The service was really slow for a McDonald's, 30 mins from order. Order screen not working correctly to tell you your order is ready, the facility itself was filthy, all bins overflowing and not even that busy, floors covered in chips and straw wrappers.

Does the staff not speak Dutch? Every time I go there, I hear the staff not speaking Dutch.

We only ordered teeeeeeeeeeeeee things and had to wait 20 minutes for them, which meant our McFluffies were completely melted, and we even had to mix them ourselves. The fries were too salty. The chicken nuggets tasted like nothing, so we will NEVER be coming back here!!!! More…

Wait for 30 minutes and not get my order for one ice cream.

Honestly, the cleaning guy deserves a shout-out. He was the only one actually doing anything. Everyone else was just chatting, and we only got our food when we complained. Even then, it was incomplete, and it was clear it had been sitting there for a while. The cleaning guy was juggling multiple tasks and was very respectful. There were people who arrived before us and still didn't have their food. They also don't know how to properly arrange the orders on the food trays. And the manager himself was just sitting around doing nothing, and everyone else only moved when they saw a lot of people complaining. You should be grateful that the cleaning guy is still open. Terrible service, honestly.

We waited about 20 minutes, even though there were only three occupied tables in the restaurant. When our order arrived, two sauces, two drinks, and a portion of fries were missing, and the food was cold. My hamburger was poorly cooked and tasted like mustard because they'd put so much on it. The restroom, which we'd paid for, was filthy, and the staff were chatting among themselves and weren't paying attention to their jobs. I can honestly say this is one of the worst McDonald's restaurants I've ever visited.

Too long. The staff is incredibly slow. There's nowhere to wash your hands! There's a woman at the bathroom entrance who tells you to go wash your hands in the next building. I won't be coming here again. :(

Sunday morning, empty McDonald's, exactly three people in it. Takes them 15 minutes to prepare your simple breakfast, and quite some strange people hanging around. Also get in once in a while. Ay ay ay. Where is our well-known lovely McDonald's with this great atmosphere and fast service?

Always a really long wait here. The staff isn't interested in customers or service. They're mostly focused on themselves. I've received the wrong order several times and haven't apologized. Today, October 26, 2025, I ordered the Big Arch to take away. As I always do at McDonald's Turfmarkt in The Hague, I look in the bag and open the box. I received the Big Arch in a Vega Crispy Chicken box, so I thought I'd just open the box. For an 8-euro burger... And well... for someone who works in the kitchen and doesn't know how to make a burger...! Terrible! The picture and description said, among other things, 3 slices of cheese... but there was only 1. So I went back inside and pointed this out: no apology, and they put 2 slices of cheese on the burger and took it back. I get home and see one meager piece of pickle, when it should have several slices. The lettuce is also meager. And all that for €8. Ugh. Jeez. I'm just paying for something on the menu, so is it so hard to give it to a customer like that? Weird. - Make pictures for the kitchen staff or something. Something they understand in different languages. Give them customer service training. It really wasn't super busy when I came by, so it couldn't have been stressful, especially not when a few people are just standing around and pacing around. And the manager doesn't notice anything. The burger is added to the picture as it should be (and I didn't really notice).

It took 30 minutes to order two burgers, everything was brought cold and they didn't give me a cola.

Extremely slow & they require payment to use toilet even for paying customers!

The restroom was occupied by one person for an hour. We had to leave without using the restroom.

McDonald's is no longer fast food. It took about half an hour to receive my order of 3 burgers, 2 drinks and fries, and 1 apple pie bites.

The place smells awful. It looks abandoned. The atmosphere is really bad. The food isn't better or worse than other McDonald's, but eating there is unpleasant.

It might be desirable to improve the cleaning, for hygiene reasons. The tables seemed a bit dirty to me, and when eating at a table, it's nice to be able to do so at a clean table.

During the meal, I went to pick up three undelivered items, only to realize later that a fourth (paid-for) item was never delivered.

