Gold standard of a contemporary Persian restaurant great kebabs and generous margarine and butter mixed with grill juices, sublime experience went there twice but the only thing I don't recommend is Faloodeh as it was a little too thick and doughy but presentation and syrup is still phenomenal!

This resturant has a defendable food and even some items like lamb shank is very good, however it seriously has a font end problems. The staff are rude without any proper training. Reviewing this resturant breaks my heart as the kitchen does a good job, however the service is just ruining their effort. As I said not only the staff were rude and incompetent, they even did not know watch food their are serving. The could not deliver the drinks correctly to people, they mixed up the rice and they delivered a total chaos. Honestly their problem is pretty simple, the do not have any system for their service, neither the tables has responsible personal, nor the service tasks.

we had lunch there today , Kubideh and Kabab Torsh. I and my husband got sick immediately after. I had to leave the place in the middle of eating. The kubide meat was raw in the middle and Kebab torsh was served incredibly stiff. The staff were super nice.

Yesterday I visited manoto Restaurant with my friends and I absolutely loved it. The food was amazing, full of authentic flavors, and everything was fresh and well prepared. I tried KHORESHT GHEYME AND SALAD SHIRIZI AND DOUGH 😍😍😍 Besides that The atmosphere had such a great vibe, and it honestly gave me a feeling of being back home in Iran. The staff were also very kind, welcoming, and professional, which made the whole experience even better. I really appreciate it🤍

The food is good, but the staff need to improve their service. They make you feel rushed while you’re eating. We were a group of four, and as soon as two of us finished, they cleared our plates while the other two were still eating. We found this quite rude and disrespectful

No tahdig served. Kabab was mediocre

We came to celebrate with 4 people, made reservations at 18.30. We ordered a bottle of wine, the waitress put the bottle on the table with glasses so we could help ourselves. No pouring, no tasting. We barely had our starters and the main courses were already on the table. We ordered the dolmeh. It was unnessesarily greasy, and it came with a surprisingly huge salad that looked like a warzone. It came with raw!!! mushrooms. Mushrooms are considered best to eat cooked because of bacterias they contain. The worst was one of the dolma’s had a molded flavour, probably the wine leave that wasn’t conserved properly. When mentioned to the staff she said they don’t have controll over the taste of the wine leaves, laughed and left. The children shared a chicken that was very dry. After one hour and a half we were unkindly requested to sit outside because the table was needed for other guests. Of course we declined this rude request qnd we stayed put and finished our drinks. May be its wise to take less reservations so the guests can have a more enjoyable evening, aside from the cooking that needs definately more finesse. Never in our restaurant experiences have we experienced such an unwelcoming atmososphere. We were basically told to leave while we still had drinks. It felt really uncomfortable. We finished our drinks and went to pay the bill. Nobody asked us if we enjoyed or gave us any attention. We left with very unsettling feelings. Never again and would not reccommend this restaurant. I think the Persian culture is more about hospitality and good food than they would ever know. Don’t waste your money or time here.

We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated eventhough we had made a reservation but it was worth the wait! Tasty food, big portions, enough to still your hunger. It was my first time in a Persian restaurant and I am impressed with the food. And the deserts, you can't choose, they are all so good. We will definitely come back next time we are in Amsterdam.

We have visited Manoto several times now, and unfortunately, we have had the same negative experience every time. The biggest problem is the service. There are multiple staff members walking around, but the service is far below par. When serving, guests are frequently expected to take the plates from the wait staff themselves. After the main course, the table is not cleared or cleaned, resulting in desserts being served on a dirty table. If you want to take food away, you are simply handed a container and have to pack it yourself. We advise management to take a look at how hospitality and service are performed in a good Dutch restaurant. There is much to be learned there regarding customer focus, service, and table service. The food was also disappointing. The Kabab Koobideh bears little to no resemblance to a traditional Koobideh as one would expect. The taste and texture were not authentic. It even seemed as if chicken had been mixed into the minced meat, which is very unusual for a traditional Koobideh. Given the recurring bad experiences, we will not be returning here. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant to others either. Good service, attention to the guest, and knowledge of the hospitality industry simply seem to be lacking here.

