I ate at this restaurant and here's my review. First, I thought the ambiance, decor, and terrace were really nice. The greenery with the plants adds to the charm of the place. Second, I thought my fried calamari was really good, but I would have liked a side dish, like fries included with the main course. I asked for extra potatoes, and it was definitely the right choice. Third, the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I wish they had told us about the daily specials. I think the specials were on a small card on the table, but you have to know where to look, because I didn't see them on the menu. In conclusion, I recommend this restaurant because it was really good.

We regularly come here all the way from Brabant specifically because of the quality of the food, which is appreciated not only by us but also particularly by our children (7+9).

Friendliness at the Mineral was very poor; they were very reluctant to give us a table for 3 just to have a drink, and then we had to wait half an hour to order. You will never see us there again.

Today, on Tuesday evening, we went to eat at Mineral. It was very busy, but everything was well organized. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and beautiful, and the service was quick, friendly, and welcoming. Despite the crowds, we had a lovely evening. Definitely recommended!

Tasty food but the staff was anything but friendly. We ordered cheese croquettes and received shrimp croquettes. After that, the bill wasn't cleared either; we had to ask for it first. We ordered a cola and it took at least 15 minutes. We asked about it and were told it was busy at the bar, but the table next to us had ordered later and received a coffee immediately.

Besides the fact that the weather was absolutely beautiful, my parents and I had a wonderful time sitting outside under the awning, with delicious food (scampi pasta with cream, homemade lasagna, and beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce) and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

We visited Mineral today as a group of four and had a fantastic experience. The Bolognese pasta was full of flavor, and the pizzas were fresh and delicious. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. They were attentive throughout our visit and made us feel truly welcome. To finish, we tried the desserts, and they were absolutely delicious. Everything was excellent from start to finish. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Mineral to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service!

Unfriendly staff, food cold, wasn't tasty, small portions… My friend still had spaghetti sauce clinging to her plate while she was eating carbonara… when we mentioned this, the answer we got was “it’s busy in the kitchen”… definitely not recommended!

Mariam Kay was our waitress, the service was great and we got a free ice cream for a birthday!!!

Pleasantly surprised. Prompt service and excellent food quality. A restaurant that surprises with its selection of freshly made products; the pastas and pizzas in particular, as well as the fish, were outstanding. Not to mention their homemade tiramisu, "the one and only." We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

We had expected more from our visit to Mineral in Sluis. Unfortunately, the service was very distant. The woman who served us was very brief and dry in her communication, making it difficult to connect with her. Despite it being very quiet, no one came over spontaneously to ask if we wanted another drink or a dessert menu. We had to constantly try to get their attention ourselves and then wait for quite a while. The food was mediocre. The spaghetti with eggplant was without a doubt the blandest pasta I have ever eaten. The pasta was overcooked and the tomato sauce tasted as if no spices had been used at all. The black pizza was okay, but far from special. Fortunately, the desserts made up for a lot. The tiramisu was delicious and the dame blanche was also highly recommended, with real chocolate sauce. All in all, it was certainly not a disaster, but also not convincing enough to warrant a return visit. A waste of money.

We ate delicious pizzas. All the dishes that passed by on the terrace looked tasty. The restaurant inside (too warm to sit there now) looked very nice.

Very good restaurant with prompt service and excellent food. Great value for money. Highly recommended! The only minor downside is that you sit close together on the terrace, but it makes sense that they use the space as efficiently as possible.

The last evening of our 3 week holiday in The Netherlands before returning to Scotland was somewhat spoiled by our experience at Mineral Sluis. Put bluntly, the service was simply appalling. It didn't start well as we waited and waited simply to get a menu. I had to approach the waitress and request one, and at that point it was obvious she was the only non-English speaking person we'd met thus far. But that fact was in no way an excuse for her behaviour, which amounted to smirking at our attempts with Google translate - surely asking for a Radler should not be that difficult a hurdle to overcome? Things were made worse by her simply ignoring us as best she could and to make us wait as long as possible whenever possible. Watching her with other customers, her inattentive service and aloof and standoffish (rude) behavior wasn't just restricted to us. In summary, from beginning to end, our final holiday meal was one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. As for the food and drink, it was passable but over priced for what it was, and my Malbec was poor. In summary, a place that survives, not because it is good, but because it is in a tourist hotspot and can get away with such a bad offering.

