Highly recommended place to enjoy an excellent pizza!!!

A disgrace... we made a reservation, and when we arrived, the restaurant was full and 10 people were waiting... We ended up at 7 p.m. with nothing... Frankly, disgraceful.

Incredible! I recommend it 100%. Very friendly staff and absolutely delicious food.

The food was very disappointing! Pizza was big as a portion( the dough ) but no taste..only few salsiccia pieces and lots of cheese. It felt like fried than baked. Gnocchi was full of tomato paste.. And super pricey in general.

Bad quality of food. Ilprepared meals. Extremely high prices for the quality and the quantity offered. Generally not quite a good experiemce.

I had lunch with my family, four of us. Extremely slow service!! ...and the place was almost empty!! We waited over half an hour for a bruschetta, and even though we'd asked for it as an appetizer, it arrived with two of the four courses, so two of us ate while the other two had to wait another half an hour!!! The quality is very good, as is the pizza, but the wine, water, and soft drinks are very expensive and the quantity is small considering the price. Overall, the quantities are small and the prices are high. Coffee isn't mentioned on the menu, so we don't know the price, which according to the waitress, who works there and doesn't even know how much it costs, is between €3 and €4!!!!

The pasta is really good, but the service is even better! We loved our waitress who answered all our questions and gave us suggestions ❤️🍝 EDIT: My previous review was for 5 stars, but after my last experience I had to come back and give 1 star. I got a carbonara to go and they literally gave me 24 pieces of pasta, with the worst tasting sauce, it tasted like it was out of date and not to mention the tiny tiny portion, which you can see also compared to my photo eating at the restaurant from a year ago, it is literally almost half the amount of food. When they handed me the box to go it was covered and I thought it was accidentally empty bc it was so light. When I asked is this the food? They said yes. I opened the box and I saw the tiny portion and I said this is the portion? They said yes this is one portion. And I had to pay 19€ for this? Just terrible.

Excellent and truly Italian food. Good service and atmosphere too. We will be back soon with great pleasure. Highly recommended. 5 stars deserved!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently went to this pizzeria, and to my surprise, it was quite disappointing. The positives are the dough and the service, but the toppings and cooking were very disappointing. Three out of four pizzas ordered were burned on the bottom, and very burned. The toppings were truly meager, bordering on tourist pizza. I ordered the pizza with mortadella, and there was only one large slice of thin mortadella on the pizza, stracciatella missing from half the pizza and very little on the other half. The pizza with truffle seemed like a plain pizza, and the pizza of the day with porchetta, which was almost rationed on the pizza, almost disappearing as it was placed in tiny pieces. The only pizza that could be saved was the diavola, but that was burned on the bottom. I've eaten at much better pizzerias in Amsterdam, but I highly recommend it.

Great place to taste authentic Italian flavors!

Really high quality italian cuisine. Parmesan cheese is to die for here. The food was served accordingly & had incredible flavour. Really lovely Resturant. The pizza was divine.

Cozy restaurant with tasty pizzas

I regularly ordered Calzone here via Uber. Today I received some kind of crap in a slight resemblance of focaccia dough. Seriously? Saving on the pizza dough now? The place has officially hit rock bottom!!

This pizzeria has two big areas. We didn’t like that the waitress was trying to force us to sit on a specific table, while that area was empty… food was good and the service was fast…

We had a very pleasant evening with delicious food, especially the pasta. The pizza of the day with 'lemon jam' was also very tasty and innovative in taste. Highly recommended if you are a lover of authentic flavors and top hospitality!

A very pleasant place to have dinner and wine. Pizza with traditional Italian dough is very tasty. The tiramisu for dessert was an excellent choice to conclude the meal.

Been here twice in the last week. It’s so delicious. Very fresh and authentic ingredients - everyone working here is from southern italy, and the pasta was al dente - molto perfetto

Pizza is extremely average at best, everyone raves but I just don’t get it.

Delicious and simple pizzas at Mangia Pizzeria. Very pure Italian flavors. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for our order even though it was not busy at all in the restaurant. Price-quality ratio is more than okay.

If you are looking for the real southern Italy food experience this is the place to go. Amazing pizza and street food. Real tradition and excellent quality.

The vegetarian lasagne was mostly mozzarella and it made me feel a bit sick, there were hardly any vegetables in it except for a few mushrooms. Was expecting more as I love their pizza!

