Very warm welcome... and good food.. The waitresses were very friendly and kind... there were lots of people and they reserved a table for 10 people for us... we waited 15 minutes... great!!👍👍👍👍👍👍

Loved every bite!! The food was so flavorful and fresh. I highly recommend if you were visiting the Zaanse Schans windmills to cross over the bridge to have lunch here on the patio.

Zaans schans. To visit at all costs... Yes, pretty mills, but above all an old town where it feels like Disneyland, superb houses, you have the impression of having taken a step 2 centuries ago... We quickly got back in place with the lineup of range rovers, cayennes and Porsche turbos.

Very good food and service, the coffee was delivered to my table early so by the time I had my luch it was a bit cold. However the waitress was very friendly and the food was also very good.

I ordered a Capatone, if I remember correctly, and it was delicious with its eggplant and such. I recommend it.

Characteristic place, I tried a plateful place that I really appreciated. Onion is a typical ingredient of this place, it is present in most dishes. The potatoes are exactly how they make them here in Amsterdam: larger than in Italy, crunchy and with skin. The staff is helpful and courteous. The kitchen is open to view, so you can see what they are preparing. There isn't much chatter in the place and this is also greatly appreciated by me.

We went to this restaurant for the fact that the table in the sun was available. We asked the waitress if we could sit there, she said yes. 20min later after we had just placed our order a waiter comes and asks us to move to a table in the shade because they had a party of 8 who wanted a table. We asked for them to save a table in the sun for us where 4 people where seated and said they were just leaving. The waiter refused saying “it was already reserved”, the truth is it was because we were 3. The people left and nobody went on the table for another 20min. What a bad customer service! Never have I ever seen a restaurant that kicks people off a table once they have ordered. What a shame!

I am a taxi driver and I brought six Chinese tourists to this restaurant. But I wasn't allowed to use the toilet. They said that the toilet was not convenient for me to use because there were a lot of people using it now. Actually, I can order a cup of coffee and use the toilet. But I'm not interested in this place anymore.

Nice place where you can have a nice lunch. The place is fine and various the menu. I recommend if you want to have a fast lunch.

Popped in for lunch after visiting Zaanse Schans and enjoyed a delicious beef spread and some assorted fried Dutch snacks including bitterballen, frikandel and krokets. Our food was great, the servers were helpful and the atmosphere was lovely overall. Highly recommend stopping for lunch or a drink if you’re in the area- it’s only a 5 min walk across the bridge from Zaanse Schans!

The place is really nice. Not too crowded. Tha staff was nice and they were quick to bring the food and drinks. Nice place to visit after a walk to visit the windmils...

Before the afternoon visit to Zaanse Schans, two of us stopped in this nice place, encouraged by the good reviews and the presence of gluten-free alternatives. Really good food, very fast service and average prices. We had lunch outside and it was really nice in the sun. According to the person I was with, the gluten-free bread was fabulous.

We ate lunch outside and everyone really enjoyed their meals! The meatballs were great (not pictured).

We arrived at the venue and immediately took our seats. After a while they came and asked us for drinks and brought us the food menu. After 5 minutes they brought us drinks and then, after at least another 20 minutes and two requests to order no one took our order, serving two other tables that arrived after us. We paid for our drinks and left. Bad service.

Had a delicious lunch on the cozy terrace. The staff was very friendly, hospitable and cheerful (which is unfortunately not 'normal' these days). Nice place, worth repeating.

The pizza looked like it was made in Italy. Pizza sauce and dough were really good. Their creamy apple cake was also really nice, but the cream could have been a little thicker. Thank you for your friendliness.

I was in Zaanse Schans with my daughter, and after the visit to the village we decided to stop and eat in this place, which we thought was very nice and welcoming! We ate very well, had the Meatballs and the Crispy Chicken sandwich, delicious. The waitresses were really nice and kind. I recommend it!!

Loved the food here! Small and cute place and even thought we came with a big group, waiters were really nice and did their beat to accommodate us. Food was served quick, place is warm and not too loud and cozy. I recommend trying their soups with the bread, the tomato soup was really good as well as their meatball dish!

We went here for lunch as a surprise for my mother. Reserved table and received a warm welcome. The menu is diverse, so there is something for everyone. We opted for a brie sandwich and chicken club sandwich. Both very tasty and prepared with care. Staff is hospitable and friendly, involved. The decor is also very tasteful and the location is great. A short walk from Zaanse Schans. Recommended and we will definitely come back.

