We celebrated our company Christmas dinner here in one of the private rooms upstairs. It was a full house, very busy, but we got top of the line service. The set 3 course menu really took away the stress of having to order with so many people at the same time (19 people) and the ordering and bringing of the drinks went without issue as well. It was a wonderful night, and I would definitely recommend L'Osteria as a place to enjoy for big groups. They know what they're doing. Also, the fact that there was a TV available in the room to have our end of the year presentation was the cherry on top!

Ate here on Boxing Day... the pizzas and pastas were delicious. The pizza tasted delicious.. they have been less for a while but now as usual. Just no Christmas atmosphere at all, a real shame... but otherwise friendly service.

Just having dinner before Ajax with my adult children. Bruchetta straight from the refrigerator, so cold, and including black hair (we are all blonde?) Pizza just ran through the oven, as white as snow. Spaghetti Carbonara, I can't make it. Hot chocolate, just lukewarm with a lot of air, just not prepared properly. Guest 1's plate was taken from the table while the others were still eating. In summary, it wasn't too expensive, but it was actually still overpaid.

Visited for the first time with my family. Location is worth 5 stars. Pizza was delicious and as big as a family pizza. It is a child-friendly restaurant. Upon arrival, my daughter received a drawing and markers. You will receive good help from the staff. Price was pretty good too. I will definitely come here more often👍🏼.

Given the world-famous name of the place, I would have expected more, especially from the waiters, who work slowly and forget orders.

Food was okay, like you get a huge pizza that was nice. It wasn’t spectacular but it was yummy. Like other reviews, the service was bad. You can sense that some of the service staff don’t get along with each other. One guy was on his phone the whole time whilst the girl was running around doing everything in a mood. The guy dropped some glasses that smashed everywhere and the girl just saw it happen and nobody said a word. It felt like it was a daily occurrence and she is so over it. In future I wouldn’t put them on the same shift as it really ruined the vibe. To summarise: Nice food, big portion, awful service so order everything you can when you get a chance.

The atmosphere with Christmas music was pleasant

Worst restaurant we have ever been to. We had to wait for over a hour for someone to come to us. They totally forgot us. After they took our order, they forgot us again. What a disgraise. Would definitely NOT recommend.

You can eat very well but the service and the organization is as worst I have seen in my life. You try to book and you get a message hours later that unfortunately it is full booked and your reservation has been cancelled. If you succeed and have a table prepare yourself to wait long before you get a drink. I am really sorry because the pizza was very nice. I have eaten in Amsterdam and Frankfurt in the same restaurant. Never again!

Nice italian food and great/BIG pizza's.

The food was really delicious, but the service could definitely be improved. We came for lunch and wanted to order some drinks afterwards, but as soon as our food was finished, we were no longer served and no one asked if we wanted anything else. In the end we ordered tea at the counter ourselves, but after that no one bothered us anymore. Around half past four we saw that the tables around us were already being set for dinner, but we were not asked if we would like to order anything. This gave us the impression that we were being directed to leave, which was a shame. With a little more attention to the guests, the experience could be perfect!

I was at the L’Osteria restaurant yesterday at 8 p.m. and I was really disappointed by the lack of hospitality. The staff was extremely unfriendly and even left us standing outside without any explanation or any response when we tried to speak to the waiters. The treatment of customers was unacceptable and far from what one would hope for when visiting a restaurant. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant without a reservation, otherwise you don't seem to get any attention at all. Very disappointing!

Excellent Italian restaurant with reasonable prices. Very busy (reservations required), and perhaps that is why the service was a bit slow.

Been here before, the pizzas were very tasty, that's why 2 stars (and huge, Yum!). It looks cozy. There is a wide choice of drinks. A few days ago I went here for a drink with a friend. We sat at the bar and were supposed to be seated, but this didn't happen. The staff had no regard for the guests. In any case, we seemed forgotten after one drink. I don't think I saw a single smile from the staff. The lady behind the bar had a face like an earworm and she was throwing stuff pretty hard. It took a very long time before we could order a second drink and when my friend ordered a ginger tea, she didn't even wait for me to order another tea. When we went to pay, she handed over the card machine and then didn't look at us anymore. Really very scandalous. It's a shame that such staff are walking around in a restaurant that has a lot of potential.

Delicious pizza here! Service was very good at first, but then it got very busy and they lost track of us. Ultimately had to walk up to the waiter to get attention. It's understandable with the crowds, but we felt a bit forgotten. Pizzas were very large, so we took the rest with us, which was packed well for us. Nice cozy place to sit!

We had the best night! Roos was our server and was helping us choose our dishes and drinks, the vibe in the restaurant was amazing!

