The food was fantastic! The surprise menu and the 4-course vegetarian menu were refined, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Collin was a wonderful host: friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Disappointing food that took nearly an hour and a half to arrive.

Shared dining concept with several vegetarian options. All the dishes we ordered were very good and tasty. The waitress was friendly and even made delicious mocktails upon request. However, the prices are a bit high.

Went there yesterday and overall the whole experience was amazing. Had the Green Goddess, Artichokes, Seabass, Crispy Cauliflower and Lambsrack. All 12/10. The Artichokes with the vegan feta was a really nice surprise. Dessert: Halva Mirage, was also delicious

On July 19th, a group of eight dined at Medi with family, which was a huge disappointment. It was incredibly hot and stuffy inside, with the air conditioning not working properly or not working properly. It was certainly not pleasant. Moreover, a dark-skinned employee or manager reacted incredibly arrogantly when we mentioned it was hot inside! There wasn't much choice in terms of bubbly, so we ordered a bottle of cava, which was served lukewarm, not cold at all. We ordered food, but not everything arrived on time or at the same time. After a long wait, we were told in an incredibly arrogant and unfriendly manner that it was too busy, and therefore half of the food wasn't brought to our table until almost half an hour later. So half of us had to eat, and the remaining half had to wait in the same hot and stuffy atmosphere until our food arrived. When I asked the one employee with a dark beard why it was taking so long, he said, "Can't you see the restaurant is full? You'll have to wait a bit." In short, some vegetarian dishes were tasty, like artichokes and green goddess eggplant, but the lamb rack had been cooked far too long, was dry, and certainly not tender. The chicken thigh was a very small square piece. Personally, I found the price-quality/quantity ratio to be inadequate. We were there to celebrate a birthday, but without ordering dessert, we decided to pay and leave for a much better place to celebrate the birthday with cake and a pleasant atmosphere. By the way, after waiting so long to pay, no one said goodbye! Medi is definitely not recommended.

It's all a matter of taste! There were four of us, and everyone enjoyed it. The owners (young people) have a concept, and many people seem to like it. Without a reservation, it's difficult to get a table. The food was varied and delicious.

I've never been so amazed by how delicious vegetables can be. I'm a true meat eater, but I've eaten such delicious meatless dishes at Medi that if I were vegetarian everywhere I'd tasted the same, I'd become a vegetarian. The shareware dining was excellent. The host, Collin, is incredibly knowledgeable about food and also recommends the perfect drink to accompany it, whether it's wine or a cocktail. The meat skewers we received at the end were also incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant. TIP: Tell us your preferences, and Collin will create a personalized cocktail for you. Our two ladies, one of whom has a distinctive palate, received two perfect cocktails that perfectly matched their tastes.

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience at Medi yesterday. We were seated in a somewhat secluded corner, and it was very warm inside. It took at least 20 minutes for our order to be taken. We ordered mezze to start, three hot dishes, and a bottle of wine. Wine is always a matter of taste, but we found the wine very disappointing for a €45 bottle. We arrived at 7:30 PM and finally received our three dishes at 9:15 PM. In between, we only had the mezze, and it was quickly finished because we were hungry. Unfortunately, two of the three dishes were also cold. We pointed this out, and it was quickly and professionally resolved, so thank you for that. Unfortunately, the lamb was cooked far too long (for our taste). There was nothing pink or tender left. Otherwise, the dishes were delicious. We didn't have the opportunity to share this feedback during the evening. We weren't asked if everything was to our liking during the meal. To pay, we went to the bar because no one came to our table. Here too, no one asked if everything was to our liking, either before or after we paid, and we weren't greeted.

What delicious dishes! Everything we ordered was delicious and flavorful. The plates were beautifully presented. We started with the jamon and eggplant. It took us an hour to finish the delicious food, and there were six of us. Then came the next round with octopus, rack of lamb, and artichokes. Overwhelmingly flavorful. Michelin-star quality. Finally, we had the sea bass and chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our dessert was affogato. We enjoyed delicious wine with all of this. What a wonderful evening! A huge compliment to the chef and the staff.

