Luchthavenrestaurant Bites & Flights in Wijk 07 Eelde

I asked for hamburgers to be cooked well done. They weren't. My girlfriend felt nauseous. She fainted on the patio and had to throw up. After asking for a bucket, I was told to go to the bathroom. After telling her my girlfriend was drunk on the patio, a young man insulted me antisocially. Long story short, I threw up in a candle jar on the patio.

Everything is just too expensive there

Well. What can you say about this? "Beefburger" was undercooked and tasted spongy. Although I've never eaten a sponge, it felt that way in my mouth. The meat wasn't cooked through. Seems like an unwelcome risk before you go on vacation. This piece of meat on a bun costs €17.50, and that's just a small hamburger with a bun. (Without fries, salad, etc.) McDonald's is a Michelin-star restaurant compared to this place.

Spacious layout. Friendly service. Beautifully situated.

Nice place, but we were really annoyed by people smoking on the terrace. We were waiting for family with several small children and stood in the smoke of other people. Stupid that this is still normal here in 2025. Otherwise friendly service. It would be nice if they would set up something more for children, there is now only a coloring page with pencils to pick up at the cash register.

We were with the family in the restaurant to drink a cup of coffee. It was a takeaway counter. There was a long line with one person behind the counter. Finally at the neighborhood and when paying you pay for a cup of cappuccino € 4.95. You understand we will never come here again.

Disappointing experience at Bites & Flights What a disappointment. The restaurant was very drafty, which made it not comfortable to sit at all – especially if you want to relax before your flight. In addition, the prices are downright absurd. A simple ham/cheese sandwich for more than 12 euros? Bitterballen that cost more than 1.50 each? And then a small bottle of coke (200ml) and a 250ml Red Bull together for 10.35 euros... On the TUI plane you only pay 3.50 for a 330ml can of cola. How is it possible that you pay more in a so-called airport “eatery” than on board an airplane or even in the duty-free shop immediately after customs? I understand that you pay more at an airport, but this no longer makes sense. Even the tax-free shop a few meters away is many times cheaper. Pure money grab. (Addition: The menu on their own site is no longer current, so the prices mentioned on their own site are no longer current)

Beautiful surroundings, spacious layout, industrial interior, customer friendly, good coffee.

Food was bad and very expensive. Cold croquette on bread. Fries were not fully cooked. Staff indicated that the door was already closed at 6:30 PM, while it closes at 7:30 PM. It felt like we were being sent away. Not recommended. Bring your own food or find another tent.

Food: terrible, could be even better going to the snack bar. Literal. Service: self service. Atmosphere: Not much to say because there was hardly anyone there, and rightly so. Furthermore, it is extremely expensive for what you get. Avoid this place. Even if you have just returned from holiday. Don't do it to yourself.

Nice little airport...nice and clear. Restaurant very nicely decorated and friendly staff. Parking alone is very expensive here!

Airport restaurant Bites & Flight is located at Groningen Airport Eelde. The restaurant is large on the inside and has a large outdoor terrace overlooking the area where the planes are based. It is nice and easy to sit here for a while after check-in. It is a self-service restaurant. The menu is sufficient, from a small bite to a slightly larger bite. This is not the place for real luxury meals. The prices are a bit higher. We had a hamburger sandwich and a croquette sandwich. These are served on a white bun and a portion of fries. You can get your own sauce. These are thick luxury fries, so not regular fries. The food is tasty. The coke we had started to 'squirt' immediately after you took a sip from the straw. Another guest had this too. The staff is friendly. It is a pity that guests do not clean up their own food and drinks, which means that the tables remain dirty for a while. The tables and chairs are also not immediately put down neatly, so the terrace can be a bit of a chaos. Unfortunately, this is something you often see at self-service restaurants.

Contrary to what others indicate in their reviews, I thought this was a great restaurant. Friendly staff, good food (ham sandwich, could have been a little warmer but otherwise fine). Also lovely to sit on the terrace. 1 minus: smoking is allowed on the terrace. That was a shame because I could taste the smoke while I was eating my sandwich.

Simply ordered fries (after asking if that would be possible within fifteen minutes) after checking in, after an hour no food and we had to go to the gate (several people with us). How hard can it be.......

