I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversaries at the same time with my wife, brother-in-law, and his wife; it was a special day with delicious food and amazing service. On top of that, it is a fantastic location—highly recommended.

On Sunday afternoon, we celebrated our birthdays with a high tea at the Mauritshoeve! And it was wonderful! With the beautiful weather, a "private" corner was cleared for us on the terrace, even though we had reserved the upstairs room. There were truly delicious snacks, but above all, the kind and attentive service made it a real celebration! It was so much fun; we had a wonderful birthday! Thank you, people at the Mauritshoeve! Relaxed atmosphere, good food, friendly service

We didn't eat there, just a cup of coffee and a pastry. The atmosphere is cozy; they even reserved a table... just for the house cat, or a sleeping one. Super nice.

Just a nice and beautiful place for a good lunch

Tonight, after a busy day at work, I decided to grab a bite to eat at Mauritshoeve. The starter (carpacio) was delicious, but unfortunately, the burger was a disappointment. The bun was too dry, the cheese hadn't melted, and the burger wasn't really warm. They were also very frugal with the side dishes, so it was disappointing. So, there's definitely room for improvement.

Lovely cozy place with great food , so is always a good idea to drop by and eat nicely over there.

My wife and I had lunch on the terrace of the Mauritshoeve this afternoon. For lunch, we ordered the tuna salad sandwich and the croquette sandwich. Both were delicious. The portions were surprisingly large for the price. The price-to-quality ratio was definitely good. For dessert, we ordered the Liège waffle. However, it was very hard, but luckily we got a new one after we mentioned it to the staff. The service here was also excellent. We were helped by the fantastic Quinten, Floor, and Isa. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome, which immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. It was also easy to park your bike, and there was plenty of room for cars. Finally, I thought the tables for two were a bit too large. It was clear they were meant for four people. This meant we were sitting a bit far apart, but this is a minor complaint. Overall, I definitely recommend this place. If you're near the always beautiful Maartensdijk, I would definitely recommend stopping here.

Enjoyed a delicious croquette sandwich and an oyster mushroom croquette sandwich with a glass of wine. Friendly service, large terrace with plenty of shade. Ample parking.

It's a great place for a drink, with lovely surroundings. The service, an older waiter, was a bit surly and didn't respond to a joke, but otherwise attentive. We moved on to the pancake restaurant.

This is simply a fantastic restaurant where the service truly makes your experience a joy. There's a wonderful, spacious, enclosed playground for children who dine there.

We've never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant as we did at the Mauritshoeve last weekend. We thought it would be nice to kick off the weekend with our children and enjoy a pancake on the terrace. After an initially friendly welcome, the pancake was served quite quickly. Then, however, we were completely ignored, while the tables around us were being served as usual. Even after we'd already stacked our plates and my girlfriend desperately asked if we could order something else, we were still ignored. Perhaps the fact that we had children with us on the terrace dominated by elderly people played a role, but just say that children aren't welcome. It's a real shame that Google requires a minimum of one star, because that's much more than this place deserves.

For my grandfather's birthday, a section was rented out for a high tea. The acoustics were terrible and the overcrowded space was filled with imitation leather chairs with broken and peeling upholstery. A poor display. The manager was incredibly unfriendly, to say the least, the snacks mediocre and the soup so salty that it was inedible. Definitely not recommended for a party.

Quite a nice place, the atmosphere is actually quite good, I just can't help but feel that I went crazy from the shouting of the children, not Mauritshoeve's fault, but oh well.

50 - jarig huwelijksfeest. Geweldige lokatie zowel binnen als buiten. De bediening was fantastisch. Het eten smaakte heerlijk.

Yesterday we were welcomed hospitably, although we only came for a starter - due to walking dinner along several locations. The onion soup is recommended, really prepared in the French way with a nice crispy layer of cheese on top. After half an hour of walking I fell, when I returned to the Mauritshoeve, caring good first aid was provided. Really great!!! Thanks again.

