The restaurant has a limited number of tables, but also outdoor seating. The food is delicious, especially the Wolfsend pizza, which is very tasty with ham, tomato, cheese, and herbs. The portion is quite large; five of us ordered five dishes and were very full. The servers are also very friendly!

The service and food were good and quick. The croquettes were very tasty and the fries with truffle mayo were excellent. I can recommend it! However, the area under the table wasn't very clean, hence not 5 stars.

The fish and chips were terrible: defrosted, mushy, not crispy at all, and tasted awful. The croquettes were good, though; they tasted like stew.

Everything was great, the food was truly amazing. The Burger Deluxe was quite delicious. They also have omelets and sandwiches available. Anyone can just grab a coffee and enjoy themselves. I definitely recommend it!

It's very nice and worth visiting if you want to have lunch while you're going to the village of Al-Tawahiin. You park your car in the village parking lot, have lunch and relax, and then continue walking for 12 minutes to Al-Tawahiin. It's beautiful, I recommend it.

Overall very nice experience at Wolfsend. Stopped by after checking out the windmills for drinks. Everything was good and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself was cute, we sat on their outdoor patio which was cozy. The service was pretty good, friendly and professional. Overall good experience at Wolfsend!

This place was just lovely, you won’t regret coming here. The staff was amazing welcoming, smiling and attentive. We were there for a lunch and I can recommend the Dutch lunch special. Also worth mentioning that the place is dog friendly, and our pup approves :)

I had the Hamburger Deluxe! Highly recommended, very tasty, juicy meat, and the sauce was great too. Despite the hustle and bustle, the service staff was very friendly. Since it was very busy, we had to wait a little longer, but it was still perfectly acceptable considering how busy it was. Excellent!

Everything is very well-balanced for a restaurant of this type, and not at all touristy: simple yet flavorful cuisine with attention to detail in the side dishes, impeccable and attentive service, and a quiet, shaded setting. A wonderful discovery, and with a quality-price ratio we haven't seen in the six days we've already spent in and around Amsterdam.

Good place for a coffee and a cake

I ordered the spaghetti Bolognese, and it was very good, with reasonable portions of sauce and meat. However, there was far too little pasta, at most 50-100g dry. For €17.50 a dish, I find that outrageous! Especially since the pasta costs next to nothing compared to the meat. Apart from that, it was quite good.

Food is good. Worst service I have seen in Europe. Asked for the check 3 times before I finally went up to the host stand to pay. Saw waitress give bill to multiple other tables and just ignored us. Waited 30 minutes to pay. I’m used to and usually don’t mind waiting in Europe but this was crazy.

Very nice place, the dishes are delicious, with an excellent selection of different types of bread. Relaxed atmosphere and clean place. They have gluten-free bread, which they can use to serve all types of sandwiches, although I can't guarantee there's no cross-contamination in the kitchen; they make this clear and are very attentive. We had a celiac in our group, and she had a great time. Recommended.

Mainly a tourist spot with correspondingly less interested service. Nice menu, though, but ultimately somewhat small portions. The terrace is pleasantly situated in hot weather. We found it 'decent' but not really worth a repeat visit.

Had lunch here the other day and it was amazing! Had a delicious tuna salad sandwich on gluten free bread. Also their terrace is lovely and doesn't feel crowded at all. Would highly recommend ☺️

The most PERFECT place! I was watching a man make a wooden shoe in the mills nearby. In a great mood and hungry stomach I started my quick strut over. A cute little town with bikers all around, I spotted wolfsend. Seamlessly blending in with the environment while having a modern touch (there was A/C). The inside was comfy, efficient, and staff was so incredibly friendly. And so, the orders were as such: Fish n Chips (mid, wouldn’t necessarily recommend) Tomato soup (solid, nothing special but good) Tuna Salad (INCREDIBLE, served on rye bread this sandwich was delectable. A special touch including some capers that balanced out the other flavors so well) Focaccia Burrata (Superb, the tomato’s felt so fresh and the slight sweet flavor on the warm focaccia was wonderful. The mint and sauce were a yummy touch too) Summer Crunch (insane, I am a huge salad fanatic. When I tell you I have NEVER had a better salad than this, I am not joking. Me and my family absolutely destroyed that salad in seconds. The watermelon was crunchy and sweet complimenting the cucumber, greens, mint, and incredible sauce. It is a rather sweet salad but oh my was that sauce so good. Not to mention - I don’t normally eat my salads with dressing. This was truly such and incredible salad and I would return to the Netherlands just for it :) I am sorry to say I have no pictures, we ate all the food before I had a chance to take a picture. (by “we” I mean me) Overall, wether you are visiting Zaanse Schans or Amsterdam, take that quick train over and come and try wolfsend. The whole town is charming with lots of free stuff to do and cute picture spots. And when you do come, you MUST try the summer crunch salad, it is absolutely divine, and if you try it and don’t like it, come back and try again your tastebuds need fixing. Thank you for reading ! What a lovely afternoon we had at Wolfsend. The food was truly fantastic and the atmosphere in the place is incredibly pleasant. The plates were beautifully presented and tasted at least as good as they looked. The soup with fresh herbs and the generously topped sandwiches were a particular hit. It is the perfect place to sit quietly for a moment and enjoy a good glass of beer or a tasty lunch. We will definitely be back here soon.

