PK bar & kitchen Bilthoven in Bilthoven Zuid Oost

Been a fan of PK Bilthoven for 10 years. Coffee, lunch, drinks, or dinner... always a great atmosphere, delicious food, and very good and, above all, fun staff. Feels almost like coming home.

Food was perfect. The Waitress seemed like working without wage.

I had organized a farewell drinks party. Everything was arranged perfectly: nice atmosphere, good location, good service, and a delicious charcuterie board. They even turned the music down on their own initiative when the speech came on. Top-notch place!

Disappointing experience at PK Bilthoven on a Friday evening. At 8:30 PM, it was already announced that the kitchen was closing, and around 10:30 PM, no more drinks could be ordered because they were closing early due to a quiet evening. The way this was communicated felt very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We were even asked to finish our drinks quickly because they wanted to close within a few minutes. I understand that quiet evenings are a challenge, but it is precisely then that you expect hospitality towards the guests who are actually there. In this way, you do not feel welcome as a customer. For me, this is a reason not to return anytime soon.

Wonderful, top-notch shop, really great.

Unfortunately, we didn't like the iced coffee, but the service was super friendly and we didn't have to pay.

Nice tables and different little corners. With a sofa or high chairs. By the window or not. You could understand each other and weren't bothered by neighbor chatter. Had a delicious meal. Wanted to toast the bread for me.

Today, we had drinks here with a small group and some treats. All three types of cake were very tasty. Despite the large group, the coffee and cake arrived perfectly at the same time. Friendly service.

The service is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The food can be a bit simple, but if you just want a classic dish, PK is definitely recommended.

On a Thursday evening, we had drinks with eight men. After 8:30 PM, you couldn't order coffee anymore. Last round at 9:50 PM, and we had to pay immediately. So, it was the last time we'd have drinks there that evening.

The nicest staff I've seen in a long time. We received a free chocolate letter and a cup of hot chocolate even though we hadn't even ordered one. It's great that they have a curling rink; we enjoyed sitting there with a hot cup of chocolate in the evening. Top-notch restaurant.

We had lunch today. While we were still enjoying our first cup of tea, we were asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We told them we'd have to tell us when we wanted to order something. Five minutes later, the next person was at the table, asking if we wanted anything else to drink and order. That felt quite pushy. We then ordered lunch, two sandwiches, and received them. They looked good, but the sandwich was impossible to cut. The only option was to eat it with our hands. We mentioned it when we picked up our plates, and they said they'd ask the kitchen what had gone wrong with the sandwiches... he never came back, and fifteen minutes later we went to pay. Even though it tasted good, I'll think twice about eating here again.

Big place, but they try to keep it cozy, for coffee drinking during a cold day. Loved the presentation of what we ate. They obviously care for details. Standard prices for the Netherlands

Verdict: 👍🏽 Let’s get right into it. When you see PK from afar, you don’t think it’s going to be what it is. The cover of this book is very unassuming. The inside though? It’s beautiful!!! And the food is good, and the service is good… the whole experience is excellent! We went for a Friday apps and drinks and they didn’t disappoint. Bitterballen were perfect, and the loaded French fries were stellar!! We didn’t need a reservation, but they do get quite busy! I need to go back and try some other food! 10/10 recommend!!

What a beautifully renovated restaurant! The new decor is stylish and welcoming, the food delicious and meticulously prepared. The team is friendly and attentive, and manager Mark creates a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Super cozy interior and delicious food.

We had a wonderful evening enjoying a delicious dinner. The shared dining appetizer is a good and tasty concept. At least they know how to serve a traditional Dutch drink, "ice and ice cold" 👍 One point for improvement: the hamburger wasn't cooked through and could have been left on the grill a bit longer. The hamburger's decoration could also be more appealing. Otherwise, we had a delicious meal and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The food was simply not good. The spare ribs were incredibly tough and dry. You have to pay extra for fries, and the veggie burger was also dry. The service and atmosphere were good, but I won't go there again.

We liked it, the only pity was that the food was served without a potato garnish.

Realize you're a restaurant that closes its kitchen at 8 pm on a Saturday night 🤣🤣, it's truly hopeless. Around the corner is Le Terranza, 100 percent better. Its sister restaurant is probably better too.

