We ordered Grilled mix, Mahiche, Baqalaqatoq and ghalieh mahi. They were all delicious. Mastmoosir is delicious & the saffron rice is buttery & flavourful.

Just don't waste your money, never experienced such a bad quality. The worst quality I've ever seen in my entire life. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We came here to get Koobideh. The dish came with rice and salad. The koobideh was very dried and grainy. It was very hard to be able to cut it in peaces. I hope they would alter the recepie to make it slightly more tender and juicer. The rice was decent. I think it was Basmati. I liked the design of the restaurant. Old traditional setting with coziness in it. Though the humidity was trapped within the restaurant causing a smell of kitchen taken over the whole restaurant. The service was standard. Nothing to complain. But as a persian restaurant it was not upheld to its identity. The service gave the vibe of an diner by the road rather than a restaurant since the pricing was fit for a semi-fine dining restaurant. Overall I recommend you going there if you crave persian food but can't recommend their koobideh.

After a long and tiring meeting in Amsterdam, this food was truly exactly what I needed! The food was delicious, the hospitality heartwarming, and everything was super fresh. I headed home with a huge smile on my face. The koobideh kebab I took home for my daughter had the real, authentic taste of fresh and delicious meat. All of this demonstrates the top management and the love in this kitchen. A big thumbs up and many thanks to the amazing hostess and the fantastic chef! You really spoiled us.

We celebrated a birthday here and are extremely satisfied! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which we really appreciated. The food was of excellent quality: everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The meat, in particular, was truly exceptionally good. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The food was good and the portions were generous for the price, which is definitely a positive. However, the staff's behavior was truly disappointing. The woman working there was completely unwelcoming and spoke in a sarcastic and derogatory tone the entire time. Even my speech (probably due to my accent) was ridiculed, which I found inappropriate. This made us feel so uncomfortable that we preferred not to order anything extra. If you're looking for somewhere to spoil your mood after a fun day, I definitely recommend this restaurant 😂.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Iranian restaurant. The food quality was poor — the kebab did not taste fresh and the Kashk Bademjan was inedible. On top of that, the staff were rude and unwelcoming, and the owner was not hospitable at all. Overall, both the food and service were far below expectations. I would not recommend this place.

We had a delicious kebab here, and the other dishes were just fine. Reservations are essential on Saturday evening, as the place was full, so the wait for our food was a bit longer, but not inconvenient.

If you’re only looking for relatively decent Iranian food, this place might be okay. But if you value comfort and don’t want to feel constantly watched, judged, or like someone is counting every bite you take, then this is not the place for you. One person stands behind the counter the entire time, closely monitoring customers.

Their Koobideh is delicious, made with high-quality ingredients, and served by a kind, welcoming staff.

After my first order, Shandiez has already let me down three times. The food hasn't been delivered, and it's been debited from my bank account twice. Definitely not recommended.

It has been my regular place when I miss Persian kebab. They offer the tastiest kebab, I have ever tried in NL. Never forget to order Barg or Chenje. The last time I was leaving there, a heron was about to enter, as a customer 😂

On this summer day, we had a wonderful time on the terrace. It faces east, so in the summer, you'll be warm but not in the heat. We started with fresh hummus with bread, dolmas in yogurt, and a fresh salad. For the main course, we had a mixed grill for two. It's unbelievable that this is available at this price: a very good value for money. And friendly service! A perfect opportunity if you want to eat something different and/or don't want to spend too much: this is the place to be!

Bakhtiari: the chicken was tasty, but the rest tasted burnt. The tomatoes were pitch black. If we'd eaten at the restaurant, I would have returned it. The mast o giar wasn't to our liking; better yet, not enough flavor. A huge disappointment. Such a shame. Not for us anymore. No photo, it's already in the trash.

A cozy, family-owned Persian restaurant with a generous menu and welcoming atmosphere. While it doesn't match the top-tier Persian restaurants found outside Iran (like in California), Shandiez offers a modest selection at modest prices. Not too many vegetarian options and no insight into ingredients either. They serve Ab Goosht, a classic Persian stew rarely found abroad, but surprisingly miss Iran’s flagship dish, Ghormeh Sabzi, an essential for anyone introducing Persian cuisine to newcomers. The homie interior and lower price points make it a more casual spot. On busy evenings, service can be quite slow due to overcapacity. Make sure not to bring a stroller, they don’t seem to be very accommodating if you do.

The staff were rude and seemed angry for no reason. Their behavior toward customers was unprofessional and made us feel very unwelcome. Because of this, we decided not to place an order and left immediately. The atmosphere was also unpleasant—definitely not a place we’d return to or recommend. Avoid if you’re looking for good service and a comfortable environment. Rude and unethical. Doesn’t even know the basic rules of customer service. The environment is not interesting at all. I would not recommend. I changed the restaurant without ordering and will never go there again.

A few days ago, my family and I went to this restaurant and ordered Kobideh. The quality of the food was absolutely zero. It's a shame that I paid the money for this restaurant. The Kobideh was unsalted and the rice was hard. It wasn't good at all. 👎

The food itself is of good quality — everything is fresh, tasty and nicely presented. The price-quality ratio is also good for what you get. Unfortunately, I only give 1 star because of the waiting time: over 70 minutes for an order of lamb chops, adana kebab, fries and salad, on a quiet Friday afternoon with hardly any tables occupied. Hopefully they will work on the speed of the service. For us, not worth repeating.

