Chicken fillet roti really super tasty!! Definitely not spicy. Quick to prepare. And the staff is friendly. You can only get takeout there, so don't go there for the atmosphere 😉

We visited Utrecht and this place is truly THE culinary hidden gem! Affordable and incredibly delicious, yet very unique. Recommended by an AI chatbot, but otherwise quite unassuming. A stroll here is 100% worth it! The owner told us about himself and his family during our conversation and gave us a large portion of chili sauce for free at the end, which we found so special (made with yellow lantern chilies from Latin America) :)

For me, this is absolutely the best Surinamese takeaway restaurant in Utrecht. I come here regularly for bara, sandwiches, saoto, nasi, or roti, and I have never been disappointed. The dishes are always flavorful and freshly prepared. And above all: the owner is super friendly and always cheerful!

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, you feel welcome, and if you come here often, you don't even have to say what you want anymore. As soon as you are inside, you hear your name or nickname ringing out through the takeaway window. A super recognizable smile that greets you warmly. Highly recommended.

On the Google Maps they said it’s open. However when we showed up it was closed.. even though someone saw us standing outside. Either you update your opening hours or be professional and open the door to inform us it’s closed.

Best Suri in Utrecht! I've been coming here for years and it's still delicious. Javanese noodles with satay is our favorite. Mano is always friendly.

I am always served in a friendly manner there and the food is delicious, contrary to some other reviews. I live a long distance away, but as soon as I am in Utrecht I always take something home, and it is still warm after a 25-minute drive. Large portions for reasonable prices [in this day and age]!

Just got roti at Tresno in Utrecht and what a discovery 🤩 We had chicken roti (with bone) and beef roti, and both were incredibly delicious. The roti flatbreads are top-notch, the portions are huge (I seriously couldn't even finish it), and the sambal is truly fantastic, exactly the right kick. Additionally, the people are super friendly and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. It's really one of those places you might not see right away, but is absolutely a hidden gem in Utrecht. Highly recommended to visit!

I was here for the first time, and also the last time. This Surinamese place gave me an unpleasant impression from the moment I walked in. Everything looked messy, and I had a strong feeling that there was little attention to hygiene. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting out for far too long, and the odor was far from fresh. The staff didn't seem particularly concerned with cleanliness, which makes it difficult to have any confidence in them.

Closes at 7:30 PM. If you arrive at 6:55 PM, it's closed.

We've been coming here for years. They have excellent roti and noodles. Delicious bakabana and saoto soup. We finally had bara here after a long time. Incredibly delicious.

I've ordered several times and find it very disappointing that you always get a small sauté with a lot of bean sprouts and very little chicken. Also, when you order, it takes forever to get your food, and they're not always customer-friendly.

After living around the corner for two and a half years, I decided to get Bara chicken ketjap for lunch today. The service was quick and friendly. The sandwich is tasty, has a nice bite, and the chicken is tender. It also has pickled cucumber, which adds a special touch. It's a generous sandwich that's very filling for 6 euros.

My boyfriend ordered roti for us, I chicken fillet and he chicken on bone, it already looked different than usual. Egg also looked rotten. We didn't eat the whole meal. We didn't feel well. Then I pooped black and blood, ended up in the emergency room twice, eventually I turned out to have contracted "Campylo Bacter" bacteria from the chicken or egg. I call them and now they are suddenly "temporarily closed".

He first makes us wait outside and then after 10 minutes he tells us that it closes at 6:30 on a Saturday

If you want real Surinamese food, get it here, lots of it and delicious

Standard Surinamese tent where I go. Their chicken and beef is halal and super tasty and you get large portions. Switie mang! Come often and will always keep coming!

A Surinamese lady recommended this place. She said their saoto soup is the best in Utrecht. I gave it a try, and it was truly delicious!

saoto was great! Not the best ever, but a good 8 by Utrecht standards. Bakkeljauw was delicious and satay was excellent. Nice people. The phone is not always answered, so ordering is difficult.

Such friendly people and that in combination with the delicious Javanese Surinamese food... reason to go back. Simple Warung as you know it. No fuss with the furnishings, but you are usually used to that from the average Warun. Better to eat good food than have a nice interior and less good food. The saoto and bakabana were switi! Hope they stick around for a long time!

Dit noem ik echt echt surinaams. Hehe zo vaak surinaams gegeten maar dit is een juweleetje. Smaak is echt lekker en authentiek. Wel jammer dat ik 2 dagen achter elkaar voor een gesloten deur sta. Terwijl die open is tot 19:30. Mensen willen gaan avondeten en dan sluit je je zaak? Niet de meest slimme keuze.

Lekker een keertje per week deze Surinaamse/javaanse take- away,. Vriendelijk, hij onthoudt wat je eet en ook heerlijk voor vegetariers!!

Een pareltje op de Oudenoord. Geheel onverwacht tussen woonhuizen, is daar een Surinaams/Javaans afhaal restaurant. Heerlijk eten, voor een betaalbare prijs en met zorg bereid. Met oog voor de klant, ze hebben veel vaste klanten, is mijn ervaring als ik er ben. Nasi/Bami Rammes is een aanrader. Veel Caribische klanten, geeft al aan dat dit goed moest zijn en dat is het.

Heerlijk plekje, geen poespas en top eten! Moeder begonnen en staat al sinds 2000 in de keuken.

Sorry to tell. The order was not complete.. so the part that was.. had to wait. Result in 75% of the food when I came home was cold. This is not complex to prevent.. put it back to the kitchen.. in an.oven at 100c or use profesional IR heating. Food really ok. But cold

Hier koop je de 'lekkerste Roti' van Utecht. En heerlijke broodjes zoutvlees.

We wonen niet meer om de hoek. We zijn verhuisd naar Vleuten. Maar als we maar enigszins in de buurt zijn, kunnen we het niet laten om daar wat te halen. En als dat moment te lang op zich laat wachten, rijden we er speciaal naar toe.

Lekker hoor. Gisteravond op bezoek bij familie/vrienden in Utrecht Noord. Op aanraden van de familie/vrienden naar Warung Tresno voor 2 Moksie Metie en 1 Nasi met Kipsaté met petjelsaus. In een woord: voortreffelijk. En bovendien zeer betaalbaar. Daarom 5 sterren en een dikke pluim.😋😋

In verband met verjaardag, 25 porties eten besteld. Werd geleverd in grote bakken, met de kip, saté en alle toespijs apart. Uitstekend verzorgd en heel erg lekker! We gaan dit zéker vaker doen!
