The food here is bizarrely bad. Cold fries. Warm milkshake without straws. You pay too much and get bad food in return.

It was just McDonald's food, nothing spectacular, but simply good. We were served quickly; we went through the drive-thru this time. We were spoken to very kindly and were able to get through quickly without having to wait, which is great when you are passing through quickly.

That's how I found my fries, really a shame because I had already been waiting for 20 minutes and it wasn't busy😔😔

Worst experience ever at McDonald's Heerhugowaard. There is a terrible, pungent smell of urine at the entrance and inside. I don't know what is causing it or how this is possible, but hygiene leaves nothing to be desired. Definitely not recommended, I will not be coming back here. ⭐☆☆☆☆

Your extraction systems make an awful lot of noise! ​​We, as residents, are woken up by those damn things every morning around 5:30.

The food is always lukewarm upon arrival at your table. There are few McDonald's restaurants where that is actually well organized, by the way. Service here is pretty decent. Are toilets being maintained as part of service? If so, it's enough to make you cry... actually very dirty, the floors in the restaurant are all very sticky too... I find the atmosphere at this McDonald's mediocre as well, really geared towards young people and not really for families. They have a special table where children can draw, but the pencils have no sharpeners, there is no pencil sharpener available, and there is usually no paper/coloring pages either.

Picked up the menu, got home, and yeah, the burger was cold. A real waste of money.

It is not always clean in and around this mc. Trash cans are not always placed in convenient locations. Orders are regularly incomplete. Unfortunately, we always have to check this. The temperature of the food had improved the last time, though. In the past, it was sometimes cold.

I bought McFlurries, and upon arriving home, I was surprised to see that the Oreo McFlurry cup was full, while the M&M McFlurry cup was half empty (see photo). You pay full price for this; it is scandalous! We also had to wait a very long time before we could pay.

They were roaring with laughter behind the drive-thru counter, but they can't make a McFlurry. I got 3 substandard McFlurries that were only half full... the customer is not king in this shitty place.

I dont eat here very often...today made a spontanious visit and paid 3.5 euros for 1 SMALL FRIES. Took 2 small fries and a sundae. 10 euros! what the hell is going on? Very shameful prices. I know its not this locations fault, but need to send my message one way or another to this shameful company. Inflation only goes so far, and you can not convince me that inflation made small fries cost more than a 1 kg bag of frozen fries in a supermarket. Never again!

Went in the afternoon around 1:30 PM. Fast service and piping hot fries that you couldn't hold with your bare hands for long! Never experienced anything like that at a McDonald's, fantastic! Compliments. I do keep being amazed by the prices, though; it seems to be getting more expensive every time. 31.- for 2 simple small menus isn't really fun anymore. I think that used to be different.

It is not very clean here and the cream-colored chairs are very dirty and really unbearable, very dirty and black.

If you think, "I'm in the mood for an ice cream," whatever you do, don't go to the McDonald's in Heerhugowaard. Because on day 1 you get an ice cream that is just an ice cream, and on day 2 you get the same ice cream, but less than half-filled. And if you say something about it, some sad sack—who happens to be the manager—comes over and says, "That's our protocol." Dear people, and owner of various McDonald's branches, please start thinking and do something about the negative reviews, because there are more and more of them.

4th order in two months that is missing something again. Only checked at home this time (due to the McDrive). Now a side salad is missing.

Everything was good, but it was expensive.

The food arrived warm, the service was friendly, and it didn't take long before I received my order. Grabbing a quick burger at this McDonald's before heading to Alkmaar is definitely recommended.

McDonalds isnt what it used to be

Normally you know what to expect from a McDonalds and that’s the deal, but today I got a side salad with no tomatoes, but two pieces of corn, and with an insect in it! Riddiculous.

At the McDonald's drive-thru, something different is often served than what you ordered. For example, topping forgotten on the McFlurry. Inside is often messy. Stacked trays that aren't picked up, sticky floors... could really be better!

The term fast food can be abolished. We waited more than half an hour for our order. The food is mediocre and bland.

