Lola's in Holland Park

We don't go there every day either, but we didn't think it had improved. Price/quality. Service and atmosphere are still top-notch, by the way. We'll see how it goes again tonight. I'm curious.

The restaurant's signature steak was very tasty, although the meat was a bit too fatty for my taste. Unfortunately, it was served cold, which disappointed me. The flavor was really good, but cold it resembled cold cuts for sandwiches more than anything else. However, my biggest complaint is the service, which seemed to have absolutely no seating arrangement. It came down to every waiter serving every customer, which resulted in no one paying attention to my table. It started with me having to grab a menu myself because no one wanted to show me to a seat. Next, I had to wave and shout to get a waiter's attention. After the meal, I had to do exactly the same thing – no one came by, so I eventually just got up again. Truly incomprehensible, especially since there were at least five waiters walking around and hardly any customers. The oven-baked potatoes tasted as if they had been bought pre-cooked at Albert Heijn and just warmed up briefly in the oven. They weren't even fresh, as a few of them had a strange, white color after being cut open. In short, absolutely not recommended.

The information on the menu does not quite match what you get. The fries with truffle mayonnaise were a small bowl of overcooked fries and looked like the last remnants of the fries package. Furthermore, the shrimp croquettes were mini instead of normal. She does mention that there are only 3, but she fails to mention that they are 3 MINIS, and you pay €12.50 for that!!!! I did give the tip to provide better information in the future when people order this. No, not our kind of place and definitely not recommended! The place is nice, but the substance is lacking.

Service was not up to standards we got all of our drinks except for one and had to wait a whole 15 minutes. It became awkward without the other person not having a drink. Had to order again.

On May 7th, for the third time, we held a super fun get-together with plenty of snacks, organized with about 125 (partly retired) colleagues. There were many enthusiastic reactions regarding the chosen location, and the combination of inside at the bar and outside on the terrace was perfect.

I’ve eaten at Lola’s for the 5th time now. Two words: top-notch place. Good location, beautiful ambiance, and above all, delicious – well-priced – food. Whether you’re looking for something chic or something casual, Lola’s combines it perfectly.

Business lunch, and where do you end up in unfamiliar territory? At Lola's, of course, and it was definitely worth repeating. It is the new normal for a lunch for three to end up costing over €60. So that is not unusual, although I haven't gotten used to it yet either. But that is not this restaurant's fault, and it was worth it. Good poached eggs, vegan options too, prompt service, and when one of us got a bit cold, the air conditioning was adjusted immediately. So, five stars and highly recommended.

We visit Lola’s in Diemen often, but we are less enthusiastic since the new shared dining concept. The portions are small and some dishes are quite expensive for what you get. Not ideal for all ages; my mother was disappointed. The food was tasty and the service good, but for us, this concept is less successful. Hopefully, the traditional menu will return.

The food was tasty, but the portion sizes varied quite a bit. We had lunch. The homemade tuna was so much that you had to search for that one slice of bread. The sandwich with shrimp croquettes was one slice of bread with three croquettes the size of a bitterball. The meat croquette sandwich, however, consisted of two slices of bread and two normal croquettes. The portion of fries was saltless and disproportionately expensive. Not worth repeating for us.

We went out for dinner this evening with our children and granddaughter. They were both positive about the menu and the food we ate; we were on time and everything was very relaxed! They are excellent chefs in large Waldorf hotels! Now, as the writer of this review, I must also mention that we enjoyed it very much, so I recommend Lola’s to you as a reader! And oh yes, our dog Lola was also welcome, so a solid 10 for us!

I visit Lola's regularly and it is always good. Until today... we came with 4 people for the Easter brunch and 3 children who ordered from the lunch menu. The Easter brunch at €26.50 p.p. was really super meager! A small soup, a tiny quiche, and 3 very small rolls. The service was also bad! The food was placed on the table and it wasn't even explained what it was. When we asked later if that was it, the answer was yes. The soup was tasty, but the rest was very tasteless. We weren't asked if we wanted drinks. When we finished eating, it was cleared away and they came to clean the table. The glasses were empty, but there was no question about whether we might want coffee or something else. We just asked for the bill. Once we had our coats on, we waited for a moment by the entrance because someone was going to the toilet. The waitress said... hi, can I help you? She thought we were coming in. Know your customers! Uhm no, we are leaving, oh okay. Sorry, but I was really disappointed in this whole Easter brunch. Way too expensive for what you get!

