Today at Mokafe, we received a warm welcome from Mo and his crew. The three of us had a delicious lunch, and even my dog ​​was treated to a bowl of food and water! What a lovely and atmospheric atmosphere.

The food is all ready-made products, nothing is homemade. Too expensive for TK products and it is just like being at school, I do not understand the good review at all.

I absolutely don't understand the good reviews. 80% of what was ordered here was pre-made, ready-made food; the pancakes were simply delivered frozen right in front of us. I mean, surely you can manage to make pancakes yourself. That alone shows you the quality of this place. The food sat on the counter for 5-10 minutes. Nobody knew which table it belonged to, and there were really only three tables occupied. High prices, but poor quality. Pre-made focaccia sandwiches cost €13-17 for cheap quality.

Super delicious focaccia and cozy atmosphere

Super cozy lunchroom, friendly owner, tasty coffee, delicious sandwiches and soup, great atmosphere, and everything is neat and tidy. The ladies' restroom even had feminine hygiene products and mouthwash! Highly recommended for lunch or a coffee.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to MOKAFE ☕ Such kind and caring staff, plus the food was amazing 😋 We had the burrata and omelette focaccia - delicious!! Already looking forward to coming back next time in NL! Dankjewel :)

Such a lovely coffee shop tucked away in a residential area of Amsterdam. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming the moment we walked in. The staff had great energy—friendly, humble, and genuinely helpful with menu suggestions. Everything was spotless, and the food was fantastic. We ordered a yogurt bowl, banana pancakes, fresh orange juice (truly fresh!), and a latte. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Generous portions! Great ambiance, great people, great food. I’d happily come back again!

The Haloumi focaccia is completely unique and great, though fairly large. I’d recommend sharing, or come when hungry.

Absolutely fantastic coffee shop! I had the grilled cheese with chicken along with a coconut milk cappuccino. Both items came quickly and the quality was excellent. Will definitely be coming next time I’m in Amsterdam!

Great focaccia and amazing service!

Our first visit was great but in the last visit we received moldy bread with the soup. The matcha latte had no taste and was highly diluted. Will not be coming back.

While looking for a delicious breakfast, we stumbled upon this café. Cute and small, with a relaxed atmosphere, it was an absolute stroke of luck. The coffee was delicious, and the food was super tasty and plentiful. I'll definitely be back if I get the chance.

Today I had lunch at Mokafé with a few friends, and what a wonderful experience it was! From the moment we walked in, it felt warm and homey—cozy, yet with a lovely, vibrant energy. Pleasant music played in the background. Everything was just perfect: the atmosphere, the food, the service. In short, Mokafé is the kind of place where you leave with a smile and immediately think about when you can come back. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful and cozy Sunday I had with friends at Mokafe! We had a delicious lunch, drank great coffee, and were treated to all sorts of sweet treats! And then I even had time and space to craft—what more could you ask for? ♥️

What a great place! We had a fantastic meal at Mokafe – everything tasted amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. The service was a real 10, super friendly and relaxed. A bonus: we were allowed to use the table to create our mood boards 😍 So cool that we could! Definitely a place we'll be back! Highly recommended.

The focaccia sandwich was really good, served in generous portions. The flat white was also very good, with a little homemade orange juice! My friend had the matcha latte (almond milk) with the pancakes. Everything was very good!! As a little extra: deodorant, gels, and mouthwash were provided in the restrooms, just for a little refreshment. And sanitary napkins for the girls too!

Great service, delicious breakfast and sandwiches, and the dog is also well taken care of! Highly recommended.

Amazing Brunch spot. Feels very homey and the food is incredible. We ordered grilled cheese sandwich and Mo’s omelette and honestly we are very happy with them.

Good food, good portion, superb service

The food was so good I didnt get to take picture before diving right in and finished it off. We had Cortado, Espresso and two Mo's Omelette - very tasty and large portion. The owner is very thoughtful too

I loved the halloumi focaccia sandwich way more than pesto burrata. The focaccia is amazing - warm and soft, as it should be.

I had really good coffee and really good conversation with the owner. Also they have Gluten Free options :))

A truly fine shop, very cutely decorated, clean, with good prices and very, very tasty sandwiches. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Far away from all the hype spots in the city center, it's truly a gem in a quiet residential area.

Because of its high Google score, we chose this cafe for breakfast. It has a great atmosphere and the owner is very welcoming. The Heirloom focaccias were delicious, with a juicy filling, and we added salmon to it, which made it even better! Both coffees were decent and tasty, and the accompanying cookies were super tasty! Crybaby at Mokafe (hahahaha)

Great place for excellent coffee- & tea-specialities. Also a good place to hang out and spend some time with nice people or get some of your work done. The owner and staff are very friendly & communicative and have valuable advice for new comers in Amsterdam! I have spent several mornings here and will keep this place on my mind, if I look for a nice atmosphere and good coffee ;-)

Lovely cafe ♥️ I had the (Moroccan) soup of the day with focaccia and it was sooo tasty ! The staff is also very attentive and sweet ! Lastly, the loudness of the music mixes well with the people speaking inside, so it creates a good environment to study/work as well.

I visited today with my family. It was busy, so the food took a little while to arrive. What stood out was how thoughtful the service was—apologetic, kind, and they even offered us a pastry on the house to acknowledge the wait. That kind of gesture is rare in Amsterdam and made a big difference. The focaccia was absolutely incredible! I would definitely come back again.

Love this little neighborhood cafe! For me as an expat, it's particularly nice because everyone speaks English. It seems there are a lot of expat customers as well. The food is lovely...we particularly like the grilled cheese with smoked chicken. The coffee and lemonade are also quite good. Tables outdoors make it a great place to go on these nice days. Highly recommend!

Wifey and I went for an early Sunday walk and stumbled upon this place. It will not impress you from the outside or even inside decor, but this place has a heart. We ordered a regular faire of coffee, cappuccino and focaccia sandwich (as good as the other reviewers say) which were great. What impressed us was the perception of the role this place has in that community. Mothers pushing strollers came by to get their morning fix, dads with baby cangaroos ordering their black-eye so they could carry on with their babysitting duties. These quotidiane scenes were little wonders we could see there. So yes, go for your coffee and breakie but also admire the power this place has to keep everyone around it just going.

Stopped by unexpectedly whilst in the neighbourhood. Had a super pleasant experience with Mo and the rest of the staff. Service was wonderful and the coffee was great. Many thanks and see you again soon!

My husband and I loved this place! Visiting from the US and had to check it out from the great reviews, and we are so glad we did! The pancakes were delicious and the fruit was very fresh. My husband got the chicken pesto focaccia sandwich and absolutely loved it!
