If you really want a good pizza or pasta, this is the place to be! All the staff are also always incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Honestly, the pizza was mediocre to say the least. The mozzarella was flavorless and the tomato sauce was completely bland.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant quite often since it’s close to my home, and I usually like it. But honestly, my last visit was pretty disappointing. It was very crowded on Friday, which I understand, but there simply weren’t enough staff and the service was really messy. I ordered a normal pizza and got a small one instead. I also ordered a glass of red wine for €6, but it was served in a juice glass because they didn’t have enough wine glasses. I know busy evenings can be stressful, but for €6 a glass, I’d expect at least a proper wine glass. 😅 It’s a shame because I’ve been here many times before and never had this kind of experience. Hopefully they can sort things out, because I’d like to keep coming back.

Excellent as always! It's a busy place and cramped, but it feels like being home. The staff are friendly and patient and the pizzas are amazing! I've been celebrating my last 2 birthdays and I'm planning on keeping up this yearly habit!

A good pizzeria just outside Amsterdam. The pizzas were good, as was the lasagna. You can choose the size of your pizza, which is great for a light meal. Good service. I can recommend it.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. You can taste the care and quality of the ingredients from the first bite: Calzone: Perfectly baked, juicy inside, and with a spectacular crust. Pizza Bianca: A delight. Creamy, well-balanced, and with an impeccable base. Mild Salami Pizza: Full of flavor, but not heavy at all. Just the right touch to enjoy a good cured meat. House Pizza (the star of the menu): Simply impeccable. When the dough and the ingredients are good, you don't need to overdo it to have a top-notch pizza. Excellent service and a place to return to again and again. 100% recommended!

Pizzas are expensive for the minimal toppings. Too much processed tomato sauce. Regular pizza: approximately €15.50. The crust is good, but when there's not much on it, it's eaten quickly. The staff is very welcoming, no complaints there. The place is also very noisy. A shame. Given the positive reviews, we were personally disappointed.

Delicious pizzas/carpaccio and incredibly friendly service. The terrace isn't very cozy, but the location simply doesn't lend itself to that. Margherita Tutta La Vita certainly did its best to make the best of it, and fortunately, the food and service make up for it, ensuring we'll be back soon!

This has become a regular spot for me, and I have had lunch here many weekends with friends, working my way through the menu from pasta to different pizzas, and the food has never let me down. The pizza is good, the variety is there, and they handle the typical Italian dishes and drinks well, and at around 20 to 30 euros per person it is fair value for what you get. The setting is part of the fun, the decor is funky and themed, there is seating both inside and outdoors, and if you walk through you can peek at the open kitchen and watch your pizza go into the proper Italian oven. It is an easy, relaxed place for a weekend lunch, and the fact that I have returned so many times says more than any single visit could. Worth booking again for a relaxed weekend lunch with friends, just go hungry and expect it to lean lively rather than quiet.

Despite the good reviews and the warm recommendation from a local, we had a disappointing experience. We were received nicely and the ordered pizzas were on the table super fast, but they seemed like reheated dishes. Bland dough, sauce too sharp and too salty, quite loveless. The mediocre Barbera didn't make up for it.

The dough falls short: it lacks the depth of flavor that proper long fermentation should give, and too often comes out burnt rather than showing the leopard-spotting. The vegetable toppings release too much moisture, leaving the base waterlogged beyond the soft center that's normal for the style. Pre-cooking the vegetables to draw out excess liquid would fix this. That said, neighborhood options are limited, so it remains a reasonable choice

The BEST PIZZAS you will get outside of Italy. The chefs pride themselves on authentic Italian food. This has become our family favorite restaurant. Cozy outdoor seating, coloring pages for kids. Excellent homemade desserts.

Worthless pizza. They charge 3 euros for anchovies, but there are literally only 3 pieces of anchovy on it. I asked for peppers, they weren't even on it, and neither were the mushrooms. And then I paid 17.80 for a pizza. Definitely not worth repeating for me!!!!

