The food here is delicious! And for very reasonable prices, right in the city center! I come here weekly now. Can I recommend anything else? No, absolutely everything is delicious. What do I often order? Cashew chicken and the Tahoe Telor, which is packed with protein. And the flavor also exceeded my expectations.

Prabumulih is a city in South Sumatra, about 80 km from Palembang. Here you can enjoy South Sumatra cuisine. The food is delicious and authentic (I've been to Prabumulih and Palembang five times myself, and I think I can judge that). I've eaten here twice already. The first time, I had a typical Palembang specialty, mie celor. It wasn't on the menu, but the lovely people made it for me. The second time, I had ayam cashew. Both were delicious. Highly recommended.

We ordered nasi rames , pempek and tempe mendoan. They were good. The pempek was served with the sauced separated which is uncommon in Indonesia, but perhaps it's good for people who are not use to the taste of the "cuko". The restaurant is small and with a bit dated decoration. The toilet could be a bit cleaner.

After reading the many positive reviews, also from people who know about it, we had high expectations. But, although it tasted reasonable (so not delicious!), we did not expect that everything would be placed on a plate from the display case with an upturned bowl of bami/nasi in the middle and then heated up in the microwave. Nothing is freshly prepared for you. As a result, some parts of the meat were dry, including the satay. Even the satay sauce and the bami were dry. The meat on the edge of the plate was still half cold. The broccoli was still almost raw, I had hoped that this would at least be stir-fried. Too bad! The plates of food were also not served at the same time. Table next to us with 4 people: there was almost 10 minutes between plate 1 and plate 4. Well, if you only have 1 microwave... Our visit was therefore a one-off. The staff is friendly enough but no one seems to speak Dutch.

I came here with my family on the way to another city in the Netherlands. It was my birthday. I am Indonesian. So, I told myself that I want to eat an Indonesian meal. I did my research on the internet and came across this restaurant. When we arrive, we are warmly welcomed by the owner. Very warm. The menu list is very varied. For those who are vegetarian, who love fish, and of course meat. I chose a menu with fish. And frankly, I really enjoyed it. I have lived in France for 11 years now. And it was the first time that I finally found an Indonesian restaurant that tasted like my mother's cooking. It made me so happy! The meal is excellent! The price is reasonable, even cheap compared to many Asian restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here one day.

Typical Indian restaurant: it's all about the food, and the rest is secondary. The place is clean and a bit impersonal - but that doesn't matter. The food is delicious, full of flavor and authentic. When we ate there, a large Indian family was having a nice meal at the table next to us. Recommended: the rendang and the tempeh.

One of the better shops in The Hague. Authentic Indonesian food. Lamb (one of their specialties) was really delicious! For the Rames you just walk to the display case and they tell you what they have. When paying, the lady checked whether the food was not too spicy (which it certainly was not).

Unfortunately not. The tables were not cleaned. Everything was pretty unkempt and uncomfortable. The food was not good and was just reheated in the microwave. The fried rice had a nasty aftertaste. Was a failure.

We had to wait a long time, but eventually we received our delicious food. After dinner we had a nice conversation with the Chef, which was very enlightening. For us and the Chef himself. So we will definitely eat there again next time. You can walk away angry and use social media to vilify everything and everyone. But if you can't discuss it, then that's it.

Ok, you're eating in what seems like a glorified snack bar, but the food here is so tasty! Went here for the first time on a food tour (Indofoodtours by Eating Habits) and have since taken people here several times to try the delicious cuisine again. Recommended!

Visited Praboemoelih, a cozy Indonesian restaurant in The Hague. We tried the Ayam Penyet, a delicious fried chicken dish served with cucumber, tomato, lettuce, sambal, and white rice. Unforgettable Indonesian experience! Today we enjoyed a delicious Indonesian meal! This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Don't expect luxurious furnishings - no, this feels like coming home with the old skool plastic tablecloths that remind us of the past. But what really matters is the food, and it is simply phenomenal! A small restaurant run by family members, where hospitality is of paramount importance. From the moment we walked in, we immediately felt welcome. And then the food… we had the satay Ayam, special rames and chicken cashew, and it was all delicious! The flavors were so rich and authentic, we just couldn't stop eating. Definitely worth repeating to try the other dishes. This restaurant stole our hearts!