This afternoon as a surprise 🍽 🥂 asked out for dinner by sons to not have to cook for a day. Served at the table by the craziest waiter in the area. After all, you come to relax and eat good food. Excellent food and service with an excuse of chocolates at the back door for pushing a chair a little too hard 🤪 ouch. Thanks kids and crazy waiter.😍👌

Lunch sandwich was tasty, but the soup is a salt shaker with some asparagus juice. You will not receive a very hospitable welcome and the owner does not set a good example. And when I read further the reviews here, the owner has no interest in what his customers think or he does not read these reviews. Furthermore, you sit restlessly because someone in the service is very present and loudly rushing through everything. An exaggerated show is put on while you just want to sit there. A beautiful quiet environment in the middle of nature that is disturbed in this way. Very unfortunate!

We hadden samen sate kippedijen met friet gegeten. Was een kleine portie vonden we. De sate was goed maar lauw. De friet was ronduit nagenoeg koud en slap. Omdat we erg veel trek hadden na een lange fietstocht het toch maar direct opgegeten. De buiten zit op terras was erg prettig in de zon maar het eten viel helaas tegen.

We hadden er een etentje met het bedrijf. Eerst lekker op het terras in de zon wat drinken met blokjes kaas, brood met smeersels en worst. Omdat we met meer dan 12 waren was er een klein menu waar we uit konden kiezen. Om het gezelschap te mengen stonden de voorgerechten opgediend en ging je zitten daar waar jou gerecht stond. Er was 1 lactose intolerant persoon dus zochten we de carpaccio zonder kaas. Helaas, volgens de bediening is parmezaan lactosevrij. We hebben het risico niet genomen. Het hoofd gerecht had ik de steak. Een in plakjes gesneden steak die aardig rear was en taai. Bij navraag was ik niet de enige. De Brusselse wafel was top. Er is niemand geweest die vroeg of alles naar wens was en we moesten ook zelf vragen of we nog iets te drinken konden krijgen. Al met al weinig aandacht voor gast en gerechten. Dat het er lekker uitziet betekent nog niet dat het smaak. Jammer.

Just good for a relaxation like this

Unwelcoming catering facility. We came with our racing bikes and wanted to store them in a place where we could keep a view of them. The owner immediately rushed outside to prevent that. No one was sitting on the terrace, so the bicycle was not in anyone's way. Apparently the man had no interest in customers.

Never in my life have I been treated so rudely in a restaurant. The man with a bald head and glasses, apparently the owner, immediately started attacking us in a frenzy. Only because some ladies in our party had put their coats on a table behind us, in an otherwise completely empty restaurant. And no matter what we said to calm the whole thing down, he kept swearing. When one of the ladies replied that she would take her coat away he said that she had a big mouth and that he would not serve us and that we had to leave. It could have been very simple, for example 'ladies, can you please take your coats away from the table behind you because it will soon be busy here'. Then we would have just done that and dismissed it with an apology. Unbelievable what a clumsy, rude man. I will never come here again, not even if I get some extra money.

We were very pleasantly surprised today by visiting the restaurant. We had a delicious coffee with apple pie. The apple pie was wonderfully spiced. Then decided to have lunch too. Delicious. Our dog was spoiled with snacks. We will definitely come back.

Starter, main and dessert tasted good. The choice was limited. The quality was good. The staff was helpful and understood how to work with the group.

We walked in and immediately felt a special atmosphere. We ordered our food & drinks and they were served very quickly. We ordered pancakes, which were quite a good price. What we concluded was that this would be a quality, full meal. Both pancakes were too dry for words, so dry that I could hardly swallow them. The food was very disappointing. We soon got the feeling that she really wanted us out of their restaurant. When we used the voucher, they had added extra things to the total price that we had not ordered. This is the worst restaurant experience I have had so far. And that really says a lot. Very disappointed. Don't come here!

The pancakes are dry, the cheese and bacon toppings were also very dry. I think they were microwaved. The bacon was not slices, but leftover shreds. Looked like dried meat, but without taste. It was a good thing that syrup and icing sugar were served, otherwise we wouldn't have even been able to finish the small, thin pancakes. The staff seems very friendly to the poops who came to visit, but we got the feeling that we - the paupers - had to leave quickly. We were also not asked if the food was tasty. Probably because they didn't send us the tastiest variants. Too bad! We will never come here again!