An absolutely top-notch place. Everything was fantastic: the service, the food, and the atmosphere. It's an unpretentious place with a very well-executed concept. The pasta, pizzas, and desserts were incredible. They have a rather interesting option: small pizzas, which gives you the chance to try different flavors. Very good quality at a good price.

What can I say, it's my favorite pizza in Amsterdam. If you're reading this, never change your Amico Gio pizza ☺️

🇳🇱 On Saturday, March 21, at 6:24 PM, I ordered two pizzas at Margherita Tutta La Vita. In the end, I had to wait a whopping 46 minutes ⏳. When I asked at 6:55 PM how much longer it would take, I was told to be patient because it was very busy. However, what struck me was that customers who had ordered after me—even with larger orders of five pizzas—were served earlier and received their orders already 😕. At 7:10 PM, I asked about the status of my order again. The employee I had spoken to earlier said something in Italian to the owner. Meanwhile, other waiting customers once again received their orders before me. When the owner subsequently felt insulted by my question, he offered to give me my money back. Shortly afterward, the cook came forward to announce that my pizzas were ready after all. I have eaten and ordered pizzas here often. The owner used to promote his pizzas at the Lindengracht market on Saturdays, so I've known the place for a while. The pizzas are certainly tasty 🍕, but I have never had to wait this long. Additionally, I find the way I was treated absolutely not customer-friendly. Moreover, this is not the first time there have been problems — my order was delivered late before as well. For me, this was the last time. No matter how good the pizzas are, I do not accept this kind of treatment ❌.

The taste and the dishes were good. I asked for a bowl of Bolognese sauce with my pizza because they also make fresh pasta. The guy in the neighborhood said that was possible. However, when the kitchen called about the food, he was scolded for not being able to! Did it arrive ready-made with pasta? Or was the chef too arrogant to even bother serving a request?! Other than that, the taste was delicious! And the tiramisu was good!

On top of that, one of our dishes was completely forgotten. The worst part is that I found a WORM 🪱🪱in my food, which is absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. I also couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable, as 3 out of 4 of us were Asian, and the way we were treated made us wonder if that may have played a role. Their excuse was that one of the cooks is autistic. Not only is that an inappropriate justification, but it does not excuse such a serious hygiene issue. I have never experienced anything like this. This place seriously needs a health inspection. Avoid at all costs.🤢

Very disappointing and concerning experience. We waited almost one hour outside in the cold despite free tables being visible, with inconsistent explanations from the staff. After finally being seated, one of the four ordered dishes was forgotten. More seriously, a large larva/worm was found inside a pasta dish that had already been served and partially eaten. This is a serious food safety issue. Photos were taken immediately. When we asked for explanations, the situation was handled in an unprofessional and confusing manner, without a clear or reassuring response regarding hygiene standards. Given the health risk involved, this experience is unacceptable. Customers should be able to trust that food served in a restaurant is safe and properly prepared. I am sharing this review to warn others and for public health awareness.

As far as I'm concerned, the pizza is better than the ones I eat here in Italy. I accidentally ordered the pizza without tomato sauce. And for my first time, I really enjoyed it.

Had a great experience at this friendly restaurant. The pizza is Italian style and was delicious. Staff is Italian and spoke good English. Food was served quickly. Prices are fair. Menu has a lot of options. They also sell ice cream and Italian products. There are tables inside and outside. Toilets were clean. Easy access (close to a metro station) I recommend!

Nothing fancy, but that is a great description for a pizza place. Everything works, lots of choices. Perhaps a bit loud, service might be a little distracted, no biggie. Solid food.

On Nov 14th 2025, I ordered 1 Lasagna and 1 Pizza via the THUISBEZORGD app for delivery - order no. X46XCX, total of 31 EUR. Only after having paid with my credit card, it was said there was no delivery service for the restaurant and I would have to pick up the order in person. I immediately called the restaurant Tutta La Vita on and asked to cancel it. One person attended, passed the phone to another person, that one said they were going to cancel it and I would have my refund within 3 days. +3 weeks passed and no refund has been requested/processed. The app (THUISBEZORGD.nl) was updated with 'Order Collected” but there was NO collection, NO delivery and NO refund yet. A sequence of events which just highlight a very bad service and bad behaviour. I will not order from Margherita Tutta La Vita again and recommend you to do the same.

