The quality of the food was very good. It has a beautiful decor and a very nice environment. The staff is very friendly. Definitely recommended.

Even though we had a reservation for 4 people, they gave us a table for two. We told the staff several times that we had booked for 4, but they just said they didn't have a bigger table available. If a restaurant accepts a reservation, they should have enough space for that number of people. When our food came, the plates for 4 people were not fit the small table that half of each plate was hanging off the edge. They could have easily fallen on the floor with the smallest bump. The food quality was very poor. The Koobideh kebab tasted strongly of onion and was not cooked well inside. The Joojeh kebab was tasteless, tough, and extremely dry. I can honestly say it was the worst Joojeh kebab I have ever had in a restaurant. The only positive thing was their Doogh. It was tasty, but overpriced. This one star is only for that drink. To make things worse, the toilet was dirty and had no soap. I'm really surprised by all the positive reviews for this place. This was my worst experience with an Iranian restaurant in the Netherlands. I will never go back and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I was surprised by the standard of the restaurant. I expected it to be better, given the many advertisements and praise. Overall, the food is average. The food options are very limited. If they added hummus, it would be great. The restaurant is small, so it's best to book in advance if you want a nearby, spacious table.

Very chaotic service! The food quality is good, but no matter what time you reserve a table, you always have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a table to become available. It feels more like a snack bar (eat quickly and leave) than a restaurant where you want to have a pleasant evening. Even though we'd already asked for the main course to be served later when we ordered it, it arrived so quickly that we hadn't even finished the starter. I also have the feeling the kebab isn't freshly made; it feels like everything is prepared the same day and then simply reheated for each order. No, I won't be trying this restaurant again.

We entered based on the ratings from google maps, the place had only 3 tables with customers and the rest were empty, staff pointed where to set which was unpleasant place right next to other customers and the whole place was empty, we asked to go to another table near the window with more light they said okay, then they came to us and suggested to move to another two person table at the last corner isolated near the wall so we sat next to the table which was a bit spacious, they came to us told us to move again as this table is for 3 person not 2.. so we decided to leave as we did not fell welcome!

Food was really bland, the cutelry was dirty the cups were dirty, the tables and wc were not cleaned, even the salt and pepper dispenser was dirty. it was super busy with only 2 people taking our orders, things were forgotten, after we finished our food our table wasnt cleaned out everything was just left on the table I asked for persian tea got earl grey.. not a good representation of Persian food, athmosphere and hospitality

This place is amazing! The food was beyond my expectations – absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Everything was perfect: the staff were polite and welcoming, the place was spotless, and the atmosphere was really nice. Definitely one of the best spots. A solid five out of five!

A distinctive restaurant. I ordered Koobideh Kebab from them, and the kebab and rice were flawless. The best Iranian restaurant you can eat in. You must visit it.

The food is delicious and I recommend it. The price is reasonable, the service is nice and fast, the tables are nice and comfortable, and the parking spaces are small and expensive.

The "eat as quickly as possible and leave" show! What a disappointment!! The staff's hurried atmosphere immediately hits you upon entering. Even though we had a reservation, tables had to be shuffled around, and we were "directed" to where to sit. We were almost pushed into a chair. "Only English," the woman taking our drinks orders very unfriendlyly ordered us. Any questions about the menu? No thanks, no time! Or was the iPad battery almost dead... The dishes were placed in front of us without explanation. What's what and for whom? You had to figure it out yourself. Oh, wait a minute, one of the waitresses recognized something: "Spinache!" And well, now we know. While we were still enjoying our appetizer, the main course was dropped on the table. Each of us was given a plate, but the wrong one. Would they just take the appetizers with them? No, just leave them there, it's not finished yet. Outside, the crowd is growing, trying to get in. Inside, it's a scrum of people with barely any space. Everything moves at a rapid pace, with the staff staring intently. You don't even dare ask for a drink. The food was simply delicious, and we would have loved to enjoy this adventure even more. It wasn't the food's fault that we'll never be back. Judging by recent reviews, this is Manoto's new trend. We're done in 45 minutes, including paying.

I was very disappointed with the behavior of the staff, which I found to be unprofessional and discriminatory. I did not feel welcomed at this establishment. Despite requesting the menu several times, none of the staff responded to me, while other customers received noticeably better service.

Unprofessional, and unprecedented. They brought our food in such a hurry, and then cleaned up very quickly, and we didn't get a chance to order dessert! And then, very quickly, the next guests were literally standing next to our table, waiting for us to leave! All of this within half an hour. Incomprehensible.

We used to come here often, but now it's always a hassle with making a reservation and having to get out quickly, which is why I unfortunately never come here anymore.

I tried the neck, it's something amazing. It's served with ashbanat bread, and if you don't like ashbanat, I'll serve it with regular bread. The ash rashteh soup is delicious, and the Iranian yogurt is gassy.

I arrived twenty minutes before the restaurant opened. Three employees told me it wasn't allowed to wait inside, even though the restaurant was clearly already open. We had to wait outside in the rain. Five minutes later, other people arrived and were allowed in immediately. My family and I stayed outside in the rain. When I was finally allowed in, I saw that the other guests were already comfortably seated inside. This felt very unfair and unprofessional.