Possibly the worst McD Experience in The Netherlands. Opened late. Cleaners started cleaning at opening time, and only opened 20 minutes later. Fast food? The waiting time was longer than any restaurant I’ve visited in Europe. Sticky floor does not help the sphere.

The slowest Macdonald’s service I have ever been too! The workers don’t pay attention to the fact that we’ve been waiting to make an order for so long and then even longer for getting our order done. Disappointment!

You get something else, even with that half of list missing, and should be prepared to wait till eternity. Hope this is temporary. Besides worth to note the place was clean.

Very dirty, tables are not washed, cleaning is not done on time

The manager, you might say, was only busy on the phone, the guy, you might say, was only busy with himself, and the same goes for the lady who couldn't speak Dutch or English. Waited 25 minutes for 3 cheeseburgers.

I was attacked by a cashier!! DO NOT GO HERE! I asked for some extra caramel sauce since they literally only put a drop on my sundae. I remained civil and respectful, but was literally attacked and punched by the cashier in question and then thrown out by security. Absolutely incompetent staff. Almost every single time I've ordered from them, they've missed out at least one item. How hard is it to read an order and pack the items accordingly? Appalling and ridiculous.

The manager here doesn't take you seriously. And then you bring a problem and he doesn't resolve it. The service is terrible. And the points machine doesn't work. And then you simply don't get your points because, according to the employee, it's your fault. Poorly managed.

The double burger didn't have 1 patty, no cucumbers, nothing but onions. When I asked for a replacement, they just added a cutlet and that was it.

Never come here! Firstly, it's extremely unhygienic, and secondly, the managers think they can threaten customers with their petty jobs. When I'm in the Netherlands, I was a regular customer at this branch. I also stayed at a pied-à-terre right above McDonald's. It was easy. Following a previous incident in the restrooms, I spoke with the franchise owner during a hygiene audit regarding a hygiene incident. The conversation went well, and after that, I was abroad for a while and didn't come back for a while. I was a regular customer here, by the way. During an order, an Arab manager started making a fuss on Christmas Day because I complained that my food hadn't arrived after waiting an hour. He became aggressive. He threw my food, which was still cold. I returned it, and this made him even more aggressive. I demanded different food, which he threw at me. I left it at that. It was simple: I never went back, and neither did mine or any other company here or anywhere else with McDonald's. Until yesterday, August 8th, I decided to go back again because McDonald's food is actually quite good. I wanted to use the restroom before eating, and it was locked? This happened more often than the restroom attendant would lock the door. I opened it myself, and immediately I was almost attacked by a sort of marriage-age Indonesian manager, much older than my own girlfriend. She thought she could impress me in a very aggressive manner, but she had no idea what she was dealing with. I humiliated her on the spot. I'm a customer, and a restaurant MUST have restrooms available by law. I let her know that I know the manager well and have had a lot of contact with him, and that I would report this incident. She then tried to throw me out, which, of course, didn't work, and I left voluntarily. No one throws me out anywhere, especially not someone with an immigrant background! I immediately contacted McDonald's, and contact regarding this incident will be re-established with the franchise owner. This is now the third incident, and also the last. I demand that the woman who considered me a very good McDonald's customer be fired. If not, I will take legal action, but I will also use my influence to reduce her customer base to a minimum. In principle, I am very friendly with the franchise owner. I don't need any concrete apologies, but this is my demand: this lowlife must be fired. I will not be threatened or insulted by anyone. I assume the owner will contact me by email, and we will settle this once and for all. This is truly the last time!

The toilet is paid, the food is not tasty, and we waited 25 minutes even though there was no one there

Toilet is not free to use and being enforced by a non-uniformed old lady who was screaming at customers. Not an acceptable way to treat paying customers.

It's shocking that consumers have to pay to use the restroom inside the establishment. I've never seen that in any McDonald's in the world...