Nine of us wanted to eat out, but the kitchen was already closed at 8 p.m. Pretty strange, if you ask me. We were allowed to use the restroom, though. Tip: keep the kitchen open until 9 or 10.

First of all, I want to say that I love sitting on the terrace at PK in Utrecht. It's a great place. After a day of shopping, I was really looking forward to PK in Bilthoven! What a disgrace! The staff really don't know how to handle customers! They have no knowledge of alcohol (beers). I found one beer too strong, and then they recommended an even stronger beer that was undrinkable, even though I enjoy drinking beer. At my request, I asked for a different beer, and again, they wanted to bring me a beer with 0.5 percent alcohol! In short, they wanted to serve me one beer after another, which I didn't like, but I still had to pay for, even though it was undrinkable. I'm not used to such stupidity and would never agree to it! When I said, "Thank you for the advice," the staff member laughed like a goat and ridiculed me. What a sad experience. I'll definitely never be back.

We were looking for lunch outside Amersfoort when we stumbled upon PK. What a lovely place, with very friendly staff, and of course, a delicious lunch. We'll be back soon.

In my opinion, PK Bilthoven is beautifully and pleasantly decorated. There's a pleasant atmosphere. I was also very pleased with my lunch. I had a smoked salmon sandwich. It was a large, deliciously soft roll with fresh smoked salmon and a tasty dressing that included garden cress. The coffee and tea are also very good. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Pleasant atmosphere, good service. The only thing I had was a burger that didn't really taste good; the meat was too dry, and the fries were probably for a 5-year-old, as they were very meager. Such a shame.

We had a great experience thanks to the bartender Bas! We were there on a busy evening to have a drink, and despite the crowd he remained calm, friendly and completely in control. He was a true professional behind the bar: he made delicious cocktails and radiated enthusiasm and cheerfulness. Quite an achievement when it is so busy to keep everyone happy. What struck us most was that he really took the time for his guests. He asked about our preferences, listened carefully to us and based on that he managed to make a top cocktail that suited us perfectly. Top! There was also room for a nice chat in between, which made the atmosphere even better. We had a fantastic evening!. We will definitely be back!

Fine for "just a quick lunch", nothing special but certainly not bad either.

Nice casual café for lunch or dinner. It's too fancy for a snack, but not fancy enough for a date. I've eaten here a couple of times now and it is what you can expect from a restaurant in this price range. The food is a bit too expensive for what you get in my opinion, like the €10,- cheesecake. That said, it was a tasty and fancily garnished cheesecake. I liked sitting in the glass part of the establishment. All in all I will probably not be visiting here again, it's too predictable for my tastes. Then again, I guess I'm somewhat of a snob. YMMV

Very friendly and involved service. We were with a nice group, but had it well under control and were served at our beck and call. The dishes arrived well on time, nicely presented and were very tasty. Nice wines and tasty beers to match. The building is tastefully and modernly decorated with respect for the history. It is also warm and cozy. Kimchi as a starter, spareribs as a main, whiskey after.

Food was reasonable but small portions. Price/quality ratio not okay. Staff is not attentive and active, especially behind the bar. And: no tabasco with tomato juice, how is that possible.

Were served by someone who didn't really feel like it, I also found the atmosphere disappointing, and the tables were way too close together. Food was tasty though.

Stopped in for a mid afternoon meal on Sunday and we were not disappointed. The service in this restaurant is always excellent and quick. We had a diverse group of people with a vegan, a vegetarian and several men. There were great menu options to satisfy everyone and a relaxed, friendly vibe throughout the restaurant. A delicious, tasty meal for a big group that averaged €32 per person for both drinks and meal. Highly recommended!

Atmospheric place with good quality food. Beer menu is a bit disappointing, there is a nice special beer on tap, but for a special beer I would go somewhere else. I think this is the perfect lunch spot in the Bilthoven region.

Staff was more busy with the phone than with the customers. I had to walk to the bar twice to reorder and pay. The white bread was old and rock hard. Uncut. An unpleasant experience richer.

