT the toilets are terrible!!! Nan shares a toilet in a urinal in the men's room with dozens of boaters and c2 restaurants. Although there is still a toilet inside, it is only available to visitors to the River Restaurant. I could only rate the River Restaurant (1st floor) worse because the price/performance isn't right here. Rather chic.

Been here during the IJsselstein wine festival, nice location, but why pay entrance makes no sense at all. The snacks are also shockingly expensive!!

Bad! Tonight we wanted to go out for dinner. It took more than half an hour before the 3 employees noticed us. They were busy with each other. There were only 3 tables occupied. Finally we could order a drink. And we got the menu, we ordered a starter and a main course. The fish salad was very tasty. The bread we ordered was very dry and seemed to have been reheated several times. Then nothing happened, the main course did not come, after waiting more than an hour, I asked when the main course would come... In the end the monkey got out of hand, they didn't report it to the kitchen. We just said we didn't want it anymore and paid. Behind us there was a table that had to wave to order something. There was also a tray full of drinks. It was great to get young people involved, but there was no direction at all. A shame about our evening, we were looking forward to it. Youth were only concerned with each other. Worrying!!

My visit to Restaurant Rivers Marnemoende was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant is beautifully situated on the water, which immediately creates a serene and relaxed atmosphere. The decor is stylish and modern, yet warm and inviting. The menu offers a great selection of seasonal dishes, which have clearly been prepared with great care and attention. Every dish I tasted was a true taste sensation, from the refined starters to the delectable dessert. The presentation of the dishes was also of top quality, a real feast for the eyes! The service was friendly, attentive and very professional. The team made us feel really welcome and that we lacked nothing throughout the evening. Whether you come for an intimate dinner for two or a festive occasion with a larger group, Restaurant Rivers Marnemoende is the perfect choice. This is without a doubt a place I would love to return to. I can highly recommend it to everyone!

Nice place for a drink and bite

Lousy service, unfortunately every time. A young group of people do their best, but are not guided at all. Many tables that are completely impossible to serve. Cook is good and works really hard. In our opinion, owners should really start scratching their heads, or perhaps help out themselves, because this is really scandalous!!

We have a very bad experience with this restaurant. Rarely have I seen such a disorganized, unprofessional couple together. Incompetent staff and guests are not treated equally. You get the impression that guests, who are moored there with a boat, apparently receive preferential treatment over guests who simply think they are coming to eat at this location. We left before the food was served. And believe me, you won't do that easily when you're already sitting at the table with your first drink! For relaxed dining in a beautiful location. Definitely don't eat here!

Nice terrace with friendly service

Meerdere keren ervaren dat de bediening laat en vervolgens 2 keer komt vragen wat je wil drinken. Gerechten delen is overigens geen probleem. Voorgerecht met verse zalm en tonijn is prima. Hoofdgerecht komt uiteindelijk na meer dan een uur (Schnitzel van 360 gram) na het afruimen van het voorgerecht. Na 2 keer een opmerking dat het wel erg lang duurt (andere tafels krijgen het hoofdgerecht al terwijl deze het later besteld hebben). Dit wordt opgelost met een wijntje, prima. De kwaliteit van de schnitzel is belabberd. Buiten te vet, van binnen droog en smakeloos. Het is veel voor weinig en dan krijg je prut. De wijn is overigens ook niet geweldig. Jammer na een prima voorgerecht.

It is wonderful to relax on the terrace at the harbour.

During our visit we enjoyed a great view over the harbor. The warm, sunny weather and a Chardonnay completed the picture. Although the main course took a little longer to arrive, it was good in the end. Dessert: apple pie with whipped cream and ice cream, initially missed the ice cream. After a comment this was quickly resolved. All in all it was a wonderful summer afternoon/evening. We will definitely come back!

It took 30 minutes for the waiter to come and help us and they never came

The food was very tasty, but very large portions so we shared one dish with 2 people. The plates were nicely laid out and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Great evening, delicious food, very hospitable

Too bad their website is not kept up to date. We went there in the afternoon and although this was not stated on the website, the restaurant was closed. The terrace was open, but closed at 4pm.

Fantastic location for lunch or dinner with beautiful views of the harbor both above and below. Friendly waitresses and the dishes on the lunch menu are tasty. Definitely recommended.

You can sit there in a relaxed atmosphere

We were the only 6 guests. Good food, friendly waitress. But it was very cold in terms of temperature and the atmosphere was not there.

