O'reillys Irish Pub in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

We visited O'Reilly's 3 times during our trip to Amsterdam with our infant. We're from Ireland and wanted some home cooked food for our son who is a fussy eater. On the first occasion we asked for spuds and gravy which was perfect. The second time we asked for the same and they asked if we wanted a small sausage with it. The third time we ordered the same and were told after ordering that they could only provide the adults portion of 'bangers and mash.' We had already had lunch so we asked if we could cancel the order as we only wanted a small baby portion. The waitress was lovely but her senior was rude and told us that the order had already been processed and couldn't be cancelled despite the food taken a further 20 minutes to be served. This experience ruined our previous experience in the pub/restaurant. As Irish people we are very friendly and helpful and would never have experienced this back home. It's a shame some staff don't share the same characteristics.

Walked in and asked waitress if they were still serving food which she relied "yeeeeeeeessss" as if I was an idiot for asking. Then I waited for 20minutes before another waitress came and asked if I had ordered. I was replying "I'm waiting on the other waitress" but she walked off before I finished the word waiting. I decided to wait a bit for the other one to come back or them to realise there was no order but nope, 40minites after walking in I go find the original waitress and ask can I order food Food was great as always but when paying the bill at 16euro by cash the waitress says,"you don't want your change right?. I was going to say yes I do because you don't deserve it but I just said no to get out faster. I don't expect smiles and all happy happy but that was such a bs experience.

Legitimate Irish pub in Amsterdam

You have to visit an Irish pub while doing a city break right?, well this one beats the lot. Amazing staff and really good food I don’t have a bad thing to say about this place. We were in Amsterdam last weekend for a birthday, we popped in here one afternoon for a pint and almost didn’t leave 😂 Evening meals, breakfast or just drinks this place is a 10/10 The staff are great, we were even given a round of baby Guinness on the house for the birthday girl. Great Irish Pub in Amsterdam. Wait staff were all from Ireland. We had a cider, asking with cottage pie and fish and chips. Both were very good. Two servers assisted us as they came by and both were very nice and helpful. They had cricket and Gaelic football reruns on the TV.

Food was soooo good!! Definitely going back there again soon❤️❤️

Great place, fantastic range of the beers and whiskeys that make Irish pubs in mainland Europe the wonderful little oases that they are. Just popped in for a beer and a dram at the bar, great service and reasonable prices in an ideal location, right next to Dam Square.

Beautiful pub. Especially when there is a football game and you met the fans. We visited it in Amsterdam and we loved it, pure smell and atmosphere of a British pub that you want to go and visit. We ordered some Guiness (from another world) and potatoes. You can order at the bar or sit down if you found a place (difficult)

Fantastic atmosphere. Any beer you can dream of. I didn't eat there so I don't give stars for the food. Although if I get the chance I'll go for Fish and Chips, it looked good. I'm here again. It's worth coming back. Fish and chips are amazing. The atmosphere is even better than last time.

Amazing spot for a touch of Ireland in Amsterdam. Amazing team serving tables and you're NEVER betrayed by the kitchen. A must go and return when in Amsterdam.

Not expensive compared to other Amsterdam bars and in the most central location possible. Good beer and decent food served by efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

A solid Irish pub in the heart of Amsterdam, that's been there forever - perfect for catching a game or enjoying a pint of Guinness. The atmosphere is lively, staff friendly, and the menu is full of pub classics - only wouldn't recommend the nachos but I'll let you be the judge of that! 😂

Lovely pub and reasonable price for a full irish

Just had a nice nightcap after an evening in Amsterdam. And of course that included a pint of Guinness.

After arriving in Amsterdam after not having been there for 26 years, I roamed the city, reliving memories and finally exhausting myself to the point where I couldn't make one more decision that day. This is when I found myself at O'Reilly's. I was alone and feeling awkward, when one of the waitresses caught my eye and smiled at me. I walked over and sat down, feeling so welcomed. I sat outside, watching people going by, talking with the folks next to me, admiring their food. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming. The food (fish and chips) was absolutely delicious. I had two drinks and sat, happy and in love with Amsterdam again. I wish I knew the waitresses name... She was wonderful. I'll be back again each time I'm in Amsterdam. It's a new tradition. 5/5

Looks like an Irish pub but way to loud to be an actual Irish pub. But the guys was good and the service was great. It's like an actual Irish pub in that you just find your own seats.

Had breakfast here whilst staying in Amsterdam food was just right nothing special but by no means bad a solid option for a full irish staff very nice

Nice place if you want good beer and honest and friendly service. Even if the stairs to the toilet seems scary after a few drinks, it somewhat fits to it / gives it a authentic atmosphere. Also good for spending time on their outside premises, having drinks and watch the streets.

We were in Amsterdam for 3 nights, and we didn't find a pub with a better atmosphere than this. We spent each evening in here. All the staff were super friendly. Lots of seating. Food was delicious.

Football on and Irish music playing so very loud. Sat outside took a little while for the waitress to take our order but it was very busy. She was lovely and concerned that we had to wait. Would go back the staff are lovely. Had the Bitterballen which were great.

Popped in the for Sunday roast which was advertised outside, the bar was busy but got seated at the bar, friendly bar staff, quick service. Unfortunately the roast wasn't the greatest, tough beef and a frozen Yorkshire but certainly had worse. Would certainly come back for another meal and a cider

Wat een geweldige pub! De sfeer is ontzettend gezellig en authentiek, precies wat je van een echte Ierse pub verwacht. Het personeel is vriendelijk en gastvrij, en de bediening was snel. De selectie van bieren en whiskey’s is fantastisch, en het eten – vooral de fish and chips – was heerlijk. Live muziek zorgde voor een levendige, ontspannen avond. Zeker een aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar een sfeervolle plek om te genieten van een drankje en goed gezelschap!

Awesome staff and a great experience. The best chicken wings I've tasted in ages. Nice cold beers. Not to forget the Snakebite on the drinks menu. Half beer along with half cider with black current juice. This to me brings me back to my younger days. All in all, great fun venue.

Very friendly staff and nice place in the centre of Amsterdam. There is alot of places to sit. The burger i ordered was very tasty. Reservation is recommended with bigger groups, because it can be crowdy.

Nice Irish pub in a good location. The pub is definitely worth a visit with nice food and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Their menu is extensive with great choices offered. The Irish stew and Irish pie we ordered were delicious and served promptly. We would definitely revisit again and recommend this venue when visiting Amsterdam!

Our day in Amsterdam and after a week of food from our river cruise, we were craving burgers and beers. We came upon O'Reillys and stopped in. Best decision! Burgers and fries were just perfect. The best were our waitress. I wished we had gotten there names. One was from Ireland, the other from Scotland. Not only did they take care of us, they gave us so many tips and advice for the next day ( Pride Amsterdam) We passed the restaurant the next day and they checked in on us, making sure we were good for the day! Awesome people, awesome food!

O'Reillys Irish Pub is a fantastic place to visit. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, exactly what you expect from an Irish pub. The variety of beers is impressive, with both local and international options sure to please any beer lover. The people are friendly and hospitable, which contributes to the warm atmosphere. One small downside is the service; Although most employees are very attentive, sometimes you have to wait a while before you are noticed. This can be frustrating, especially on busy evenings. However, the prices are fair and match the quality of the offering. A point of improvement could be to serve the Belgian beers in the correct glass. I ordered a Rochfort 8, but received it in a Leffe glass, which makes the experience a little less authentic. Nevertheless, O'Reillys Irish Pub is definitely worth a visit for a fun night out.