Got 2 pizzas, they tasted of salt, completely ruined the flavor. Pizza was substandard even without that sauce. They were big pizzas with 4inches on both sides of table hanging off the edge which is fine but they didn't sit us at a table bigger. I had to use my chest to keep it on the table, getting my clothes dirty. I asked for a double shot, they gave me a single. I asked them to make the remainder to go, she gave me 2 pizza boxes and walked off, wouldn't even take the food and box it for us. Then she gave the bill and asked to choose, from the menu of tips or no tip. Bad food + Zero customer service = Zero tip. Won't be going back.

They gave a table to 3 couples who were behind me. They offered me the option of ordering to go, since they did not have a table available (I had already been waiting for 15 minutes) I only ordered a pizza and I didn't like it, the dough is very thick and thin, it seems toasted 👎🏻 And the ingredients are very poor.

We were still working on the starter and the main course was already arriving. Unfortunately, that would have been good for the rest

Wanted to eat here with a large party and were told we needed to pay an additional €150 on top of the normal bill. Your pizza is average and youre not a Michelin star restaurant so be happy you have people wanting to eat at your place on a regular workday. Will never go here again. Absolutely crazy.

Good pizzas and at first glance it looks nice. We were put upstairs and after taking the first order, no one came upstairs to ask if we wanted another drink. We sat there for more than 2 hours. Dessert was no longer requested. The dishes did not arrive at the same time and were not collected at the same time. In terms of service it was actually complete chaos with uninterested foreign staff. Too bad because the location, the concept and the food are good. The top floor seems a bit like the corner where groups are placed and then ignored.

We hadden een 3-gangenmenu van Social Deal. Toen wij de gerechten nog moesten kiezen zagen we enorme pizza's langskomen. Die pasten niet eens op de grote pizzaborden. En daar moesten wij eerst nog een voorgerecht voor wegwerken. De pizza was niet alleen groot maar zeker ook lekker.

Specifically booked at time 5:45-6:45 PM to be on time for the Ziggo dome. At half past seven we still didn't have any food. So I stuffed pizza inside. 🥲

Service was long yesterday and on Tuesday this week. It is usually better than what we experienced twice this week. Other than this the food is very good as usual and the atmosphere and location are great.

I realize that I arrived 10 minutes before opening, however telling me you are not allowed to get in yet while its raining outside feels a bit unfriendly. They could have let me sit peacefully at a table inside while waiting for official opening.

Meest slechte horeca-ervaring in lange tijd. Zeer ongeïnteresseerd ontvangen door de manager. Erg onvriendelijk personeel. En dan het eten: ik zou het bijna ongeschikt voor menselijke consumptie noemen. Smakeloze happen (de pasta’s). Pizza was enorm groot en was nog wel te doen. Buiten 14 graden, maar de deur moest en zou open blijven voor eventuele gasten die mogelijk nog buiten op het terras plaatsnemen (er zat niemand). Meerdere tafels hadden last van de kou, maar interesseerde de manager niet. ‘Dan ga je maar weg’ was het antwoord. We hebben zijn advies dan ook direct opgevolgd. Ik en kon geen ‘tot ziens’ meer vanaf bij het personeel. Laatste keer voor ons.

Logistics not in order at all. After a very long wait and asking several times, 1 starter arrived and 1 minute later 1 main course. After my main course was finished and I asked again, the other 3 main courses arrived. A little later the second entree arrived. Unacceptable. Food was ok, but nothing more than that. Not recommended.

We had dinner at L'Osteria in the afternoon of October 27. Upon entering we were already received arrogantly by the "company manager". The back door to the terrace was open. We politely asked if the door could be closed because it was quite draughty. The "company manager" replied NO. We sat somewhere else, but there too we were in the middle of the draft. So wear a coat. Later we asked again if the door could be closed because it was draughty. There was no one on the terrace. Other guests also complained about the trek. Were moved to another table where it was also draughty. He just left us in the draft. Even elderly people who indicated that they had just been ill. A good host listens to his guests, is polite and does not speak loudly. This company manager, who does not know anything about catering, was arrogant, rude and was not interested in his guests at all. You don't have to be there for the quality of the food. Once and never again! The girls at the counter, on the other hand, were very polite, but unfortunately they had to follow his orders.

Great restaurant with big play area for kids. Not expensive for the portions you get, we have not been disappointed by the quality of the food yet either. Pasta en pizza waren lekker. Eerste cocktail die we bestelde was niet helemaal onze smaak. De ober heeft speciaal voor ons een cocktail gemaakt die niet op de menukaart stond. Bedankt Lau, voor de lekkere cocktails!

Perfect place to eat with a group!

