Always a pleasure, always visiting when in Amsterdam. Very polite staff, awesome atmosphere. Very good food, no matter which daytime. And the beers are a joy too! Keep it up guy's, you're doing everything right 👍🏼

i sat there for almost three hours because the place was so warm and cosy. the food was very delicious and the staff were very friendly 💙

The 'Irish Breakfast' reads disappointing & pathetic from the menu & its actually worse in reality. Floor staff prompt & polite except for the manager giving off I'M THE MANAGER vibes. Bit sad. Overall like most of Amsterdam, don't set your hopes too high & you won't be disappointed.

Awful! Just paid 50 euros for a Gin, Vodka and an overcooked sharing platter that was not even worth 10 euros. Need to do much much better!!!

Hello, five of us went to this location on a Friday evening. 5x Smirnoff Ice (€7 each) and 7 shots of tequila (€8 each) cost almost €100. That's a little too expensive for my taste. Otherwise the bar was okay, nice atmosphere, but the prices were too expensive.

Good Irish pub to watch the world go by. Foods pretty decent here love the stew. Big outside heated seating area facing the square. Need better lager selection.

Great location, but the rest was disappointing. We asked for a serving of humus with Turkish bread, expecting we’d get flatbread, but got served slices of a baguette which we were told came from a Turkish bakery. (?) The Irish coffee was watery, with very little whisky and topped with a lot of very sweet cream. The whisky and the coffee were not separated in the glass - very disappointing for a place which calls itself an Irish pub. We won’t go back.

This place is just amazing. Christmas decorations are fabulous. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Definitely go here if you are in Amsterdam

Our order got lost, but they noticed a bit later and finally brought it to us for free. The Glühwein and Wedges themselves were great.

If we are fans of Rembrandtplein, we always sit here. I always take blanc de namur, the tastiest wheat beer available. The nacho is really the best here, as are the bitterballen. Staff is super nice. Come often.

Mi pareja estaba echando de menos la comida del Reino Unido, así que probamos este pub irlandés como las críticas eran buenas. Encontré una bonita mesa afuera. Gran elección de clásicos habituales, tuvimos bangers y puré y costillas. Ambos estaban perfectamente cocinados y nos dejaron con la sensación de estar muy llenos. Buena elección de cervezas y sidras. La única desventaja de la ubicación es todos los borrachos y drogadictos rondando por la plaza, pero aparte de eso una buena experiencia de comida de pub sólido.

Ate there on a recent trip to Amsterdam. I had the Sunday Roast and my daughter had fish and chips. Portions were massive and the food was delicious! Wine and cocktails were lovely! Would definitely recommend

Great view. Cheap chairs and tables that are uncomfortable to sit on. We ordered an ice tea and got max. 100ml ice tea with lots of ice for almost 4€ each. Therefore, that’s a no for me. Teas weren’t even that good tho. Arizona with some sparkling water.

South African gentleman named Matthew was a phenomenal server and gave excellent local advice - would visit again.

Sat on the terrace for a drink, waitress was friendly. Prices for a glass of wine are high at 7.50.

Best Irish Pub in Amsterdam for years already.

Not gonna leave review about food & prices because the customer service should come first either way. First time in my entire life I've been asked out of a dining place 5 mins after paying because, according to the manager of the place, "it's football, baby". To the "lovely" (read: rude) blond russian speaking waitress / manager - No, it's not football, it's just a common courtesy to not shove the people outside as soon as they have paid theirbills. Apparently, for this place the table turnoover rate is more important than anything else, nothing to add here - stay clear!

Very pleasant bar on Rebrant Square with friendly staff, excellent hot chocolate and delicious and huge brownies.

I have been visiting this pub for years. It’s typically very busy but always seems to be adequately staffed. The food is so good! My favorite dish is the Cottage Pie, no way I could ever finish it - a very hearty portion. If you are lucky enough to visit on the day that the soup of the day is the Bloody Mary Soup then you are in for a treat.

Holy Cow! I should have taken a picture of the giant golden slab of beer battered Cod!! The fish and chips were fantastic! Perhaps the chips needed a bit of love, but the beer menu and Ambiance much make up for it. Shared the outdoor pavilion with some super friendly types from N. Ireland today. Perfect place to get a pint. Outdoor spaces all have heaters too!

That wasn't great. The food was so-so. The service was rather below average as I couldn't shake the feeling that hospitality was missing here. There are also deductions in the ambience because even the tables were partly defective.

Terrible waitress, old Dutch ginger lady kicked me and my friends out because they wanted to order drinks later and said if we don’t order “who’s going to pay my rent”. Very rude wouldn’t recommend. The other waiters were lovely.

