Very nice guy. Dominant coffee with woody notes, roasted for a long time, similar to illy Caffe. And there was also a test can of cold latte for free :)

Decent matcha quality. Strong flavour and good froth, pretty latte art! Some chunks in the bottom of the cup as they used an electric whisk in the cup (rather than a bowl) so almost impossible to whisk it completely.

The coffee is delicious and there are more seats than I expected.

After seeing all the good comments with my boyfriend we were a little bit deceived. The client service wasn’t the most warming and they forgot to give my boyfriend the plate and spoon for his cappuccino. As a specialty coffee lover I wasn’t convinced by the coffee either.. Both my expresso and his cappuccino were very bitter compared to other specialty coffees that we’ve tried. They don’t do special brewing methods there, only expresso.

I love that place. Nice but little bit small

Small, crowded, music blasting, no table service. Some improvised table next to the bathroom and crates full of coffee bags with uncomfortable high stools. Staff not particularly friendly. Everything terrible, really.

I came here to meet a friend. I ordered a chocolate matcha latte and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was impressively flavorless. I do not even know how you make a cinnamon roll so flavorless. It tasted like white bread. My drink took a long time to make while the barista chatted with someone else behind the bar. When I finally got my drink it was the wrong drink- I received a plain matcha latte (€2 less than what I ordered) which also tasted quite bad. The matcha was of a low quality. When my friend arrived he ordered an espresso. The barista made 2 drinks ahead of him, and then stopped to chat for 5 min. When my friend asked about the drink it was clear she had forgotten entirely and quickly pulled a shot. TLDR: Overly expensive, poor service, worse product

The coffee is nice, quiet, and has a nice atmosphere, but it is a little small

Great hospitality from the baristas. If you are into speciality coffee, make sure you ask the barista and get some recommendations 😎 They have nice testing note designed for customers to learn more about their coffee. It was a special coffee roaster deal for International women’s day. Got to try a super nice coffee and recommendation ☺️ There’s plenty of space inside the coffee shop but could be crowded to get your order as it has nice coffee and a good location by the riverside. Definitely would love to visit it next time!

Lovely coffee with nice latte art. Good location. But rude staff. We came at 5pm. We were told that everything is take away because they are shut in half an hour. That's okay, but google says 6pm. My partner was ordering drinks and I turned to check with my mother what she wants, the staff member scoffed at that and proceeded to show dissatisfaction with putting her face in her palms because it's taking longer. Also no greeting at the door. Won't be coming back as got generally bad customer service.

We ordered 2 hot chocolates to take away which were served to us with a lovely latte art and they were excellent!!!

We ordered espresso and cinnamon roll. The coffee quality was below average and they didn’t warm up the cinnamon roll in winter . I don’t know they didn’t have the facilities to warm up or other reasons.

Let's have a cup of coffee and a tasty snack. Served by a friendly young lady, who spoke to me politely, despite the fact that she was busy. Highly recommended for a strong cup of coffee.

Coffee is tasty, but it's a pity that the service is mediocre. I arrive around 5 pm, looking forward to a nice cup of coffee after work. Hardly anyone in the shop, so I sit downstairs. Lasts a long time. Apparently the word cappuccino was shouted down, I didn't hear it because of the music. Then don't bother to indicate it, but let it get cold. In the end I picked it up myself and got lukewarm coffee in a cardboard cup for over 4 euros. or not a hospitable friendly place at all.

The first sip was strong af. Thought it was over-extracted but then it got good-better-best!!!

The filter coffee, a natural Kenyan, was nicely roasted and well brewed, neither bitter nor sour allowing the personality of some intriguing beans to show. The cinnamon bun was a passable side.

Very unfriendly. I mentioned how good the price of the double espresso was just to be polite and also as positive feedback. She didn't say a word being super transactional or not even look at my face or smile, not even when I añrrive actually. On the other hand, the blond barista was polite and kind.

A very cozy spot with warm and welcoming staff that elevate the experience, but unfortunately, the coffee fell short. As an espresso lover, the sour taste was disappointing—I couldn’t even finish it.

One of the best coffee places in Ams. Quite dark /strong roast. Don't know if it's the beans or the machine or the baristas but I'll never be able to get my coffee like this.

Sadly I didn’t like their coffee, or their hot chocolate, or their pumpkin spice latte. They were bitter and bland. I don’t see myself returning soon.

Although a decent cup of coffee, I didn’t find anything I really loved about this place. Ambiance is beautiful but the quality of service and coffee did not live up to expectations. I would like to give their coffee beans a shot, but besides that I don’t see myself going back to this place. 4 euros for a mid minuscule flat white with some questionable service is not my ideal cafe experience. I would probably skip the pastel de nata too.

Update: a year after my first visit, I was happy to come back for my favorite hot drink: a choc-chai (half hot chocolate half chai). Justin is still working his magic ✨ Very popular spot on a great corner along the Bilderdijkgracht canal. Even for a non-coffee lover, there is something to love at LOT61. If you dare, ask for the Justin Special. His chai/chocolate latte is to die for. It's going to become a world phenomenon. In fact, I'm going to ask my local coffee shop to make it special when I get home. For all of the peanut butter lovers out there, do not pass up the peanut butter jelly bar. Yummy 😋

Everytime I come in this cafe, I am greeted with a warm smile and friendly conversation. I was served by a really cute dutch barista called Justin, who recommended the Cold Brew with vanilla cold foam. I definitely recommend this drink! It tastes like autumn 🍁

Discovered this coffee shop while walking in Amsterdam and I’m so happy that we popped in! The coffee here is amazing, I got the Mont Blanc and loved it! This drink had the best vanilla cold foam I’ve had.

