Went here for the first time with my wife and brother. The service was so friendly and the food was excellent. They took their time, didn't turn a blind eye, and it was affordable. Four cappuccinos, two regular coffees, a large omelet with ham and cheese, a large "uitsmijter" (fried eggs with ham and cheese), and a "Zaans-uurtje Vlees" (meat hour) with soup of the day, a beef croquette sandwich, and a smoked chicken sandwich with salad for €160. Highly recommended for everyone. A children's menu is available.

Excellent value for money. Perfect meal or brunch. A sort of digestif served with the perfect coffee.

What's the point of charging €7.50 for a 750ml bottle of water? They practically force you to drink it because you ask for tap water and they tell you they don't have any. It's utter nonsense; it's water, not a bottle of liquid gold.

We just left Wolfsend. It was a total find! We were about to go somewhere else to eat when a local recommended this place. The atmosphere is perfect, a small and cozy spot. We ordered pizza and meatballs; the portions were just right. The desserts were delicious! They were attentive to us the whole time. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful location in an authentic Zaan house across from the Zaanse Schans. The only downside is that there are no private parking spaces. Street parking is free, though.

We went for lunch after visiting the windmill route. The place is very welcoming, the service is very friendly, and the food is delicious. We ordered the soup of the day, which was pumpkin, and it was amazing, as well as a hamburger. They gave us a complimentary local liqueur (very good) with our coffee. A highly recommended place.

Food was okay, but I was placed with my pregnant wife on a balcony and was ignored. When I wanted to go to the bathroom they said “guests only” I explained I was already eating. Long wait for the check and to take the order.

Good as always! Delicious hot chocolate and tasty typical Dutch lunches (tasty but no flavour explosion). Bring a sweater in the colder months as the place isnt too well insulated. The staff is always super friendly!

Five well-deserved stars! The atmosphere is magnificent, refined, and full of character. The location is a strong point: very close to the mills yet strangely quiet, an oasis away from the chaotic tourist crowds. The real added value is the staff: a team of incredibly friendly and helpful young women, who expertly guide you through your meal selection. Highly recommended!

Excellent. I ordered a cappuccino and an espresso macchiato accompanied by two slices of apple pie, and it was the best I've ever eaten. The place is quiet, especially early in the morning, and the atmosphere gives a sense of family and tranquility. Highly recommended to build up your energy for a visit to Zanse Schaans.

I think it's the most delicious applie pie we've had since Vienna. There's also fresh ginger tea, just like Miss. The rest is great, too :) The place is big. The staff is incredibly kind.

How to ruin a place with stupid rules or a lack of desire to please customers. Water is gold and worth its weight in gold in these countries, but only in restaurants because it's priced fairly at the market. We asked for tap water because paying 3 euros and 50 cents for a 30cl bottle is a rip-off. Water was denied. Okay, we acknowledge it, order a Coke, a beer, and two main courses. 50 euros. Nothing new in Holland and in touristy places. Then the cashier points out with a drawing on the receipt that the tip isn't included. You reap what you sow, no tip. Go elsewhere, here, tourists are ripped off, and with class.

We went to Wolfsend for the second time. The first time was just for cappuccino, which was so good that we returned for lunch today. We weren't disappointed. Excellent service, all the staff very friendly, and the lunch was delicious. Perfect fries and a wonderful vegetable quiche. My son had the burger, which he also really enjoyed. I recently moved around the corner and plan to come back often. Oh yeah, the atmosphere is also very cozy! 😍

Had a wonderful lunch, attentive service. A lovely, authentic Zaanse restaurant with a fantastic Smuiger beer. We enjoyed, among other things, a delicious latte macchiato and a Zaanse fish afternoon snack. Highly recommended. Reservations are recommended!

First time in my life I see that soup portion is 150 ml I guess and you should eat it with TEASPOON. For me it's like the symbol of greed in this place.and the quality of this soup is so so. Just liquid. Did you use real veggies for making this soup or just some chemical powder?! Although the taste was ok. Waitresses were quick but didn't leave a good impression. very feigned and inhospitable way they accept guests. I don't recommend this place. Although I had a nice coffee there.

A very good place to eat after visiting the mill. Both menus, including the soup of the day and the burgers, are highly recommended; the lemonades are also delicious. Friendly service, and all dishes were served in about 15 minutes. Prices are above average, as expected in tourist areas, but not excessive.

The food was great, we had the burgers. Service was fine, friendly helpful staff. The. Atmosphere was nice too. We sat an outside table. However, they were out of the a White Wolf beer I wanted to try, and my wife asked for her burger well done, but they still served it medium rare with way to much pink in the middle. It's a great little spot, especially if by bus or bike, parking is a bit more challenging The staff is friendly and the food was nice. My friend had a lovely burger and the fries were delicious I had the Ceasar salad which was nice, slightly a take on the traditional salad, I do prefer the more traditional version, but that is ofcourse a personal taste.

After visiting Zaanse Schans windmill village, we were looking for a nearby restaurant for a late lunch and decided to stop by this place because it had good Google reviews. The two of us ordered one pizza and one dish that was described as traditional Dutch food, but the portions were larger than expected, so we left about half of it. The food itself wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t say we received particularly good service either. When it came time to pay, however, the server handed us the bill with “thank you” written on it and rather boldly demanded a tip. When I refused, she tore the bill in front of me, which was both absurd and shocking. Her rudeness was the perfect answer to why tipping should never be taken for granted. At a place where the staff have such a poor attitude toward service, the quality of the food also becomes questionable.

