Molly Malone's Irish Pub in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

The first time I visited it with me were hesitant!! We were wrong, this place offers good beer, very nice food (appetizers) and good staff!!

Irish barman took any excuse to avoid engaging and serving us ( being English) in an almost empty bar. Gave up in the end. Very unfriendly vibe. Avoid!( unless you’re a leprechaun)

Thoroughly enjoy this pub every time we go to Amsterdam for a weekend away. Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy live Irish music and sports on the big screens while drinking a pint.

The staff is very friendly and helpful to tourists. Wide selection of beer and spirits. The only downside is they only have a small bites menu, apparently since 2020… however, the food was very good.

I would never get bored of this place! What an ambience it had! They had multiple artists killing it! The vibe was amazing. It's a must-visit pub! Would love if they provide some combo offers on the beverages, so that it's amazing on our pockets as well.

The staff in here are always very hospitable, great selection of drinks and bar snacks but their spare ribs are to die for and just €11, easily accessible from centraal station. Also has the best guiness in town!

The service is not very nice around closing time. We hung around for a while because one of us had to go to the bathroom, and then they scolded us and told us to leave. The bar was also quite empty during the evening, but as the only person waiting at the bar you still had to wait 5 to 10 minutes before being helped. I don't understand how this bar can score so high with others, or I must have just had an accident with the service.

man man man what a place DO NOT come here as an AMSTERDAMMER! A matter of a hefty tourist trap. It seems nice, especially the live music was very nice (one star for that). But the service is nothing to write home about. Really very slow, this is not a matter of being busy, but just incapability, it seems to me. In addition, the beers are very poorly tapped, which is a shame. Also the staff is very rude! They do not reflect the warmth of beautiful Amsterdam at all! It seems to me that they themselves are drunk behind the bar, otherwise you wouldn't behave like that. Really, if you are not a tourist who wants to take a tourist trap, just go to a cozy brown café or another Irish pub! Much more value for your money!

Great pint of Guinness, atmosphere is fantastic especially for a Celtic game. Spare Ribs were sublime and the bitterballen is a must try!

Quintessential Irish Public House dropped into picturesque Amsterdam. Located off the bustling street, with a canal view and seating area. Serious pint of Guinness. Top shelf has a great selection of Irish and Scotch.

They don't feel like serving tourists, they don't feel like working 💁🏻‍♀️

Perhaps one of the most enjoyable places in Amsterdam. The street it is located on is very beautiful and this adds a perfect atmosphere. It's beautiful inside. It was quiet in the morning and quite crowded in the evening. I enjoyed it very much. I recommend.

This is a real Irish bar, you can watch your sports accompanied by pleasant music, I had Formula 1 on the big screen, that's why I came here, it's a bar where you can have a pleasant time with your friends, sing along to the songs and have fun.

Part of my solo Amsterdam visit courtesy of a very cheap DFDS ferry deal from North Shields to IJmuiden. Popped into Molly Malone’s to escape the torrential rain, it wasn’t busy at all. I did clock a pool table but there was nobody up for a game or a conversation for that matter. I had myself a couple of pints of Guinness as I dried off, the bar itself a pretty standard Irish pub abroad, it’s probably a great venue when busy but on a cold wet day with nobody about, it just felt sad.

My first Guinness here. It tasted smooth, and the Kilkenny was almost as good. The staff seems chill, and Irish. Would visit again.

Cannot rave about this place enough ! 11 euro delicious ribs, great fried foods, great atmosphere , great beer ! we came here 3 times in our 5 day stay and would have come more. Service was fast and the staff is incredibly friendly- Dominic is top notch !

I always visit Molly when I am in Amsterdam. Good beer and snacks, live music is always fantastic.

I loved it. The typical Irish pub that you find near the red light district of Amsterdam. The atmosphere is the best. But you really walk in and it feels like you're in Dublin. I haven't found anything like it in the entire city.

Just had drinks outside at the canal. We enjoyed it and weather was just perfect beer even better. Only my husband and myself away for 5 nights and we came her twice during our visit, not too busy.

Best pub in the wider region. Large choice of whiskeys and staff is always friendly! Because it is close to the central station, many tourists also come. That makes the atmosphere particularly fun and you always hear new stories

It looked like they have an actual food menu, but they don’t. The people were nice and the place had a good vibe, but only bar snacks which were good, but we came here thinking they had some Irish fare like it advertised.

Excellent Guinness for outside of Ireland and great pub food. Terrace right on the canal opposite the St Nicholas basilica and the art deco Cafe Batavia. Very pleasant Irish staff. Has a quite magnificent collection of whiskys from Scotland and Ireland. Occasionally if you're lucky, fantastic live music sessions.

DO NOT EAT CAKE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES I made the diabolical mistake of eating a slice of cake outside sat on the benches. My partner had gone inside to get a couple of drinks (worst pour of Guinness ever), and I was beginning to tuck into a slice of cake I had bought from a lovely bakery nearby which I sadly can’t remember the name of. I moved to sit under the covered benches because it started to rain and put myself into the eye of Sauron’s line of fire. The big rude bartender proceeded to lecture me in an intimidating manner about eating said cake here, saying that he would let me off because his boss (😱) wasn’t around, and continued to lecture me even after I informed him my partner was buying drinks inside - I wasn’t a intending to eat there without buying anything because that, of course, would be rude. My partner comes out with drinks, bartender continues ranting and says to him that it’s just “common sense” not to eat on other premises which, yeah, I get but that cake was getting inhaled in two minutes. In all seriousness, it’s a bit much to come outside and start raising your voice at a young woman sat on her own who’s just trying to enjoy her sweet treat and raise her very low blood sugar. I felt very much spoken down to as if I was a child, and honestly left feeling incredibly demeaned After reading other reviews on here that seem to pertain the same bartender, I am very surprised he is still employed. Guys and gals, if you’re trying to have a pleasant time in Amsterdam do not visit this pub and DO NOT eat cake on it’s premises.

Must have been a change of ownership last few months. Big lad with glasses from Northern Ireland is basically violent at the drop of a hat, but can barely walk straight cause he's drunk there all the time he's in the place. Good Times are over

Be careful about asking for Lost property, big chap with glasses will come out and threaten you and push you around for no reason at all. I was drinking there maybe two years now but I guess that's how he treats patrons. Everything is great expect for this aggressive guy
