Miss Tajine, wereldse stoofgerechten in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

Delicious food again! Balanced and layered flavors, spicy-spicy-fresh: very tasty. Christa is an ideal private chef/cook at home.

Delicious food & lovely business owner!

Miss Tajine literally only has 1 table in her small restaurant. But you can reserve it from 4 people (max 6p)! And then you have the restaurant to yourself. There is also takeaway and catering. The dishes vary with the seasons and sometimes with something like Ramadan. She has fish, meat and vegetarian and everything is halal.

Very tasty meal with the whole family. Children were also really enthusiastic and had a great time! Our youngest loved the zucchini and definitely wants to come back again.

One of the best restaurants that I’ve been to in a long time. The food was delicious, homey, and was served in beautiful tajines. We ordered Lamb with Artichoke and an Okra dish, both of which were lovely together. We also had a drink called Kumasi which was very tasty. The friendliness and atmosphere made me feel totally at ease and the owner was very kind. We were lucky that we got there early enough to have a place to sit since the place is quite small. Will definitely be going again!

We had a bad experience at this place. The guy who works there was not able to provide basic information about the dishes (e.g., if and how spicy they are). We took lamb stew to go, which comes with rice/couscous and small vegetables. The guy was so busy with packaging that he forgot to pack our small vagetables so we didn’t get it. The lamb was too salty and the pumpkin stew was spicy which we didn’t expect. The place itself looks cute but it’s absolutely not fulfilling the expectations. The prices are too high for what you get (lamb is 22e).

Fantastisch gegeten. 2x pastilla besteld. 1x kip en 1x vega. Voor 8 personen afgehaald. Wat een smaken. Christa heeft een kleurrijke plek in de stad. We hadden dit voor kerst besteld en afgehaald en meegenomen naar Zeeland. Keurige beschrijving erbij en heel makkelijk te bereiden. Wij zijn fan!!!

Zeer klein huiselijk restaurantje met heerlijk eten. Het is de surinaamse keuken en van de meeste gerechten had ik nog nooit gehoord. De gastvrouw is zeer behulpzaam met het samenstellen van het eten. Je proeft echt dat het eten met aandacht is gemaakt. De prijzen zijn laag voor hedendaagse begrippen. NB! Er is een tafel van 6 en een tafel van 3. Bij de tafel van 6 kan het zijn dat je naast andere duo's zit zoals in je eigen woonkamer

Zeer vriendelijk eigenares, ik kan niet goed tegen pikant en mijn bami met rijst was iets té, maar er werd mij meteen een glas melk gebracht om af te koelen OOK TAKEAWAY

Uhm...wow! Most delicious vegetables I've had in a very long time. Everything including the beans and starch options are cooked perfectly and packed with flavour. I can see why it has a 4.9 rating.

A very nice little store with amazing food!!! We tried the Jamaican Oxtail stew, thr tajine, and carne guisada. All tasted amazing. The staff is also very nice.

Miss Tajine heeft de hoge verwachtingen helemaal waar gemaakt. Ter voorbereiding op onze Zuid Afrika reis eind dit jaar hebben wij Miss Tajine gevraagd een bootie voor zes personen te maken incl. soep vooraf en een nagerecht. Het was overheerlijk. Gelukkig hebben wij nog over dus dat wordt smullen geblazen de komende week. In mei zien wij elkaar weer wanneer in de planning staat een wijnproeverij met Zuid Afrikaanse wijnen samen met een proeverij van gerechten uit de keuken van Miss Tajine voor circa 40 personen. Wij kijken er nu al naar uit.

Holy moly, if I could give it 6 stars, I would. I was first blown away by the vegan meal with the fufu. I never thought I'd be able to eat a whole meal without any sort of meat or at least meat substitute and go away feeling super satisfied without thinking about some meat later. Then I tried the lamb with couscous and it's amazing, no words, simply amazing. The owner is the sweetest lady ever and her restaurant is kept clean and tidy. She's super attentive and is happy to tend to any needs that could be required. 10/10

Lovely homey place with lots of veggie friendly dishes! Far from the crowds and incredibly delicious home cooked food with so many flavours. Family owned business with a great atmosphere. Been here a few times and it never disappoints, one of my favourites in Utrecht.

Lekkere stoof, verse ingrediënten, goed verzorgd met sausjes en salade. Alleen was het kennelijk te veel moeite de garnalen even te pellen. En in plaats van het beloofde cornbread werd Turks brood meegeleverd. Kan allemaal een stukje klantgerichter, dit was onderaan de streep het geld niet waard.

Tasty food, the kip pastilla was delicious. It's a cozy place, it's mainly pick up and deliveries, but they also have a shared table to dine-in. I just missed in their menu offering of hot beverages, specially in winter.

Geweldig diner besteld voor 15 personen. Gezelschap heeft gesmuld van lamsvlees met pruimen, pittige köfte, gestoofde artisjokken / doperwten en een assortiment salades. Echt aanrader

We had not the best experience in this place. First of all half of the menu was not available. My friend and I had to switch the dishes because he couldn't eat his salad, I wasn't able to finish it either. The rest of the food was fat and oily, some tasted weird. The place is small and people got stuck in the toilet. We payed for the food but went away disappointed and still hungry :(

Well, one of the nicest night ever as you can see from the picture!! A charming, tiny and really welcoming place in the center of Utrecht. We came to this restaurant by chance, and we ended up having an unexpected great dinner! We ate rice with three different sauces, one with pumpkin, one with artichokes and the last one with the “forgotten vegetables”. Everything delicious and vegan! Thank you for the food and the hospitality! I fully recommend this place if for you the food is not just taste, but a whole experience! ps. Allow yourself to talk to the chef to discover all the histories behind the dishes!

I came for a tajine dish, but this week there was a different menu waiting: several mezze options such as couscous salad, eggplant salad, spicy potatoes with herbs and meatballs. Everything was extremely delicious and the service guy was very polite and explained the food policy in a friendly conversational manner. Two thumbs up. 👍👍
