Great place to eat in quaint old woerden, nice covered terrace, great menu and drink selection, waitstaff were extremely helpful, highly recommended

The food took a long time to arrive. The food was delicious. The goat cheese was a bit dry.

Great spot. Went for a bite to eat and a drink with colleagues. Their own beer, their own lemonade, unpretentious. It's a real plus.

After a weekend in Woerden, I was tipped several times: “Go eat at Midas.” So I went, with high expectations. It started off great. A rolled carpaccio as a starter: refined, tasty, perfectly at the right temperature. My evening seemed to be culinary gold… until it went wrong. My main course? Forgotten. In the chaos of a busy restaurant, my order simply went wrong. No apologies, no update, no plate. And that is, however you look at it – unprofessional. A mistake like this should not happen, busy or not. But here comes the turnaround. As soon as the staff discovered the mistake, they immediately took action. My steak with vegetables was prepared very quickly and expertly. And it was: let's be honest – sublime: perfect medium, full of flavor, everything was right. As a gesture, I got a drink on the house. That's how you score. That's how it should be. The open kitchen is a nice plus: transparent, lively, and the team there works very hard. The atmosphere is energetic and professional, although it is clear that a better workflow would not be an unnecessary luxury. Final verdict: Midas has the potential to be top class. The kitchen is strong, the staff friendly, but it needs to be more organized. If they can get that right, this is a place you can blindly fall back on.

Delicious lunch! The standard sandwiches are of good quality. Midas distinguishes itself mainly with their own unique sandwiches. The service is friendly. It took a bit longer than usual, but still perfectly within proportions. You get a delicious sandwich where the price-quality is good! Definitely recommended for a tasty lunch.

Fantastic sandwiches! We had a special request regarding a birthday and they thought along well.

We were here two years ago. Now that we were back in Woerden, we considered looking for something else, but quickly decided to eat here again. It was very tasty again. When paying, we were pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable price.

Actually my favorite restaurant in Woerden for lunch. Delicious lunch dishes, everything freshly prepared. Great carpaccio sandwich, my favorite! Super nice service, service-oriented and above all very friendly! Definitely go there, they are also the winner of the tastiest sandwiches in the Netherlands. Toppers!

A nice place to eat. The family and I have been there both Monday and Wednesday and enjoyed both good burgers and a fantastic mushroom sauce. Next time we hope for a Danish or English menu ;)

Today we went here for dinner with the kids. A fun treasure hunt through the restaurant and the employees were happy to help find the wolves. Highly recommended! I would definitely recommend eating here! Excellent food and very (kids) friendly staff.

Delicious lunch. There is a large selection for lunch and the dishes are large. So something for everyone. The only thing I can leave out is the piece of paper under the hamburger. It gets so dirty when you cut and eat the hamburger.

We ordered food for takeaway in the evening. When we got home, the order was not completely complete. We have been in contact about this and they resolved this perfectly with a gift voucher and also for our daughter, she still received her kids box with an extra gift. Top service and thank you midas.

Nice terrace for lunch. Beef teriyaki sandwich 2.0 was once voted the tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands, but served cold it was a bit of a disappointment. Asian Chicken salad was very good.

Delicious sandwiches with a very large variety, highly recommended Point of criticism... set the opening hours properly (premises, Google, employees, website) to avoid disappointments like the other day.

We've been coming here for years. This time we sat upstairs for the first time, but it seemed as if they sometimes forgot to operate the upstairs, we are not used to waiting long, but we had to this time. Sandwiches tasted delicious!

Had a wonderful lunch today at Midas! The sandwiches were really a 10/10, the chai latte is also highly recommended! The service (blonde wonder) was really great ;)

Had a delicious lunch and came back for dinner after a long walk! Similar menu for lunch and dinner, but sufficient variety and very tasty, large portions and beautifully presented. The service was also very friendly and it was clean (tables, toilet, etc.) which is also nice!

I discovered this place when I was living in Woerden for a month early in 2024. It has always been a special place since my first visit. Everything from the food to the service is superb. I have tried a lot of different things from their menu and they have never disappointed. The crispy chicken burger is my favourite (The patty is super crispy with bacon cooked to perfection, even is the bun is very soft). The ingredients are high quality and portion size is generous. In house beer is also great. Must visit if you are in Woerden, have done couple of office parties here and always made great memories.

Had dinner here with a group. Excellent service, a 3-course menu was chosen in advance, guests could make their own choice per course. Service was smooth, attentive and very friendly. We opted for the silver menu and all dishes were very tasty and beautifully presented. After dessert everyone had eaten more than enough. Had a fantastic evening.

