Lunchroom Schrage in Wijk 01 Sittard

Had coffee here on Saturday afternoon with a slice of flan. The selection of flans was fine, really quite a few varieties. The staff was friendly. The coffee was well done and the flan tasted good.

Unfortunately, it's Pepsi and not Coca-Cola; you ask for a Coke Zero and get a Pepsi Max. When you then ask for this to be mentioned, the "friendliness" turns sour and the waiter says, "This is also a Coke Zero," and as he walks away to another table, he calls out that the menu says it's Pepsi.......... My good man, we didn't see the menu.......... So we just went somewhere else for lunch.

If you are looking for a place to have lunch in the center of Sittard, you have come to the right place: they have a great menu – and even more importantly, the food is delicious – and the staff is friendly and attentive. We have been here twice and were always very satisfied. Highly recommended.

The food came out incredibly fast, but ordering was a real wait. The staff were friendly, but no one seemed to be paying attention to which customers needed food, resulting in a large number of staff at the counter while several tables were constantly waiting for orders. I'm not sure if it was the owner or the manager, but their tone when taking orders and settling the bill wasn't very pleasant. There was a strange sense of impatience. And they treated everyone the same (when we first went in, we thought they were yelling at an elderly couple, but we later realized they were just confirming the bill). Because we don't speak Dutch, we ordered in English, but they continued to speak Dutch. Repeatedly confirming with them that they had the dish in stock resulted in another strangely impatient look and the reply, "We~ do~ do." The food was average. Definitely not 4.3 stars. It's just that the manager (or owner) kept speaking to everyone in a tone that seemed ready to start a fight.

Lunchroom at the Markt with a very extensive menu consisting of many dishes with an excellent price-quality ratio.

Delicious pistolet with tuna salad, nice warm onion soup, perfect home-squeezed juice, fast and friendly service.

DON'T DO IT One star is still too many. Goulash soup is just warm water and nothing more. The toasted sandwich isn't served but simply thrown on the table. Poor service.

We sat on the terrace and had a drink. The staff was incredibly fast, despite the busy weather. They were also very friendly. The terrace was a nice sheltered spot to sit in the sun. The restroom was clean.

Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with bell pepper, pineapple and salsa sauce. I asked if I could get it without pineapple but that was not possible. I ordered it anyway, because I thought I would remove the few pieces. The sandwich (2 brown sandwiches) could have been called a pineapple sandwich because after I removed the mountain of pineapple (left in the photo) I found 5 small pieces of chicken. What was correct was that it was spicy. My daughter ordered an omelette on white bread and got it on 2 casino sandwiches that you use for a grilled cheese sandwich. All in all, these 2 lunch dishes were not good

The pea soup is disappointing, lots of sausage, hardly any peas. It's more like mashed potatoes... Unfortunately. As much as €9.00! With a sandwich with bacon, that was tasty.

Very nice lunchroom, with a new interior a few months ago. Small but excellent lunch menu. Really SUPER tasty coffee, I am very critical but this is simply very tasty coffee. I have never tasted better coffee anywhere in Sittard. Also snacks and snacks for toddlers and preschoolers. Friendly staff.

We hebben hier genoten van een heerlijke lunch. Salade carpaccio en salade kip-ananas. Op het terras onder de overkapping was het heel aangenaam, ondanks het herfstige weer. Wat wel vervelend was, waren de rokers vlak voor ons. Wat mij betreft zou elk restaurant ook buiten rookvrij moeten zijn. Ook stonden de tafeltjes wel erg dicht op elkaar. Toen er een stel naast ons kwam zitten was het dan ook gedaan met de privacy.

If we come to Sittard, we will also come here. Lots of delicious food. Not really a vegetarian option, but with a little creative swapping of ingredients we'll get there.

Come there about ten times a year. Food is always delicious and complete. The friendliness of the boys, yes, tops it off. I'm looking forward to next time.

Waiting an hour for your lunch and then the lame text: "you can order again". And then we cannot guarantee that it will be there within 10 minutes. Pff, that's bad.

Als je op een koude dag door Sittard loopt en je krijgt trek in iets lekkers, dan kan ik Lunchroom Schrage op de markt in Sittard aanbevelen. Voor een heerlijke kop koffie met een lekker stuk vlaai. Maar vooral de uiensoep. Wauw die was lekker perfect op temperatuur, smaak krachtig en de totale afwerking. Ik ben een liefhebber van uiensoep en heb die op vele plekken in Sittard gegeten. Maar bij Lunchroom Schrage die heeft oprecht de kroon. Compliment aan de kok en trouwens de correcte bediening mag ook niet vergeten worden. Klasse.

On a busy terrace you have to wait a long time for an order.

We gingen hier een bakkie koffie doen met vlaai. Je zal hier best lekker kunnen lunchen maar de vlaai viel tegen. Alsof die zo uit de supermarkt kwam. Dat viel tegen.

Vandaag op terras gezeten, zoals we wel vaker doen als we in Sittard zijn. Kopje koffie en Bossebol gehad. Ook gebruik gemaakt van toilet, jammer dat men weinig tot geen aandacht heeft voor de controle van de corona check. Je geeft dit aan, maar men zegt is goed en men kijkt niet eens fatsoenlijk of je wel een juiste code hebt, wordt ook niet gecontroleerd en uitgelezen. In deze tijd vind ik dat niet kunnen, op deze wijze maakt men het voor horecaondernemers die het wel doen erg moeilijk is ook niet solidair

Aanbevolen door familie streken we neer op het terras; kruisbessenvlaai ! Aardige ober, gewone koffie en een beperkte keuze aan vlaai. Wel de kruisbessen, die vooral bestaat uit room en merengue. Niks mis mee, maar bijzonder?

Waiting for fifteen minutes on a 3/4 empty terrace, completely ignored by service, even when they started clearing the tables around us... Then you would almost think that you would be helped faster during the corona period, but nothing is less true... Too bad that giving 0 stars is not an option....

Neat modern lunchroom. Enough seats. Bright interior. Choice of sofas or chairs to sit on. Simple menu with a fine selection of small dishes. Fairly normal price level.

Almost every Saturday I go there for a cup of forest fruit tea and a delicious pancake. It has been beautifully renovated and is now truly contemporary. The employees and the owner are very friendly and you really feel like a guest, even if I only use a small item. My assistance dog also gets a bowl of water and I often don't even have to ask for it. I'm going with a friend and she is also completely positive about it. If I had to give a point between 0 and 10, it would be a 9.5.

Very nice restaurant, the food was good, nice outside terrace. Unfortunately it is always in the shade, which can of course be an advantage at 35 degrees.
