Best Irish pub in Amsterdam. Good music, great beers and friendly staff. I lost my driver’s license and the day after I got a message via LinkedIn that they had found it. Great service and very honest. Would recommend!

Bar stuff so rude and impolite, i felt ignored and discriminated. We where 20 min waiting in front of the bar and not even looked at me or my friends, they make u know you re not a local for sure. Never coming back.

The service was rude and slow. They gave us a wrong and more expensive cocktail. When we said this they gave is the good one but still kept the more expensive one on the bill. The guinnes came in a normal glass and tasted like dog water. After we asked about it he never came back. I used to go here, but now ill never return.

Ordered 2 pints of Guinness here. I don't know what I was drinking but it definitely wasn't Guinness, even if I was high as a kite when I was here. Really weird almost grape-like taste to it, yuck. Staff did walk up to us outside to take our order even if almost no-one was sitting outside, but they told us they were closing off the outside section and asked us to come inside, after we ordered, as we were just starting to enjoy enjoy the ambience. Felt very rushed.

Bad service multiple times I was here. Takes a long time before I get my drinks we got the wrong drinks and its crazy that an Irish pub has such bad Guinness this guinnes was the worst I’ve ever had and it’s not served in a Guinness glass either

We ordered 3 large Guinees and 1 mescal mule. They brough 3 Guinees that tasted like a old water barrel that wasint tapped as it should. Also they brought the wrong cocktail and still put it on the bill.

An ok pub but an Irish bar this is not. There’s nothing to distinguish it from any other standard bar. My friend and I got pint of Guinness there with big bishop’s collars and one was enough for us.

This is one of the best pubs in Amsterdam! I’m a regular customer and it never lets me down when I’m looking for a good time. The staff are so friendly and chatty, it really adds to the whole experience of being in an Irish pub. The waiters Oonagh and Neo are class craic. Oonagh actually sang a song for me tonight so I said I’d have to leave a review! So if you’re ever there keep an eye out for the ginger waitress and she might sing you a tune or two!

They are definitely thieves, I went for a coffee with my friends, one of them paid only his consumption in cash, I with my own eyes, in the end when paying the entire bill, we ordered, they brought us the bill and they were charging us for everything, including what my friend paid. The woman kept saying no and no and locked herself saying no, then my friends identified the waitress they paid and she indicated that it was correct, but they had already charged me the entire bill, they admitted their mistake, they only apologized and did not give us a refund, it was such an uncomfortable and unprofessional moment for these types of girls who do not know what they are doing.

Came for an early dinner. The pub was not full, and there were at least 4 staff working. But no one came to see if we wanted anything. The menu was subpar (burgers, sandwiches, and nachos) and apart from one breakfast dish no Irish fare. We left after a while and spent our money somewhere else. .

Came here couple of weeks ago during my holiday The bar staff are quiet rude, snappy and inattentive towards the customers it seems like taking our order is a problem for them especially from the lady who rolls her eyes at customers. Better bar staff is what this bar needs But there is good stuff too about this bar when we sat down we were served by a waiter named Alex and he honestly made us feel so much better after the bar people we dealt with. He is very attentive and funny and always serves you with a big smile and doesn't miss a beat to make us laugh! Atmosphere is warm in the bar to sit down and enjoy some beer and some snacks! Alex just makes the bar atmosphere way more welcoming and fun! 🌟

We love it here! This is our local Irish pub. They have good beers and food, great service and the staff go above and beyond. From helping us out with lost belongings to airing specific sports games. Extra thanks to the manager Danny for organising an AFL grand final event for us!

