Lola's in Holland Park

Slightly unfriendly staff, not service-oriented and a smile is missing.

We had such a wonderful company outing at Lola's - Bar Beppie! 🤩 The communication beforehand was fantastic: very quick, incredibly friendly, and they really thought along with us. We were able to share all our wishes, which was fantastic. When we arrived, we received an equally warm welcome. Everything looked perfect: the venue itself and the food! They even quickly put up a Christmas tree for extra coziness. 🎄 They checked in several times to make sure everything was to our liking, which made us feel incredibly welcome. In short: We'll definitely be back! Thanks, Lola's - Bar Beppie!

The food was terrible and tasteless. I couldn't eat the meat and had to leave because I couldn't chew it. It felt like chewing gum and was very tough! Terrible service too. There's a bitter old lady who's the only waitress, and she was inefficient and despotic. Paying so much money for terrible service and food is disrespectful. I don't recommend it at all.

I celebrated my birthday here last week with a group of 20 people and had a fantastic evening. I felt completely taken care of! :)

Waited 20 minutes for the first drink. The second was over 40 minutes. With these prices and service, definitely not recommended! There are much better options elsewhere.

Frites here was actually one of the best ones i had in the Netherlands ! The view is great, the atmosphere is great and the service was attentive and friendly! Very good place for gathering with friends

Way too expensive for the quantity and quality of the food. I was still hungry after eating the salmon tartare (which was too salty) and that was supposed to be a main dish but was so small I finished it in 5 bites. Outrageous. Cocktails are very good and average price for Amsterdam.

We love the food of this place, always high quality dishes but the service can be disappointing sometimes. I made a reservation on-line for tonight August 27th at 20.30. Both on the website and on Google (as the screenshot shows), it mentions that the kitchen closes at 21.00. We got there at 20.39 and the first thing the waitress said to us it’s that the kitchen closed at 20.30 so we couldn’t eat. If the kitchen wanted to close earlier, why didn’t they check the reservations and realise that there was one made at 20.30 and so have to serve food? It’s part of a good service complying with these things. Additionally, a couple of months ago, we came again and there was also a confusion about serving deserts. One waitress mentioned that we could order the deserts later and then at the moment of ordering them another waitress told us that it wasn’t possible to do so because of the time. Then, we spoke with the first waitress who took our deserts order without issues or mentioning any limit timing. Summarising: lack of will on the part of the crew/service.

I went with a group and really liked the idea of shared dining that they present. We tried almost all vegan / vegetarian dishes and everything was great . Portions were small but reasonable for the price . The interiors are quite classy. service was also good and girls who served us were friendly and cheerful. Our group had great experience and I would come back again

Arriving late in Amsterdam as a family, we were as close as possible to our hotel! We had different dishes, each one as good as the next! Honestly, I highly recommend it.

Little food for a lot of money.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was very good, with wonderful flavors and everything perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and the seating is comfortable. We were served promptly, and the staff was friendly and attentive. At one point, I did think our waitress was quite drunk, which was a bit odd considering it wasn't even ten o'clock at night. It felt a bit inappropriate and took away a bit of the professionalism for me. Other than that, everything was excellent. Definitely a place I would return to, especially for the food and the pleasant atmosphere.

Very beautiful place, extremely well decorated, not too ample food selection, they coulde xpand the menu in my opinion and prices are rather high, very nice place nonetheless.

Overpriced and tasteless food. For this kind of prices and portions (extra small) you expected decent quality. But oysters, meat and even service are poor.

A Dutch man and I (from Spain) living here went to dinner, and the food was truly delicious. The ham was the best I've had in Amsterdam, the cauliflower tempura was excellent, and the gyozas were very tasty. We had tiramisu for dessert, and it was also delicious, although it wasn't the best part of the meal. One negative point is that the terrace was very noisy because there were a lot of dogs barking nonstop. I would dine there again.

A really nice addition to Diemen. Shared dining concept with all kinds of tasty snacks. Food is refined and tasteful, not cheap! Take their delicious scroppino for dessert, really recommended. Location is easy to reach (Free parking) yes, really, it is still possible! and with nice weather you can sit on the terrace. Children with you? No problem.. the girls of the service are very patient and Lola's borders directly on a large playground. So those kids can play nicely.

Me and my partner went there for a brunch, we ordered two drinks, two toasts, a fry and a portion of oysters (6 pieces). While the rest of the food was good and as well the service, the oysters were way overpriced and they were the tiniest ones that I have ever seen. Overall overpriced, we paid 75 euro for a small brunch.

The food is very good. The appetizers are great The dessert is delicious, if I'm in the area I'll definitely visit the restaurant again. The place is very atmospheric, you can rest and relax. I recommend it

Lola’s Diemen Here the prosecco flows freely and you are greeted as if you are an old friend – even if it is your first time. The service is friendly, alert and makes the experience complete. The food? Simply very good. Cosy, vibrant and always a bit of a party. Lola’s is a hidden gem in Diemen where you leave with a smile (and a slight bubble in your head).