The food was delicious. I had the fried tempeh with a sweet soy sauce, and my mother had a grilled chicken with rice. The portions were quite large in our opinion. The owner is very nice and the ambience feels authentic.

It was not difficult choosing to have something to eat with a friend of mine. It quickly became Indonesian and the right restaurant was quickly selected. I was particularly excited to try the pempek here and let someone else try it. After all, he didn't know it and it was a traditional dish for me and my mother. It was delicious and we also really enjoyed the rames. Thanks and I will definitely come back here again!

I don't have enough familiarity to Indonesian food to be able to judge authenticity, but I will have to say this is some of the most flavorful, complex, dishes of South East Asian cuisine that we've ever had. Each dish we ordered was distinct in its own presentation of flavors and aromas, all having their own depth. …and the sambal…wow! What a delight to have a complex sambal with good heat. I think by local standards, people would characterize it as extremely hot, as a waitress at another restaurant frame spiciness as a local 9 out of 10 might be an Asian 5 out of 10 in heat. I'd say the sambal here is incredibly flavorful and complex with a 8 out of 10 in heat. Nothing at this establishment felt "adapted" to local market tastes, but rather anchored to the home palette. It seem to show as we were the only customers who were not Indonesian on our visit. That's always a good sign. The service is friendly, and warm. We thoroughly enjoyed our time dining here and will definitely be back again!

Everything was perfect if it weren't for the very long food arrival time. We wait for more than 30 minutes for food, even the drinks came after 20 minutes.

Chaos around ordering: despite the fact that it was my turn right away, 3 people (friendly by the way, absolutely) care about my order, they check 4 times what I want to eat (there is no form of system/clarity) I get 25' not what I ordered - while it is a matter of serving up what I point to and heating it up... I didn't have time to wait any longer so I said 'that's fine', but when paying I was charged first what I ordered. ordered instead of what I received (normal instead of special). Doesn't give a good start to a meal...

Had to wait 20 minutes to order. Ordered a soup, she came back to tell me they didnt have it. I ordered a different soup, she came back again to tell me they didnt have it. Then I ordered one of their 6 specialties, they came back AGAIN to tell us they dont have it, so we decided to leave. After having to sell someone no two times, you might wanna consider just telling what on the menu is not available

Went with my dad, my partner, and my friend and we split the Praboe-Pan (for 4+ people). It was amazingly delicious and flavorful, a huge amount and variety of food! We ate til we were stuffed and even had 1-2 meals worth to take home as leftovers. This was our first dinner in the Netherlands (visiting from the US) and it was the perfect meal to kick off our trip.

This review should be posted a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to post it. I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident as I walked by on my way to bierkade to take my canal boat tour in Den Haag for the first time. Although I heard about this place from another foodie friend but I didn't expect I would passed by. As an Indonesian descent who has tasted pempek at the home of pempek, South Sumatra. Their pempek is the closest one to what I had back when I was visiting OKU (Ogan Komring Ulu) 25 years ago. The pempek's chewiness and fish taste is what I expected. The classic pempek should have a soft and chewy texture at the same time due to the procesbeing t overly mixed like a bakso. Also, the way they fry the pempek isn't super crispy like most pempek in Java (Jakarta and etc) Again, the cuko (sauce) isn't super sweet like most pempek in Java (Jakarta and etc). It has a good balance between sweet, sour, and spicy. And I'm happy they don't serve with the noodles like most pempek again in Java. I'll be back for tasting out different South sumatran foods. This time, i tried their celimpungan (fish cake in coconut milk stew) and really loved it! I also brought my Dutch husband to come along, and he really enjoyed the bakso (meatballs soup). This isn't the bakso malang (bakwan) that I grew up with, but it had a good broth and a perfect meaty chewiness for the meatballs