I ate here yesterday and my experience was very disappointing. The meat was served raw and was also very fatty. Additionally, there was an older woman present who behaved in a racist and disrespectful manner. The customer service also left much to be desired. All in all, not a pleasant experience and I would not recommend this place.

One of the best Iranian restaurants in the city.

We ordered the Vaziri. The chicken was tasty and well-cooked, and the rice was freshly prepared. However, the portion of rice was quite small. Unfortunately, the koobideh was not as good as we expected and did not have the same quality we remembered from previous visits. We hope the quality of the koobideh can improve and return to the standard it used to have. We also ordered Faloodeh Bastani for dessert, but it was quite average and nothing special.

I suggest checking how long you’re allowed to stay before sitting down. They didn’t allow us to order dessert and never mentioned there was a time limit.

Decent Iranian food if you are in Amestrdam! Dont forget to order the tea at the end

The rice had an unpleasant smell, the service was terrible, and after an hour they wanted us gone. They asked every 10 minutes if they could clear the table while we were still eating. I complained about it, but we had to leave the place after 1.5 hours, regardless of whether we were finished or not. I was a regular customer and had been coming here for years, but I will not be returning after this experience.

The food is good but the atmosphere of the restaurant is not good at all. It is more like a public bathhouse than a restaurant. It is so crowded and noisy that you get dizzy and they play loud music as if you went to a disco and not a restaurant. Apart from the chef, none of the staff in this restaurant are professional.

The service here is completely unacceptable. Despite having a confirmed reservation, we waited 20 minutes just to be seated, which shows total disorganization and no respect for customers’ time. It got worse after that — we waited another 10 minutes just to place an order, even after repeatedly trying to get the staff’s attention. Being ignored like this is frustrating and completely unprofessional. Food quality: The food was genuinely good — flavorful and well prepared — but it’s nowhere near enough to make up for such poor, slow, and careless service.

Review: A disappointing experience We had high expectations, but unfortunately, the food was far from the authentic Persian quality we are used to. The food: The rice: The smell was unpleasant, and it was clear that a cheap variety of rice had been used. Joojeh Kebab: So much lemon was used that the flavor of the chicken was completely lost; it was not tasty at all. Kabab Koobideh & Barg: The Koobideh was disappointing. The Kabab Barg had a strong bloody smell, and it was clear that the meat was from an old cow; the quality was very low. Ash Reshteh: It contained walnuts and garlic, which is not supposed to happen and did not improve the taste. Faloodeh: For dessert, we ordered Faloodeh, but the strands looked like uncooked pasta and were very hard. Value: The food is absolutely not worth the high price. We had hoped for authentic cooking techniques by an experienced Persian chef, but that was completely lacking here. Service and Hygiene: The service was good and the restaurant looked reasonably clean at first glance. However, the glasses were dirty; there were clearly water and soap stains on them. Conclusion: I am not willing to visit this restaurant again. I hope these mistakes will be rectified in the future.

A very bad experience. The service was absolutely zero, the food arrived cold, and the drinks were warm. While we were eating, a beer was brought in the middle of the meal. Everything was chaotic and of poor quality. This restaurant is absolutely not recommended.

I ordered 2 kubide to take away. The food had no vegetables (which it is supposed to have). And half an onion with it for 2 meals was really low. Also, half a grilled tomato with every meal (normally it should be 3 or 4 whole tomatoes). Hope this is read and better service is expected. Not okay!!!!

