Not an Irish pub. Turned off the darts when the final started (wtf). And started playing bad bunny and tiktok music. Might have hearing damage from the volume. VERY DISSAPOINTED. One of the worst places in Amsterdam to drink a Guinness. Be warned!

very atmospheric place with good service. every time i'm in amsterdam i pop in for a few drinks. saw this bar while walking and decided to visit. that was a smart sentence. recommend to everyone!!

I have never seen such a beautiful bar floor. I danced the night away - hours, hours, hours. as the evening continued, I fell in love with the walls spinning around me. heavenly. must see place!

Hands down the most amazing experience I have ever had in my life. I was enlightened and enriched by the lively and fulfilled bartender. Loved it. Best beer and best food. Still completely bloody drunk though… get your moneys worth 100% Service was outstanding and so nice. For the German tourists, you definitely have to visit this bar when you visit Amsterdam. 10/10 best experience in my travels.

Used to be an amazing pub, now its run by backpacker style staff who prefer to drink at the bar instead of serve customers. The minimum requirement is looking a customer in the eye, but they failed at that.

A friend and I stayed for literally 6 hours yesterday at the pub chatting and watching football. The staff was super friendly, taking care that we didn’t have an empty glass on the table and the food was very nice. Highly recommended for anyone around The Pijp, specially for locals like us.

They charged us 50% more than menu price for the chicken wings, and the waitress didn’t know anything about the prices or menu. Either update your menu or honor your price. Should get shut down for that kind of practice. Funny that you say there’s two sizes. It says that nowhere on the menu and when we asked our waitress why the price was different she said she had no clue—maybe the flavor we ordered. Pointed at the 8,50 wings on the menu and was never given an option or the correct explanation. Maybe put that on your menu or train your staff? Seems like a classic bait and switch.

Excellent Irish Beer Pub in Amsterdam !! Very warm atmosphere, nice decoration, good music, fast and polite service. A wide variety of beers and the chicken wings very tasty and in large quantity!! A store worth visiting!!

A real Irish pub, a similar atmosphere and incredible food, superb value for money. I highly recommend it for breakfast, a meal or even an early evening.

This place is an Irish bar. Doesn't make you feel welcome very rude staff. Not one Irish thing to be seen in the bar.. very dirty where we were seated. Not worth the money. The food was horrible the nachos tasted gone off / stale. Not worth it also in a bad area.

I went to o donell's to get some beers to take away. I waited about 15 minutes to be completely ignored, until finally the girl at the bar decides to look at me but some drunk people jumped the queue and she served them before me even though I told her I was first. Oh yes it's an Irish pub so who cares about service right? The place isn't even very crowded. Just unprofessionalism from all the girls behind the counter. Terribly disappointed.

Great ambiance and rather spacious. Includes a pool tables. Unfortunately they don’t test the Guinness mid-way and if you ask they will tell you to take it or leave it 😢

The best pub in Amsterdam hands down! I strongly recommend coming here for a good time. Danny (the manager) went out of his way to ensure that our group was well taken care of as we had a surprise party. The amount of effort that Danny and his team put in was unmatched. It was a great experience and loved the atmosphere. You will not want to miss out on the best pub in town ;)

If a bartender can not tap a pint of Guinness and we try to help her and only thing what she can say is don’t tell me how to do my job.. then I am done sorry 😉 good luck with this kind of employees

We were served by a lovely young girl, Tyla. She was so lovely and bubbly and made our experience so special. She also gave us many tips on things to do in Amsterdam.

Got the Guinness stew it was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were so nice

A big disappointment. We wanted to have a drink and a snack on the terrace on Friday evening. Even though the terrace was almost empty, it took more than 10 minutes before we could order. It also took a very long time before the drinks were on the table. The ginger tea contained sugar and no honey and we received a coke zero instead of the normal one we ordered. We then ordered a portion of nachos which were brought to the table cold and soggy. This is very unfortunate. We won't be coming back here anytime soon. Hopefully this helps!!

Had 2 pints and some fries. Staff was nice and beers on point but what gives them the 5 stars is the cat....

Regular bar with mediocre beers and food. Ok place to meet with friends if you don’t fancy something super nice. However, I wish you guys to not meet the guy who says he is the owner of the place, as he is really unpleasant and unprofessional man. Simply doesnt know how to handle unexpected situations and work with customers. + be ready, that this new wave of waitresses for some reason asks for the tips, which in my opinion, is inappropriate and should not be happening in Amsterdam at all.

Love this pub - always make a point to go here when in Amsterdam. Pool table has seen better days but it's still a fun place

Kitchen closes at 10pm. Service took a while, but the waitress was very attentive and friendly. Very pleasant place.