I visit Lola’s in Diemen regularly, both for dinner and for drinks, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always cozy and casual; it’s really the kind of place where you easily linger a bit longer. We had dinner there again this time and started with the oysters and the beef tataki — both were truly fantastic. Super fresh, beautifully seasoned, and just very well prepared. What I also really like is the shared dining concept: ordering different dishes together and sharing everything makes it extra fun and ensures you get to taste much more of the menu. It is also highly recommended for drinks. Good drinks, tasty bites, and always a nice vibe. And when the sun is shining, the terrace is a real plus — a lovely spot to sit outside and enjoy yourself. The service is friendly and relaxed, exactly the way you want it. This really remains a regular spot for me where I love to return!

Easily accessible by bike from Camperpark Amsterdam. Nice for having a drink. And certainly lovely to order small bites to enjoy together. Great! And from there, to cycle to the Ziggo Dome. Worth repeating.

The food and drinks are delicious, but unfortunately, not affordable for many. A slightly less luxurious or smaller portion size attracts more customers with different budgets. This also creates a more diverse crowd. Personally, I find the variety of the crowds significantly impacts the atmosphere, especially for me. I enjoy it when there's a good mix of young and old, multicultural, and diverse clientele, whether they come together or sit together: business, family, couples, friends, acquaintances, (blind) dates, etc. I'll definitely be back! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Clean restrooms. PERFECT!

Lola Diemen is my neighborhood regular and it never misses. I’ve eaten here multiple times and everything just slaps. Consistent quality, solid flavors, no disappointments. One thing worth highlighting is the private space upstairs. Last summer we celebrated my daughter’s birthday there and it was perfect. Plenty of space, relaxed atmosphere, everyone left happy (including the parents, which is key). Prices are very reasonable by Dutch standards, especially for the quality you get. Easy recommendation if you’re in the area.

It's a very nice place in the dark. The staff are very kind and helpful. As for the food, I loved everything. They seem to have a fixation on serving in glasses, I guess :) both the soup and the dessert came in glasses. The only problem was that they didn't ask how I wanted my meat, but it's not a big deal. I'll definitely visit again on my next trip.

When you step into Lola's, you immediately feel the hospitality; the staff is very friendly and attentive, and above all, very service-oriented. We had a delicious meal, with excellent value for money. Moreover, this is one of the few restaurants where hospitality is truly palpable and you, as a guest, want for nothing without it being intrusive; they really know their craft here! We've been here before for an event (dinner show), which was one of the most enjoyable evenings in a restaurant. Lola's is an absolute must! We're fans and would love to return.

We were able to share all our wishes, which was fantastic. When we arrived, we received an equally warm welcome. Everything looked perfect: the venue itself and the food! They even quickly put up a Christmas tree for extra coziness. 🎄 They checked in several times to make sure everything was to our liking, which made us feel incredibly welcome. The food was terrible and tasteless. I couldn't eat the meat and had to leave because I couldn't chew it. It felt like chewing gum and was very tough! Terrible service too. There's a bitter old lady who's the only waitress, and she was inefficient and despotic. Paying so much money for terrible service and food is disrespectful. I don't recommend it at all.

We love the food of this place, always high quality dishes but the service can be disappointing sometimes. I made a reservation on-line for tonight August 27th at 20.30. Both on the website and on Google (as the screenshot shows), it mentions that the kitchen closes at 21.00. We got there at 20.39 and the first thing the waitress said to us it’s that the kitchen closed at 20.30 so we couldn’t eat. If the kitchen wanted to close earlier, why didn’t they check the reservations and realise that there was one made at 20.30 and so have to serve food? It’s part of a good service complying with these things. Additionally, a couple of months ago, we came again and there was also a confusion about serving deserts. One waitress mentioned that we could order the deserts later and then at the moment of ordering them another waitress told us that it wasn’t possible to do so because of the time. Then, we spoke with the first waitress who took our deserts order without issues or mentioning any limit timing. Summarising: lack of will on the part of the crew/service.

I went with a group and really liked the idea of shared dining that they present. We tried almost all vegan / vegetarian dishes and everything was great . Portions were small but reasonable for the price . The interiors are quite classy. service was also good and girls who served us were friendly and cheerful. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was very good, with wonderful flavors and everything perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is cozy and the seating is comfortable. We were served promptly, and the staff was friendly and attentive. At one point, I did think our waitress was quite drunk, which was a bit odd considering it wasn't even ten o'clock at night. It felt a bit inappropriate and took away a bit of the professionalism for me. Other than that, everything was excellent. Definitely a place I would return to, especially for the food and the pleasant atmosphere.

Very beautiful place, extremely well decorated, not too ample food selection, they coulde xpand the menu in my opinion and prices are rather high, very nice place nonetheless.