This place is a great find among some of the many authentic Indonesian cuisine in Den Haag, especially if you're looking to try South Sumatera delicacies. The restaurant specializes in Pindang, a flavorful soup stew that’s definitely worth trying. I’ve been coming here especially for the 'Pindang Patin (silver catfish)' and 'Pindang Tulang (beef)'. Make sure to check out their specialiteit menu! It's a small, family-run spot with a homey Indonesian family restaurant vibe. But don't worry, it has enough seat inside. I really hope more people discover and appreciate the flavors of South Sumatera through this restaurant. Also, their spicy sambal is nice—not toned down, which is a plus for me!

I am a Malaysian who frequently visited Indonesia before moving to NL. I have to say the food here is amazing and really tasted authentic. I considered gatekeeping this place for the fear of it being too famous but this family run place, with its friendly service, I think it’s a disservice for me to not give them a great review. It really reminds me of the warungs in Indonesia. We were a party of 4 that ordered quite a number of dishes (9 if you are wondering). We had the ayam penyet (x3), ayam bakar, soto ayam, tahu telor, ikan bakar, oxtail soup, tempeh goreng, es cendol, es campur, Indonesian iced tea, lemon tea. Yes, we were an enthusiastic bunch and we have no control 😂. All dishes comes with rice. Their sambal was fireeeeee (read spicy). Please tread with caution cause they ain’t playing. Waitress was very kind to warn us that it’s very spicy. Were we overconfident and thought we can manage cause we love spice and are from Malaysia? Yes. Did we almost d*e? Also yes. But no regrets Tahu telor: 10/10 fantastic. Soto ayam: 10/10 brought a tear to my eye. Ayam bakar: sedap banget (very delicious) Ayam penyet: at this point I was stuffed silly but comments were it was also good. I wished it was served with some crispy tempeh. Tempeh medoan: super crispy. Enak sekali! (Delicious) Ikan bakar: Well cooked (not over). Sauce, yums. Oxtail soup (sup buntut): I did not have it but my friends cleared it.. so it must be good. It is a relatively small establishment that was filled really quickly. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because it is summer and it felt a little stuffy to me. The hot sambal may have contributed to me feeling hot as well 😂 Will I be back? No doubt and I am bringing all my friends!

We dined in, the rames options and size for price was great! They only get 4 stars though, because the fantastic, amazing, delicious (I mean I’d present it to the masterchef judges fantastic) Laksan soup I had, which is very similar to Laska soup) was way too small for a meal, granted it was only 10.50, but think about a normal dessert bowl from a dinner set and then think about it being only 3 quarters full :(. I’d pay more for at least triple the size that’s more like a normal soup size that you get from most of these types of restaurants. In fact l when I go back I’m going to negotiate that very thing with them! They also have many more interesting options that I can’t wait to try out!

Always take out their delicious dishes for lunch. Their cashew chicken is the best in town. I keep ordering it :-)

A great find in Den Haag. Great tasting food. Warm staff and owner. Clean environment. Nasi Rames with rendang and Tempe feels like home. Gado-gado’s sauce is authentically yummy. Es Cendol and es campur are just great for the summer and anytime too. A recommended Indonesian restaurant in Den Haag for sure!

We had a great late lunch here. We ordered the restaurant specialities, Pindang tulang and Pindang ikan. Both are authentic from South Sumatera area and absolutely tasty. Will be back soon :)

Great Indonesian restaurant. Authentic South Sumatran dishes. The tempe mendoan is great, as are most fish dishes. No alcoholic beverages.

Sublime! Authentic and quite delicious. I was surprised to see that they had grilled catfish on the menu and I didn't regret ordering it. If you are someone who has a low spicy tolerance, make sure to inform them as the dishes are moderately spicy.

An earnest and flavorful dinner. This is a family restaurant and you can taste it all the way. I had Indonesian ice tea, chicken cashew with fried rice and 🍧 shaved ice for dessert. Happy camper all the way!

Authentic in every way, without frills, delicious food (nasi kuning rames and sate kambing, wow). Absolutely recommended. And it turned out that it was pleasantly busy.