Too bad. The service is with no smile. If you are a tourist expect to buy still water since the tap water is only available to locals.

Op maandag ochtend was restaurant al bijna vol...gelukkig hadden we gereserveerd. Ondanks drukte service was vriendelijk en snel. Menu is goed en veelzijdig .keuzes voor iedereen vis vlees vega en vegan . Zelf had ik Clubsandwich kip . Ik heb tomaat allergie en hier werd goed rekening mee gehouden. Inrichting is heel mooi en past goed bij de omgeving Bezoek naar Wolfsend is een aanrader

Their menu has many options and is extremely delicious. It is a place run by very caring female employees. The menu, which included pumpkin soup, was incredibly good in a freezing cold weather. The prices are very affordable compared to the center of Amsterdam. If we come here again, we would come again without hesitation..💕

Llegamos al lugar de casualidad buscando un lugar donde comer. Ofrecen un menú de 14 euros con varios platos, una sopa del día, que en este caso fue de cebolla, muy rica, por cierto. Una croqueta gigante sobre una rebanada de pan y una especie de ensaladilla de atún sobre lechuga y otra tostada de pan. No acabo de entender lo de servir tanto pan pero en general la comida está muy bien por ese precio teniendo en cuenta que los precios de los restaurantes en general son muy elevados. El lugar es muy bonito y acogedor, el servicio diez en amabilidad y eficacia. Llaman la atención la limpieza y los detalles de los aseos. Muy recomendable.

Beautiful and cozy Dutch restaurant which makes you want to stay there all day long. Service is pleasant and they never say no to your special orders, as long as you are overly specific about what you want. Very professional. Food and drinks are out of this world. I just visit this place every time I'm in Zaandam.

Don't come with dogs.if they barking once you will be requested to leave. For that use a sticker on the door to forbid dogs.

Dog owners are better advised to find another place for dining. Despite the place having a lovely local small restaurant charm, as a dog owner, I cannot recommend this place. I entered with 2 friends, each one of us with their dog. One of our dogs barked (not so loudly) a couple of times during the first 10 minutes we were there. As we were ordering the food, the staff told us that if that continues, it would be best if we found another restaurant. They were polite, but nonetheless, the message was clear. Naturally and sadly, we did not feel comfortable for one minute after that warning and left sooner than originally planned (even though our dogs were not causing any noise other than a couple of barks in total the whole 30 min we were there). If your dog makes any kind of noise, no matter how frequent or loud, consider other places would be my strong suggestion. The truffles were nice, and the service was friendly, too, if we put aside the warning / invitation to leave. That's why the second star.

Loin de l'agitation des moulins de Zaanse et pourtant à 5 min à pied. Accueil chaleureux et avec le sourire. On a pris un excellent pumpkin spice latte et un Chai latte. Des boissons chaudes généreuses et bien présentées avec un petit gâteau savoureux. Ambiance cosy avec des jolis fauteuils et un cadre très agréable.

The fish combination menu was incredible, just what we needed to finish the walk.

My mother was the first to try the new dish “high lunch Wolf”. All kinds of small snacks from the menu and a soup for 2 people. It was very tasty and very varied. Highly recommended! Gr.

Top place, top service. The host was awesome he was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the burger and hot dog. The restaurant itself was super comfortable and nicely decorated.

Nice atmosphere and convenient location since there’s not many places to eat in this town. However, the service is not good, I was refused a glass of tap water. Seriously? They told me if everyone asked for tap water the wouldn’t make money… You can eat the same food in the bakery next door since they serve nothing special.

In this place you can eat and also drink coffee. We had some coffees and they gave us a very delicious piece of pasta.

Can't recommend this place enough if you're in the area visiting the windmills or riding to Zaandijk just to eat lunch here! Very friendly and efficient staff, great bread, bitterballen, kroketten and soup; hearty portions and very quick service. Coffee was a pleasant surprise too! Absolutely recommended for lunch or a quick snack stop!

This place is simply delicious, I recommend you eat here, it is economical and they have an exquisite soup, its name is “zucchini soup” I highly recommend it, I paid only 39 euros and it is very worth it