Great coffee at a great location where you can have a tasty coffee with fresh croissant, they have different type of coffees, but all of them looks tasty.

It was one of the best coffees I've ever tried, if not the best yet. The baked goods were not up to the level of coffee, and of course I understand that because it is a cafe and not a bakery, but I hope they pay a little more attention to the baked goods. The atmosphere and location are generally good and there is also outdoor seating.

Specialized coffee. They have coffee today. They work professionally. Upon request, the coffee used is specified. There are indoor and outdoor sessions, but the place is small and simple, and the number of sessions is limited. The coffee is delicious and the Cinnabon is wonderful.. The place is really worth a visit.

Wonderful coffee selection. Here you get a great product. I ordered a ristretto, which is not on the menu, they still managed to serve me one. It was amazingly oily, intense an complex in flavor, that is what you receive, when you use such a high quality coffee. Haven't been to all of them, but this is the one café place in Amsterdam, which I would come back to everytime again, as coffee means very much to me.

I have been buying their beans for years and sometimes stop by to have a coffee too! Always the same consistent quality! It’s no surprise that other coffee places that I like in the city use their beans too!

Cute little cafe at the corner. Tried the seasonal drink ‘Mont Blanc’, cold brew with vanilla cream on top and it was Amazing!! The pastry was okay, not amazing. Love the atmosphere by sunny weather. Everyone chilling outside next to each other on the narrow bench. Simple and good.

The service is terrible. The man behind the bar doesn't even look at you and seems very indifferent. Very unfortunate because it is a beautiful thing.

You just have to know them otherwise they won't look at you.

I drink almost exclusively espresso, and I can assure you that although there isn’t a single origin in the grinder, their blend is perfect. This year, during the whole week of tasting different espressos in Amsterdam, the winner is LOT61. Also, kudos to the lovely baristas who made the experience even better.

The coffee deserves an 8. The space is a bit on the small side, and the service could be a little more personal.

Rich coffee. The cafeteria is small but has a small space to sit. The coffee is good and you can buy coffee beans for your places. They have different sweets, from loafs to cinnamon rolls.

Fantastic coffee! Fantastic service! “What kind of coffee would you prefer? Funky? More balanced?” We ended up trying different ones coming back several times. The funky Ethiopian was one favourite. With a chocolate nose and complex acidity of citrus, it was delicious as filter. Try it flat white! Absolutely the best ever… Go to LOT61 for a coffee and a chat about coffee. ❤️☕️🥐❤️

Deliciosas y suaves mezclas de café - visité tres veces! Pocas veces tomo una bebida de café / espresso sin azúcar, pero aquí era totalmente innecesario. Si todo el café supiera así de bien, estaría gastando todo mi dinero en cafés fuera : )

These guys consistently make the best coffee. Tried a different kind of flat white today. It was delicious. And sitting outside in summer is always good—cyclists, dogs, pedestrians! Also, the staff ground 2 bags of coffee for home use.

Very short and sweet: finally, finally, finally a really good coffee, perfectly prepared and served in a friendly manner. Even if I could go on and on about it here, the bottom line is: wow. What a good coffee.

I loved this place. I went twice in one day. I had a latte and a croissant and then the match latte. All was superb. The coffee is amazing. Some of the best coffee I have had in a while. Also while waiting I was watching them make coffee for other people and every coffee made looked perfect and done with care and patience. I would very very much recommend this place if you are looking for coffee and/or pastries. DELICIOUS 🤤

The coffee is nice. I ordered an ice Americano and it was right once. The cookies and babka were delicious after that 👌🏼

On a rainy and cold summers day, Lot61 Coffee is a warm and inviting haven. The friendly staff are warm and welcoming. The latte at 4.5eur for a large cup, is well prepared, with a rich well-crafted flavor. In the basement, a Probat roaster catches the eye, adding to the cafe's unique charm. Whether or not the roaster is functional and used for in-house roasting remains unclear. Despite this, sitting in to chill over a cuppa at Lot61 Coffee is pretty enjoyable, marked well poured coffee and a cozy environment.

No frills coffee shop. Got a very good oat latte, and plus points for not charging extra for oat milk rather than normal milk. Great decor as well, and clean toilet.

Good location, albeit the cafe was too narrow (especially the stairs!). Flat White was ok but the croissant was great - fresh from the oven! So soft and warm - come at 830am to ensure the croissants are ready! Very affordable price.

Only had a darker roast single O or house blend, so that may be why the coffee wasn’t to my taste, but I found it unremarkable. I was hoping for more from a coffee roaster. Barista was happy to make it to my liking though, two shots of espresso with hot water on top. 3.75 euros

Great place for specialty coffee 🫶🏼

Went for some new beans but couldn’t resist grabbing a cup while the weather was nice (got to make use of it in the Netherlands). Don’t miss out on this place to grab a coffee. It’s nicely located and the only thing to keep in mind is that it’s not that big so seated places are limited.

REAL good coffee and matcha! My husband had a cold brew that was so smooth and I had their iced strawberry matcha. Just be warned there is very little seating area. Get it to-go if you must!