Even though we had a reservation for 4 people, they gave us a table for two. We told the staff several times that we had booked for 4, but they just said they didn't have a bigger table available. If a restaurant accepts a reservation, they should have enough space for that number of people. When our food came, the plates for 4 people were not fit the small table that half of each plate was hanging off the edge. They could have easily fallen on the floor with the smallest bump. The food quality was very poor. The Koobideh kebab tasted strongly of onion and was not cooked well inside. The Joojeh kebab was tasteless, tough, and extremely dry. I can honestly say it was the worst Joojeh kebab I have ever had in a restaurant. The only positive thing was their Doogh. It was tasty, but overpriced. This one star is only for that drink. To make things worse, the toilet was dirty and had no soap. I'm really surprised by all the positive reviews for this place. This was my worst experience with an Iranian restaurant in the Netherlands. I will never go back and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I was surprised by the standard of the restaurant. I expected it to be better, given the many advertisements and praise. Overall, the food is average. The food options are very limited. If they added hummus, it would be great. The restaurant is small, so it's best to book in advance if you want a nearby, spacious table.

Very chaotic service! The food quality is good, but no matter what time you reserve a table, you always have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a table to become available. It feels more like a snack bar (eat quickly and leave) than a restaurant where you want to have a pleasant evening. Even though we'd already asked for the main course to be served later when we ordered it, it arrived so quickly that we hadn't even finished the starter. I also have the feeling the kebab isn't freshly made; it feels like everything is prepared the same day and then simply reheated for each order. No, I won't be trying this restaurant again.

We entered based on the ratings from google maps, the place had only 3 tables with customers and the rest were empty, staff pointed where to set which was unpleasant place right next to other customers and the whole place was empty, we asked to go to another table near the window with more light they said okay, then they came to us and suggested to move to another two person table at the last corner isolated near the wall so we sat next to the table which was a bit spacious, they came to us told us to move again as this table is for 3 person not 2.. so we decided to leave as we did not fell welcome!

Food was really bland, the cutelry was dirty the cups were dirty, the tables and wc were not cleaned, even the salt and pepper dispenser was dirty. it was super busy with only 2 people taking our orders, things were forgotten, after we finished our food our table wasnt cleaned out everything was just left on the table I asked for persian tea got earl grey.. not a good representation of Persian food, athmosphere and hospitality

The "eat as quickly as possible and leave" show! What a disappointment!! The staff's hurried atmosphere immediately hits you upon entering. Even though we had a reservation, tables had to be shuffled around, and we were "directed" to where to sit. We were almost pushed into a chair. "Only English," the woman taking our drinks orders very unfriendlyly ordered us. Any questions about the menu? No thanks, no time! Or was the iPad battery almost dead... The dishes were placed in front of us without explanation. What's what and for whom? You had to figure it out yourself. Oh, wait a minute, one of the waitresses recognized something: "Spinache!" And well, now we know. While we were still enjoying our appetizer, the main course was dropped on the table. Each of us was given a plate, but the wrong one. Would they just take the appetizers with them? No, just leave them there, it's not finished yet. Outside, the crowd is growing, trying to get in. Inside, it's a scrum of people with barely any space. Everything moves at a rapid pace, with the staff staring intently. You don't even dare ask for a drink. The food was simply delicious, and we would have loved to enjoy this adventure even more. It wasn't the food's fault that we'll never be back. Judging by recent reviews, this is Manoto's new trend. We're done in 45 minutes, including paying.

I was very disappointed with the behavior of the staff, which I found to be unprofessional and discriminatory. I did not feel welcomed at this establishment. Despite requesting the menu several times, none of the staff responded to me, while other customers received noticeably better service.

Unprofessional, and unprecedented. They brought our food in such a hurry, and then cleaned up very quickly, and we didn't get a chance to order dessert! And then, very quickly, the next guests were literally standing next to our table, waiting for us to leave! All of this within half an hour. Incomprehensible.

We used to come here often, but now it's always a hassle with making a reservation and having to get out quickly, which is why I unfortunately never come here anymore.

The best thing about it, may God curse you, is that the bathroom has a bidet.