Great service, good beer and Pino Grigio. Ordered the snack platter and for €28 it was dismal… very little on the platter. The burger looked great though.

Great place to meet friends and perfect service!

I rarely write negative reviews, but this place has left me no choice. The service here is an absolute disaster. We sat on the terrace and waited for 20 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. We had to get up and walk to the waiter ourselves just to order drinks. Then, it took another 30 minutes before anyone came to take our food order, and once again, we had to walk up to them – all this while the terrace was nearly empty, with only four tables occupied. It's shameful how slow they are. This wasn’t a one-time fluke either. It was my second time experiencing this horrendous service. I thought the first time was just a bad day for them, but clearly, this is their standard. We ordered burgers and fries, and the food was equally disappointing. The burgers were awful – the meat was super chewy, and the salad was clearly old and bad. We could barely take a bite. One of the waiters was nice, but the lady who served us had a terrible attitude. When it came time to pay, we waited more than 40 minutes, and again, no one came, so we had to walk up to them. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with the service and food (we didn’t eat anything), the lady didn’t offer any apology or discount. Instead, she had the nerve to say they were doing a good job. The first time I visited, I also had to wait 30 minutes every time I wanted to order something – it seems like they don’t want to make money. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. I certainly won't be coming back. Plus, we paid 78 EUR, for drinks and bad burgers for 3 persons!

What a bad place, the service is really dramatic, fifteen minutes before closing we are sent away and the waiter says shut up and go home. Don't go here, the staff is extremely unfriendly

Homophobic and sexist - my girlfriend and I waited for a bartender to order a drink at the bar for a very long time and she served some men who came long after us. After we pointed out that we've been waiting for her for a long time, she still continued to serve the men first. And this is the pride night! We ended up leaving without a drink.

Not great. Drinks were fine, but even for guests they charge a flat fee to use the bathroom 🤯

Great pub, but wish we could have stayed a little longer. Even though the place was half empty, and we were far from closing time, the staff made it clear that we had to leave if they didn't want to eat anything else (there were 4 of us and everyone had already bought at least one thing to drink or eat)

Really enjoyed both of my visits here while in Amsterdam. Plenty of space and a pool table in the back - drinks were well priced and the service was always friendly. I wish I had tried the bitterballen looking at all the other reviews! I just wasn’t hungry when I was there… A nice Irish pub ☘️

My favourite bar in Amsterdam! Amazing atmosphere especially for watching football matches, seating area inside and out which is great and very good prices for the area!

Just had some fries and a snakebite. The fries were pretty good and the snakebite alright. Service was top class though and really nice, fun and super kind :)

A really great pub, many (special) beers, top burgers and a phenomenally delicious English breakfast. If you visit Amsterdam, you should also visit this store on Marie Heinekenplein. You can actually go there from early in the morning to late at night for breakfast, lunch, dinner, watch sports on the big screen or just enjoy a drink at the super long bar. I highly recommend this business

An always pleasant terrace for a snack or a drink. With sun and good service. Almost always in English, but oh well. We brought the dogs with us and were given a bowl of water without asking 😀

Nice variety of drinks, normal Amsterdam prices. Good place to get Guinness on tap. Didn't try the food, but visually they seemed very nice. Service was a bit weird. Super fast to remove empty cups but slow to get orders. That specific day you could hear an insane amount of cups being broken all the time.

Actually never had a nice time here (coming here 5 years cos there’s nowhere else where there’s always space free). Somehow, makes Irish pubs seem inhospitable and unfriendly. Food is grand but takes too long. Drinks are shocking and they don’t know how to pour. Service couldn’t be *rsed and the managers aren’t bothered by a thing. Disappointing honestly

Lots of screens to watch the sports on, very friendly staff, huge outdoor area for when the weather permits and efficient bar staff when it’s busy. It’s also one of the bigger irish bars in the city.

Cosy sports bar with pool table. We went to watch a Barça match and they showed it on a projector. We were surprised by the quality of the food for the type of bar it is. The chicken wings were very tasty. The staff is young, friendly and attentive.

This place is great—our local pub and always a chill atmosphere. But....bring back the o.g. veggie burger! We used to look forward to the homemade veggie burger but it's recently switched to something tasting of the frozen section from Albert Heijn. Everything else is spot on.

The pool table is a bit worn out and is awkwardly placed. You can't take most of the shots without having your stick in the face of someone on the adjacent tables. Otherwise it's a fun Irish bar.

Waren an Silvester in dieser Bar. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend, die Stimmung war hervorragend und die Barkeeper aufmerksam und sehr gut gelaunt. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.
