Worst experience I’ve had. A group of us came here with a reservation, but we still had to wait around 15–20 minutes just for someone to clean and prepare a table for us. After we ordered, we waited for almost an hour for our food. Then they told us one of the dishes was “ruined” and if we still wanted it, we’d have to wait another 15 minutes. We were all tired, but we decided to wait anyway. When the food finally arrived, the quality was terrible. To make things even worse, one of my friends found a hair in their food. What really bothered us was that people who arrived after us got their food before we did. It honestly looked like they were being prioritized because they were from the same nationality as the owner, which came across as discriminatory. Overall, the service was unprofessional, the food was poor, and the whole experience was extremely disappointing. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Very disappointing experience. The food was a huge letdown for me. The dishes didn't seem fresh at all, had little to no flavor, and the quality was far below what one would expect. I left a large part of my order untouched because it was simply inedible and I didn't get a good feeling about it. The service also made a bad impression. It seemed like only one employee was responsible for serving, the cash register, and cleaning. That not only puts enormous pressure on that person but also does not benefit the quality of the entire experience. It felt as if speed and making money were more important than paying attention to customers and serving a good meal. For me, this was a very disappointing experience, and I will absolutely not be coming back here. My advice: think carefully before you eat here. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. After reading this, I hope the owner, Massi, really thinks about it and stops feeding people and animals! Prepare food fresh and properly, or please quit and find another job.

The prices are far too high for what you get. The food lacked flavor and the quality was disappointing. Some dishes arrived cold, while others – like the mantu – were warm, which is inconsistent. Both the meat and the rice were bland and not well seasoned. For me, this is not a place I will return to.

The food is very pricey, 13 euros for manti that was lukewarm, while another one was very hot. Rice with lamb shank was tasteless. 30 euros, had high expectations, really disappointed. Looked spectacular. Not worth repeating. I have eaten Afghan food elsewhere and it was much more flavorful. Very unfortunate.

Last Saturday, we went to eat at Masie for the first time with a group of 12 people. Our reservation was well received and handled flexibly. The food was prepared with care and was on the table quickly. The mantu was delicious; we had the mixed grill for 4 people, which was also delicious. The Afghan rice with meat off the bone was enchanting. Friendly waiter and good service. Definitely worth a repeat visit!

It is the only restaurant i know without music. Because of that, the atmosphere is more relaxed. I also appreciate the service. The people are very kind. The restaurant is also beautifully designed, And of course, the food is delicious.

I went to this restaurant with my wife. I had often seen their videos on social media and thought they would have good food, but unfortunately, our experience was very bad. The shor nakhod had no salt, was hard, and had no taste. Moreover, the qabuli palaw did not seem properly cooked. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and had expected much more. Unfortunately, this restaurant was a major letdown for us.

The staff was incredibly friendly, hospitable, and attentive, which made the whole experience complete. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner, Kaka Ahmadshah; we had lovely and warm conversations, which made the visit extra special. Delicious food, buffet during Ramadan they offer an all you can eat buffet which was great. Especially liked the borani banjan and the mantu! Small restaurant but cozy, clean and kind service.

We had an iftar meal here with family during Ramadan. A friendly welcome, nice and warm inside, and very cozy with all those people who were also breaking their fast that day together with their families. The food was a real buffet with countless dishes that you could serve yourself; colorful, fragrant, and delicious. It was packed. No alcohol, of course. A special experience!

From the food to the service, everything here is truly amazing. The prices are also very good for the portions you get. The open buffet during Ramadan is highly recommended.

Yesterday I had a delicious iftar meal at Masie. I've been here before with friends outside of Ramadan! Just like last time, the food was delicious! It was a buffet with drinks, which you don't often see with an iftar menu! The manti remains one of the best in Amsterdam for me! My friend and I had a fantastic meal. The space is a bit small, but overall it was delicious again. The staff are friendly and very quick to help if you need anything or have questions. And the price is great! The people who rave about the food here are clearly not used to it or have severely underdeveloped taste buds. It was mediocre. Nothing like, say, Helai in Rotterdam. Furthermore, the food was cold. You also feel like you're in a cafeteria with unusual surroundings. As a woman, I've never experienced such a profound sense of discomfort in a "restaurant."

Tbh the food tastes not so fresh the rice was very stale the bread was 100% 2 days old and they warm it up on microwave taste like rubber. For the price they charge it’s not worth it. De Lekkere Afghan in Osdorpplein is way better, fresh, fair price for what u get. Sorry not sorry. But no more visits for me.

We visited Restaurant Masie in Osdorp, Amsterdam, on February 13th, expecting a mediocre experience based on previous reviews. However, we were pleasely surprised 😊. The restaurant serves Afghani and Persian cuisine, and we found the food and service to be top-notch. The interior was neat, clean, and inviting, with an open kitchen that looked hygienic. The chairs were a bit broad, making it tricky to get in and out, but that's a minor complaint. The menu prices seemed steep at first, but the generous portions justified the cost. Our mains were huge – almost 900g each, perfect for big eaters, but a bit too much for us. The food was served at the perfect temperature, and the flavors were spot on. We even tried the Pani Puri (or Phuchka, as we call it in Bangladesh), which exceeded our expectations, especially in terms of spice level. The toilet was impressively clean, adding to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for a delicious and filling meal in Amsterdam. Restaurant Masie is worth a try.

We are absolutely thrilled with Masie Restaurant in Amsterdam! From the moment you enter, you notice the calm and patient atmosphere – truly very pleasant. The interior is decorated with a lot of love and attention to detail, making it feel very cozy. Most importantly, everything is 100% halal, and you can trust that completely. The chef wore a clean white hairnet, and the kitchen is open – you can immediately see how hygienic and organized everything is. The chef also briefly performed his prayer – a nice detail that highlights the cleanliness and care in this kitchen. We are visiting as tourists and have tried many restaurants in the past two weeks, most of which were disappointing in terms of service, food, or ambiance. Here, it’s the complete opposite! We ordered rice twice and a mixed grill – everything looked exactly like the photos, perfectly cooked, very tasty, and full of flavor. We especially loved the Afghan Ayran I tried. It’s similar to Persian Ayran but without carbonation and with less mint – perfectly balanced and delicious. They also offer Turkish Ayran, which surely tastes just as great. The service is excellent as well: very attentive and professional, clearly a well-trained team. Another highlight: there is no music, which makes the atmosphere even more relaxed. Masie is not only for Muslims; everyone is welcome, but for us, it was very special to find such an authentic and calm halal restaurant. We are truly happy we dined here and will definitely return!

You really have to come here for delicious Afghan food. I often come here for the delicious tandoori chicken and the indispensable Kabuli Palaw rice. It's also nice that there's no background music. It's a great place for a chat. And it's 100% halal, and they don't serve alcohol. Respect! The staff are also so friendly and unpretentious, I love it.🫡