The food and the interior looked very nice, and the pizzas were really tasty too. Unfortunately, that positive impression was overshadowed for us by the service. What I also see frequently in other reviews afterwards is that the hospitality of the staff leaves much to be desired. During our visit, there was an older gentleman present, presumably the owner, who focused almost all his attention on one table with apparently familiar or interesting guests. As a result, other tables had to wait a long time for help or attention. Additionally, we were served by a female employee who came across as unfriendly. A smile or a warm approach was lacking. This was particularly noticeable when an elderly couple came in to warm up. Instead of a welcoming reception, they were told that they could sit down for “just a moment,” but had to leave quickly because it would soon get busy. Those kinds of moments largely determine the experience of a restaurant. My advice would therefore be to address the recurring comments in the reviews regarding the hospitality. Positive point: the pizzas were very tasty. It is a pity that the service did not reach the same level.

Normally very tasty on previous visits, but when it's busy, it's complete chaos! It started upon arrival; we had a reservation but it was full, so we just had to wait. Then we had to wait 1.50 hours for food that was clearly prepared in a rush. The potatoes were hard on the inside. The spaghetti was thrown wet into the sauce, turning the pasta into a watery soup, and the steak was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. You ask for rare but get a burnt bleu. This was not okay for the price you pay! Time to test the neighboring restaurants/competition next time!

Lovely romantic restaurant. The food is super tasty. The service is very friendly. The first time I had a risotto, the second evening I went to eat here with a girlfriend and chose pizza; both were delicious.

Maybe other dishes are fine, but the vitello tonnato was just with mayonnaise and the fresh pizza was no better than a frozen pizza. A shame.

Just had a quick drink to cool off on the terrace. Very friendly staff. Both the gentleman inside and the young man outside. Neat and clean and a delicious selection of drinks, especially the ginger/tarragon lemonade.

We had a delicious meal; we chose the weekly special (3-course menu). You had to make your choice for every course. The flavors were truly top-notch. However, we had to wait a very long time for absolutely everything. A long wait to order, a long wait for drinks, the first course...etc... One of the waiters didn't speak Dutch very well, which caused problems for the neighboring table. The kitchen rectified this without any issues, but they also had to wait for the next dish. Consequently, her party was almost finished eating... There is no gluten-free bread for those who are intolerant... There were only two waiters, which was far too few. However...at a certain point, it had become very quiet and priority was given to tidying up all the empty tables...we, however, were left sitting with the dirty plates for at least (!) half an hour. Despite all this, we really enjoyed our meal.

We chose this restaurant somewhat randomly during our stay in Sluis. We were very glad we did. The pasta was exquisite and the dessert incredibly decadent. The atmosphere on the terrace with background music was pleasant, and the waiter was friendly. We will definitely be back.

Great Italian restaurant. Delicious food and nice ambiance.

We ordered a limoncello spritz and got a limoncello with ice. The price was the same as an Appérol spritz, though. If you don't know anything about it, just say we don't have this.

Fantastic restaurant. We've been several times, and each time it's been excellent. The service is quick and friendly. The pizzas are particularly good. I highly recommend it and we'll definitely be back on our next vacation! It's become a must-visit!

How unfriendly can service be? If you want to find out, definitely go eat here! There aren't many comments regarding the food. I asked for salt and pepper during the meal. While we were still eating, these were taken away. The salt and pepper were used to season my pasta. During the meal, I wanted salt and pepper on my bread. But that wasn't possible because they had been taken away and I didn't get any more. When I mentioned that the bread felt hard, the lady who served us couldn't think of anything better than to feel our bread at the table and then report that it had just come out of the bread bag. This may certainly be the case, but nevertheless, the bread was hard/stale. We were not offered new bread. When we wanted to pay, the lady came with the bill, placed the payment terminal on our table with the amount entered, and walked away. When she returned, she took the plates away without asking if everything was in order or anything like that. Having worked in the hospitality industry myself for 13 years, I can certainly give the lady some good advice. If you do your job with so much reluctance, go do something else in your life. A hello and a thank you are still free in this world, and if you cannot manage that in service, this is certainly not the job for you! Kind regards

Great place to eat! The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is lovely with a nice outdoor terrace. The staff are very friendly, I highly recommend it!

There was no service outside, even though the terrace was open. At least 10 people left without any staff taking their orders, just after we'd struggled to get our coffee. We didn't say anything; the staff didn't seem to want to see us.