Attentive and friendly staff. The food is prepared fresh in the open kitchen. Everything tasted delicious and was served with a creative twist. With the loaded fries, the beef teryaki with sauce is served separately in a bowl, so that the super tasty fries remain crispy on a salad bed. The latte machiato is very good, strong and tasty. The portions are large. Worth repeating👍

Delicious food! But very slow service. I've been waiting for my lunch for 45 minutes now. If you can't handle the crowds, that's fine, but then you have to take on fewer customers. Fortunately, the food is of good quality and (almost) worth the wait.

We have been coming here for years, often for lunch but also for dinner. The badass burger is one of the favorites, and I can also definitely recommend the meal salads. The staff is always very friendly and likes a joke. The last time we received the special Oreo iced coffee to go without any problems for a tour through the city. Great service!

Enjoyed a delicious High Tea. Actually more of a Lunch Tea. Everything tasted delicious from the soup to the last round of appetizers. Service and presentation were more than excellent.

After living in Woerden for a while and attracted by the announcement about the tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands, I decided to have lunch at Midas. A lovely terrace shielded from the street with planters and excellent service where I of course ordered the sandwich in question. Not saying too much, this beef teriyaki sandwich is absolutely the tastiest thing I have ever eaten and it is also a substantial meal. All compliments to whoever invented and created it. I am very curious about other things on the menu and will definitely come back here.

Delicious sandwiches. Well invested for a normal reasonable price. Really large sandwiches that are filling. And if you don't want something on a sandwich, for example onions, they will simply adjust that. Service is very nice, neat and fast. Tasty rosé and a well-filled glass. You can sit inside, but also outside on the covered terrace, where you can only smoke at the back and not at the front. There is always room, but if you want to be sure you can make a reservation. You can also pay with the restaurant voucher.

We lived in Woerden from 1984 to 1992 (!!!) and then we were regular customers at, as it was then called, Broodje Midas. The owners, a very friendly couple, he with a large mustache behind the stove and she charming and customer-oriented in the service. So I'm talking about 32 to 40 years ago (!!!). Every so often we come back to Woerden and there is of course only one place to have lunch. Inside, the atmosphere remains cozy and warm, outside there is now a very large, very attractively decorated terrace. The quality of the food, as well as the service, have been of a very high level all these years. We now live 40 km away, but we said to each other this afternoon: we should actually go to Woerden just for Midas!! We will definitely come back again soon!!!

Acabé en este pueblo por accidente con mi familia cuando el Gps nos mandó por casualidad. Buscamos y nos topamos con este magnifico restaurante ,el local es muy bonito y acogedor. Nosotros fuimos para comer, pedimos hamburguesas y estaban deliciosas y bastante baratas. Lo recomiendo mucho para ir tanto solo, como con amigos o en mi caso en familia por su gran variedad de deliciosos platos. Muy recomendable. Unos de los platos que más nos gustaron fueron el “Beef Teriyaki” y la “Hamburguesa Trufada”

We arrived in this town by chance when the GPS accidentally brought us. My family and I were hungry and we stumbled upon this magnificent restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the burgers, specifically the “Beef Teriyaki” and the “Truffled Hamburger”. The food here is quite cheap, the 5 of us ate for a good price and we were full, but I recommend not ordering water since it cost us almost €6 for a bottle but the rest was cheap. Another highlight of this restaurant is the language of the menus since they are in Spanish and this made it a lot easier for us when ordering. In short, it is a perfect place to go alone or with friends and family. A 10/10 in quality-price. A delicious coincidence!

What a cozy terrace to eat. (I also saw the inside later) I ordered a chicken satay and thought it would just come on a stick, but to my surprise it was much more culinary. It immediately looked delicious, but more importantly, it was also delicious! I also had the fried vegetables. (Mix of eggplant, onions, peppers, mushrooms and something else I thought). Oh wonderful😋. Unfortunately I came here during my holiday, otherwise I would definitely come back. My husband had louded fries with chicken thigh. That looked special too and he loved it. Took our father out for dinner yesterday for Father's Day. The waitress came regularly to check whether we still had drinks and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the food took a long time to be ready, but it was worth the wait. At least then you know that your food is being prepared with care. We ordered an appetizer and it was easy to fill.

In the afternoon have lunch outside on the terrace. Black tables are for 2 people and the other tables are for 4 people. It was made clear to us when we wanted to sit in the sun. Enjoyed the lunch very much! Excellent sandwich and meat sandwich. Quality price/quality super! But will we come back here again?🤔