Tastefully decorated and not too big, friendly service

Great place to relax with kiddos after horse riding. A small downside is that for fathers with a kiddo who has a diaper, the only option for changing is in the women's toilet.

Everything was great except that we had to wait an hour before the starter was served. If you had reported this, nothing would have happened. But otherwise completely fine. Very nice service. Everyone was very cheerful despite the fact that they had already had a very full day. This is how you experience hospitality.

Op een mooie zomerochtend liep ik langs de Mauritshoeve waar ik iets wilde drinken. Het terras was voor ongeveer tweederde bezet, ik zocht een leuk plekje op. Helaas werd ik gedurende ruim een half uur volkomen over het hoofd gezien door de bediening. Nieuwe gasten rondom mij werden snel opgemerkt en redelijk snel bediend, maar hoe ik ook aandacht probeerde te trekken: er kwam niemand naar mij toe. Uiteindelijk ben ik maar weggegaan. Dezelfde dag heb ik een e-mail geschreven met daarin mijn ervaring, maar helaas heb ik ook daar geen enkele reactie op gekregen. Jammer en weinig professioneel. Helaas gebeurt het vaker dat je niet of pas laat wordt opgemerkt wanneer je in je eentje ergens iets wil eten of drinken, hoewel er gelukkig ook restaurants zijn die je heel welkom heten!

25/8 koffie en lunch (uitsmijter) gehad, smaakte goed en vriendelijk bediend. Bij toeval tijdens fietstocht binnen gelopen -zonder reservering- maar er was plek voor een eenzame fietser 🚴.

Wonderful place to have something to eat after a nice walk in the nature of Bilthoven. Coffee with cake was great. Service is fast and friendly. We will definitely go back there again for lunch.

We zaten wel vaker op het terras van de Maurtitshoeve. De plek is mooi om tijdens een fietstocht koffie te doen. Wel zouden kussens in de houten stoelen geen luxe zijn. Dit keer een pannenkoek besteld. Wat een teleurstelling! Zelden zo’n slechte pannenkoek gehad. Toen wij er na de vraag “heeft het gesmaakt?” iets van zeiden, werd er door de wat oudere ober afwijzend en bot op gereageerd. Kennelijk mag je na zo’n vraag bij de Mauritshoeve alleen positief reageren? Erg jammer dit. Wij komen hier niet meer

It has been a popular place for me to meet and have lunch for years. Especially when the weather is nice, it is an oasis in the middle of the woods on the lovely terrace. Service is attentive and friendly. Definitely a return!

Tijdens een wandeling konden we hier even rusten en lunchen. Het overwegend jonge personeel is vriendelijk. Het terras is ruim. De kwaliteit van het eten is redelijk tot goed. € 26,50 voor een pannetje mosselen is aan de hoge kant. En frisdrank zouden we liever in een flesje krijgen.

Nice restaurant in a beautiful location. Food always good and staff friendly. Fun with children (playground in front of the terrace) and you can even put your horse out to pasture after a round of Lage Vuursche/Eykensteijn Estate. Very important to me personally: dog-friendly!

Wat hebben wij genoten gisteravond Onze vader opa schoonpapa vierde met ons zijn 80 jarige verjaardag . Hier kun je met een gerust hard gaan eten wanneer je Coeliakie heb. Nog even een groot compliment aan de serveerster met de mooie rode krullen je bent een topper !! Dank je wel voor de leuke avond

Very smooth and friendly service. Unfortunately, not all dishes on the menu were available anymore, but we were still able to make an excellent choice.

We only had pancakes, so I can only judge on that. But I thought they tasted sweet, even though I had bacon/cheese. So probably sweet batter. We thought they were small. I could really have done with a bit more and my husband could have. And also a bit weak. And because they were small I thought it was quite expensive. I also thought the dessert was expensive.