Disappointing from quality of wine, food quality, ambience and service. Wine and food are wrong & under-seasoned + lamb is almost well done. Service was okay but nothing else to say. Overpriced for this level, don’t get why it gets 4.7 score on Google.. totally feel being fooled.

One of my favorite places in DH. I can’t say what’s better, the service or the food, both are excellent. We had the surprise menu and it was one dish after the other of really good food. The accompanying wines were very good as well. We will keep coming back and recommending this place to our friends.

Waitress not sufficiently trained to interact with customers, food was mediocre and portions small, and not well cooked. They charge 3 Euros per person for a tap water, which is unacceptable.

We enjoyed the food and the cozy atmosphere. The ingredients were very fresh, with a well-balanced mix of flavors. The chef used a thoughtful blend of herbs and seasonings to bring out the natural taste of the meat and vegetables, while also adding creative elements. The white asparagus and the lamb were delicious. Highly recommended.

MEDI can surprise you with many dishes, a great place to have a good dinner with nice music and atmosphere and the service is great. I'll be back for sure and soon. Lets come to MEDI

Exceptionally tasty, fresh modern mediterranean kitchen (small tapas-like portions to share), big wine and veggy selection, very friendly service. We had a perfect evening, thank you!

Ate at MEDI, nice concept and something for everyone. Enthusiastic service, everything came to the table quickly. Glass of viognier was tasty. Food is tasty, not wow and a bit overpriced in our opinion. 3€ pp for tap water is interesting to mention. Good atmosphere otherwise, lots of potential :)

Almost by chance we ended up at MEDI. What an experience! The welcome was already warm. We chose the surprise menu. What a spectacle that was. We went from one surprise to the next and the dishes were sublime in one word. Too bad they don't want to reveal the secrets 😊😊😊😊. A big 9 for these guys.

Welcomed by Collin with good explanation about the possibilities of offer. We were allowed to make our choices during a delicious aperitif and then enjoy the culinary excursions around the Mediterranean. The vegetarian dishes are really recommended!

The food was fantastic, without exception. Very inpressive for what seemed to be a rather young chef! The staff were relaxed and friendly throughout the evening, and they left us to our food without offering another drink every five minutes. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

Our waiter was the best! Recommend tasty food, wine . Everything was done with good humour and warm feelings. I think he was French.

As the name suggests, this place offers a shared dining experience featuring dishes from around the Mediterranean — and it was delicious. A plate of three dishes is recommended, but of course, you always have the option to order more. We started with the Medi Antipasti, which came with a generous amount of cured meats; rustic, crunchy bread lightly drizzled with olive oil; big, fleshy olives — I’ve never had anything like them; a small bunch of grapes; and aioli that was subtle and not too overpowering. The Green Goddess Aubergine was lovely. I was unsure about the maple syrup, but it blended well with the Mediterranean spices. To follow, the lamb rack was beautifully done and served on a bed of pearl couscous — both were full of flavour. The wine that paired nicely was the Nebla, which was rich yet light. To finish, we had the matcha crème brûlée. The matcha flavour was quite faint, but the crème brûlée itself was utterly delicious. A point to note about this place is that a reservation is highly recommended, as the seating is quite limited. When you do reserve, there may be a time restriction (which is stated when you book), depending on how busy it is. If you’re looking for an intimate dining experience with friendly and suave staff, this is the place for you.

Rote Beete mit Ziegenkäse, Pilze mit Soja, leckeren Fisch und ein Dessert zum genießen. Leckeren Weißwein aus der Slowakei, Amareo aus Italien. Mega Lication und extrem nette Gastgeber. Wenn wir in Den Haag leben würden, wäre das MEDI unser Favorit.

Excellent food, many vegan/vegetarian options that do not suck. Great wine menu and amazing cocktails by Collin! (I hope I spelled it correctly). My favorite dish was the Pulpo with the jalapeño foam, but I really enjoyed every single bit I tried. Interesting and trendy Asian combinations embedded into mediterranean cuisine (e.g. miso or soy sauce). The service is also very great and welcoming. Was able to communicate the dishes very well.

