Great food, excellent service and good value for money. Location is especially wonderful in warm summer weather as it is right at the Amstel. Pizza’s are gigantic and very tasty

Cozy branch of this restaurant chain. We know this from Germany. The menu is the same everywhere. View of the water. Nice area with ample parking. Paid parking. Seating is a bit tight here. Affordable. The wow factor is missing.

Great location and vibe for this Osteria on the Amstel river. Pastas are decent, pizzas can be hit or miss… not the best Italian food in AMS for sure. Staff makes little to no effort to speak Dutch. At least a greeting or basic level in the local language would be appreciated!

Beautiful location, delicious food, and a very pleasant atmosphere. The waitresses helped us immediately when a wine glass broke and immediately gave us a new one without charging us. Hannah and Nicole were very helpful.

Great location, nice atmosphere, and delicious pizza. Highly recommended! The waitresses, Hannah and Nicole, were incredibly funny and very sweet. We were here with a large group of friends, but you can also go there as a date. A guaranteed hit! I would also definitely recommend the Primitivo. We got really rowdy. One caveat: a friend of mine, being 1.45cm tall, couldn't look in the bathroom mirror. It happens!

We stopped at this L'Osteria in Amsterdam one evening after a trip. We didn't have a reservation, but there was still a table available for us. They immediately brought us a deck of cards to pass the time while we waited. Great idea! We ordered two pizzas – they were huge! And delicious too... they could just add a little more topping. The restroom was upstairs and was clean.

The pizzas are so incredibly delicious! A bit pricey, but the size is also much larger. The restaurant fills up quickly, so reservations are recommended. The only downside is that it sometimes takes a while for your food to arrive, but you'll keep coming back because it's so good...

We had to wait too long to order, the manager was irritated, two or three of our main courses were cold (returned), the coffee was cold (after waiting fifteen minutes, we drank it), and the list goes on. The three of us paid almost €200. The price-quality ratio is disproportionate.

We went there three times during the weekend of the 50th Marathon. The food was delicious every time. The penne arrabiata was perfectly seasoned. Even on Saturday evening, when it was absolutely packed, we got a seat without a reservation, and all the waiters were always friendly despite the rush. The restaurant also has a very nice ambiance and a beautiful location. If I come back to Amsterdam, I'll definitely come back here! Excellent all around!

L’Osteria in Amsterdam is a charming spot on the Amstel River. It's all about good food, loud laughter, and plates of pasta that are just a tad too big (but you still eat them all). The atmosphere is pleasant and lively, with a touch of Italian chaos. The pizzas are thin in the middle and crispy on the edges! L’Osteria is a little piece of Italy in Amsterdam.

The pizza and pasta were delicious, but the drink delivery was completely messed up twice and took far too long. We had a reservation for four and were shoved into a corner. Yes, there's no room in the other section. After insisting, there was room after all.

What a shame about our dinner! We ordered takeout pizza. When we picked it up, we were initially told it wasn't ready, so our son waited at the bar. Then, after fifteen minutes of waiting, we asked again and received the pizza boxes under the counter! So, they were already there without us being warned! When we got home, the pizza was almost cold and so burnt that it was inedible. It tasted like burnt dough. So we had to make something else.

Ordering took much longer than promised; we waited over an hour and couldn't be reached. It might be a good restaurant, but don't order! Thank you for your feedback. However, this doesn't match our experience. We saw the delivery driver at L'Osteria just 5 minutes after ordering to pick up the order. The delivery driver also confirmed this when delivering our order. We would indeed like to know what went wrong with our order that caused it to take so long. Because of this, we missed two bands from the concert we were attending. The order number is TRQ9TT. My colleague, Julia, ordered this; this review is on her behalf.

We were as group of 40 people, had reservation for a long time before we arrived. The fact that the half of group is vegan or lactose intolerant was not counted. There is only special menu for such a big group, which was portrayed as all you can eat, however, in fact it was only fixed amount of meals. We had to wait for the dessert about 30 minutes and it took us about another hour for everyone to pay, even the tap water was included into bill. For 35€ per person it is not worth it and no drinks are included into the group menu.

It was loud and kind of crowded. With a group of multiple people it is honestly not worth it. We all had to pay 35€ for food only and payed extra for the drink. Apparently it was supposed to be like an all you can eat with the group and if something was empty we could ask for more. But whenever this was the case we got told that there won’t be more of a certain dish and the food was very limited after all. The majority of the group was vegan or vegetarian and this was also said when we made the reservation. However, most of the food had meat and therefore many of us could not eat much and definitely not for the price of 35€. The food was alright but very plain. The place is overrated and there definitely are better options.

Authentic old-fashioned Italian food here, very tasty pasta gorgonzola and carbonara. The pizza is large but has a nice thin, crispy crust. Beautifully situated on the Amstel River.

We came here and were unfortunately disappointed from the start. Upon arrival, we weren't greeted, not even with a brief "Just a moment, please." We ended up finding a seat ourselves, as no one came. We weren't even brought a menu; we had to ask for one (we spoke English) and were given the Dutch menu anyway. After asking again, we finally received an English menu. Ordering drinks and food worked, but when our food arrived, the cutlery was missing. It only arrived after asking twice. The tables outside are quite wobbly, but at least there are heat lamps. Less pleasing: There are rats running around outside, which doesn't exactly make you feel at home. On the positive side, the food tasted good and the portions were generous. Aperol for €7.95 is also rare these days. But despite the quality of the food, the hospitality was unfortunately far from what you'd expect in a restaurant.

I had the same situation: the woman was very unfriendly and rude. She reluctantly helped customers, as if she didn't enjoy her job. The other employees were friendly, but for some reason, only this woman seemed to be in a bad mood. Why?

I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. We booked a table for a family celebration, but the service was extremely unprofessional and rude from the very beginning. Our special occasion was completely ruined because of the way we were treated. The most serious incident was that alcohol was placed in front of children, which is unacceptable under any circumstances. Although the manager later tried to resolve the situation, the overall experience remained very disappointing. This restaurant completely failed to meet even the basic standards of customer service and responsibility.

Rude and agressive staff. Teenagers work there and treat clients in disrespectful ways. 0 manners. You have to wait for ages till someone takes ur oder and around an hour to get the bill. Very bad management, not recommended unless u wanna have a bad day.

My partner and I came here for lunch and chose a table near the window/door. Everything went well until a group of children from a birthday party started playing outside. The staff finally opened the door where we were sitting. It was drafty, and we politely asked if the door could be closed. After asking repeatedly, they finally closed one side, but with a heavy sigh. The food was tasty, but a bit salty. It would be appreciated if they also considered other customers who also come here to eat.

Super delicious and gigantic Italian pizzas (thin, crispy crust). They're bigger than your plate, so it's a good thing they come with placemats. 🤣 The size of the pizza is a challenge, but you can get a doggy bag to take home. They're very accommodating to your dietary needs (in my case, lactose intolerance). The restaurant is beautifully situated right next to the water (the Amstel River).

A very nice restaurant right on the Amstel River, with very friendly staff. The pizzas are HUGE and incredibly good! We ate there twice during our vacation, and if we're ever in Amsterdam again, we'll definitely be visiting L'Osteria!
