McDonald's in Schagen (woonkern-Oost en Buitengebied)

The food is fine but a bit too salty and dry, the service is a bit awkward, they don't say much and if you have to pay 9.95 they ask for 10 euros, especially for children, the atmosphere is not very cheerful.

Didn't receive half the order. Burgers weren't even in the wrapping. They were just thrown in the bag. They find it hard to get it right, and the useless staff just chats and struggles to do what they're paid to do.

Order errors time and again. And do you dare go in with all the youngsters and other shady characters loitering outside?

A lot of the burgers I've ordered aren't made properly; they're cold. I find it difficult to make burgers because they can't stack. You can tell they're not average-skilled people.

I'm 65 years old and have been a McDonald's customer since I was a teenager, having eaten at them in different cities and countries. However, I recently ordered from the McDonald's in Schagen, Netherlands, and the person who served me was very rude. I placed my order in English, and she responded in Dutch, knowing that if I started speaking to her in English, it was because I didn't speak Dutch. I know that, being a young person, she speaks English like most people in the Netherlands. Therefore, I can say that the ordering experience was terrible. The food, however, is always delicious.

A fun McDonald's to eat at. The staff is friendly, and I found the atmosphere positive.

Where were the chicken nuggets??? I ordered them, honey. And if I order a cheeseburger, I want sauce on it 😪 One star for the Korean. That was pretty good.

October 6, 2025, 3:26 PM (so management can also identify this, if they're even interested). The branch was only moderately busy. There was no stress involved. At least the employees had enough time to chat a bit. So much for the general situation. A skinny, dark-haired employee (probably a new hire) was supposed to assemble my Big Mac. Apparently, he'd never done it before. At least, he didn't know the order in which the burger was to be topped, nor the fact that two patties go on the burger. A colleague (a bit more stable) gave him the initial cue: Lettuce has to go on... and then did something else next to the "apprentice." He then, as is proper, placed a patty on the lettuce with tongs. What happened next left me speechless. The employee was obviously very unsure of himself. Paddy off, Paddy back on, Paddy off, Paddy back on. This time with my fingers. No, no gloves and no tongs...my fingers... "WOW," I thought. "If he now throws the Paddy low across the restaurant like a Frisbee, at least it'll be fun." A younger employee who witnessed this initially joked with the (probably) shift manager, but then went over to the new apprentice and showed him how to finish the Big Mac. "Wooosh!" the Big Mac slid under the heat lamps after only four minutes of burger-making. There it was, my burger. It was nudged back and forth every now and then (probably to keep the burger from falling asleep). The minutes ticked by. Happy Meals that had been ordered well after me were prepared and handed out. (the only other order at that point), old fries were scooped from the display into a bucket, a quick chat with the shift manager, and then it was time. The more stable colleague tipped a 9-piece chicken from my order into the bowl, then pushed it under the heat lamp, and after just two more minutes, "the big one" handed me my bag. It's a shame I don't speak Dutch very well yet. I definitely would have told those gentlemen what I thought. So, unfortunately, all I can do is never enter this branch again and advise others in my circle to avoid it.

I ordered two MacFlurries that were just over half full. I was informed about this, but was told this was normal. This is outrageous!

Friendly staff, but all three of our orders were wrong. The staff resolved the issue well. The tables need to be cleaned more regularly. Typical fast-food restaurant with little atmosphere.

The McMuffin backegg was awful. The cheese hadn't melted, and the egg was a week past its sell-by date. The bun wasn't golden brown and probably had remnants of vomit in it.

Unfortunately it was a bit dirty there and a burger that was still being made and was supposed to come later was simply forgotten to be brought

The Dutch Big Mac tastes better, in my opinion. It has a bit more of a mustard flavor. I loved it. The Quarter Pounder was also excellent.

Compared to German branches, there is a really big difference. The burgers and fries taste much better here and the service is very fast. Here you can still say that it is FAST Food.

Looking for a late dinner after a long day of toiling in Rotterdam. Searching for McDonald's for that "pa da pa pa pa" moment. And once home, this magical moment was taken away from us with an incomplete order. The end result: too little food, too little sauce, and therefore the atmosphere was ruined because my girlfriend was hungry. And I took the +1 nugget. Please be a bit more careful; it's all expensive enough as it is.

Waited 15 minutes for my food, received it, the cola lid wasn't on properly, so I spilled it all over myself. Burgers were very dry and almost cold. Music in the car was a vibe.

Get 2 mcFlurries m&m with caramel sauce for 8.20 of which 0.30 was plastic surcharge, while I got a paper container with wooden spoon. The containers were half full and without caramel sauce. I am very disappointed.