Can't believe I have to write a negative review on an Irish pub. I do have to write it though, as I've been reading through the reviews and I have seen others with the same experience from before our visit. Leaving me to wonder how this pub has such a high rating? We had many pints of Guinness in amsterdam, in different locations - this one was the worst. We were looking to have food and drinks. The place was busy enough but there was plenty of staff to take an order. We found a table easily enough too. Went to the bar to order 2 pints of Guinness, standing there for what felt like forever. Finally a young man took our order, poured step one of the pint, charged us and just disappears. A woman came by and started pouring loads of Guinness pints. I tried asking her to top off my pints and she just ignored me. It took about 15 mins to get someone elses attention after that. I felt like going around and sorting it myself. However, I waited. I was looking around the pub and thought its a bit busy, not as busy as it does be in Ireland - where you'd still get served in good timing. The blond woman behind the bar was just standing there(looking outside), continuing to ignore me. Finally a young man got behind the bar. I asked him about my pints and said the other man disappeared. He told me to wait for him!! I said absolutely not, you're both just standing there doing nothing. Then the blonde woman Finally topped off 2 pints and slammed them onto the bar. I'd have left in that moment, those pints shouldn't have been left so long and the service was so far, shocking. But wed already paid. We drank the pints, which were awful. But we said we'd have another one for the benefit of the doubt. Sitting at a table we were waiting on the wait staff to take an order. The table beside us had a group of men watching the match and were served twice while we were drinking our pints. My husband went to the bar and was served right away by the blonde woman. The pints this time were also terrible. The staff clearly can't pull a pint of Guinness and certainly don't know about good basic customer service. It's push back on the lever to finish a pint of Guinness, by the way. Our pints were finished about 20 minutes and we decided to leave at half time. Only when we were leaving did a waitress approach us and offer any food or drinks. We were right beside the bar. This waitress though, was very busy and probably the only staff member who was actually working. 1 star for the amount of tvs in the pub. We felt so unwelcome. There's a great Irish bar in Leidzeplein- I'd recommend trying there instead. Their Guinness and service was great!

Beer we had was good but not worth €10 for a pint!! There are far better beers in the world and in Amsterdam and they are NOT even close to €10 in pint size!! It looked like a good pub, but you could not open a tab. Yesterday I was there as an Arsenal fan to see the Arsenal game. We went at halftime to the O'Riley's pub - no complain for food, beer and service there - we went away because my friend kept complaining every minute how much he disike the service, prize, atmosphere... He was siting by the bar and the employees didn't approch him. There were a lot of young people in the staff, so maybe they were to much inexperience and we had bad luck. But the prizes are absolute ridiculous!!

No double pour. No Guinness glasses. For €8.40. A cool pinball machine, though.

Good atmosphere and really nice customer service. However, I do not rate the Guinness here at all. Not properly poured, and every pint I had seen, had an average head of about 1 inch. I left after my first pint and wont return for their Guinness there.

Irish? I don’t think so. Trashy? Yes definitely! Horrible music and service. Looks like it’s run by dutch? people that never been to Ireland which is weird because it’s so affordable and close. Also please train your staff!!! How is that possible that the bartender doesn’t know how to draft a beer properly 😭😭😭

A really good Irish pub in the heart of Amsterdam with sports broadcasts. We were there to watch Formula 1, which is why the screen was lowered. Otherwise, the pub has a fantastic vibe. The food was very tasty, although unfortunately the fries were a bit cold when they arrived, but I think that was an exception because everything else was top-notch. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Went to this pub because the location was great and was looking forward for a nice beer and a burger after a long day of touring Amsterdam. Beer was good! Service was a little slow, only 1 server to handle both inside and outside customers. Food was HORRIBLE. Limited menu and kitchen was out of chicken, out of cheese. The hamburger was inedible! The meat was dense and tasted awful!! The French Fries were ice cold. If you don’t mind waiting you can enjoy a nice beer..,But avoid ordering any food!!!

Fair experience. I asked for a well done burger and got medium rare. My friend asked if they had HP sauce before he decided to order fries and was told they had it. However, once his order arrived they admitted they didn't. Service was lacking. They never once asked if we wanted to order more drinks or needed anything else. We had to track someone down just to pay our bill. Wouldn't go back.

Horrific 🙈 5 of us came in at 1:20pm, we had the Heineken museum booked for 2pm and this place looked very quiet, especially inside and looked like the perfect place for a quick lunch. How wrong were we 😂😂 We had our order in by Half 1, and another 2? Tables came in, maybe another 6 people came in to order food. We knew we were cutting it short anyway so we didn’t mind being a couple of minutes late for the museum. By half 2, the pub cat decided it would make an appearance. He was friendly but two of our friends weren’t the biggest fans. When the cat decided to jump on our backs and climb on our table one of our friends decided to leave the restaurant and came back in 10 minutes later out of fear of the cat 🙈 and then came back inside, and then the cat again climbed on top of the table. With one waiter and one bar woman behind the bar watching the cat. And a full table screaming, not one person decided to come and take the cat away. After it climbed on the table and hissed in our faces we had to ask for the cat to be removed and that’s when we found out the cat even has its own hole in the door to bring him were he lives 🙈. Not only we’re 2 of our friends not cat friendly but also obviously it can’t be hygienic to have a cat on top of the tables people are eating at. After 45 minutes we had to ask the barmaid the barmaid (who to be fair was lovely) where the food had gone to, she told us that one of the chefs had called in sick and only one lady was working in the kitchen, she said it should only be 10/15 minutes … it was not. Our food FINALLY came in sections … 2 SANDWICHS (no chips or anything spectacular) came together and another 10 minutes later another sandwich and cheese burger came … and another 10 minutes later another burger and fries came. The grand finale happened when the last poor chap got his burger and fries. After having 2 fries, he had a bite of his burger and the first bite was met with a lovely long long long blonde hair. Which he had to pull out of his mouth mixed with the burger. Which obviously he was disgusted. The waiter came immediately after watching him pull the hair from his mouth. We could see into the kitchen and could see exactly where the lovely hair came from with no hair net in sight. To be fair to the lovely chef with the long blonde/grey hair the sandwiches were lovely but after waiting over 1 hour and 20 minutes for 3 sandwich’s and 2 burgers we couldn’t find anything to appreciate with our experience. Thank you to the barmaid that gave us 10% off our meal at the end. We made it to the Heineken museum at 3:30pm.