Super customer friendly and pleasant

If you come to Zaanse Schans, stop here for a meal! It's just a short distance from the more touristy windmill area. We found a spot right away and ordered a sandwich (combo) and a German combination. Everything was delicious! The ingredients are served on a large slice of bread (which was also really good). We appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The price was reasonable.

After a bike tour at the foot of the mills, don't miss this absolutely DIVINE little restaurant! Everything is cooked fresh, with flavors and tastes. The service is very pleasant and friendly. You won't be disappointed by this little lunch break!

It was so delicious. We had the Dutch combination which included mustard soup, which we were unsure about but ended up being absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was calm the service was attentive. The waitress was very nice. I actually really liked everything I ate - the flavors were so rich and delicious. I might recommend splitting the Dutch combo if you’re not super hungry. Prices were very very reasonable.

We were very disappointed with the service. The waitress（a lady) refused to provide tap water simply because we did not order a main dish (only drinks and dessert). When we asked for the bill, she even highlighted the tip section. With no basic service and no water, it’s unreasonable to expect a tip.

After a long walk at the zaanse museum, it’s a great spot to eat good food and rest. The tuna sandwich was fresh and large in portion size, and the pizza dough was light👍🏼. According to the lovely lady working there, the chicken is HALAL! ⭐️

With a main course and a drink, we paid less than €20 each, so the prices were very reasonable and the quality was good. We recommend the fried chicken pieces for a little extra hunger. The service is excellent, and the place is quiet and charming! In short, if you're looking for a comfortable place to eat without spending minimum wage, this restaurant is perfect.

It's a great place to visit and see the windmills along the Zaanse Schans river or the Molenmuseum itself. But it's not the ideal place for lunch, but rather for a snack or coffee. Good service and a nice atmosphere, but be careful with the 75cl bottle of water for €7.50! (There's a SPAR supermarket right next door)

Great restaurant, arrived without reservations at 5, the waitresses found us a seat quickly! The dishes are great and plentiful, without too much waiting to be served. The staff is smiling and friendly, I recommend!

Had an excellent meal here today. We had the pizza, tomato soup, and the chicken sandwich. The dough on the pizza was delicious, the tomato soup was good and the chicken sandwich was served open-face and was perfectly fried hand breaded tenders. Prices were ok for the meals. Drinks were characteristically high. I'm happy we stumbled in here today.

The location and ambience are great but the servers are completely unresponsive. We sat for 30 mins and asked the servers thrice that can we just place our order at the register since they weren’t coming to our table to take the order. They still didn’t show up and after a 4th reminder someone did show to take the order. My recommendation is to sit at the place next door - De Kruis which seemed a lot more responsive.

Wolfsend has a beautifully decorated interior, with flower pots placed at the entrance that give it a warm and charming European feel. The iced coffee was average, but the lime cheesecake was absolutely delicious.

Located at the entrance of Windmill Village, the food is delicious and the environment is clean. I deducted one star for the male waiter at the counter that day. There were clearly empty seats on the second floor, but the male waiter told me that there were no other seats.

Came here for a quick break after moving around Zaanse Schans for a bit. It was a calm, peaceful and beautiful restaurant. We ordered their soups and they were so flavourful! Their housemade bread was soft and airy. Enjoyed our time here and it was a nice break away from the crowd!

The place was clean and tidy, which made the experience even better. In addition, the prices were very affordable for what you get. I had the 2 croquettes from their lunch menu with bread and salad. Loved it. In hindsight I should have gotten the lunch with came with one croquet and soup. Also, the house made lemonade was great.

Very disappointing experience at Wolfsend – never again! Our experience at restaurant Wolfsend was downright rude. From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. The staff treated us in a cold and disinterested way. As if they would rather have us leave immediately. When we wanted to think a little longer about our next drink or dish, we were literally looked away. It was very clear that they did not feel like taking another order. Instead of service, we only got irritated looks and uncomfortable stares from the staff. It felt genuinely hostile. Hospitality seems to be an unknown concept here. In any case, we will never come back here and advise everyone to skip this restaurant. There are plenty of other places where you are treated kindly and with respect.

It's as if we didn't eat at the same restaurant as the reviews we saw before going. What a disappointment. I wanted to try the hot dog...the photo speaks for itself...14 euros...I got the ketchup when it was cold. The pizza was industrial. Some people give it 5 stars, but how is that possible? We ate on the terrace; the weather was nice, it was very pleasant, but there wasn't a great view either. A simple snack restaurant, nothing more, nothing less. The waitresses were efficient and friendly, considering the crowds.

They have gluten-free bread and a variety of sandwiches. They also have delicious homemade lemonades!!

Small restaurant located in the windmill district of Amsterdam. It's actually a fast food restaurant. The pizzas are industrial, and the hot dog was really average at 14 euros a plate. The service is quite fast, but there were some minor issues getting the hot dog seasoned...it took 10 minutes to get ketchup. The establishment is clean and well-maintained. I came to this restaurant because of the ratings, but I made a mistake, too bad.

Hi, we visited this Wolfsend. We do not recommend it. We ate the soup with teaspoons. The food was plain bread with a side dish of a second plain bread with something... And we paid for this.