The food is like McDonald's: nothing special and expensive. With Thuisbezorgd, orders have already been cancelled 3 times after, say, 1 to 2 hours. You think you're ordering on time, but oh well, it just doesn't arrive. (Then adjust your delivery times accordingly.) If you try to call, the blame is shifted and you are practically yelled at by the female manager. She also just hangs up and apparently can't handle it when you refute her comments with facts. Inside, whether for pickup or eating there, it is also always a noisy mess and totally untidy. It seems like it's deteriorating there by the day. I will avoid this branch from now on and go to another one.

Like the average McDonald's, fast service, nothing special, friendly staff

You wouldn't want to be found dead in this place. Terrible company and largely the team as well. Many employees there lack any humanity. Very cold people without any form of empathy.

What a disappointing experience at McDonald’s Heerhugowaard. We were just here. Unfortunately for us, it isn't even worth 1 star. The hygiene was far below par. The toilets were incredibly dirty, with dirty rims and clearly neglected cleaning. The benches were also filthy and the floor looked unkempt. Additionally, the atmosphere was completely unpleasant due to groups of loitering teenagers. There is also a lack of an indoor play area for children, something we believe is an essential part of the real McDonald’s experience. For us, this was the first and immediately the last time. We will never return here. Hopefully, something will be done soon about the cleanliness, atmosphere, and overall appearance of this location.

Usually the food is still warm and I get the good stuff. You just shouldn't go around dinnertime (6:00 PM), then it's chaos.

I would like to point out that this McDonald’s is better than the one in Alkmaar. There are more staff working here, and they always manage to serve customers quickly. Although there is no separate entrance for delivery drivers, like in Alkmaar, delivery drivers receive their orders just as quickly here. There is also a host(ess) who welcomes guests, and there are many self-service ordering kiosks. For a city of this size, the level of service here is truly excellent, better than in Alkmaar.

Terrible, really, DONT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES They dont take people's health seriously, as i mentioned that i had covid, and was in the mcdrive for that reason; but they told me to go inside anyway (i was on bike) even though i already waited nearly 10 minutes :S Every time i order a burger without certain ingredients, i noticed they just scrape off the sauce and vegetables put some new toppings on it and then have the nerve to put a sticker on it that says "specially made for you". So yeah they dont give a damn about someone's allergies, not even a little bit. The milkshakes at this place are perpetually terrible. And french fries? If you order medium, expect your pack to be half filled. Every damn time. And they always put wayyyy too much salt on it to the point where you have to scrape it off. Might as well order small fries but theyll probably give you a total of 10 french fries at that point... I really dont understand why people still go to mcdonalds in the first place. It takes longer than fast food should, it is way too expensive, and the quality is so bad that even bears wont eat it. They always forget sauces, if youre allergic and dont want a specific ingredient they will just scrape it off and pretend like they made you a custom burger, and they always skimp on fries. Then you complain about it and EVERY TIME they say "people make mistakes". Damn right they do. The mistake you made with me is trying to scam me, they pretend like skimping on fries is an anomaly but in reality its the standard. Also the mess on the roads from your lazy clients... disgusting. You order a Coke here and you get Coke Zero. Many orders are incorrect, and if you complain about it, they call you a whiner in the kitchen.

I've always been impressed by the cleanliness of Dutch McDonald's restaurants, but this one was extremely dirty. You couldn't even tip it over because you were stuck to the floor.

I made a purchase this morning. When I arrived at work, I noticed that a chicken burger was missing. I called immediately and was treated kindly. I was told that I could come by later in the day and that the manager would give me the burger and an ice cream for the inconvenience. I said that I didn't need the burger anymore in the afternoon, because it was meant as lunch for a colleague. Then they said: “Don't worry, come by later and we will give you the money back.” So I went by today at 6:00 PM. The manager helped me and said that he could give me a burger. I said that I had called in the morning and that I had been told then that I could get my money back. He said: “I can give you a burger this time, but normally we give coupons.” I said: “No, I want my money back, I don't want coupons.” He treated me as if it was my fault that the order was incomplete. He got angry with me and I said: “If you had completed my order, I wouldn't be here.” Then he tapped his colleague on the shoulder and said something like everyone can make mistakes — and of course everyone can make mistakes. But because someone made a mistake, you are going to treat me as if it is my fault and decide how to compensate me, when the fault lies with the company? Eventually, he got angry and gave me my money back. But I find it disrespectful that one thing is said on the phone and then they say something else during the refund. I wanted my money back because I didn't pay with a coupon. Manager's attitude regarding problem solving: 0