Highly recommend this place. We had the spicy chicken sandwich and washed it down with Guinness. The service was amazing and the outside seating made for a great experience.

Georgia was an excellent bartender! Her service was fast, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. She made everyone feel welcome and handled a busy bar with ease and professionalism. Her positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out. Highly recommend! Will for sure come back to experience her friendly attitude😁 She really made my Guinness 10x better even when I didn’t split the G. Will definitely be back 🕺

Honestly, super rude. We were just sitting there finishing our drinks, and out of nowhere this girl (she looked like she was maybe 18?) comes over and goes, “Put your beers away and get out.” Like… what?? No one told us they were closing, no last call, nothing. She didn’t even try to be polite about it. She said the same thing to other people too, just walking around telling everyone to leave like we were a problem. The whole vibe was off. Definitely not coming back, there are way better places that actually treat people with a little respect.

Unfortunately, our experience here was terrible, largely due to the blonde waitress who served us. From the start, she was extremely unfriendly—no smile, no warmth, and definitely no effort to make us feel welcome. It felt like she had no energy or care left in her at all. What made it worse was how aggressively she handled things. She slammed the glasses on the table like she was angry, almost throwing them. When we politely asked for something simple like extra sugar, her response was, “I’ll try my best,” in the most dismissive tone possible. Really? That’s basic customer service. It’s one thing to have a rough day, but treating guests like they’re a burden is unacceptable in hospitality. We left feeling completely unwelcome and uncomfortable. Would not return.

Not worth the visit. This place is skippable. The staff was rude and unprofessional one of them kept rolling his eyes at us, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and unpleasant. It completely ruined the visit for me. I honestly don’t see myself coming back.

I rarely write reviews, but this time I made an exception. The lady named Korina helped me so much. She was so sweet and helpful when I asked her advice about my wine. She thought along well and chose the best wine for me. Purely because of her I would come back again!

Okay experience. Had to ask to show some matches, major bias towards English football versus other (Irish) sports.

***MY HONEST REVIEW*** The atmosphere of the place is nice, and it is well located. But stick with drinking beer there I must say. I do not recommend, however that you order a COCKTAIL, those are a SCAM. I ordered a Long Island and it just tasted like ice tea, then I went inside to speak to the waiter saying that my cocktail was super weak. I asked her how come there’s supposed to be four types of alcohol in there, and it just tasted like ice tea? She replied to me saying that it was properly made, but then I asked how many doses of each drink do you add to it and she said that was pre-made in the morning, in other words, a scam, not a real Long Island cocktail. If she had added a real dose to my drink, or made a real one, I would’ve been happy, but instead she was TRYING to DEFEND a cocktail that was POORLY made, and that’s why I came here to write this review.

The service is abysmal and the prices are made up on the spot. It calls itself a football bar, but the screens turn off in the 80th minute. PS: The Guinness tastes like the keg is connected directly to the sewer. All in all, absolutely not recommended.

A spacious pub in the Pijp area, good to sit with groups. We come here after work, they have nice selection of beers and okay food (not the best food but it's a pub, so no big expectations)

Usually lovely place for a couple beers and chill night, however last night there was drunk staff and drunk guests throwing glasses on the floor till they broke. An employee was sitting with his shirt all drunk next to the throwing guests and laughed, encouraged, and participated with the guests who were throwing glasses. I've never been to a bar where the employees encouraged throwing glasses and sit drunk next to guests in their uniform. Total disregard for safety of other guests and a shame for all people who ever worked hospitality.