Had a disappointing lunch last weekend. After entering we had to wait at least 20 minutes before we received the menu and the first drink was taken. This drink took quite a while to arrive, so we were able to indicate our choice from the menu as soon as it was served. After half an hour our host came to tell us that something had gone wrong in communication, that our order was only now being made, but that we were given a drink on the house with an apology. Neat and well... it can happen. When we finally got the food, which tasted delicious, it took a long time again for the table to be cleared. We wanted some chocolate milk to end the lunch, but after waiting another half hour, we decided to just pay the bill and leave the chocolate milk alone. We fully understand that something can go wrong, but having a customer wait another half hour for an ordered drink after apologizing is just very bad (especially when you find an offended lady behind the bar because she just brought it up). said to be busy). We won't be back.

Wij, m’n lief en ik, hebben hier op een vrijdagavond gegeten. Wat een leuke locatie en bovendien leuk ingericht. De bediening was supervriendelijk, zeer attent en niet te beroerd om enige feedback aan de kok door te geven. Wij hadden een vijf gangen menu, iedere gang een lekkere verrassing. We komen hier graag nog eens terug!

Na heerlijke winterwandeling even bakkie koffie en bitterballetje bij Marnemoende. Het was rustig en bedienend personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en had tijd voor een gezellig praatje. Prima koffie en heerlijke bitterballen.

Came for a drink and a cake. Had to wait 15 minutes for the menu after arriving, there were no more cakes and items from previous guests on the table were not cleared...in short, a bad experience!

Hier gegeten in november 2023. Het was steenkoud in het restaurant, we kregen zelfs een plaid om een beetje warm te worden. Eten was matig, bediening slecht. Voor de huiswijn betaalden wij € 38 per fles. Een wijn die in de supermarkt € 8,95 kost. Schandalig. We voelen ons opgelicht. NOOIT MEER.

Sehr freundlicher Service, tolle Aussicht

Wat er kwam was prima maar voorgerecht kwam 1 minuut voor het hoofdgerecht, de uitsmijter was de verkeerde en bij de salade ontbrak het brood. Er werd gelachen toen we dat aangaven en geen passende oplossing. Jammer want we liggen in de haven en zouden potentieel vaak terug gekomen zijn.

Very nice place at the marina. Very good service by - I think - the manager. Food is 4 out of 5, also very good. Location is great with nice views over nature and the marina, its 2 stories, upper deck is nicest for this view.

Het eten was lekker. De bediening was niet zo goed. We moesten zelf vragen naar de kaart, vis van de dag werd ons niet verteld en de drankjes werden vergeten. Jammer.

De locatie is top, zowel vanuit binnen als op het terras heb je een mooi uitzicht. Het eten (lunch in ons geval) viel prima in de smaak, bediening was vriendelijk maar had professioneler gekund. Menukaart was niet heel uitgebreid maar wel prima.

Locatie 10 punten. De kaart ziet er niet prof uit. Bediening is vriendelijk maar het gaat niet snel/efficient. Tafeltjes en spullen die erop staan zijn versleten.

Eigenlijk best jammer dat het niet best was. Tis en mooie tent op een mooie plek. Eten is niet slecht maar ook niet geweldig. Keuken was rommelig. Service is vriendelijk maar zeker niet professioneel. Kennen de gerechten van de kaart niet, is niet attent en geeft weinig info over menu of wachttijd.

Als alleengaande zien ze je hier liever niet .... Verder alles keurig.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel. En een heerlijk ruim terras en een ontspannen sfeer. Prachtige omgeving, een stille gebied.

Was erg leuk vanmiddag met mijn moeder geweest. Doordat ze niet goed kan lopen werden we meteen geholpen.

Heerlijke plaats om lekker in de zon te genieten van de omgeving, een lekker glas drinken en prima eten.

4-Gang Chef Menü (Überaschungsmenü) mit Weinbegleitung - nicht ganz billig aber super lecker. Der Service zuvorkommend aber unaufdringlich. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Dit is een fantastische plaats om te eten. Lekkere gerechten, leuke en vlotte bediening en vooral in de zomer is het beter gezellig. Het enige dat mij persoonlijk een beetje tegenstaat is de beperkte menukaart. Slechts een 3, 4, 5 of 6-gangen verrassingsmenu of een 3-gangen keuzemenu.

Tijdens het winterseizoen kun je hier een vijf gangen Groupon menu eten. Een heerlijk, verassend en gevarieerd menu voor een meer dan nette prijs. Een echte aanrader dus!!!
