A very convenient place with kind and quite fast service. Vegan and gluten free options too. Lovely.

We went in for a coffee. The waiters were extremely aggressive in trying to get a tip: they emphasized on the bill that service was not included, then we had to wait a long time for the change.

Really delicious, tomato soup is first class

Wolfsend has a beautifully decorated interior, with flower pots placed at the entrance that give it a warm and charming European feel. The iced coffee was average, but the lime cheesecake was absolutely delicious.

Service is very slow and unmotivated. The food is good.

Located at the entrance of Windmill Village, the food is delicious and the environment is clean. I deducted one star for the male waiter at the counter that day. There were clearly empty seats on the second floor, but the male waiter told me that there were no other seats.

Came here for a quick break after moving around Zaanse Schans for a bit. It was a calm, peaceful and beautiful restaurant. We ordered their soups and they were so flavourful! Their housemade bread was soft and airy. Enjoyed our time here and it was a nice break away from the crowd!

I recently visited this restaurant and I am very satisfied! The omelettes and focaccia were of good quality, fresh and tasty. The staff was extremely friendly and created a warm atmosphere. The place was clean and tidy, which made the experience even better. In addition, the prices were very affordable for what you get. Highly recommended for those looking for good food in a nice, clean environment at a reasonable price!

I had the 2 croquettes from their lunch menu with bread and salad. Loved it. In hindsight I should have gotten the lunch with came with one croquet and soup. Also, the house made lemonade was great.

It's as if we didn't eat at the same restaurant as the reviews we saw before going. What a disappointment. I wanted to try the hot dog...the photo speaks for itself...14 euros...I got the ketchup when it was cold. The pizza was industrial. Some people give it 5 stars, but how is that possible? We ate on the terrace; the weather was nice, it was very pleasant, but there wasn't a great view either. A simple snack restaurant, nothing more, nothing less. The waitresses were efficient and friendly, considering the crowds.

Very disappointing experience at Wolfsend – never again! Our experience at restaurant Wolfsend was downright rude. From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. The staff treated us in a cold and disinterested way. As if they would rather have us leave immediately. When we wanted to think a little longer about our next drink or dish, we were literally looked away. It was very clear that they did not feel like taking another order. Instead of service, we only got irritated looks and uncomfortable stares from the staff. It felt genuinely hostile. Hospitality seems to be an unknown concept here. In any case, we will never come back here and advise everyone to skip this restaurant. There are plenty of other places where you are treated kindly and with respect.

Small restaurant located in the windmill district of Amsterdam. It's actually a fast food restaurant. The pizzas are industrial, and the hot dog was really average at 14 euros a plate. The service is quite fast, but there were some minor issues getting the hot dog seasoned...it took 10 minutes to get ketchup. The establishment is clean and well-maintained. I came to this restaurant because of the ratings, but I made a mistake, too bad.

I had a perfect time there! Great reception, and the waiters were always smiling. The Caesar salad was both beautiful and delicious! Thanks for everything just one small note: I think the Aperol could be a bit more filled up 🫶

They have gluten-free bread and a variety of sandwiches. They also have delicious homemade lemonades!!

If you can't find a place to eat, this one's a lifesaver. The food isn't great. It's there. Price and quality are also there. We had to stop because it was raining heavily and there weren't many bars or restaurants in the area.

Hi, we visited this Wolfsend. We do not recommend it. We ate the soup with teaspoons. The food was plain bread with a side dish of a second plain bread with something... And we paid for this.

It started out well because one waitress gave us a table, but just before we sat down another waitress told us we can’t sit there and told us to sit somewhere else so we sat at another table and then we just told us we can’t sit there because we were too small of a group and told us we had to sit outside on another table which we did. Not a waitress tortoise we cannot sit there because it was reserved and we had to get up and move basically two more times. This was the worst part of our experience here. Food wise the hamburger was good, but I really don’t think it was 100% beef because it was kind of soft so it did have filler of some sort of thing but it was tasty anyway. The fries were good. Asparagus soup did not taste like asparagus very much at all. My husband had to ask me what kind of soup is this and when I told him what it was, he said he couldn’t taste it. The pizza was decent. The atmosphere itself was pretty nice.

Spritz good, Caesar salad excellent. The pizza could be eaten without infamy and without praise. Very kind staff and very nice place 😊

A very cozy and lovely café. We arrived just before closing and received a warm welcome. We enjoyed a delicious lemonade and coffee and ordered a grilled cheese and ham sandwich 🥪, even though the kitchen was already closed. We didn't have high expectations, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was delicious, and it came with a tasty side salad—we were very impressed and would definitely recommend it. ☺️👍🏽

Loved every bite!! The food was so flavorful and fresh. I highly recommend if you were visiting the Zaanse Schans windmills to cross over the bridge to have lunch here on the patio.

Zaans schans. To visit at all costs... Yes, pretty mills, but above all an old town where it feels like Disneyland, superb houses, you have the impression of having taken a step 2 centuries ago... We quickly got back in place with the lineup of range rovers, cayennes and Porsche turbos.

Very good food and service, the coffee was delivered to my table early so by the time I had my luch it was a bit cold. However the waitress was very friendly and the food was also very good.

I ordered a Capatone, if I remember correctly, and it was delicious with its eggplant and such. I recommend it.