Five of us, including a six-year-old child, sat at a table for half an hour. We repeatedly called for their attention to take our order, but to no avail. The table next to us also sat down and was helped after five minutes. Ultimately, they just left, which is a real shame!

Super friendly, we chose the menu. The shrimp croquette was just right, with fresh gray shrimp. The stuffed eggplant was also very tasty. The Milanese could have been a bit better, but the schnitzel was okay. Delicious desserts. Restrooms were clean and tidy.

A lovely discovery with my friend Tarek, who welcomes you with a smile. I enjoyed delicious smoked salmon biscuits in a great atmosphere. Nice background music—French chansons—perfectly matched the relaxed setting. The service was quick and friendly, nothing to complain about. The only thing I could improve on was adding some ice and lime to the glass!!! (Something to be noted at the bar, though.) Mineral in Sluis is highly recommended! I'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful evening. The food and service were excellent.

The owner (male) was extremely rude and brought us the menus without even saying hello. He couldn't get through fast enough. The food was okay, but very basic for the price. He was rude to his staff (short fuse?), and made inappropriate comments to them where everyone could hear. When we paid, we couldn't get out fast enough for him.

Not recommended, as the service staff aren't particularly friendly and the atmosphere isn't very respectful of us deaf people. Plus, the taxi fare is expensive, €10 per person for "not a person." If you have a disability, I wouldn't recommend eating there. I've never experienced it myself.

Beautiful, trendy interior. The food was good, but there's definitely room for improvement. The staff did their best, but lacked experience. (Clearing a table while someone else is still eating is simply not done.) An average establishment that actually has potential for more, in my opinion.

Whenever we visit Sluis, we have one place for lunch, and that's the Mineral, and it's been for many years... Always delicious and plenty on the plate. But today there were some drawbacks! Three scampi in my fish soup! Scampi don't belong in fish soup! More fish than scampi! The Ossobuco, the Escalope, and the Dame Blanche were, as always, super delicious: You get a 10/10. The Tiramisu wasn't what I'm used to; there was no bite in the ladyfingers. It probably sat in the refrigerator for a few days. Whipped cream from a can!

the waiter didn't really feel like it very pushy (when we were looking at the menu and when we knew he didn't look at us anymore) and not friendly. it seemed like the manager because he was relatively older than the rest. The younger staff was very friendly. the food was fine may also be for those prices. it is a fine place inside nicer than outside but because of the waiter no nice atmosphere.

Booked for lunch online. They couldn't find our table. We took one outside. Ordered 4 dishes including 2x the Cesar salad with chicken strips and a Cesar with scampi came. Mistake they said. I waited 10 min. The plate came back and saw the scampi at the bottom on top of the chicken strips. They had taken the scampi out and put chicken strips on top. What terrible service! No apologies from the waiter. Nothing. This is the 2nd time this has happened. We will never come back!!!

The young man who helped us did not understand hospitality and catering. Soon 1 glass of wine fell through the rickety table. He came with a cloth, but not with a new glass of wine. After 10 minutes we went to get it ourselves. Amazing that this glass was on the bill. His reaction: I am not the one who knocked it over, you did it yourself... well, then you really did not understand!!!! Purchase only € 1.00 and it fell over because of the rickety table. The quality of the food was more than fine, but very small portions as a main course. Totally NOT RECOMMENDED, reason is the disinterested young man who served the terrace today (17-6-2025). Someone who can work better behind the scenes. Too bad for this business!

Very unpleasant staff, already at reception. We were looked outside to make room for a group of 8 people who arrived when we just asked for the bill. This is extremely unprofessional. When leaving, 3 people immediately jumped on the table to clean everything up and had been waiting behind us for 5 minutes so that we would definitely leave. This is not okay at all!

Helemaal geweldig. Bediening door Tarek was top, alsof je er al jaren komt als vaste gast. Ondanks dat het best druk was en hij in zijn eentje stond had hij alles in de gaten. Het eten was echt enorm lekker en goed betaalbaar. We komen zeker een keer terug ( al moet ik er voor omrijden), alleen de volgende keer Aglio é Olio serveren 😉. Dit restaurant is een toppertje! We kregen lekkere en grote porties, voor een goede prijs. We werden bediend door Tareq. De bediening was enorm vriendelijk en het interieur was uitnodigend en warm. Zeker een aanrader !