A nice place with homemade, traditional food

The chicken in the salad was deep fried, grilled would have been better. The bun in the burger was soggy and the patty was undercooked. Excellent service!

This was a fabulous choice! Don’t bother eating on the windmill side (Zaanse Schans). Enjoy all the windmills and shops and then walk over the bridge to Zaandjik and take your first right. Can’t miss this place. Loved everything we had. The mushroom soup was the soup of the day and it was so, so good. Tomato soup offered every day and it was also delicious. The hot dog was great! The focaccia burrata (with ham added) was worthy. The hazelnut cake was good. The apple pie (not pictured) was even better.

Very nice place for coffee or lunch

This was probably my favorite part of the tourist trap of Zaanse Schans. The town away from the windmill area is wonderful and we’re really glad we found this spot. I got the crispy chicken wrap which was perfectly crispy and flavorful, it healed me! The lattes are also blended with ice which not many places do and it was absolutely delicious.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. I ordered the Hamburger Deluxe with fries and a local White Wolf beer. The burger was juicy, perfectly balanced in flavor, and made with fresh ingredients. I especially loved the combination of the flavorful meat, crispy bacon, and sauce. The fries were also wonderfully crispy and a perfect complement. The White Wolf beer was a great discovery for me. It paired wonderfully with the burger and made the experience complete. The service was friendly, attentive, and pleasantly uncomplicated. I felt welcome without it being intrusive. I'll definitely be back.

The photo shows what you can expect to receive after an hour... An empty table! The fries were worse than those in Amsterdam restaurants. A meager portion of fish, far from the standard fish and chips. The worst part is that the waitress brings the bill, circling the tip twice. Quite audacious after waiting for over an hour, and without any apology. But the restaurant has a near-monopoly locally, so it's unlikely they'll change!

The staff told me that “service is not included,” which felt like a push for tips. In the Netherlands, service is usually already included, so this was confusing and uncomfortable. Not a great experience.

When we went inside, other customers were eating. The waiter told us that we couldn't eat at that time, we could only drink water, but other tables were still being served. Grabbed a late lunch after the chaos of seeing the windmills. Far enough to avoid the obnoxious crowds. Food was fresh and delicious. We had chicken wraps and two sorts of fries to try out. Would recommend for a drink and lunch situation.

A very good restaurant, near a typical Dutch village. We had lunch there and enjoyed the setting and the food. The service was also pleasant. The only downside was the exorbitant price of a bottle of water at €7.50.

Great café-restaurant. Just a few minutes' walk from the windmills in Zaanse Schans. Very friendly and attentive service. Delicious food and a cozy atmosphere.

The restaurant’s terrace is quite comfortable, inside is also nice, the food is not the best food I had.

I visited with my two children, and after ordering our food, I asked if I could have tap water. I was told that they no longer provide it. I then took out my own water bottles for my children, but the staff intervened and told me I was not allowed, citing a rule that this is not permitted in the Netherlands. Furthermore, the staff member’s attitude was extremely poor. As a tourist, this was the first Dutch restaurant we visited, and this experience left us very disappointed. We visited other restaurants in Netherlands and they all happily provide us with tap water.

Excellent restaurant! We had lunch there today; the menu offers a good variety of dishes. I recommend the hamburger if you're really hungry. The rest of the menu is better suited to smaller appetites or if you don't want a heavy meal. The staff is incredibly welcoming and the atmosphere is really pleasant. A wonderful experience!

We had lunch and shared a raspberry white chocolate cake with tea and latte. Food was great, service was fast and efficient. Great stop for a rest and some food after walking around out in the cold wind.