Although the food was served quickly (within 15 minutes), the overall experience was very disappointing. The quality-price ratio is terrible — extremely overrated. The food was honestly bad: tiny sandwiches with rock-hard bread that was nearly impossible to chew, and the sauces tasted awful. They claimed everything was gluten-free, but once the food arrived, they told us the kitchen had cross-contamination, meaning there were traces of gluten — a serious issue for anyone with gluten intolerance or celiac disease. To make matters worse, they didn’t even bring all the cutlery or napkins. When we politely asked for them, the staff responded with a smug and arrogant attitude. The waitresses seemed to think they were doing us a favor just by being there. The only positive thing is its location, right next to the main road. But overall, definitely not worth it.

Characteristic place, I tried a plateful place that I really appreciated. Onion is a typical ingredient of this place, it is present in most dishes. The potatoes are exactly how they make them here in Amsterdam: larger than in Italy, crunchy and with skin. The staff is helpful and courteous. The kitchen is open to view, so you can see what they are preparing. There isn't much chatter in the place and this is also greatly appreciated by me.

We went to this restaurant for the fact that the table in the sun was available. We asked the waitress if we could sit there, she said yes. 20min later after we had just placed our order a waiter comes and asks us to move to a table in the shade because they had a party of 8 who wanted a table. We asked for them to save a table in the sun for us where 4 people where seated and said they were just leaving. The waiter refused saying “it was already reserved”, the truth is it was because we were 3. The people left and nobody went on the table for another 20min. What a bad customer service! Never have I ever seen a restaurant that kicks people off a table once they have ordered. What a shame!

I am a taxi driver and I brought six Chinese tourists to this restaurant. But I wasn't allowed to use the toilet. They said that the toilet was not convenient for me to use because there were a lot of people using it now. Actually, I can order a cup of coffee and use the toilet. But I'm not interested in this place anymore.

Nice place where you can have a nice lunch. The place is fine and various the menu. I recommend if you want to have a fast lunch.

Popped in for lunch after visiting Zaanse Schans and enjoyed a delicious beef spread and some assorted fried Dutch snacks including bitterballen, frikandel and krokets. Our food was great, the servers were helpful and the atmosphere was lovely overall. Highly recommend stopping for lunch or a drink if you’re in the area- it’s only a 5 min walk across the bridge from Zaanse Schans!

Before the afternoon visit to Zaanse Schans, two of us stopped in this nice place, encouraged by the good reviews and the presence of gluten-free alternatives. Really good food, very fast service and average prices. We had lunch outside and it was really nice in the sun. According to the person I was with, the gluten-free bread was fabulous.

We ate lunch outside and everyone really enjoyed their meals! The meatballs were great (not pictured).

We arrived at the venue and immediately took our seats. After a while they came and asked us for drinks and brought us the food menu. After 5 minutes they brought us drinks and then, after at least another 20 minutes and two requests to order no one took our order, serving two other tables that arrived after us. We paid for our drinks and left. Bad service.

The pizza looked like it was made in Italy. Pizza sauce and dough were really good. Their creamy apple cake was also really nice, but the cream could have been a little thicker. Thank you for your friendliness.

I was in Zaanse Schans with my daughter, and after the visit to the village we decided to stop and eat in this place, which we thought was very nice and welcoming! We ate very well, had the Meatballs and the Crispy Chicken sandwich, delicious. The waitresses were really nice and kind. I recommend it!!

Loved the food here! Small and cute place and even thought we came with a big group, waiters were really nice and did their beat to accommodate us. We went here for lunch as a surprise for my mother. Reserved table and received a warm welcome. The menu is diverse, so there is something for everyone. We opted for a brie sandwich and chicken club sandwich. Both very tasty and prepared with care. Staff is hospitable and friendly, involved. The decor is also very tasteful and the location is great. A short walk from Zaanse Schans. Recommended and we will definitely come back.

Op maandag ochtend was restaurant al bijna vol...gelukkig hadden we gereserveerd. Ondanks drukte service was vriendelijk en snel. Menu is goed en veelzijdig .keuzes voor iedereen vis vlees vega en vegan . Zelf had ik Clubsandwich kip . Ik heb tomaat allergie en hier werd goed rekening mee gehouden. Inrichting is heel mooi en past goed bij de omgeving Bezoek naar Wolfsend is een aanrader

Llegamos al lugar de casualidad buscando un lugar donde comer. Ofrecen un menú de 14 euros con varios platos, una sopa del día, que en este caso fue de cebolla, muy rica, por cierto. Una croqueta gigante sobre una rebanada de pan y una especie de ensaladilla de atún sobre lechuga y otra tostada de pan. No acabo de entender lo de servir tanto pan pero en general la comida está muy bien por ese precio teniendo en cuenta que los precios de los restaurantes en general son muy elevados. El lugar es muy bonito y acogedor, el servicio diez en amabilidad y eficacia. Llaman la atención la limpieza y los detalles de los aseos. Muy recomendable.

Beautiful and cozy Dutch restaurant which makes you want to stay there all day long. Service is pleasant and they never say no to your special orders, as long as you are overly specific about what you want. Very professional. Food and drinks are out of this world. I just visit this place every time I'm in Zaandam.