Found their stall at the Pasar Indonesia in the Broodfabriek in Rijswijk. Traditionally we had something to eat during our visit to the Pasar. Delicious Nasi Pandang with jengkol. We were very surprised by the fine taste and spiciness of South Sumatran cuisine; generally the Pasar food is quite mediocre in taste!

Enjoyed a very authentic Indonesian lunch here - highly recommend! Very friendly owners who were patient to explain the menu. We tried Satay Kambing, Mee Soto, Ayam Penyet, Campur rice with rendang & beans, and home made fish cake glass noodles soup + cendol & lemongrass tea. Flavorful, authentic & very delicious 😋 we plan to return if we visit Den Haag again!

The food was great, and it arrived quite fast. Staff is incredibly nice. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good food.

Praboemoelih is open quite recently so the place is not well known yet. However the food quality is very good and the price is softer than other well established Indonesian restaurants in town. The Soto Ayam came with white rice on the side. The soup itself was very flavourful, a bit salty so it went nicely with the rice. The Ayam penyet is crispy and moist, really cooked to perfection. The store atmosphere is a bit dull and stuffy. It looks a bit messy maybe because things are still set up. Hopefully it is better next time we come by.

I have been meaning to taste the food here and I am super happy that I am finally here enjoying my Tekwan & Cendol. No wonder the tekwan is so delicious, the owner and the cook are originally from Palembang, the capital city of South Sumatra, home for tekwan and pempek. I’ll definitely come back to try the pempek and absolutely recommend this Indonesian resto/toko to you all!

This toko is for take out but also they have about 20 couverts for dining. It is a simple place but the warmth of the owners is 5 star and then I have not even talked about the food. Outstanding! We kicked of with beautiful soups. Celimpungan, fish balls in a yellow coconut soup and Laksan, fish cakes in a spicy red coconut soup. Well balanced flavors and very fresh. After that we stuck with the South Sumatran dishes. Ikan Bakar, sea bream. Perfectly grilled. So tasty. Make sure to try their sambal as it is great. They import their rawit from Indonesia and make small batches. To finish it off we had Tjendol which definitely was one of the best we had in a long time. A very fine culinary experience. Go there!

They just recently open! The cook is from Palembang, Mr. Zaenal did a good job making those Tekwan and Pempek. We were there quite early, and he was attentive with our need. 5/5 for the service. They can work and add bit more atmosphere with some music. Overall good eating experience!

I ate Rames speciaal yesterday with bami,Nasi, chicken, Beef, Tofu, veggys and 1 kipsate spies and a Little Bit of kroepok. ( no scampis to offer ) Taste was okay, Portion was too small for 16€ -> there are better ones Like in alphen rijn at Hooftstraat for only 12 Euro and tastier/fresher . Now its 8:30 and im sitting in the Toilet with Bad stomach pain.

Betaalbare prijzen en het eten is simpel maar onwijs lekker

Tempatnya bersih, pencahayaannya bagus. Saya pesan tekwan, rasanya enak sekali, bumbunya terasa. Harganya juga oke (€10,- per porsi). Untuk minum saya pesan teh jahe, ternyata jahenya direbus bersamaan dengan air panas, jadi nendang banget rasanya!

Nett empfangen worden von dem Besitzer, tolle Empfehlung durch das Personal, kurze Wartezeiten für Getränke und Essen und viel leckeres frisch zubereitetes Essen. Die Preise waren ortsüblich. Gerne wieder.

I went there to check one of the must-dos in The Hague - “try Indonesian food”. It’s a cute family owned place, super friendly service, reasonably priced, a hidden gem at the edge of the busy streets. I was a bit unsure because it’s my first time having Indonesia food, the owners were very patient. They explain and show me every dish. I had coconut rice with beef and veggie, the chicken skewers in satay sauce, plus the Indonesian ice tea. I loved them all!! The experience encourages me to try Indonesian food elsewhere! But I would definitely come back here if I’m visiting The Hague again!