What a mockery. We waited for over 20 minutes for someone to come take our order but nope, it completely disappeared. There were only 4 tables occupied on the terrace and a lady brought a menu for two people. Then she was gone and after 20 minutes she was inside taking pictures of the place. I kept looking inside but she didn't pay attention to the customers at all. After 20 minutes we had enough and left. Hospitality is based on service and not on location or name. This is very bad

Beautiful, nice, spacious location. Lots of space inside and on the terrace. Friendly people. Sufficient choice of drinks. Nice lunch menu. There is a difference in taste. Of course it is difficult to judge two dishes. One was very nice and tasty, other was disappointing for my personal taste. Nutritious and quality bread. Would love to come back again and would recommend Lola's to others.

The food was good. I like the shared dining concept. The new menu is a lot better than the previous. in terms of food quality, I feel like Lola's has definitely improved compared to last year. However, the cocktails remain bad. Still no training for the bartenders/personnel. Over the course of a year, I tried their cocktails and it's bad every time. A good cocktail is more than pouring two or three drinks together... please, to the owner of Lola's: do something about this. Send your personnel on a cocktail training or hire someone that understands how to do this.

It is advertised that there is a good chef, but if you order something simple, simple croquettes cannot be ordered during lunch and things like cassis and cola cannot all be ordered at lunch. The business looks big, but it cannot deliver and is also quite pricey. A simple Irish Coffee (half the size of most restaurants) is twice as expensive.

Waited half an hour to order. Then waited an hour for our food, only to be told "their system didn't pick it up" Edit: this was between 18:15 and 19:45. Place was busy but not full to the brim. We did get our drinks at least, and they were nice enough to comp those when we said we didn't intend to order again.

The patty melt was a sandwich with pulled beef, cheese and should also have vegetables on it, but that was not the case. The parmesan was also missing from the parmesan fries at first…

Nice restaurant in Holland Park where you can have dinner really good food. The concept is shared dining with small dishes. The service is very fast and you get the different dishes quite fast. They place was pretty busy and has a nice mixed crowd. It is moderately expensive.

Beautiful business located in the young Holland Park in Diemen. Also easily accessible by public transport. The staff is friendly. The cuisine is in good hands. Perhaps just add a few more purely Dutch dishes to the menu. But that is of course a choice. It is nice to relax on the sunny terrace. In short, I can highly recommend a visit to Lola's!

Very tasty meal prior to an event at Bijlmer Arena. Accessible from there by public transport. You get good portions and the shared dining concept works well.

Vriendelijke ontvangst en gezellige zaak. Eten kan beter. Gyoza’s niet helemaal warm en lichtelijk aangebrand. Tigergamba’s niet echt op smaak en gekarameliseerde vijgen slechts 3 kleine stukjes vijg. Koffie niet warm. Maar overall een ruime voldoende.

We visited Lola restaurant for a birthday celebration, and we have to admit it was disappointing. The menu recommends sharing plates; however, none were delivered on time, and the waitress seemed confused when serving the food. I liked the concept, but the staff needs more training. Also, no one checked in on us, so our bread order was missed, and we had to ask the bartender for extra wine. Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant.

Good food, good beer and excellent service. However, the food is on the expensive side and you get small portions. Shared hygienic sanitary facilities which is always very nice. Beautiful location with long sunlight until the late hours. I will come back here more often.

It wasn't a nice meal, but if you call a dish a main course, I expect something more complete as a meal. More disk of five; So either add potatoes / couscous / rice and certainly vegetables. In terms of portion, the ceviche was more of an amuse, "with puffed rice", as it turned out, a few grains. You only see that when it appears on the table. If you order more at that time, your main course will be finished when your additional dishes arrive. Your tablemate did have a hot dish, and you still want to 'eat together'. Of course, it is also a sales opportunity if you are immediately asked whether you would like to order fries or a portion of vegetables. In any case, it triggers you as a customer and you avoid the feeling that you are being misled.

I recently went to Lola with 2 friends and we ordered chicken skewers in teriyaki sauce, cauliflower tempura, and lamb ribs from the main menu. I was surprised by the portion sizes; they were more like appetizers than main courses. The portions were very small, and I was still hungry after the meal. It’s a pity.

Dishes come without fries/puree or vegetables. I don't like this concept. Food not particularly good. Ambience and service top notch.

A really nice place in Diemen between the new buildings with a nice terrace and a view over a recreational meadow with water. Nice dishes and ditto layout. Had lunch outside twice now and it was delicious both times. If you don't want the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, this is a great alternative.

Lovely staff. Very accommodating with our two children. Spacious restaurant so we didn’t feel too guilty when our kids started to get a bit louder. Service was great and they were very attentive. Loved the variety of different foods.

Staff are always friendly, although they are not always very attentive and there is clearly a big difference in the experience of the people who work there. It looks fancy inside and it's a nice place to sit. Unfortunately, they have switched to a shared dining concept. Everything but original in this day and age. The dishes they have on the menu are tasty, but the price-quality ratio is not right. 15 euros per dish, while the portions are smaller than a starter. We ordered a total of 6 dishes, and although we didn't go home hungry, I didn't necessarily feel like I had really eaten enough. With 2 drinks per person, the bill came to 102 euros. I don't think we will eat here again.

Bold flavours, classy presentation, cozy space and terrific service. Perfect place for a date night.