I placed an order via Thuisbezorgd for lunch during working hours. Unfortunately, everyone's fries were missing. I tried to contact them by phone, but the lady on the line (team leader) was unfriendly; she interrupted me frequently and then blamed me for doing so. When I expressed my frustration, she simply hung up the phone! So I called again. The lady remained unfriendly, even though in her position she should always keep her emotions out of it. She refused to have the fries delivered after all because it was Thuisbezorgd's and my problem, not hers. Even though her staff had not processed the order correctly. Once again, she simply hung up the phone. After contacting Thuisbezorgd, I only received a refund for the fries and was once again charged for delivery and service costs totaling 5.50, which we are obviously not going to do. Furthermore, both the service and the delivery were truly very poor, as the food was cold too! For us, the McDonald's in Heerhugowaard has received a red card, and we will never order from here again!

It is always a mess here, trash cans overflowing and trash scattered throughout the restaurant. Somehow they also always manage to get your order wrong; things are missing or requests like "without sauce" are forgotten. I've also had a completely different order from the drive-thru once.

I ordered a cappuccino here yesterday, which is usually a decent cup at McDonald's. But this was absolutely dredging water. I explained it politely and got a new one, but it was still undrinkable.

Very rude employee of the mcDrive

This McDonald's is absolutely great. Busy but fast and good service, nice drive-through, delicious food. The price is like all prices for eating out. We paid 23 euros for 2 adults. It was clean and the staff was nice and friendly. We noticed they were really fast, which we were happy about. 🌼

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner tonight. We were really hungry and thought we'd grab a quick bite. Upon entering, it was immediately clear that the place was a complete mess, and the cleaning wasn't good at all. The floors were covered in stains, and the tables were completely dirty. Then the food. See the photo of the spicy McChicken, which was as dry as hell, and the fries were soaked in (probably old) grease. Of course, I can't expect to go into a four-star restaurant, but this whole situation, combined with the grumpy people walking around, officially makes this the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had. (The young lady who brought the food was very friendly, and she made things a bit better.)

Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to file a complaint about my recent takeaway order with order number RYT3T4 at McDonald's Heerhugowaard. We placed a large order, but even though it was well after rush hour, we had to wait over an hour for our order. When it finally arrived, the following issues occurred: - The entire order was ice cold. - The milkshake was incorrect: we ordered strawberry (this was also stated on the receipt and on the cup), but received chocolate. - The Big Tasty was the wrong variety. - There were no napkins or straws with the order. We subsequently called McDonald's Heerhugowaard several times. Finally, at 9:25 PM, they answered. The employee told us we had to file the complaint through Thuisbezorgd and that they could not help us. We stated that we simply wanted the hot, correct food we had paid for—if necessary, we would pick it up ourselves and exchange the cold food. However, this proved impossible. We had to wait for a response from Thuisbezorgd. We find this unacceptable. Where is the customer service and customer experience? I find it especially slow and not fresh at night. You wait way too long in the drive-thru for your food. Other McDonald's are much faster and fresher at night.

My son came home, he had ordered 20 chicken nuggets, when he arrived there were only 13 in it, he paid for 20 nuggets. Disappointed

I found this McDonald's to be messy, I got 2 cups of milkshake in a coffee cup and when I got home I could drink the milkshake and I got 2 mckroket and 2 small hamburgers.

Perfect Mac. Just like every Donald's. Nicely consistent nationwide, and quite delicious, of course. But you can have a good meal anywhere, and the fact that you don't have to do the dishes, etc., is fantastic too.