We went at 4 pm and it was already quite full. Dishes arrived quickly, but the service was very rushed the rest of the evening (there was no time for a chat or to check on the food). We sat for a long time with dirty plates in front of us, and had to repeatedly ask for things. It was very hot and not very hygienic (toilets, items were cleared off the floor, and you received your plate/cutlery without washing your hands, lots of candy wrappers and trash on the counter). The food itself was okay.

We were there on a weekday. The food was fine, nothing special. The staff was friendly. The tables were very close together.

We ordered three different dishes (Ghalieh Mahi, Zereshk Polo with Chicken, and Joojeh Kebab with rice) and all of them were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The service was also very friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. A perfect place to enjoy authentic Persian food, highly recommended!

Terrible restaurant!!! To be avoided absolutely from reception to the end. I entered the restaurant, the waitress remained behind the counter with a severe face. When I asked for details about the menu, she lied to me : I asked if they have any dish with vegetables, she answered "no, only rice or bread, but it's the same price". I didn't even ask about the price. Nevermid. Then, after sometime, I saw her serving plates with vegetables and salads to tables next to me. Then when came time to order a desert, after 2 or 3 minutes after she brought me the card, she asked with a bad attitude to move to another table because I was placed at a table she needed to make a table for 3 persons. I immediately left the card on the table and went to the counter to pay and leave. Ah!, I forgot to also mention that the kitchen is open and you can hear the noise during the whole time your are sirting there. Very noisy. Never seen such bad hosting anywhere around the world. And believe me, I travel a lot in almost all continents.

The negatives are as follows: The place was irrationally crowded and busy. The line of people waiting in the hallway and in front of the door was not only chaotic but also completely destroyed any sense of welcome. The small restaurant had also become far too cramped and uncomfortable, with too many tables and chairs for the capacity, and there was no comfort to be found. To our great surprise, we found a hair in one of our dishes. What was even worse than the incident itself was the unprofessional response of the staff; instead of apologizing, they completely denied it. As if we should be surprised that this had even happened! The behavior of the staff and waiters was completely unprofessional. They were in a strange hurry to get us eaten as quickly as possible and out of the restaurant. They conveyed that they only cared about making more money, not about the quality of the customer experience. Overall, it seemed as if no one was taking responsibility, and there was an atmosphere of chaos and disarray; everyone was just winging it. It felt more like an "unsanitary snack bar" than a professional restaurant. Respect for the customer was completely ignored. Instead of admitting the mistake and apologizing for serving poor food, the staff simply whispered to each other and offered no solution to make things right or restore satisfaction. Even when we complained about the quality of the food with the hair, we were met with denial and indifference. I urge the management of this restaurant to monitor staff performance more closely, ensure that personal and family relationships are not confused with professional competence, and not sacrifice quality for quantity and speed of service. Failure to accept responsibility and not apologizing demonstrates unprofessional and rude behavior by the staff and, at the top, the restaurant's management.

Made a reservation a day in advance. When you get there, you still have to wait over an hour and a half, and the service is completely unfriendly. As if it's your fault they're taking too many reservations for you. We're never coming back!!

Even though I had made a reservation on Tuesday for Saturday evening, we still had to wait about 40 minutes. That was very annoying. The atmosphere was tense, as people kept looking at us as if they wanted us to finish quickly so they could be seated. At the end, we also had a discussion about the air conditioning. I had a non persian guest , first time wanted to try Iranian food but I was so disappointed the food served cold, juje kabab was very low quality never recommended that , the rice was not bad but was cold and not even good. Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was extremely crowded and disorganized. Even though we had a reservation, we still had to wait in a long line. Staff were constantly arguing with customers because the “reserved” tables simply didn’t exist. At the end, when paying the bill, they didn’t return the change and simply kept it as if it was their tip. It’s not only about money — customer service matters too, and unfortunately this place doesn’t care about that at all. I would not recommend it.

One of the best Persian restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. As an Iranian, these words carry a lot of weight.

The restaurant left me unimpressed. The interior is pleasant, the service is friendly, and the portions are generous. Doogh was delicious. So, what’s not to like? Unfortunately, the food. It’s overly oily and greasy, with very little seasoning. The meat quality could also be better. For me, there’s not much point in going to a restaurant if the food isn’t enjoyable, no matter how nice the atmosphere is. Persian cuisine can be wonderfully rich and flavorful, but sadly, this place may give visitors the wrong impression of what it can be. Therefore I don’t recommend the place. .

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. They brought the ash after the main dish! Ash is supposed to be a kind of appetizer served before the meal. It was completely stale and extremely spicy as if they had turned leftover food into ash! The gheymeh stew was not fresh at all; it was clearly frozen and hadn’t even been properly reheated!!!