Worst location in The Hague. I placed an online order, and it took an hour to arrive. Besides that, everything was perfect. The fries were cold, the nuggets were old, the wrong drinks were delivered, and three burgers were forgotten. When I called, the first three times, no one answered. The fourth time, they said the kitchen was closed and we could pick up the burgers tomorrow. Slow and poor service, and as soon as the staff realized the kitchen was closing for an hour, they rushed everything.

Had a nice day in The Hague until we went into this McDonald's, what a filthy place, tables were never cleaned and worst of all, there was a dog sitting as a toilet lady who was just really rude and then also asked 50 cents for the toilet even when eating there and also to children of 5 years old and mother who had to change the children's diapers, really the worst McDonald's in the Netherlands, really never experienced this and will not say anything about the restaurant service and cold food.

It was nice to have a day in The Hague with my friends oh how nice That was until I arrived at this mac an old woman got angry because I walked into the women's toilet and then you think that's bad, BUT THIS WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING I thought I'd eat a nice big tasty but I couldn't even finish it it was so dirty (see source) Don't come here!

I know that sometimes you have to lower your expectations at Mac but this really beat everything. Barely any movement in the kitchen, unmotivated staff and waited 20 minutes for order: 2 coffees and small fries at a quiet time of day. After a long wait also got the wrong coffees. How so. (Fries were nice and warm by the way, that's why 1 star)

A 20-minute wait for an order, so far we've been patient. But when we ask how things are going, we get a blasé, almost annoyed response, as if we're the ones to blame for not hearing a call... that never happened. We were right next to them, and as luck would have it, they finish the order in front of us at that moment. Magic. Three employees mobilized for this, it's almost an artistic performance. Bravo, service.

This fast food place offers good quality food and service. Unlike most Macdonalds restaurants this one holds its quality high.

Never again for us. Customer friendliness and hygiene are hard to find here. It is dirty inside. The tables are sticky and the food remains were still on the table. No tidying up or cleaning. Even the floor is dirty. The cola remains can still be seen on the floor. 1 star is still too much.

Even as a customer who spends a lot of money on unhealthy 'food,' you actually have to pay an additional 50 cents to use the restroom. And you're also reprimanded by an extremely unfriendly 'doorman' before you even use the restroom. A very disappointing and customer-unfriendly experience.

Cold fries, in first order then other order a warm cola zero. After waiting nearly 30 minutes for an additional order, I went to the counter. No eye contact or communication. I was handed a warm drink. I mentioned there was also a burger, which was then handed to me without a word or any acknowledgment. Left their warm drink and location with this review.

Highly ridiculous that you have to pay a multi billion dollar company 50 euro cent to use the toilet. Such a dumb Dutch way of doing things. This is not necessary and a prehistoric practice. Blatant disregard to the human need to use one.

It's in the middle of centrum so it's a really hectic place, my advise is just to go to other nearby McDonald's, there is one really close by and much better.

This McDonald's is a good place to grab a bite to eat or wait for the train. It has some seats where you can charge your phone.

I find it ridiculous that if you eat or drink something here you also have to pay 50 cents for the toilet. This should be a service for customers.

I ordered a Big Mac and it wasn't cooked and that meant I got sick, I didn't eat my chicken nuggets and fries because of this, I thought that was a shame. Before I started on my Big Mac I ate 1 fry, it was cold and limp.

Everyone is absolutely overwhelmed and unfriendly. Waiting 15-20 minutes for even a simple drink is simply the last thing for a McDonald's. Dozens of people are standing and waiting for everything here... I don't want to start talking about the 50ct for the toilet for paying guests

The restaurant was almost empty, but we still waited for our food for more than 15 minutes. We ordered a Croissant and it came with butter, but the knife was not part of the package. 🤷‍♀️ We had no way to spread the butter. However, the food was tasty, but the staff was not very enthusiastic about having to work today.
