Luuk's Coffee Noordermarkt in Jordaan

It is famous in Amsterdam, good, and with a beautiful view, but there are other coffee places that are better than it.

Really good matcha and very seeet staff. But atmosphere inside isn’t the best cuz it’s so crowded. If it’s empty the atmosphere would be great. Can recommend!

A small but cozy café, near the market, with delicious coffee. A great option for both eating in and taking away.

Employees are rude, coffee is not good at all. They serve hot latte in very cold way. They are talking with eachother and not serving the coffee on time. And the attitude was “ just I forgot it” They even didnt try to warm it or remade it. Very bad. Prices are high if you compare with the best coffee places in the town. And place is too small. Not recommended.

We ordered apple pie delivered to us and enjoyed it with coffee to avoid waiting in line at Winkel, a coffee shop across the street. Today, I tried the vegan banana cake, which was also a hit.

One of the best cafés in Amsterdam! And I've tried quite a few in the city. The coffee is superb – from heating the milk to pouring it, the preparation is simply perfect. The women behind the machine really know their craft, I have to say! The pastries are incredibly delicious, even if they are a bit pricey for their size. Nevertheless, the quality and taste are absolutely convincing. In short: A highly recommended café for anyone who loves good coffee and delicious sweets. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent coffee with a peaceful view, but it is hard to find a seat.

We hung around for a bit after our coffee was finished, but no one subtly hinted that it was time to leave. The staff simply let us sit quietly. The atmosphere was relaxed, with soft music and good coffee. A truly lovely place to linger.

Nice little place with friendly and polite staff. Good atmosphere and gets pretty busy. Didn’t like the coffee at all - tasted very burnt and felt like the extraction wasn’t smooth, but this may be due to the location being busy at the time

finally some decent coffee in amsterdam!! for some reason dutch people LOVE super sour, acidic coffee and that is what they serve everywhere. as someone who likes her coffee black, this is truly frustrating. and I’ve tried sooo many highly rated places to date. Luuk’s coffee is the first one that I enjoyed.

Delicious coffee , chocolate croissant is must

It is an okay coffee place. I had a Cappuccino and a Matcha Latte, and you can taste they use quality ingredients, but besides that, I think you can find other places with the same quality and more room to sit. Also they are neighbors to Winkels 43 and BunBun, which have great options to go along the coffee, but they don’t allow you to eat outside pastries inside and they themselves don’t have good pastries options. So if you’re looking just for coffee to take away and are close, it is a good option, however, if you want to seat and hangout with pastries, I recommend the other places that will have both coffee and pastries.

Having coffee at Luuk’s was a wonderful experience. The place is charming, and the staff are incredibly kind. When they learned we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, they warmly congratulated us and offered a lovely treat. This thoughtful gesture truly made our day. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone.

Very cozy, close to the famous apple pie spot. I wanna order cold brew but they are out of it so instead I had an iced American. So sad they don’t have straws so not very convenient when you wanna drink while walking. The vibe is good, with limited spots inside.

Unfortunately, they don't serve regular glass/ceramic coffee cups, not even if you want to drink it inside. They also don't accept additional questions or explanations. Everything goes in disposable cups that have a plastic coating that's extremely harmful to both people and the environment and can't be recycled. This is probably easier and cheaper for them, but it also means passing the buck to the customer and the environment. Besides, who on earth wants to drink good coffee from plastic cups?

Incredibly nice baristas. Accidentally forgot my coffee, it can happen and were super apologetic and upgraded the size which was really sweet. Coffee is lovely strong and nutty, beautifully foamed milk and the place has a cool minimalistic vibe.

Lovely coffee shop. Visited after grabbing food across the road for a coffee fix - the staff were super friendly, and the coffee was great. Grabbed a bag of coffee to bring home, took their recommended gesha coffee for filter use, and it was a great suggestion.

Great cafe for a snack I recommend it

Had the chance to visit this morning and indulged in a flat white w/oat milk, an iced barista cacao and the vegan banana bread cake. From the ambience and design of the store, to the very friendly staff, to the tones and flavours of the coffee and banana, all divine! As an Aussie, it was a mean flat white 😄 Absolutely loved the banana bread cake too which both my daughter and I scoffed!

Very crowded and VERY hot inside. I feel bad for the staff that has to sweat in there all day! The staff was very nice, but the coffee itself was not very good. Chai latte had little spice flavor and was mostly milk. Coffee had a bad burnt coffee taste that my partner threw his away.

Pretty crowded throughout the day and there isn’t much space to sit inside the cafe. There’s a couple of planters outside the cafe you can sit at also if the weather is good. Coffee is very good and items like matcha or the chai latte are very flavorful without being too sweet. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Excellent coffee, but the service lady (Saturday, 14 June around 11 a.m.) was not very customer-friendly. It almost feels like you’re too popular a place to make an effort—which is a real shame. Also, I don’t think you should compromise on serving coffee in proper cups just because it’s busy. You have excellent coffee, and it deserves to be served properly. suppose direct trade and sustainable but then force people to drink from single use to go cups?

had to be my favorite one in amsterdam so far. the ethiopian filter was lovely and well extracted. the baristas were so friendly and clearly love their coffee. the café had such beautiful design elements from the bar to the machine to the cups- love 💗

Unfortunately, the latte was replaced with oat milk instead of regular milk, but otherwise it was a really nice coffee experience. The matcha was also very tasty.

Even though the coffee is nice, the attitude of the staff is very unwelcoming. They approached us in a very arrogant way to let us know we can’t have pastries from an other place. Fair policy, but wasn’t said and explained in a nice way. The staff then came a second time and wanted us to give away a chair that we weren’t even occupying. Unfortunately will not be coming back. There are other places that does delicious coffee and has a lovely energy, and attitude from the staff.

I was really disappointed with the attitude of the service personnel here. One staff member approached me just to call out that BunBuns pastries from next door aren’t allowed inside — apparently because they also sell their own pastries. I understand house policies, but the way it was handled felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. It came across as arrogant rather than professional. A simple, polite explanation would have gone a long way. The atmosphere was unfortunately soured by this interaction.

A lovely little café where you can pick up something and continue straight away, or where you can stay and eat/drink on the spot. What I ordered was delicious! Furthermore, it is not super big, so it can fill up quickly, which also indicates the focus on ordering and picking up, but also with nice and beautiful seats where you can look outside. If you are looking for a café where you can take a break and not be in the hustle and bustle of many other people who are all having different conversations with each other, this is the place to be. Furthermore, cozy & friendly staff and quickly helped. Because of the small size of the café, I also think it all feels a bit more personal than a larger & busy café. Also nice to know: There is a toilet. Final conclusion: Highly recommended! Whether you pick up something or eat it on the spot.

Their coffee is very tasty and fresh. The service is fast, and it’s a very polite and friendly place. One of the few spots open in Amsterdam as early as 7:30 AM.

Cute spot, but after having walked over 30 minutes to get a Matcha from here, I was very disappointed in the service. I ordered an iced oatmilk matcha, and verified with them twice to make sure it’s iced. They proceeded to still get my order wrong and give me a warm matcha and when I complained, the lady just put heaps of ice in the already warm drink which diluted the entire drink and tasted nothing like a good Matcha.

For me the best Coffee (Latte with coconutmilk wow) I've had in the city. The service is friendly, and singles and couples can also sit by the tiled window.