In the middle of the city, overlooking the large church, you will find Miedi. A pleasant and, above all, very culinary choice for an evening with friends and family. The food is something to write home about. The service also knows what they are talking about and thinks along with you about allergies. My partner and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary at MEDI and had an absolutely wonderful night. We'll be back again. Be prepared for a full-night dining experience. Time between courses is long, but if you go in with that expectation, then you're in for a great time. You can always ask for snacks or bread between courses. The food was all delicious and really flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy and the place is not too big, so it's nice for a romantic dinner. Colin was our sommelier for the evening and also our server 2 years ago when we had our first date there. He remembered us! And gave a really nice wine recommendation with our meal. He's a super friendly guy and a joy to chat with while going over the food and drink menu. It was like running into an old friend. MEDI is one of our personal spots in Den Haag now.

Very nice restaurant, basically Mediterranean fusion kitchen - as they propose from all 22 Mediterranean countries! in combination with own ideas! Outstanding! Even Slowenian whine from the region of Stajerska! A5 out of 5! The lavender creme brûlée - outstanding, as was the carpaccio, the mushrooms and the cabbage!

The food was excellent. However the place was cold, the toilets terrible and if you want your clients to sit at a window make sure it is cleaned.

We eat and cook Mediterranean food a lot so expectations were high. We really enjoyed the food, delicious flavours. We chose 6 dishes: 5 veggie and the beef carpaccio rather than their surprise option. All were explained in detail when served and were delicious. Would have been 5 stars across the board but they were completely full and service was slow, although very friendly and responsive. Also it was incredibly noisy so we literally gave up trying to have a conversation!! All hard surfaces inside. But food was great. Book ahead.

It's been a great epxerience to have our special evening at MEDI. The hospitality was at its top! The other side of the curtain makes you forget where you actually are and the vibe you feel is pretty much the same when you feel being somewhere in Mediterranean coast. Meze plate and Artichoke became our favourite along with Aubergine. Looking forward to give surprise menu a try sometime soon. In short, definitely worth to visit and taste.

Delicious food, delicious drinks, and a cozy atmosphere. We chose the eggplant, carpaccio, pulpo, and sea bass. All excellent. According to them, yesterday was their busiest day of the year, and it definitely showed. The service was chaotic. It's difficult for them to seat guests and demonstrate that personal touch. Having a staff member assigned to each "area" would be better. We dealt with different people, which makes it less personal. If you don't take action, it takes longer to get your attention. We made an extra effort to be seen. The restaurant can definitely be improved. But otherwise, it was magnificent. We had a delicious meal, compliments to the kitchen staff. Cozy atmosphere with dimmed lights. Beautiful interior. The restroom could be better organized; that would make it even more appealing. The details need to be addressed. Will the restaurant operations improve? And will they continue doing what they do? Then they'll be full every day. Best of luck! We'll be back!

One of the worst dinning experiences in the Netherlands. Horrendously organized kitchen. They delivered us wrong menu we didn’t order *thrice* during our 90 minutes stay. We had to tell the staff it wasn’t what we ordered. The climax of their service was when they didn’t serve duck breast we ordered and *refused* to cook it as we wouldn’t have time for *dessert*. We waited for 30 minutes for our first course to be served and 20 minutes for second course. And we can’t have our menu cooked because we were running out of time when they served food very late? I complained to the staff and meanwhile other 2 tables who came after us got duck breast. It didn’t make sense. I didn’t want to be that kind of person but I had to talk to the manager. The manager eventually served duck breast and it was on house. And yet, we couldn’t have our dessert as we were only allowed to stay for 90 minutes although we simply wasted 50 minutes waiting for food. Food was rather nice but their awful service ruined the magic of valentine’s day. I do not want to visit again.

The food was incredibly tasty. We both went for the surprise menu which is definitely recommended. Nice relaxed atmosphere and nice waiters. on the pricey side but I thought it was worth the money!

What a lovely restaurant! And it looks so inviting when you walk in. You wouldn't expect that from the outside. The welcome is very warm, and they passionately explain the menu and the inspiration for the restaurant. A delicious menu with dishes perfect for sharing. It's hard to choose! Recommendations include the eggplant, the sea bass, and the pulpo. We were surprised with a divine oxtail extra. Add this to the menu! Finger-licking good! We'll definitely be back.