How is it possible that the amount of McFlurry is always different? Sometimes it's full, sometimes there's not even half in the cup. It's so annoying, especially for the price. I find it IMPOSSIBLE!!!

What a cholera place, I wanted to order from a menu and the gentleman behind the counter says: just go to the ordering posts. I'm not handy enough for that. Shit fast food place. You have to do everything yourself and they also make money from it. I'm not quite ready to make my own hamburger yet. Almighty, isn't it?

Children's party celebrated in combination with bowling in Schagen. The lady who received the children and us was extremely friendly and very patient with the somewhat busy group of kids. This allowed the supervisors to eat something quietly themselves. Only downside; delivered too little or no sauce for the umpteenth time. And one drink wrong. Anyway, that was repaired immediately, so it was resolved well. Big plus for the lady who supervised the party!

It depends very much on the staff who is working whether the food is nice and hot or whether you get lukewarm food, the speed also varies because of this

Normally the service is averagely good, but this time it was honestly quite bad. 2nd time here in Schagen, I always order a coffee with 2 coffee milks, you can't get it done here, you only get 1 coffee cup, they don't want to give you 2. No service, economy at its best, I asked for 2, she said I have 1, most people no longer take coffee. This clearly means that they are not allowed to give more. If that's worth a bad review to you, this one. And I won't come here anymore. Go to a mac that doesn't skimp on coffee milk 🤣

It was extremely busy so some things didn't go as they should, but hats off in that chaos... they apologized to us themselves and we even got an ice cream so in the end we were very satisfied... very customer friendly!

You really NEVER get what you ordered here in Mcdrive. Every time there is an item that is forgotten to put in the bags. You pay for it, but getting what you paid for is really impossible in this Mac. How complicated can it be to complete a list of things to pack? Even when I ask to pay attention to it, things go wrong. But charge €70 for 3 menus

After I very clumsily dropped my coffee and caused a big mess, the guys immediately came to help clean everything up and I also got a new coffee. Great team! Thank you guys!

Only mac in the area that makes their burgers neatly!! Not the whole mess next to it. And even everything we ordered was in the bag, including enough napkins. (often rare at mac) with jesanthan in this tent everything will be fine

Always great here! The food is always good and I enjoy coming here. There have been a few times where the manager walks around extra during busy times to see if everything is going well. She is busy making everyone happy, has a chat while waiting and sometimes even hands out chicken nuggets while waiting! The other staff also work hard and are super friendly. The orders arrive quickly, the food is hot and the order is complete. 5 stars!

I wanted to call them, steal something, they didn't take me seriously and they accused me of being a bad boy and another time there was mold in my burger, I don't recommend this

It remains a McDonald's, many young customers who sometimes leave waste on the tables. But the coffee is good to drink.

We order 2 chocolate milkshakes in the Mac drive. We get 2 vanilla milkshakes. We also have to pay 2x €0.10 plastic surcharge, THEN WHERE IS THE PLASTIC?? 2 Cardboard cups, 2 paper straws and 2 cardboard lids on the cups. SO THEY COMMIT THEFT, you don't get what you pay for. Update June 26: a month later, still charging a surcharge for plastic while everything is cardboard.

MC flurry is half as much as it used to be, it seems....and the service at the checkout through the drive was far from friendly.

We are not a family that goes to McDonald's a lot and we were recently at the one in Schagen, several employees occupied the children's playroom, we asked if they could play, and they said no because they were on a job interview. Now I'm wondering: don't they have an office for this? The kids there wanted to play and I couldn't after a long time we asked again and I still couldn't so it bothered me a lot and I told them well if I came here and my kids couldn't use the playroom at least they are owe a big discount or go to hell. Finally they left, and all the kids there were able to come in and play, then another non-Dutch employee came in and worked more colors and started entertaining the kids, a huge difference between the crappy white Dutch employee and this other one. I go with my kids more often and if it happens again I'm going to film and photograph it to make it public on other networks because it's unheard of that this could happen.

Just get 2 ice creams.... Order 2 ice creams at the cash register inside. Then I get a plate with number 78 on it... that's not ice cream, right?... but anyway I wait at a table and after 30 minutes still no ice cream. Took the plate away and went home. There are only children in that store who have to run the place. Bad thing.....

I always use the Drive, but the service was so bad this time. It took a very long time before she understood what I meant, apparently you no longer have to speak Dutch for the position. There is an overweight Muslim girl with a dirty headscarf that she sits on all the time, making my food very slowly. Then you get your order without her looking at you or saying anything to you. Turned out it was the wrong order. I go back inside, and it's a big sticky mess there, and when you look into the kitchen the floor is full of food and there are incompetent people bustling around. Luckily I got my money back straight away