Had a great meal with a large group in the conservatory. Service and food were fine, but I thought the presence of mice in the conservatory that were constantly running around was serious in a restaurant. There was not just one but several and they were certainly not shy and just walked around the tables. I have also seen it mentioned in the reviews before, but the problem does not seem to have been solved. It would be a reason for me to go somewhere else next time, I don't think it's hygienic.

Toen we binnenkwamen was het al een kakafonie van schreeuwende mensen aan de bar, aanvankelijk gingen we er vanuit dat dit een vrijdagmiddagborrel was van een bedrijf. Het geschreeuw aan de bar was zodanig luid dat wij aan tafel elkaar nauwelijks konden verstaan. Hoewel het eten verzorgd was en prima smaakte was het geschreeuw aan de bar echt heel storend. Toen wij aan één van de dames van de bediening opmerkte dat dit geschreeuw toch wel erg vervelend was, vertelde zij dat zij hier echt niets aan kon doen doordat dit haar bazen waren. We hebben PK met bijzonder gemengde gevoelens verlaten. Wij zullen hier ofschoon het eten goed smaakte niet meer terugkeren.

The beef salade was not restaurant worthy. Tast average but presentation worse. Totally not presentabele for a restaurant. Rest of lunch was ok.

Enjoyed a great lunch. Casual atmosphere, nice smooth service. The entrance door was defective and squeaked terribly, but I understood that it was being worked on.

We went to PK for lunch with a group of 8 people. It is a great lunch restaurant. You can choose from white or brown bread. The sandwiches tasted great. After our sandwich we decided to order a dessert with hot chocolate and whipped cream. I would go for the apple pie. Especially if you like ice cream. It comes with a large scoop of ice cream. The other desserts don't even get half the size of ice cream. I don't know why there is such a difference. In any case, it caused a lot of jealous eyes at the table. In any case, I regretted my cheesecake with my relatively lousy scoop of ice cream. It looked very nice, but the taste of the cheesecake was really disappointing (didn't taste fresh). Legend: 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

The food was delicious, the service friendly and the atmosphere itself nice and cozy. The only thing that I thought was a really big negative was that as soon as someone, a customer or a member of staff, started smoking outside the door, a bizarrely strong smoke smell came inside. And I thought that was really nasty. There was also a kind of cheap perfume smell as a counterpart. So that diminished the overall experience.

It would have been OK if there had been no mice running across the floor. There wasn't just one either.

Samen met mijn moeder het restaurant in gelopen om lekker te gaan lunchen, dachten we. Ik bestelde een broodje gerookte zalm, eenmaal aangekomen bleek het broodje doorweekt te zijn met mayonaise. Het was niet om vast te pakken zoveel vette saus droop er vanaf. Het gerecht helaas na een paar happen moeten laten staan. Brood dat doorweekt is met vet is immers niet lekker. Dit aangekaart bij een dame in de bediening, haar reactie: “tja, dan had je dat maar niet moeten bestellen”. We hebben wel moeten opdraaien voor dit bagger gerecht, de “service” was erg onvriendelijk.

a very successful evening with the family. The atmosphere and the overall event in this old post office: exceptionally good. All the attention from the staff and everything related to it, a 10+. Everyone at the table (in the conservatory) was really enjoying it. The food, or rather the dinner, was varied and plenty of choice and for everyone's taste. We thoroughly enjoyed it and that was our first (and certainly not our last) visit. PK Bar & Kitchen: THANK YOU By the way, after reading the invoice again after 4 weeks: unfortunately some errors. a bottle of SPA RED on the table (ask service for a chilled bottle!) remains unused on the table and also appears unopened on the bill. a double espresso served as an Espresso Martini. Mind your business.Unfortunately this is sticking.

While passing through looking for Wok resto via Google, I ended up here. Is more of a Bistro. Quite noisy. Friendly service. Little meat menu. Spaghetti for my 4 year old daughter was not really kid size. The Tiramisu was disappointing. But the Iberico was very tasty.

Delicious food, friendly and good service and being able to eat in peace. We were even asked if we wanted the main course after the starter or if we would rather wait a while. Food arrives quickly after ordering. You don't have to wait long for your dishes. In our opinion, worth repeating.