I recently visited Saint James Gate and I have to say that my experience was anything but pleasant. Upon arrival we were greeted by an extremely unfriendly security guard. His attitude was downright hostile and not welcoming at all. This immediately set the tone for the rest of our visit. In addition, I thought it was scandalous that the prices for tourists were clearly higher. It seems that they are trying to take maximum advantage of visitors from outside the city, which is really unacceptable. In short, I would definitely not recommend Sint James Gate. The rude staff and misleading pricing practices made for a very negative experience. Don't waste your time and money here!

It is essential to visit it, elegant but at the same time simple and comfortable. If you are a sports lover you will always have a TV within reach to watch all the most important games and events of the day. Beers and liquors to taste.

Large Irish Pub style Bar in Amsterdams Nightclub area (NOT the Canals). Excellent cool pint of Guiness; and hearty full Racknof Ribs made for a super meal that offset the disappointing result of my favourite (English Premiere League) football club which I watched on one of their many large TV screens dotted everywhere in thier spacious indoor area..Also has a well served large outdoor area fully covered by umbrellas, overhead heating all chairs supplied with aj individual use blanket; making fir a cosy stay even in the chilli weather of late evening.

Really nice guinness IPA. Took a little bit of time to get attention but after that the service was good

Horrendous excuse of an Irish pub

Your boss is very irritating and tells you all kinds of stupid things. Don't go there.

The curly blond russian sounding waitress was extremely rude and unprofessional only because we asked for a bottle of coke zero after she messed up our order of 2 coke zeros where she brought one coke zero and one regular coke. She said she would change it but we saw her with the glass behind the bar and she clearly didn't. She made a point of calling us out in a way the whole terrace could hear it because we kindly asked for a bottle instead of postmix to make sure it was really zero which she made a big deal out of because bottles only get given with mix drinks and continued her extremely rude behaviour. Not cool at all. Having been in hospitality for 13 years it was bang out of order the way she treated her customers as she was very snappy and pushy with other patrons too, and no the terrace was not full and inside was practically empty. The dark headed lady was very friendly though

Very tasty snacks and Guinness are always possible, especially on warm days. We were very satisfied and the price was also reasonable. Clear recommendation 👍👍 *Addition: We were there again in the evening, the food was also very tasty, large portions and tasted great😇

We stopped at this lovely terrace and ordered some wine which was perfectly bad. To follow, we ordered a wonderful mozza and pesto sandwich which must have been made by a blind child, the products are absolutely not quality. And the second course of particularly bad ribs with overcooked fries. My congratulations to the chef who should change careers.

Excellent fish and chips! The fish tasted fresh and was beer battered to perfection. Sitting at an outdoor table facing Rembrandt Square on a lovely day was perfect for people watching.

Best pub in all of Amsterdam and right in Rembrandtplein. The servers seem to all love their jobs - they have so much fun and are super friendly. Will be back!

We had great service. She was very attentive and very friendly. The food was good and the price was also okay. We were able to sit outside with blankets and a patio heater. The pub is right on Rembrandtplatz.

Superleuke avond gehad. Begonnen met de beste Irish Coffee die we ooit gedronken hebben. Daarna mijn allereerste Guiness (en ook gelijk mijn laatste 🫣). Heerlijke biertjes voor mijn partner en ik genoot van een onverwachte en verrassende whiskey proeverij (6 whiskey 's). David (barman/eigenaar) geniet ervan om je mee te nemen in de wereld van bieren en whiskey's. Dat je niet met"groepen" binnen kan komen is heel begrijpelijk. Het is een kleine en knuse pub. Plek voor maximaal 4 personen per tafel. Gezellig en intiem! Wij komen zeker terug wanneer we weer eens in de buurt zijn!

Don't go here for sport. An Irish bar, with Ireland playing England at Rugby in the six nations but they had post match analysis of some crystal palace football on the main screen despite the bar being full of people wanting to watch the game and asking multiple times. Other than that all pretty average. We left at half time as I couldn't see the small screen at the back without my binoculars. Cocos is much better for sport.

Good and welcoming Irish pub with amazing food. Beef Guinness and Irish stew are my highlights of the menu. And of course, you can expect some quality beers on tap. My personal favorite is Kilkenny 👌

One of my favorite places to sit, great atmosphere and really nice staff. This is always my first recommendation for anyone who wants to do something fun in Amsterdam.

If you're passing through, walking around Amsterdam, it's nice to sit down and rest here! The atmosphere is great, the beer is refreshing. Our spring rolls and meatballs were delicious.

My wife and I popped in for our first dinner after arriving in Amsterdam, we were hungry and the pub looked inviting. I ordered fish and chips, it was perfect! My wife really enjoyed her bangers and mash. The vibe was nice and the staff were attentive and friendly.

A great place to rest your weary legs after a morning's exploring. Why not start the day with a Guiness?