The tables on the terrace were not cleared. That made it look messy.

Sate was sold out at half past four in the afternoon and that was the only decent thing on the menu. It is more of a cafeteria than a restaurant, and should certainly not bear that name. And 15 euros for a handful of fries and 3 chicken wings bought from the warming container is simply a scam!!! Oh yes and sauce of your choice, you can choose from ketchup, curry and mayo, well what a choice.... If you fly at 7 am then I would just drive past McDonalds, you will definitely get more value for your money. A real downer at the start of your holiday.

Unfortunately a bad experience, mind you, not directly because of the restaurant itself, we thought we would have something to eat and drink, but it turned out that the restaurant was closed, had to park 2 cars and walk for 5 minutes (back and forth to a closed door) costs 4 euros per car, this is no longer an issue!!!

At the beginning of the afternoon (around half past two) I stood for a closed period. Why aren't things like this put on the website? It also cost me 4 euros parking fee to be there for 5 minutes.... And thank you.

What a pity that the airport restaurant is always disappointing. Today again poor quality for too high a price.

Been three times to have something to eat with my son and watch planes, three times closed even though they were supposed to be open

Top restaurant! We didn't eat anything, but we did drink a few half liters at 8 o'clock in the morning :). Fast and good tap, the atmosphere inside was great, it was nice and quiet. The nicest place at Groningen airport for us as students.

Goed gegeten, eten was er vlug en het personeel was zeer behulpzaam aangezien ik een vegetarier bij me had. Voor haar hebben ze een lekkere salade op maat in elkaar gezet!

Goed restaurant voor een tussendoortje op vliegveld

Keuze uit de plates is beperkt (4keuzes) wat niet erg is als dingen beschikbaar waren. Er was nu maar 1 van de 4 plates op voorraad. Slechte zaak.

Als ik de andere reviews mag geloven hebben wij erg veel geluk gehad. De bestelling kwam op tijd!

Gezellig restaurant ziet er verzorgd uit, het eten is prima! Toiletten zijn gedateerd en niet al te schoon.

Schoon, modern ingericht. Vriendelijke bediening. Met uitzicht op de baan en apron. Terras achter glas waar ook gerookt mag worden.

Prima personeel, sla het bittergarnituur maar over

In fact everything is okey with the place. Staff friendly food delicious and expensive. In second hand it's a Airport. So if you are hungry and have time in Groningen air port just visit and try it. Also keep in mind that airport is small and there as no more activities only this restoraunt.

Jammer dat er na een aankomende vlucht om 18.00, niets te eten is. Alleen broodje kroket. Gaan direct dicht na de laatste vlucht. Koffie was goed.

Hier voor de lunch geweest. Vlotte bediening en het eten was prima. Wel wat prijzig maar dat is bij elk vliegveld zo.

Goed restaurant, lekker en betaalbaar!! Alleen jammer dat er steeds minder vluchten zijn, zou mooi zijn dat wat meer gepromoot wordt. Of is luchthaven Eelde een doorn in het oog van Schiphol of Lelystad.????

Zondagmiddag even wat gedronken buiten op het panoramaterras. Er kwamen meerdere vakantievluchten aan en het was druk. Hier waren de medewerkers niet op voorbereid leek het. Drinken bestellen ging traag. Personeel liep continu te zoeken waar de bestellingen heen moesten want de tafelnummering was niet duidelijk. Klanten (ophalers/uitzwaaiers) die niks bestelden konden blijven zitten en daardoor weinig plek op het terras. Alleen frisdrank bestelt, die we vooraf moesten afrekenen. Het drinken kwam in flesjes dus prima. Medewerkers onervaren, maar wel vriendelijk. Toiletten erg vies.

Tijdens het wachten op mijn uitsmijter even de reviews bekeken waar ik even van schrok; dacht wat zullen we nou weer krijgen. Eten is echter niets mis mee, lekker broodje en goede sla met dressing.

Ook als je niet gaat vliegen een prima plek om wat te drinken en een hapje te eten. Complimenten voor de 2 serveersters die ondanks het volle restaurant er in slaagden om je vlot te bedienen en ook vriendelijk bleven en keihard werkten. Koffie is oké en het eten heeft een uitstekende prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Ik was aangenaam verrast.
