It's a shame that this place has permanently closed. It would have been better if it had been taken over (possibly by a former employee). Food and Atmosphere was always good!

Seems to be permanently closed. At first it was said that there was a holiday and that the business would reopen on October 22. But (now 31/10) still closed...

Order via home delivery was incorrect. Called the restaurant after which the gentleman became angry and shouted that he was sure it was correct. Then hung up unceremoniously. The rest of the food was dry, old and cold. I will never order from here again, very poor service

Don't come here for TooGoodToGo, they have no food but gladly take your 4€ - scammers!

Always had a delicious (vegan) meal when I had to spend the night in Zaandam for work on Thursday. Friendly staff.

Ordered a mixed grill today for 40 euros, it was dry, burnt and seemed old and reheated. Wasted, shame, NEVER order here again

OMG! Too bad they don't sell it, but as a meat eater I was already a fan, but now my clog is breaking! The very, very, very best vegan/vegetarian shawarma/kebab ever. Phew. Thanks guys. Really enjoy this!

Mama Zaandam you are really going backwards. Just ordered an hour ago. Delivery time stated, delivered half an hour earlier. And that has happened before. The food was luke warm! Then in the comments section, ask for fries instead of potato slices. And what do you get?...just potato slices. That has happened before too. We also called about the complaints, then the next time we ordered, the same errors again. In short, I am no longer a customer. Sorry

Had food delivered, but it took 1 hour for the food to be delivered and the food was no longer warm. Too bad.

I have been coming here to Mama for the shawarma for over 30 years, and for about 15 years now also the pizzas. In my opinion the tastiest in Zaandam. There is also Café Mama where you can sit and have a beer or play a game of pool while you wait for your sandwich or pizza. Pleasant and sweet people with a heart for the business!

Food was not good at all. Meat tasted very strange, seemed really old and ordered fries but got potato slices. Not recommended

The food here is absolutely disgusting. Cheap nasty meat and poor quality cheese on the pizzas. If you sell this kind of junk you should really be ashamed of yourself.

Just good shawarma!, good portions too! And friendly staff. What else do you want!? The rest of the menu is also just good!

Orderd food …… waited over an hour for delivery only for the restaurant to send me a message (at arrival time) saying they are cancelling the order ……. Went to bed hungry on a Friday night thanks to them , great work guys

The worst ribs I ever tasted, avoid this,ribs were dry as if the food had been cooked and re-heated afterwards so that the meat was crispy and dry instead of juicy. I will NEVER come back here!

Good, plentiful food, you definitely won't leave hungry. A place with a cool decor, a rich menu with something for everyone and affordable prices.

Just having something to eat with my family Beer was good. But that's where it ended Shaorma old and not crunchy or fried Mix grill. All the meat is dry and old My children's chocolate milk has expired My children's applesauce expired.. 2 euros for mayonnaise with the fries.. Sorry but it costs 94 euros hahahah.. I don't do this anymore. Maybe bad day. But I am a chef and I recognize bad and old meat. Pity. I've had a delicious meal before.

We are from Italy and we had a wonderful experience here. The dishes were abundant and tasty, the staff incredibly kind and friendly. We absolutely recommend this place.

Had a really nice vegan calzone with vegan shawarma. Reasonable price with large portions.

Ik heb heerlijk gegeten. Goed verzorgt, geholpen door heel aardige mensen en we zaten heel gezellig. Kortom voor mij voor herhaling vatbaar.

De kleinste kapsalon van nederland koop je hier voor slechts 7 euro en 50 cent 😅🤣

We bestellen als we wat te vieren hebben of als er familie over de vloer is. Dan zegen we altijd mama's. Zuinig zijn ze niet met eten en het is super lekker!!!! dat is namens 7 verschillende mensen uit de familie. Ook de prijs klopt met wat je krijgt vergeleken andere zaken.

Je verwacht het niet als je er langs komt, maar dit is een prima tent om even wat te eten! Ruime porties, wel wat prijzig. Achterin de zaak is een gezellige ruimte waar je rustig kunt zitten. Er is zelfs een saladebar.

Altijd goed eten ik vindt dat je genoeg vlees op je bord krijgt en nog betaalbaar.

Gemoedelijk snackcafé met redelijk uitgebreide keuken. Aardige eigenaars en bediening. Live muziek in de weekenden en goed ingebed in de hechte buurt. Gewoon een leuke tent waar iedereen welkom is! 🎊💥🏆

Ik kom hier al >20jaar, maar nog nooit een review geschreven. Voor mij eigenlijk de enige echte shoarmazaak in de Zaanstreek. Echt vlees, heerlijk gekruid, goede saus, aardige mensen. Een aanrader, ik rij erg graag een stuk voor om !

Net bij mama's zaandam besteld. kon het eten direct ophalen. Het was meer dan ik had verwacht waardoor ik overhield maar jeetje wat smaakte het goed, ook waren ze erg vriendelijk in de zaak. zeker een aanrader

Best pizza in Zaandam! Other dishes are also very tasty and generous portion sizes. They do take online orders and payment too.
