Mercado Uno in Spaarndammer- en Zeeheldenbuurt

A great little shop located away from the touristy Amsterdam area. They offer empanadas with eight different fillings to choose from. Prices are €3.50 for one empanada, and €23.50 for a pack of six. And the empanadas are made fresh, not "just" warmed up. It's definitely worth a visit. I'd say the value is good.

I’ve tried their empanadas 3 times, first time was amazing. Especially the fillings are really tasty, my fav was the beef one. Second time was at rollende keukens, which was terrible. I wanted to give it another chance since rollende keuken was a food festival with sonmany peopele, therefor equality might have been sacrificed. The last time I had mixed feelings, fillings were good but as mentioned in other comments, dough was thick. I cut them to see more clear. There is a potential, I hope they improve the quality because it is very rare to have something tasty in Amsterdam

Went into today as I was recommended by a friend. The food was something different with amazing flavours combined together. I ordered the steak sandwich ( 10/10 ) and the empanadas were delicious. All around amazing trip. I’ll be back again soon.

Label process is cute. However the quality has gone down here. Pastry had a thin white uncooked layer beneath, and strangely the flavours of each empanada option somehow do not taste distinct enough. We ate them all, but really not as delicious as I remember from before.

Delicious food for a fair price. The food was made fresh after we ordered and served quickly. The place has a pleasant atmosphere and looks very clean. The owner is super friendly and likes to share interesting stories. In addition to the freshly prepared options which you can eat in or take away, you can find traditional Argentinean products there like Dulce de Leche and Alfajores.

i always get the classic burger and it is one of the best burgers i had in Amsterdam for that price its delicious , juicy and simply at a great price . the owner is always friendly and welcoming . a great feel good feeling of a local spot when you go in very highly recommended.

Argentinian soul and amazing food! 🌞 You can choose between different kinds of empanadas, my favourite is the Vegetariana with spinach and Gorgonzola. They have an empanada of the month always with a different flavour and always delicious. The sandwiches are so good as well, the Quarter Pound Classic it’s the best! The service is kind and attentive, you fell they love what they do! Always a pleasure to go there and eat amazing food!

Super tasty empanadas and sandwiches, but that (yellow) habanero sauce is really “to die for”! And all that for a fair price. Definitely try the steak sandwich. Best sandwich in Amsterdam, if not the Netherlands, haven't found a better one yet…

Mercado Uno has become our absolute go-to place. The food is delicious and the prices are affordable – the empanadas are excellent but the vegan burger might be the best burger I’ve ever eaten.

We ordered 5 burgers ( 4 quatro normal burger and one smokey vegan) The burger is very tasty and I recommend it! The price is good also 8€

I ordered empanadas. The dough should have been thinner. It was impossible to eat them without a glass of water next to me. The filling was not flavorful. I am surprised with the reviews. The proper Argentinian empanadas are much better. I was a little disappointed.

I visited Mercado Uno today and had the pleasure of trying their delicious empanadas. The pastry was perfectly flaky and the fillings were incredibly flavorful. My personal favorite was the chicken empanada, but the beef and veggie options were also top-notch. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend checking out Mercado Uno for some fantastic empanadas! Transported me straight back to Argentina

The empanadas were delicious. The habanero sauce is Top. I'm a foodie and have been to any other popular "good" Argentinean empanadas place in Amsterdam, and 👍These are the best, so fresh. Plus the owners take care of their business and service is great, my toddler loved the food and the kindness. It's quite and nice, a gem 💎 in Amsterdam to enjoy lunch, try a 🧉 Mate also. HEERLIJK! 🔥🔥🔥 Van de Chorizo Empanada tot de Pulled Pork Sandwich en van de Quarter Pounder Classic tot de Homemade Alfajor. Alles wordt op het moment gebakken en mooi gepresenteerd. Aardige mensen ook nog eens.