Wat een deceptie deze avond. Het eten was oké, maar niet geweldig. Maar wat een slechte bediening, alsof ze voor straf aan het werk waren, nergens enige spontaniteit. Iedere keer als we ergens om vroegen(drinken bestellen, extra lepel)werd er gewoon geen gehoor aan gegeven en kon ik zelf opstaan om naar ze toe te lopen en het nogmaals te vragen. Maar toen om 21.30 de bar zou gaan sluiten wisten ze ons wel te vinden met de vraag of we nog wilden bestellen als we nog iets wilden hebben, en toen 5 minuten later zomaar de bon op tafel werd gelegd, waren we er wel klaar mee, we hebben betaald en fooi hebben we niet gegeven. Naast ons zaten twee oudere toeristen, die vroegen vriendelijk aan het personeel of het mogelijk was om een taxi voor ze te bestellen, maar dat deden ze niet, dus dat hebben wij voor ze gedaan. Lekker dat je zo met je klanten omgaat. Ik kwam hier in het verleden graag, maar dit is echt de laatste keer geweest.

Zeer slechte bediening, lang wachten op je eten. Personeel heeft geen oog voor gasten meermaals om drinken alsmede bestek en suiker moeten vragen. Zelfs dan wordt t beloofde niet gebracht. Lauwe koffie wordt niet samen met het dessert geserveerd. Personeel weigert een taxi te bellen voor buitenlandse gasten die terug naar hun hotel willen. Mij gaan ze hier niet meer zien.

We waited 1h30 to receive lukewarm dishes without much taste. Disappointed with the service.

Nice restaurant. Pizzas are huge!! Friendly service. Food is lovely, nice ambiance too. EDITED following later visit. Second visit, service was terrible, left standing at the door for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, seated for 15 mins and not even asked if we would like drinks. We walked out and went somewhere else.

Chicken gnocci was very underwhelming as was the shrimp gnocci. My friend had the pizza and said it was great though.

If I could I would give 10 stars. I stumbled across this lovely Italian place when I was at Park Sommerlust. The food was sensational. The staff, namely Nicole and Zé, were absolutely vibrant, funny, attentive and kind. The quality is wonderful and the prices even better. I will definitely return. Beijinhos, Inês

The location is really great, right on the river and you don't even notice that you are in the city. Service was also really great, a lot of effort was made with us, even though not everyone speaks English well. Communication 5 stars. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good. Pizzas were very thin, as if a truck had rolled over them and tasted almost like nothing. You had to look for garlic and spinach. Aglio e Olio ok. Pasta with pesto very salty. But the mezzalune were very tasty, although a small portion for the price. Sorry but that could be better ;)

Me and my partner wanted to have a nice bite to eat at l'Osteria on Saturday October 5th. We contacted the restaurant at 2:30 PM. We were told by an employee there that it was not necessary to make a reservation, because we wanted to eat at 4 p.m. When we arrived at the restaurant around 4 p.m. we were turned away because we had not made a reservation. We explained why we had not made a reservation (it was not necessary according to l'Osteria) but it was in vain because we could return home. We are very disappointed with this state of affairs at l'Osteria. Especially since in the past we were able to walk straight through without a reservation. We are sorry that our Saturday afternoon was badly ruined by this

This is one of the best authentic Italian pizza places in Amsterdam in my opinion. They have a variety of options but all cooked to perfection. For what you get, the prices (at least for the pizza) are quite decent in Amsterdam.

I My mum was visiting from out of town and I wanted to take them to somewhere I know the food is great. You did not disappoint! The food was delicious, arrived quickly and the service was great! It was really full and the tables were a little too close together for comfort, as the poor staff had to squeeze past us with hot plates on their hands, but otherwise I could not fault the experience at all. Great job!

Lovely restaurant, menu is Italian and lots of pasta dishes as well as the biggest pizzas you have seen. Food was great Service a little slow, tables are close together so difficult to navigate and get round, had to get the staff attention each time for more drinks and to order food. Would go back

I had a disappointing experience here. I ordered a coffee, waited too long, and had to leave without receiving it. Poor time management and service.

I had a very mixed experience during my visit. The food itself was quite good, and we enjoyed the taste of our meal. However, the service was disappointingly slow, and we had to wait much longer than expected for our food to arrive. The most disappointing part of the experience was the behavior of the head waiter, who was not only rude but didn’t even look at us when speaking. This was especially surprising, as the other waiters were polite and attentive. It’s unfortunate that such dismissive behavior from one staff member overshadowed an otherwise good meal. I hope management addresses this issue to improve the overall customer experience.

Visited around 12:00 on a Saturday on the weekend. The five of us ordered pizza, two types of pasta, bruschetta, and drinks. The pizza is huge and delicious, and the pasta is chewy. Moreover, the food is served quickly and the staff are friendly. Outside the store, there is a space where children can draw on the ground, run around, and play, and across the street there are boats parked in the waterway. It was a nice and cozy shop, not only inside the store but also with the view outside.

Loved this place two years ago, last night was bang average - service v slow - staff on phones rather than being attentive, prices are still reasonable value however. Food OK - but nothing outstanding