Mangia pizza used to be my favorite pizzeria in town till tonight. Had an absolutely terrible experience tonight. We made reservations via Google 45 min ago - because slots were available. On getting there we were told to wait for 10 min. After 10 min another server brusquely told us it would be 35 min and why did we reserve so late. Please fix your reservation system if you don’t want to admit customers instead of blaming them. All forgiven, we were finally ushered into their Pasta Bar next door. First we get a menu for pizza, we request if we can see the pasta menu as well. On enquiry, we’re told we can either order pizza or pasta. Given it was busy, we understood. The server came 10 min later, we place our order and he says 1 hr for pizza. Would’ve appreciated being told earlier, but we go for pasta and an appetizer. They took the order incorrectly, got one with mortadella and then on being pointed out, we get the same dish minus the mortadella. All cold. Then comes the pasta, mine was a tagliatelle with mushrooms - so cold that the mushrooms had started to form a gelatinous layer on top, it almost looked bad and further not seasoned at all. Even the shaved truffles could rescue the pasta Extremely disappointing experience, and will not be coming back again. Mangia pizza is the only pizzeria I would go to order from, they’ve lost a loyal customer.

If you want pasta you are in the right restaurant, not many choices, but those that offer only delicious and high quality!! I recommend taking a tour.

Went here for a special deal (50% off all dishes) with the family, and we were not disappointed at all! Loved my Paccheri ai frutti di mare, with a bit of chili oil it tastes even better. They also have a pizza bar next door.

The pasta alle vongole were lit! They tasted like Italy - it was an exquisite experience. Actually, all the dishes were good, and the staff was lovely. Would definitely recommend to any pasta lover!

I try to be very self conscious when leaving a review. In this case, I am more than happy to leave 5 ⭐️ rating. The meal was exceptional to say the last. The product served are authentic and sourced from Italian regions, mind you! Our waiter Lucas provided us the best restaurant experience I ever had for a long time. A pure, genuine Italian restaurant with Italian staff and Italian vibe. I am at lost of words to recommend this place. If you’re in the vicinity and are looking for a place to have an exceptional culinary and service experience, don’t look any further. This is the best restaurant place you will find around. In 1 word: AMAZING 🤩!

Wat een fijne plek, en ècht Italiaans! We konden niet kiezen, dus bestelden het verrassingsmenu van de chef. Het ene gerecht was nog lekkerder dan het andere! Heerlijk gegeten, goede, vriendelijke service en een sfeervol interieur! Ik kom zeker terug!

Alleen om de geweldige service zou je al terugkomen. Wij kwamen om 21:00 aan en werden nog steeds hartelijk ontvangen. restaurants waar het personeel overkomt alsof ze hun werk leuk vinden zijn schaars, maar bij Mangia Pasta Bar spatte het enthousiasme er vanaf. Ook het eten is heerlijk. Wij hadden een plank met kaas en vlees waaraan je proeft dat deze met zorg is uitgekozen. Verder zijn wij gegaan voor 2 pasta's en wat rode wijn. Toen wij weg gingen kregen wij nog een heerlijk glaasje limoncello van het huis. 5 sterren voor de service, maar ook absoluut voor het eten! Volgende keer gaan wij de bijbehorende pizzeria uitproberen!

We came across this restaurant while on a search to eat somewhere and decided to go to Mangia Pasta Bar. We were warmly welcomed by Luca who made us feel like long lost friends. Pasta was Al dente and cooked to perfection. The service was amazing. The food was amazing, it was one of the best experiences we have had in a while. We definitely recommend this restaurant if you ever come to Amsterdam.

The moment you walk in you are greeted by the staff who takes care in making this experience very unique. The service was super from entry to leaving and the guy invited us on free Prosecco which says a lot on how the restaurant treats their customers. Food selection was interesting, wide and catering to all tastes. I loved the flavors that feels a bit homemade. Not the best pasta I tried but I have to say they rank high on the taste as well. A must try specially that it’s located next to the vondelpark.

The staff was very friendly and the ambiance in the restaurant is very nice. However, the pasta itself was quite disappointing. We ordered some bread to start, the lemon pasta and the pasta with gamba’s. First of all, the bread was quite stale, but the olive oil was nice (but not amazing). The portion size of the pasta was quite small. Which is okay, if the dish itself is extraordinary. But, unfortunately it wasn’t. The pasta with gamba’s had 5 small Dutch shrimps (not gamba’s) and was cooked, slightly, past al dente. The lemon pasta lacked the bright notes of lemon (I couldn’t even find any lemon zest) and the sauce was completely broken. Instead of a creamy emulsified sauce we ended up with overcooked pasta, stringy blobs of cheese, oil and lemon juice. In conclusion the quality of the dishes do not meet the price. Honestly I could’ve made a better pasta myself. The kitchen of this new restaurant has work to do.

Ein echter Gaumenschaus für Pasta-Liebhaber. Freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung und obwohl wir keine Reservierung hatten, lies sich noch ein Plätzchen für uns finden. Als Vorspeise Caprese welche richtig lecker und sehr gut portioniert war. Carbonara super lecker, aber für mich als guter Esser eine etwas zu kleine Portion 🤭. Nachtisch mega fein und hausgemacht. Schön fand ich auch, dass es alkoholfreies Bier gibt. Preis/Leistung passt und wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Grazie mille