Food and taste and service is top. You can taste the real Persian food and enjoy it. Service is also very good. Highly recommended 👌🏼

It was a wonderful experience! The chicken kebab and the vaziri were amazing, just like the best restaurants in Iran, maybe even better! The meats tasted great and fresh, the cooking was precise and delicious, and everything was prepared with love. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and intimate. I really couldn't believe that I would experience such an authentic Iranian taste abroad. I will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience. We were two guests and walked into the restaurant, but were completely ignored at first. After a few minutes, someone told us the kitchen said they wouldn’t take any orders — without any clear explanation. I’m not sure what the reason was, but the way it was handled felt unwelcoming and dismissive. I hope it was due to an exceptional situation, but it still left a bad impression

The restaurant space is beautiful and modern, but the noise level inside can be quite high when the tables are full. As for the food presentation, as you can see in the photo, the garnish is very simple and rather plain. The Tahfig (crispy Bread) was soft and not crispy at all. The meat was acceptable for me and had a good texture. However, my companions mentioned that the meat had been taken off the heat a bit too early and could have been cooked a little more. The portion of rice might be suitable for women, but I think it should be slightly more generous in general. Overall, compared to other experiences, this restaurant offers decent food quality.

Nice restaurant, the food was good, large portions, and the grilled meat was excellent! It was packed and pleasantly busy on a Wednesday evening.

The service is very poor. The staff is unfortunately bad and doesn't know how to deal with customers. The food was bad and didn't smell good. I really won't repeat the experience, especially because of the poor treatment of the staff.

We had made a reservation but still had to wait outside for over 30 (!) minutes before being seated. The table service was good and friendly, but rushed. The food was mediocre: good portions but rather bland; we all had to add extra salt to our dishes ourselves. It's also quite expensive. Furthermore, we were told to leave fairly soon after finishing our meal so they could give the table to another guest. In short: a decent place, and I've had worse, but not necessarily worth returning, especially not for these prices.

Best Persian food in the Netherlands specially if you want Kebab. The stews are okay, but not exactly the highest quality. But the Kevab and Chicken Kebab is my highest recommendation. Price is affordable. Staffs are nice. The environmet is small and cozy. It is usually packed, so reserve in advance.

The appetizer and main course were served within almost 10 minutes, which was a bit too fast for me! The restaurant's appearance is great, but the staff could dress a bit more formally! An infected piercing on your arm isn't exactly appetizing when you're serving food with short sleeves! And indicating collars instead of putting them on the table is also a no-go in a restaurant! It's a shame; I expected more and would have loved a better review!

The restaurant is very bad in terms of the staff, they have bad attitudes and you feel like you are begging for anything you order, humiliation and bad service. As for the food, we ordered mixed grill for two people and the food was very bad. The smell of meat stuck to our hands even after washing them, and the bread is not their Iranian bread. The prices are expensive and the experience is bad. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a taste for clean and delicious food. I will not repeat the experience and I do not recommend it.

Unfortunately, our experience at Manoto Restaurant in Amsterdam was quite disappointing. As someone familiar with authentic Persian cuisine, I had high hopes — but the food didn’t meet expectations at all. The kebab was overly fatty, more like minced lamb fat (donbeh) than actual meat, and lacked the texture and flavor of real Persian kebab. The rice was dry and chewy, not fluffy as it should be, and the grilled tomato was simply a raw half tomato placed on the plate — far from the classic juicy grilled version we’re used to. Overall, it felt like the quality of ingredients and the cooking were well below standard. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a true taste of Iranian food.

A halal Iranian restaurant in Amsterdam. It has indoor and outdoor seating, and advance reservations are recommended. The service and atmosphere are excellent. The food is delicious and the portions are excellent, especially the lamb kofta. I highly recommend a visit.

I'm updating my review after my 2nd visit. The quality of food is great at this place, but they have serious issue with managing reservations, there is always some people waiting at the entrance to be seated although there is a reservation system. They mention in the reservation that you have a table for 1 hour 15 but then they are always in a rush to get rid of you so that they can sit someone else. On the other hand some people stay seated for 3 hours. I think they need to get more organized.

Note to manager : Give less reservations not to stress your guests to leave after 40 min just to place the new guests, we hardly begged for menu of dessert & the waitress asked us if she can already bring the next guests so we just left! We won't return although the quality of food is very good, unfortunately the whole experience didn't worth it. Saturday eve at 8pm.

It's a shame. The quality has seriously deteriorated. I got sparkling water instead of still water. We didn't get a starter. Could barely talk. In the end, no one had the nerve to ask if I was a satisfied customer or not?… Too bad

I went to the restaurant “Man o To” today. Unfortunately there was a dried cockroach in the carafe of doogh, between the mint leaves! Even when I showed it to the waiter, I didn’t even get a simple apology. We ordered two cokes, but they charged us for three. We were supposed to get €10 back, but they said they only had €4! The waiters didn’t apologize for any of these things…

We ordered Kabab Torsh and a Vaziri platter. The dishes arrived after about four minutes, which shows they’d just been microwaved. The Kabab Torsh was completely undercooked—its meat was visibly red and very tough. Both the koobideh and the chicken skewer on the Vaziri platter were tough and tasteless, too. For that price, the food quality was really poor.