As a party of eight we decided to have the shared surprise dinning experience. It was a surprise, surprisingly dreadful. One of the worst dining experiences of my life. The gap between the first round of food and the second was around 40 minutes. The beef was tough and fatty. I couldn’t eat it. The carrots were overcooked. The mushrooms inedible, we repeatedly asked for bread because we were so hungry but that also took an extraordinarily long time to arrive. When we asked for napkins, a waitress arrived with a few and asked us who wanted one. We all wanted one!!!The cabbage was old and smelt dreadful. In addition, the ladies toilets were out of order and the seating was incredibly uncomfortable. When we complained, management were more interest in our money than our concerns. This experience cost each of us over 50 euro. A total rip off. Don’t eat here, there are plenty of other really great dining experiences in Den Haag.

This year I chose MEDI to celebrate my birthday. The vibe is good, and the service is warm. Foods are pretty creative and nice. I had a good experience in discovering different flavors between dish to dish. We had surprise menu and it was super good. I was impressed by how creative they use the nuts and sauce in the food. The cocktail was not the best I had but they are still fine. One tip for who is reading comments: it's a worth-to-try place. But you should be prepared for the size of the food and the bill. I will recommend people to try here.

WOW WOW WOW, what a find! My husband took me here for my 50th birthday dinner, just the two of us. It was our first time at MEDI and WOW what an experience! The ambiance is fantastic… From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out, absolutely incredible! The food is out of this world, you definitely won’t be disappointed. In fact, you’re missing out if you haven’t wrapped your taste buds around the beautiful food experience. The shared dining concept works extremely well as you get to taste all the things that tickle your fancy! My favourites?… Definitely start with the humus board and also try the Green Goddess Aubergine, that will make your taste buds explode! And the bubbles and wines… oh my… The icing on the cake is the cocktail experience. Collin does his utmost to create your signature cocktail there and then! And again WOW!! Try The Duchess cocktail and/or the DINGLE FINGLE !! But Collin’s Espresso Martini is one not to miss either! ;-) If you haven’t been to MEDI before… make sure you book at least one week in advance!

Delicious food, great staff. It's a bit crowded, though, and tables change frequently throughout the evening. If you sit near the door, people are constantly coming up to your table to put on or take off their coats.

The place is correct let’s be honest, but the price…it’s not a Michelin star restaurant…the duck oh my god the duck, I think half of it is still in liberty, the portions are sooo ridiculous. In a nutshell not worth the price and I am used to shared dishes got else where, there is so much better in The Hague…soo disappointing ps : the service is disorganised

It is a good restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and nice service. My only suggestion is to do something about the acoustics. The interior only has hard surfaces. The walls, floor and ceiling are all hard surfaces. The result is that the human brain can no longer define sounds. In other words; all sounds that is the human voice, music, clatter from the kitchen, clinking of glass comes across as a mass of sound. Spending several hours surrounded by noise is taxing on your brain and nervous system. So you come out of the restaurant tired.

Last Friday we had dinner with a large group. The food was phenomenal! We had the surprise menu. The dishes were varied (vegetarian, fish and meat) and had beautiful ingredients that went well together. Points for improvement: 1. Acoustics. You can't hear each other or the service well. Because of this you sometimes miss explanations. 2. Service. Very friendly people, but they are too busy with each other instead of with the guests. Check more often whether orders are coming through correctly and also ask more often if drinks are wanted. 3. Toilets. The door handle fell off, it smelled strange and the tap is mysterious. It looked like an escape room...

Food great, red primitivo wine too Service very friendly and communicative. A notch slow Atmosphere cosy, music pleasant, perhaps kitchen can be closed off with bean curtains to shield off the bright light from the kitchen.

It was quite cold and our orders were regularly forgotten. Staff worked hard, but somehow kept forgetting our orders. Also, our coats were taken, but we had to find them back ourselves. Customer who paid is no longer a customer? Food was okay-ish. Fancy menu, but somehow tasted a bit funny (maybe too much butter?). It's a nice and international place, so we were surprised that our experience was meh.

Food was tasty and unique. Was a dark restaurant, for us it was not a problem, but you have to like it. Only downside was that at the end we had to wait a very long time for the bill despite asking for it twice. Otherwise had a very pleasant evening.