Tried two different pizzas and were delicious!

We had a wonderful meal. We don't particularly enjoy the atmosphere, but the food was fantastic. We had a starter (carpaccio) and pasta (tagliatelle with cream), and it was absolutely delicious. The service was also excellent. It was a shame no one spoke Dutch.

The best pizza in the Amsterdam area I had so far. In summer they have a nice terrace as well and service is friendly and quick.

We came as a walk in on Friday evening with 3 people and 2 dogs. Staff was awesomely accommodating, we were able to sit outside with the heater on while the restaurant was packed. Amazing delicious food and great service, would recommend!!

What a misery was the experience (only) this time, owing to the total lack of empathy of the young girl serving at the tables! We had not reserved, so we could not get a table. All fine until here. While my family was reflecting on what to order to take away in the absence of a table, my husband (62) asked if he could use the toilet. “No, it is only for clients! Orders of my superiors.” I was lucky that I (60) didn’t even think of asking for permission. After having been there dozens of times before, I could never imagine that a couple of regular senior clients would ever be denied use of the toilet while ordering take away. Shameful! I will never be back.

Pizza was bigger and tastier before. Now it got smaller and more expensive. Now when you order water you get it in their custom bottle which suggests me it’s just tap water, but at a premium. While legally tap water should be free. I have no proof it’s tap water but neither anything suggests the opposite. Friendly people, just please be more aware of the customers.

This is a very cozy restaurant, with a simple, pleasant atmosphere. It can get busy at times, so booking is recommended for groups. And the food is truly delicious and well-made.

We ordered take away (one small and one normal and one tiramisu). Both two pizzas and tiramisu were delicious. Normal size is a bit big. So you can try small one as well.

There was a lot of tomato on the pizza which made it really mushy. The taste was really good but it wasn't cut either which was annoying.

Excellent Neapolitan pizza. Premium ingredients. I tried the pizza with buffalo burrata, arugula, and Parma ham (not prosciutto). It's a style of pork shoulder from Argentina, cured like raw ham. Everything was exquisite. The waiters were very friendly. Just keep in mind that the kitchen closes early; it was Saturday, and it closed at 10 p.m. Highly recommended!

The food was absolutely delicious! We came here on Sunday evening without a reservation with our two children. We were a bit early for dinner by Italian standards, but right on time for us Dutchies. Luckily, there was still a table available, though we were really lucky with that. The staff spoke mainly Italian and English, with a few Dutch words here and there. The pizzas were ready remarkably quickly. The "small" version was just the right size for our three-year-old daughter. Everything tasted delicious, fresh, and truly authentic Italian. Since we were with two children and still had a drive back to the east of the country ahead of us, we opted for a quick bite, but that didn't detract from the quality. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and the pizzas were among the best we've had in a long time. All in all, a place we thoroughly enjoyed eating and would definitely recommend.

I always end up ordering the same thing here: Pizza Vulcano or Ravioli al Tartufo because they’re just really good! The food is consistently delicious and the service is great. The ambience could be a bit cozier, but that’s okay. It's always a satisfying visit.

Food quality has dropped significantly over the years. Getting a pizza with uncooked mushrooms, burnt or ingredients that will give you a stomach ache has become more frequent. To add to this,service is unecessarily rude. I wouldn't recommend this place.

It's a shame the girl is so rude because the food was fine. They also didn't warn us that gluten-free pizza would be charged extra... The water was a rip-off; they didn't give us tap water.

It’s the kind of pizza that reminds you why classics endure. we forgot to ask for an English menu… not sure if they had any. 😂 so used the TripGenie ai. It was surprisingly accurate at translating and describing all the items. 👍

Normally, the pizza is delicious. This Wednesday, I picked up a pizza, and every single one was so soft. So soft that I couldn't pick it up. It felt like the pizza wasn't cooked through yet. Such a shame, this experience.