It has become my regular spot now! You shouldn't come here for an Instagram photo shoot and the interior, but for the people and the food!! The service is fast and polite. With a reservation you are guaranteed a spot! You receive the menu quickly and the food arrives at the same time and hot for everyone. I have never eaten such good Iranian food anywhere else. The kebabs but also the traditional stews are delicious. Also recommended as catering for a party! I've had food taken away from time to time, that's also going well! Large portions! Can't finish it? You will then be given a container to take the rest with you if you would like!

Had a nice meal at Shandiez. We remembered the excellent review in the parool (7.5) when we were in Osdorp. Didn't take the specialties but the Mixed Grill with a few extras. Very tasty, more than we could eat, no room for dessert or coffee. Suitable chef/owner, who explained dishes well. Highly recommended in our opinion.

This was the several time we ordered food from this restaurant. The koobideh was extremely stale, and the barg kebab was so tough it was inedible. The last time was just as bad, but we thought it might have been a one-time issue. Unfortunately, after ordering again, we are very disappointed and regret our decision. This will be the last time we order from here. Don't waste your money.

Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our dinner at this restaurant. We were disappointed with the quality of the food and service which didn’t reflect the warmth and richness we typically associate with Persian cuisine. The woman (owner) while clearly proud of her establishment and paintings came across as overly rude, complacent and eager to lecture. Her paintings on the wall contributed to a somewhat negative atmosphere. Not recommended!!!

The aubergine side dish was the most delicious. Shared vegetarian dishes for 6 people with wine came to €20 each.

The worst food I have ever eaten

we visited Saturday 14th September and had an absolutely wonderful experience, amazing food, friendly attentive service, and the restaurant decoration is vibrant and authentic. they speak good English which was helpful for us to . I have read the negative reviews and think they must have been mistaken/gone to a different restaurant as we had a variety of food which was all cooked to the highest standard, with good quality ingredients, such as the lamb Tjentje and Fazenjan Chicken which was some of the best food we had ever tasted and the accompanying rice, salad and chips was also perfect, and good portion sizes; thank you for a fabulous evening.

[My Dutch review is below]: Shandiez Restaurant has good kebabs! I got the 'Shandiez mix' - it's this plate with 3 different kebabs for two people. As a Persian, I gotta say they were super tender and tasty. For starters, I tried the 'Shirazi salad' which was mm…fine, and the 'Zeetunparwarde' which wasn't really my thing. The staff was friendly, and there's plenty of seating with cool Iranian decorations all around. Parking easy too. Delicious, cozy, helpful, great prices

We came at 7:30 on a Monday with very little people but they were already out of fries and rice. Thankfully they did have bread, but we were NOT given enough bread for the 3 dishes we ordered. We ordered koobideh, joojeh kabab, and chinjeh, all of these should have had a bread to replace the rice or the price should’ve been decreased to account for the lack of rice/bread. Because of this I have to give the service a low rating although I do think the service was amicable but in a situation like this you should make exceptions.

What a horrible food, Chinjeh kabab was not even edible. The amount of rice was so little and we find out it was actually from leftover, they give only one bread for three orders. I did a big mistake to take my friend with me. It was such a shame. They don't deserve even one star.

Koobideh and joojeh kabab was decent but the chinjeh kabab tasted like rubber, do NOT order it. The waiter also told us that there was no rice? How is that possible when that is one of the main part of a Persian dish :/ each dish should have rice coming with it but instead we got leftover rice and a little bit of bread and STILL we had to pay full price. We asked for bread saying that we should be compensated for the amount of rice and bread that came with our food but instead we got charged for it. It is too expensive for what we got. Overall, not a good experience, I do not recommend.

Very poor quality food. I made a few comments about the waiting time for the food and they forgot to bring dishes, the woman was able to take criticism. How the staff treats the customer there is a red flag in itself. I was quite disappointed in the taste but that made me sure to never come back again. The djujeh and kebab were tasteless. The cutlery was dirty, that's really unacceptable. At the other restaurant in Amsterdam the staff is very friendly, social and the food is delicious, they were full so that's why we came here, but that is the last time.

I thought I would come here for a nice meal and enjoy the Persian cuisine, the opposite was true :( fries were soaked in oil as if they had been in the deep fryer for too long and no taste, so in my opinion it was also very cheap or oil that had expired I think that your mediocre quality of food deprives you of the right to call the restaurant as it is called, because with that name you should be one of the best. The woman does not seem hospitable and does not chat, she prefers to stand all the time behind the counter until the food has to be served. Not wanting to pay extra staff may work well for the owner's wallet, but extra staff ensures that the owner or manager has his hands free to pay attention to guests. The interior is outdated to say the least and the furniture could use a lick of paint. It is already a mediocre neighborhood in which the restaurant is located and you will not stand out. If you do not want to make some adjustments soon, unfortunately no one will come anymore. The only thing that had any taste was the soda but yes... it wasn't made by them ^^ The first and the last time for me and probably for many.

The chenjeh and joojeh was tender but a bit tasteless . It could have been marinated maybe better or longer.. the koobideh was nice meaty and not fat if you like more fatty kebab its not that. All in all nice experience and nice owners.
